Overall: I thought it was a pretty good squad based shooter. Yet, most missions seemed similar after having you full team together. Pretty fun, but not a whole lot in the way of level diversity though.
Gameplay: Good controls, interesting special abilities, cool weapons, some pretty good team and enemy AI. Although, after a few missions, things started to get repetative, for me at least.
Graphics: The visuals are good, especially for being one of the first gen games for xbox. The enemies are well detailed, there just isn't a very big variety of them to see. The atmospheric affects were pretty cool, but once again, repetativeness here too.
Sound: Teammate chatter, weapons fire, explosions, enemy chatter and orders all done pretty well. Some of the voice acting is pretty flat, and the background soundtrack is forgetable at best.
Suggestions: Pretty good game, make a more in depth and diverse offering of Brute Force for the 360, overall a fairly entertaining title though.

Overall: Fun game but way to short and hardly any replay value. There are three modes to choose from which are campaign, deathmatch and squad deathmatch.
Gameplay: The campaign mode is fun, I like how they bring in your teammates. You end up with four players to switch back and forth while playing(Tex, Flint, Hawk and Brutus) each player has there strengths and weaknesses and you must use them to your advantage. The game is way to short though as it is over before you start it.
Graphics: It looks great, real good cinematics. The characters and environments look very nice. However, the camera control could have been better.
Sound: Sounds good, the voice-overs are pretty good and the mouths of the players are spot on. The weapon and grenade sounds could have been better, not very realistic.
Suggestions: More weapons, bigger and more levels, the addition of Xbox Live would boost the replay value.

Overall: This game was hyped way too much. I was expecting Halo 2 mixed with the element of Rainbow Six. I got an ok game that was very repetitive, had no good, plot, and that just wasn't a great gaming experience overall. I had fun playing the game with friends at first but as hours rolled by, I found myself wanting to sleep rather than playing another second of the game. The game frustrated me and the developers just failed to deliver on a really great idea. But I just think that the overhype of this game killed any chance of it being a success.
Gameplay: Repetitive. The only aspect I liked was how each member of the squad had a specialty. It brought an element that hasn't been brought before in too many other games. I truly enjoyed the fact that you can have a 4-player co-op. An aspect that should be incorporated more often in games, especially squad-based games. But the gaming itself had little to do with strategy which is essential in squad games. It was just too repetitive and too much about killing.
Graphics: It looked very nice. The visuals are really appealing. The sci-fi environment that was created was just impressive and it was just an awesome game to look at.
Sound: Meh, nothing spectacular. It wasn't good but at the same time, didn't have me scrambling for my ear plugs. It needed work but FPS are never really about the sound so I won't beat them up too badly on it.
Suggestions: Overall, it just needed to be a better game. Get a screenwriter to get you some good plot points and add different aspects to the game like strategy and the fact that its ok to sneak around sometimes.

Overall: I would first like to say that I bought this at Superstore (in a pack that contained this and Halo). Seeing how this pack costed 3 cents less than Halo (Superstore lowered it seeing how it wasn't selling good) it was a steal!
Overall this game let me down big time. I heard that it sucked before on gaming sites, and when I played it, it was way to easy, very fast to beat, squad based tactics are useless and more! To top that all off the story goes no where!
Gameplay: The first thing they did wrong is try to copy Halo, and make it in 3rd person. Next is the squad based tactics... Which is useless! Unless you have 2-3 other friends with you, your "fellow" squad members are going to die. All they do is get lost, and eventually die. They wander off too much if you leave them alone, so you have to switch to them and bring them back by yourself, and sooner or later your going to have to do a level all by urself through out the whole game. Next thing is that the weapons suck badly, and need some redesign. Also the missions were way too easy, and I beat the game in a matter of hours, but the multiplayer mode is alright. Too bad they didn't have live so you could play online if your alone.
Graphics: I guess this is the best part of the game. The graphics are great, and all the characters look great! Although the maps are very similar.
Sound: The character voice are pretty lame (Take a look at Brutus). Also all the guns sounded the same, and it lacks music. In conclusion there should've been more variety.
Suggestions: Burn it to the ground, then start again. AND THIS TIME don't try to copy Halo.

