Brute Force
Overall: I must say I was unpleasantly disappointed in this game; waiting for such a long time, delay after delay, this really should have been so much better than what it turned out to be. And what this game turned out to be is simply described as a Halo clone...or an attempt to clone Halo at the very least in a third person perspective.
The character designs are some of the saddest things that have been created in a long time. I hated Brutus, the lizard man, could theses be more typical for a space shooter?
I had a bit of fun playing, but not $70 dollars worth of fun. I say this is more of a rental than a must-have, but after so long on top of the fact that this is one of Microsoft's love children it really should have been so much more.
Gameplay: Brute Force plays seemingly like Halo. The controls are almost the exact same, save a very few minor changes. So my only complaint here is that Halo's controls just don't fit so well in the third person - maybe it's just the aiming in third person, I don't know; however, things could have been worse.
Graphics: Pretty, very pretty. Lush environments, beautiful landscapes, ugly alien planets, everything you would expect from alien worlds. Except for some originality.
I really didn't think the character designs were anything new, nor were they even good looking. But even worse, the level design I'd say 95% of the time was horrendous and I don't really think the radar helped any.
Luckily, however, Brute Force has downloadable content, so what that means is better levels and skins for charcters could be on the way.
Audio: The music was average and the sound effects were average. The horrible, generic character voices (brutus) really drag this one down a few notches.
Suggestions: When releasing any future content for download you might as well put out a new game.
New skins, levels, and most importantly some new voices for the characters.