Overall: This game had alot of hype, and not alot of polish. There were alot of shotcomings, and why the 3rd person? It would have been alot better in first. Its not terrable, but so many things should have been fixed before this game was released.
Gameplay: Wow, the A.I. is HORRIBLE! And the weapons, WHY DOESNT THE ROCKET LAUNCHER HURT ANYTHING! Most of the guns are mediocre at best, and far to similar. Your "squad' is useless suicidal proned. Shooting was realy weak, and repetative, with controls that didnt allow for any real accuracy. Back to the A.I., why can the enemy ALWAYS know where I am? And shoot me when their back is turned?
Graphics: The games best quality, yet also flawed. (go to level with the pyramid and look behind you when you start at the crashed ship in the water form the side and you'll see its engines aren't attached.)
Shadows are blocky and explosions are weak.
Sound: It's there, and I'm too lazy to actually type anything interesting or constructive about it. Sorry.
Suggestions: Don't take code from HALO and ruin it. And if you allow all the hype, put-up or shut-up. this game wasn't even close to what it claimed to be.
The entire point of a rocket launcher is to BLOW THINGS UP! not to go *poof* and fizzle enemies to a slow death.

Overall: Man what were they thinking? I watched the trailer and it looked sweet! When I rented it, it was one of the biggest dissapointments.
Gameplay: I'm not really sure because I played a lot of multiplayer which was actually okay. When I did play single player I didn't like it.
Graphics: This game does have some pretty nice visuals. The levels look nice and when you go into specials mode, the game looks cool. I would compare the level visuals to Halo's.
Sound: Not much to talk about here. Let's see. The guns sounded regular, nothing to cool. I didn't really remember the music but I guess I'll give it a 3.

Overall: Brute Force- the game that had everyone talking before it came out still has the same people talking about it, whether or not its in the same attitude. When I opened the bright green box for the game I had been waiting for for over 2 years, excitement ran through me. I was in bliss for the first few minutes. Wow. what genious. Easy controls. Great multiplayer. Wide variety of weapons, players. What more could one ask for? Well, a few things. For me, if I'm not hooked to a game immediately(and by immediately i usually mean a few levels into it) I'll throw the game down and never look at it again. Brute Force got me hooked in that respect, but it had failed to keep me there asking for more. The plot was good, but the gameplay part was just the same every level. It was compared to Halo before it came out, which probably helped to debase it for me. Yes, every game is repetitive(well, most), but this one seemed to me to be just the same thing over and over again. It was fun, but I ended up not even finishing the thing. Its still sitting in my little pile of games which i don't play. Brute Force: a tragedy
Gameplay: Well, the gameplay is, as I have said before, repetitive. The controls are great. I remember reading somewhere that Microsoft or whatever studios it is that made this game hired Bungie to aid in creating the HUD, reticle and controls. That I would not doubt. The controls are great. They are simple and easy to master. Anyway, back to the gameplay. Simply, it is repetitive. You start off with Tex. Pretty simple. Run around, shoot some people, get more guns, throw some grenades, shoot some more people, etc. In the next few levels you get more teammates. As i recall, then you get Brutus, who is basically the same as tex but can "see" in the dark and is annoying to listen to. Flint's the sniper who can auto-snipe, which really isnt too useful because it didnt always work anyway. You may need 2-3 shots with that which already gives away your position. Hawk is a stealthy with like no life whatsoever and when playing on Brutal she dies pretty fast. the levels all seemed the same to me. They were just either: Run in with tex and shoot people. same with brutus. Run in with hawk all invisible and such and blade people, snipe from a distance, or use a "strategy," which got pretty repetitive also.
Graphics: The graphics are pretty good in this game. I mean, they aren't "super" by any means, but they're definitely pretty good. Nothing special. The cut scene's graphics were pretty good, imo. Everything seemed a bit choppy though when you played four player and a lot of 'splosions were happening. But then again, what can you say? you cant help that...for the most part. Im not one to judge graphics to much, as I dont really care. To me, a game is about the gameplay and whether or not it has sufficient multiplayer worthy of massive replayability. Overall, these graphics were good.
Sound: Again, Im not one to judge sound, music, sfx, voice acting or anything of the sort because frankly, i could care less. To me, it doesn't inhibit the gameplay to have bad sound(unless its really, REALLY bad). Overall though, this sound was good. You could see the mouths moving and such and hear the environment around you, hear your gunshots, the people you shoot, etc.
I dont really know how to judge sound so I'll leave it at that
Suggestions: Focus less on advertising, more on developing it. Don't begin comparing it to halo until you are positive it will live up.

Overall: I've read a lot of reviews expresing disappointment in this game. I have to admit, the developer brought this on themselves by inviting comparisons to what is literally the best FPS game since the great Wolfenstein or Operation Wolf (yep, my video gaming days stretch back that far). However, Brute Force is not necessarily as bad as some of the extreme detractors are making out. The problem, essentially, is that it is not that good, either. I have spent quite a number of hours getting through the game, and I have to say that the overall experience was quite underwhelming in the end.
Gameplay: In the early stages, the game is actually a lot of fun. While it is quite repetitive, walking around a map and shooting the stuffings out of virtual characters is a great way to relax. Where it all starts to go wrong is when the squad-based gameplay kicks in. A prime example of this is the fourth mission. You're expected to protect a spy, so what is the first thing he does after you rescue him? You guessed it - he runs out into the middle of an enemy-occupied area and just sits there while they take pot shots at him. Once you get past this demonstration of turning stupidity into an art form, the fun factor picks up again for most of the following missions, but the fact is that the developers obviously spent more time on the enemy's AI than they did on that of the squad. All too often, your squadmates will just sit there, not moving an inch, whilst the enemy rains rockets, sniper bullets, and whatever else is on hand upon them. This really becomes frustrating towards the final missions, where the ability to move around, and quickly, is quite critical. Given the heavy specialisation of the troops, it can also be annoying to learn towards the end of a mission that you really needed to keep a particular soldier alive in order to complete your task. It was, however, good to have a sniping mode that actually works in the context of the game.
Graphics: Visually, I found the game quite pleasing most of the time. On a display of eighty centimeters or more, the exquisite detail is really apparent. But what is also apparent is an over-reliance on fog and environmental effects. It would also have been nice to be able to clearly see the enemy. Which is where the sniping feature comes in - oftentimes, it is far more effective to look through the sniper scope to see where enemies are than to perform any normal kind of visual inspection. The cutscenes are also quite nice, although sometimes it is easy to get the feeling that the developers put more effort into them than they did the levels. Everything in the game is very linear in movement, with impassable walls on either side oftentimes, and it becomes clear soon enough that the developers couldn't be bothered making an actual interactive level environment. Which reduces the whole thing to accomplishing objectives in order to see the next lovely cut-scene.

I saved the worst for last. The camera position - incredibly bad. The characters get in the way of your view so often it makes aiming a real challenge (not in a good sense), not to mention that the camera zooms right into the back of the character's head whenever their back is to the wall, which makes any rational decision about how to move them impossible.
Sound: They really ran out of steam by the time they got to this part of the game. It is as if the developers only had time to create weapon sounds and voiceovers. The voiceovers were not very well realised, either. There is roughly four and a half gigabytes of space on a DVD, so surely they had enough room to put a wider variety of lines in there. After hearing Brutus growl that this pack is no match for ours for the thousandth time, it gets so old that one would turn the sound off if they didn't need it to determine exactly when the enemy is firing. A custom soundtrack feature would have been nice, too, given that there is absolutely no music (or at least none that I remember) in the game, and trying to find one's way around is incredibly tiring without some kind of distraction.
Suggestions: First, ditch the third-person perspective. Shiny Entertainment could make it work in MDK, but you obviously cannot. Second, do more work on the sound - the audio component of this game is incredibly lazy to say the least. Third, if making the game so difficult that the player winds up doing the same thing twenty times over and screaming at his display as a result is the only way to make the game longer, then just go with a shorter game. Games are supposed to be fun, and nothing kills fun faster than repetition.

Overall: Way too over-hyped. I would recommend you rent it first and not just buy it the week it came out (like I did). It's an average game. Nothing like Halo like it was said to be.
Gameplay: The gameplay is ok. Most of the missions are go here, find this, blow it up, kill this. Your teammates are pretty stupid at times. The walk into lava and are killed. The levels get repetitive. You even return to the same places a few times. Also, a couple of the missions make no sense within the story. On the plus side, the multiplayer is good. Not anything like Halo but its alright.
Graphics: The graphics are good but they are a bit blurry. Some of the characters lack detail but mostly its just above average in the graphics department.
Sound: Theres not much music and the voice acting is a bit corny. Also, the weapons soind weak. This definately needs to be improved.
Suggestions: Overall this was a huge disappointment. If you are going to delay a game over and over while hyping it up make sure your making it good.

Overall: I was thinking this game would be better, i expected it to be online playable and not just the content. Lots of things to keep you going still though.
Gameplay: Gameplay is not too bad, story mode is ok and the downloadable content came in handy. You can download multiplayer maps which is cool.
Graphics: The visuals are really good. The best part of the game, it almost looks real.
The character detail is wicked and the maps look pretty impressive too.
Sound: Sounds are pretty normal. nothing out of the ordinary. Quite good jungle sounds and some good music. Shame there was no custom soundtracks, that would have made it even better
Suggestions: custom soundtracks.

Overall: I was definately expecting more from this game, especially with all the hype brought to it. everything is above average on this game, but certainly not magnificant by any measures!
Gameplay: The enemies in this game are based on each of the character's races in a way. There are humans you face, along with synthetics, mutants, and the lizard-like creatures (can't remember their name off hand).

Graphics: The graphics were pretty well done. Most people say there are really good but nothing really stood out to me. There are some pretty nice textures and particle effects but nothing AMAZING.
Sound: The audio in this game is decent, the voice acting is above average and the background chatter is good.

Overall: Brute Force is a solid title that lacks in just a few areas. Lots of fun, but the multiplayer mode is no where near Halo. Probably better suited as a first person shooter. Story is lacking and that kills the replay value and addictiveness. Graphics are good and everything else is supurb.
Gameplay: Not much stradegy here folks. As much as Brute Force would like you to think you're in a squad based shooter it tends to turn into more of a run 'n' gun shoot em' up. I would've liked to have seen more stradegy involved along with better Team A.I.
Graphics: Graphics are excellent. Very smooth animation. I think there should have been some levels taken place indoors to make the outdoor levels seem that much more brilliant. Using multiplayer the gameplay becomes choppy at spots when there are several foes on screen. Cut scenes are mediocre at best but they don't add to the game anyway... Character graphics are very well done in-game.
Sound: Sound is ok. Voice acting is kinda corny but I think that adds to the Sci-Fi element. The enemy one liners are great. Weapon sounds could be better but they're not too bad. Music is good too but dosn't add or detract from the game in anyway.
Suggestions: The game was good, but that's all. I think it failed as a squad based action title. This game would've been better suited as a "one man army" title. I like the other characters, but what should have been done with the squad aspect falling short would have been a option to choose which character you would like to play as... therefor choosing the style of play and stradegy. For example, choosing Tex would make it more of a run and gun game to survive, where chosing Hawk would make it a more recon-style, stealth to get by game.

Overall: Brute Force is not a very good game in the XBox scene; if you are a proud new XBox owner and don't have another 3D Shooter, don't spend your money in Brute Force.

Don't get me wrong, the game is sort of entertaining and the visual appeal is there, however the originality and addictiveness are missing.

There are a few new concepts that I really like about this game and it's the only reason why I gave it a 3.5 overall: The fact that you can join in Cooperative mode at any stage of the game whenever you want (I would love Halo to be able to do this), and the fact that you can play Cooperative mode with 4 players linked together.

In summary, I would recommend you to get Halo if you want a First Person Shooter or Splinter Cell if you want a Third Person Shooter to begin your collection of XBox games...
Gameplay: Gameplay is rather standard and straight forward. It's really easy to switch between characters and to command other soldiers. Way simpler than Ghost Recon Island Thunder but also the soldiers are way dumber! This strategic aspect of the game is probably it's second weakest point (after the camera as I will comment in Visuals)...

The money system that this game has is kind of absurd and useless... I like the fact that you keep the statistics of kills, re-clones, etc, this would be a nice addition to Halo 2...

The cooperative mode is nice and the fact that someone can join whenever they want is awesome, specially for Internet playing. I also like the fact that 4 players get to use exclusive characters in coop mode instead of being identical twins like Halo. I hate that when you go cooperative in Island Thunder you get to manage your own team,; Brute Force on the other hand make you a part of the team, I love this feature and would hope that Bungie takes note on this.. this cooperative features are the only reason I gave this game a 4.0, as for me is the only thing worth buying this game...

Graphics: The graphics are excellent! Nice textures and shadows, plus very detailed characters... Therefore you must be wondering why did I gave it a 3.0 only: Well the camera SUCKS big time... Whenever you are fighting or just moving around that annoying ghost in front of you just makes me sick!
Sound: Overall a good sound... Realistic gun fire and explosions. I love how the bullets ricochet in the steel walls. The soundtrack should be played more often. The only thing I hate is the sound of respiration when you are using the scope.
Suggestions: Just one:

Fix the camera !!!

Overall: Hmm, what can I say about Brute Force. Well, to start off with, I do give credit to the developers for the premise for the game. I do like the idea of having a team of players with different ability's. (ie. Stealth, Sniper, big !&%$@#* dinosaur that hits people...) And the option to control them for different aspects of the game is a novel idea, if it hadn't been done before... anyone ever play "the thing"? yea... and Half-Life: Opposing Force? Ok, that being said, the execution falls mighty short of what was promised. It pains me to say that, because I really really want to like this game. But the number one thing thats missing from this game is in my opinion is the environment immersion. Anyone can tell you that Halo had this and as amazing looking as that game is, the fact that you actually felt like you were a part of that story, is what sells it. It just does, think about it. I was hoping for the same thing from this game, but just as Mechassult didn't deliver on that, neither does this. It can be done. Return to Castle Wolfenstein proved that Halo wasn't a fluke. Better luck next time Microsoft, i'll be renting for quite sometime from now on. Because $50 bucks is just to much money to pay for something that lets you down.
Gameplay: I was sold on this game because of the game-play. From what I can tell right now? The game-play that was promised just isn't there. And believe me, i've waited for this game just as long as everyone else. To switch between the players is an easy task, but to issue commands for the team? In the middle of a fire fight?! Good lord, not only is it clumsy process, but it kills the momentum every-time you do it. Along with that, the commands you issue are so similar in nature, that in the end theres no friggin' point in doing it in the first place!! Disappointing to say the least. And with all the stuff going on, where it is fun, its a bit hard to keep track of your teammates, and dammit they get shot alot. Oh, and they're also retard and don't heal themselves like the "advanced A.I." they're supposed to be. Which brings me back to my point about the command menu. Flaws abound this game... and i'm sad about it.
Graphics: Now this is one of the few things I cant really complain about, because, well, the texture mapping is everything they said it would be. It is after all "Halo" in third person. But the action going on in front of your character is alittle hard to see, obviously because of the third person perspective. But hey, it does look pretty nice!
Sound: Really no problem with the sound, good explosions going on in the distance. Cheesy character voice overs as expected. All in all, not bad!
Suggestions: Figure out what makes Halo and RTCW so good and incorporate that into a decent third-person shooter. Try try again.

Overall: This game could have been a lot better. I was definitely deceived from the hype. Everyone said this would be a good hold over game in between the two Halo's but it really isn't. I felt the game didn't really have a purpose and the game play just wasn't that great. Everything seemed fake from the visuals to the sounds to the feedback from the controllers.

I felt ripped off after buying this game which was the only reason I played for more than 4 hours. I actually wanted to kill everything on the maps so I could feel better about the purchase. It failed. This game also failed to keep my attention for more than a day so now it's gone.
Gameplay: Compared to Halo and many other first person shooters, the game play in this game feels fake. The sounds of the gun and the reactions in the controllers just are not up to par when compared with Halo. The four player option is cool, but for some reason it's not that fun. In heavy battle scenes the screens gets cluttered and annoying to watch. The movies in between the stages are great, but that shouldn't be the highlight of a game.
Graphics: Visually, the movies in between the levels are great. There is definitely a PC feel to it. (Like watching the old Wing Commander movies.) During game play, the graphics are not all that impressive. The characters look like walking logs and the guns and aim look like walking logs.
Sound: There really isn't much to discuss here. I didn't really pay attention to this game's sounds though I'm sure the gunfire sounds helped the fakeness of how evertyhing seemed.
Suggestions: Hire someone from Bungee or at least play their game to see what a real FPS should feel like. Also, create a story that we would care about. Freeing lizards or whatever so they can join your team is not really an incentive to play.

Overall: what can i say, i was one of the people deceived by the hype and bought it without waiting for reviews. For that i thank brute force becuase they taught me a valuable lesson about wasting my money on hype. With that said i will try to remain unbiased in my review but i will tell you this even though i tried to force myself to like this game for the money i threw away i found myself quiting this game after like the fourth level becuase its just to repetive. the best part of this game is the multiplayer but the game is just not that good so not many people bought it which means no one to play system link with. what ever happened to live? great job microsoft you hype of live but take it away from the games that really needed it.
Gameplay: the unique characteristic about brute force is that you get to control a team of four. Each character playing pretty much the same way except some are allowed to use weapons others cant, some can take more damage than others aswell, and each has his own special unique ability. in the end i found myself playing with hawk and flint most of the time which is basically sniping and invisibly killing my opponents. Some people would prefer running and gunning with brutus and tex. At times i would have to plan a small stragety but nothing to extravagant. the game started off pretty slow in my opinion and the story line sucked. it was basically some army commander telling you to go here and kill people. Even after that i kept hope alive and tried giving the online multiplayer a chance to see if that would make up for it. Had it been live enabled maybe it would have been a saving grace but it didnt so i had to try and find people who had brute force. Population me D: luckily people on xbconnect.com were playing it to. but people were so far away from me that it was too laggy. i then tried to get my little bros to play with me on co-op mode but found myself yelling at them becuase they werent following my stragety. if the price drops below 20 i might get a second copy just to try out the system link with my brothers but i dont expect much.
Graphics: seeing as how games like splinter cell came out before this and have superior graphics and gameplay i see no reason why brute force should have sub par grahpics even to halo. and supposedly this was a halo killer? i think not. maps were very ugly and uninspired. becuase they took a step backwards in graphics i gave it a sub 3 score.
Sound: what sound? its bascially random saying from the characters and the sound of your guns firing. not good at all.
Suggestions: i dont wanna be rude but did you play your game first before selling it to the masses as a halo killer? next time include live and work on the story line. make the worlds alot bigger and with more than one route to the goal with traps and better AI and maybe even some friendlys to help your team out against overwhemly odds where you are forced to use stragety.

Overall: A great game that took for ever to come out. Since I had my preorder for my xbox I have been waiting for this game. I played with a friend and he was just running through everything and didnt try to look for stuff which was kind of crappy. Its a game that I think it is fun to explore cause of the quality of the graphics.
Gameplay: Controlls are a lot like Halo but with a more team type twist. Dosnt take long to get a custome to it except aiming at times. Great layout of boards and lots of fun
Graphics: lol what can you say it rocks. There are few games on the PC that even look as good as this. The visuals in this game are something you have to see for your self. It at times looks like you are in a cut seen but yet you are playing.
Sound: Good sound but with XBOX you come to expect this. Nothing special but it is smooth as butter and all worked out aso I give it a 5
Suggestions: MP on live

Overall: I didnt like i too much, they had a good concept going, but they messed everything up. there is actually no tactics, the game is entirely shoot um' up. i was looking for a more strategical game. u DO command your teammates well, but might as well just say, evryone, run and shoot like master chief. and btw, i didnt notice any location based damage besides when i was sniping with the sniper rifle. and when u goto the famous planet of the ferals, u wind up killing brutus thinking he's an enemy. you cant sneak at all, b/c even when your behind an enemy, he will see you if your not cloaked.
Gameplay: exactly like halo. the running, the shooting, hold x to do stuff, press x to reload, jump, run, shoot, and outgun. the major difference is more mines, and one car(hawk) gets a dagger.
Graphics: the scenary was good, they tried, but the plants were horrible, i was stabbed by trees and bushes alot. basically everyhting else i was OK with, especially when u get hurt your char see's all blurry. and when u play multiplayer split-screen, your character is all squished and distorted. i couldnt stand it.
Sound: it was great, the birds chirping, lava flowing, lasers blasting, guns blazing. i was pretty good with all the sounds that emmerged you into the game. Good Job!
Suggestions: make money usefull, i want to buy armor and guns for when i am deployed. none of this teleportation crap, i want to rondevous with the space shuttle to get us out. make a lvling up system, that way theres more replay value. put more strategy in the game. might as well play halo again. i couldnt stand it. i want to sneak with hawk, snipe with flint, and use tex and brutus as a BACKUP plan.

Overall: I've been gaming for 15 years. And take my score as you see it because it's as accurate as you'll get. I'm just too lazy to write a big review; because I don't care to... Brute Force is not as good as everyone whould have liked it to be. It's just a good game, not great.
Gameplay: The single player is semi repetitive. The levels are good enough. The enemy AI is very good. The story is 'there'. Overall, pretty good, but the "TEAM" aspect of the game isn't really there. The game can get too !&%$@#* ing hard if you are just playing by yourself on the harder settings. 4-player CO-OP split screen on ONE xbox is hard to see the bad guys.
Graphics: VERY well optimized; awesome, LOTS of work put into making this game the best it could be. It never skipps at all.
Sound: The music is alright, nothing that detracts from the game, but doesn't really add too much, it's just there. The sound effects are good. But more enemy sounds would have added a lot.

Overall: Hmm.... I have been playing games for over 20 years, but that don't mean squat as every game is different. Anyways, 'nuff said, on with the review.
Great game! From the intro to the gameplay to the cutscenes, I found it hard to put the game down. When I finished a level, I just wanted to keep going to see what else was next. I tend to be pretty optimistic when it comes to games, if you don't believe me, look at my average scores. So I try to look for flaws within the game and such, but so far this one is lookin' real clean. Now I will admit that I haven't played multiplayer yet and I do know that games with multiple players on a split screen don't work really well. However, I don't think that this game was meant for people to sit and play on one box, but was designed for Live, which would take care of the split screen thing. Worth a rental at the minimum and I am considering very seriously a purchase. This game should keep me busy until Fable comes out.
Gameplay: The game plays just like Halo. Even after not playing Halo for months and months, I picked up on the controls within minutes and was runnin' and gunnin' with the best of 'em. Lots of fun to play and reminds me of kinda a reminesceint DeusEx in a way (another rockin' game) The teamplay aspect was very nice and adds great elements to the game. From commoradorie to takin' down some mutants, it makes for a great overall gameplay. The special abilities of the characters are also kinda nice as well, especially snipping with Flint :)
I did not play with the multiplayer section yet, so I will not even comment on this portion of the game.
Graphics: Wow. Wow. Wow. Did I say that this game has great graphics? I'm sure I did, but I just want to say it again, wow. The ingame graphics could use just a touch bit more work to put the ol' box to the test. However, the cutscenes and intros are incredible. I have not seen ones done this nicely since Halo except for FMV in the Matrix, which is a totally different kind of cutscene. Nice job here!
Sound: Sound is good, but nothing that I found overly appealing. Nothing that makes me really get into the game, but it sufficies and gets the job done.
Suggestions: Hmm.....tough question. Great job on the game and I look forward to more releases like it.

Overall: This game is pretty fun. It does not have a real good replay value, though. It is just like Halo but you always have a team.
Gameplay: The controls are EXACTLY like Halo. There is nothing different. All you do is just run around shooting stupid aliens and shooting post things. That's pretty much all you do. After a while this game gets boaring.
Graphics: The graphics are very good. This is the game's strength. But the osiris level is boaring because of the graphics. I like the outdoors levels with the grass and stuff but it doesn't have a lot of that.
Sound: The sound is good. Sound is not important to me though. Sound doesn't matter.-----------
Suggestions: Make this game more fun. Put some vehicles in it that would be cool. Make more replay value too. Put it online too. Fucking make it for dial up people too! We could have tournaments and stuff. Make this game better too.

Overall: Well where do I start, this game is one of the top ten best games right now for the Xbox.Make sure you go into this game knowing its a 3rd Person shooter and you will love this game.
Gameplay: Gameplay is as tight as it gets.Good story line to this game. The way to go with this is play the campaign with 2 xboxes linked on 2 different TVs. This where this game shines.
Graphics: Very detailed enviorments.Graphics are beautiful.Very easy on the eyes.A lot of work went into this game thats for sure.
Sound: Sound is one of this games best features. Excellent surround sound. Just crank up the volume and you will see what I mean.
Suggestions: Make sure you get that download content Available soon, Didn't feel like waiting 1 1/2 yrars to play this game when first was anounced. Just hope the download content will be ready soon. Otherwise you guys did a very good job on this game.

Overall: the game is very decent, though it isnt going to be a halo 2. it is probably the funnest game i have ever played, and it didnt get boring at all. It wasnt the longest game either, i beat it in about 6 hours
Gameplay: the gameplay is awsome, it is probably close to the best. the only thing that i dont like about the gameplay is that if your walking up a hill, your guys feet are still flat, but who really cares about that?
Graphics: the graphics arnt the best, maybe for a shooting game they are good, but if you compare those to somthing like a car racing game, the graphics really arnt that good, but u almost cant compare that to a racing game, cause you dont have cars, so for a shooting game, it is probably the best ive seen so far!
Sound: the sound was very decent, all of the guns sound neat when you shoot them and stuff, but i wasnt really paying much attention to how it sounded
Suggestions: umm....add more guns, and maybe make the special last longer, that would be fun.

Overall: The reviews that I have read that are negative all compare the game to other first person shooters, and play them as such. Those that catch on to the strategy and nuances of the game enjoy it immensly. I loved the game. The plot was a little thin, but engaging enough to make me want to try each level a couple times with different approaches.
Gameplay: The gameplay is faster than ghost recon, but uses more strategy than halo or wolfenstein. I loved systematicly and sometimes franticly mowing down all the different enemies. I also liked the way you feel a need to protect your team, work together, and use each characters strengths. Unlocking new characters and teams in deathmatch is great too. Each new player has a new ability. Great! I would like more game types though, and they should be coming over xbox live. Whoever says that hawk sucks, doesn't know how to use her. She has the most kills on my team.
Graphics: The graphics are quite clean and polished. The third person view was hard to get used to at first, but paid off after about an hour. The environments could have been a bit more creative.
Sound: Surround sound is great. Soundtrack is not annoying. The ambient sound effects helped a lot to get you into the game.
Suggestions: Give us more multiplayer options and more system link. Eight is great but sixteen would have been a reason to stop playing halo for a couple of weekends!

Overall: A great game overall. Lacks in a few areas, but redeems itself to nearly perfect status.easily belongs in the top 10 games for any Xbox owner.
Gameplay: Great control scheme (Because it is Halo's control scheme). A good set of FMV's also.Very cool characters as well.
Graphics: First off, The graphics of this game rank up there with Panzer Dragoon and Halo. The bump-mapping is great. And the enviroments are very cool.
Sound: Explosions, gunshots, and grunts and comments from characters are very good. Also the character voice acting is cheesy in a very good way.
Suggestions: None.

Overall: I must say I was unpleasantly disappointed in this game; waiting for such a long time, delay after delay, this really should have been so much better than what it turned out to be. And what this game turned out to be is simply described as a Halo clone...or an attempt to clone Halo at the very least in a third person perspective.

The character designs are some of the saddest things that have been created in a long time. I hated Brutus, the lizard man, could theses be more typical for a space shooter?

I had a bit of fun playing, but not $70 dollars worth of fun. I say this is more of a rental than a must-have, but after so long on top of the fact that this is one of Microsoft's love children it really should have been so much more.
Gameplay: Brute Force plays seemingly like Halo. The controls are almost the exact same, save a very few minor changes. So my only complaint here is that Halo's controls just don't fit so well in the third person - maybe it's just the aiming in third person, I don't know; however, things could have been worse.
Graphics: Pretty, very pretty. Lush environments, beautiful landscapes, ugly alien planets, everything you would expect from alien worlds. Except for some originality.

I really didn't think the character designs were anything new, nor were they even good looking. But even worse, the level design I'd say 95% of the time was horrendous and I don't really think the radar helped any.

Luckily, however, Brute Force has downloadable content, so what that means is better levels and skins for charcters could be on the way.
Sound: The music was average and the sound effects were average. The horrible, generic character voices (brutus) really drag this one down a few notches.
Suggestions: When releasing any future content for download you might as well put out a new game.

New skins, levels, and most importantly some new voices for the characters.

Overall: Brute force is a very good game. Although the story and characters may be good, the controls are not.
Gameplay: The gameplay is the weakest part of this game. Its just to hard to play. Sure the controls are the same as halo basically, but you always see your character blocking your field of view. Also when you back up your character tends to turn completly around so when you shoot it doesnt hit the person in front of you even though your aim says you are. Its complicated but you would understand if you played the game. If you are into system link games this is the way to go, the game keeps your stats so you can compare to your friend and see who is better!
Graphics: Graphics are very good no doubt. I think this is the strongest part of the game great job and big !&%$@#* enviroments.
Sound: Sound is very good as well, I like the beat during the main menu. Also the little comentaries during single and multiplayer.
Suggestions: Fix the controls and allow for more players in death match (16). Oh and where the hell is live? That hurt the game big time.

Overall: Brute Force fails to meet the level of pre-release hype surrounding the game, but just barely. The game suffers more from it?s own potential than any real flaw in the game and when you rank the game based purely on the fun factor; it?s a winner.
Gameplay: This game carries more dynamic levels of gameplay that anything else on the XBOX right now, and it?s all good. Some of the most intriguing aspects are the way in which you can traverse through the battlefields eliminating enemies. Take the lead and shoot up anything unfortunate to cross your path or take a leadership position from the back as the strategic leader sending your forces into battle while you snipe the enemies from afar. Sounds good and it?s just the single player aspect of the game.

Multi-player while not as good as Halo provides some fantastically good times when your able to have 8 characters on the map that are controlled by just two people. It?s a nice touch when you are limited in the number of players but can still play a more complex game.
Graphics: There is some room for improvement in the visuals. It's better than most, definately next generation stuff here.
Sound: I don't pay much attention to sound so if it's not annoying, it's usually fine by me. The guns could sound a little better but all in all it's definately well rounded in the audio aspects as well.

Overall: At firts,I thought since its a 3rd person shooter,I wasen't going to like the controls. But no promblem,so dont worry about it.You can control 4 different caracters that adds a lot of fun ways to kill the enemy. It might not be the next HALO,but thats comming in april.
Gameplay: Like I said the 3rd person controls rock! Changing characters is nice and simple just like swichting ur guns.
Graphics: When u play alone the graphics are excelent, but when your 3 or 4 friends on one tv,it seems to get a little less polished and clear.
Sound: Great sound affects that u can hear clearly like explosions and stuff. When ur general tells u orders, unlike other games, u can actualy hear him without any trouble.
Suggestions: Add vehicles to the deathmacht mode
