Overall: A great sequel to a bad prequel. What I suggest you do? Rent it first obviously. I mean... I don't want you buying the game and finding out that it wasn't the game for you. Rent it first and then if you really like it, buy the game. This is actually a great game so I just advise you to buy it. :)
Gameplay: The gameplay was very, very good. The controls were simple, but not as simple that it gets boring very, very fast. It was easy to do a flip and what I thought, is now way, way easier to do a grab as in Amped 2 than in Amped 1. In Amped 1, you had to tap the A,B,X, or Y button and that is pretty difficult to do was A,B,X and Y also have other controls as well. I thought the accelerate for A was kind of annoying because when you let go of A, he automatically jumps. Also, when you try to jump when you accelerate, they go way, way to far. Way to far to actually be reachable in real life. The one option I like that most is custom soundtracks. I mean... most game music really, really sucks. Amped 2 actually has custom soundtracks and I really appreciated that about this game. Keep up the great work!
Graphics: Indeed, the graphics have gotten way better than in Amped 1. The snowboarding action is twice as good in Amped 1 and you have more extra details in there as well. When you stop, the snow actually spreads... far. It also doesn't have those ugly loading screens from Amped 1.
Sound: Everything was fluent and was totally great. The snow spread when you stopped was great and the crashed were okay at sometimes. This was also a very, very good improvement from the last Amped.

Overall: Overall I think this is such a great game. It's the kind of game you can just pick up and not even play the game but just ride around pulling tricks off and still have a good time.
Gameplay: The gameplay is very smooth in Amped. The game is very basic yet still has that level where you can tell a good player from an average one. The career is VERY difficult to complete 100% and will take a lot of time but it's nice to have a challenge.
Graphics: Visually this game is so smooth it's amazing. I wish you had more choices for clothing and boards you could use on your character but what you're given is pretty good. The colors are very bright and make for a calming and fun game to play.
Sound: It sounds great. You can hear the wind passing by, can tell the difference from the sound with a soft carve and a hard carve. The sounds of grinding and when you land a jump and even when you go over ice are all very nice. The songs in the game are also pretty good and it all comes together to make for a very fun experience.
Suggestions: Keep these kinds of games coming. Very good games.

Overall: i wasn't incredibly impresed but i still like this game. They added alot more in each department but i felt teh first one was hard but this one is way way harder adn i finished the other one. The snow skating was cool, teh character cosomization is good too.
Gameplay: It is a simulation i still love it and i love teh butter, and new layout for tricks adn grabs. I don't have live but the offline game is definatley long and hard enough. (that sound pretty weird).
Graphics: I think teh visuals were really good. Good character models, enviroments, everyting was good. The coolest was snowboarding on teh hill at night time. The lights and shadows were done very well.
Sound: I wasn't to into teh music. I got custom sounds but the music was all teh same teh same kinda good charroletteish or somethi8ng i don't know but it was annoying. The sound effects were better and more clearer then first. I liked it.

Overall: Overall its a great game, the tricks are crazy and the styles are a new way of looking at things when playing. Theres also a varity for all types of snowboarders out there.
Gameplay: Well the game play is good the way the camera angles are makes it easy to control. Another thing is the caracters react fairly well with what happens to them in the game itself.
Graphics: The graphics are better then the first amped in my opion and they did really well on the senery for the back trails were as other games keep it to a straight path amped 2 gives you the advantage to go basicly anywhere.
Sound: The sound well the sound is amazing because it has tones of song already on the game as well you can add your own so you'll basicly never hear the same song twice in one time playing.
Suggestions: A sugestion would be to make ither the next amped or a download for a 4 player multiplayer game option.

Overall: This is the snow boarding game of all time. no wonder SS3 copied it all the good aspects of it. it has all the good things that made the first great and also has better controls and easier landing. the graphics is also very good. the only grip is that they did not do very well with the camera men; who taunt and take pics of you. it could hav been better in my opinion.
Gameplay: As a i said before, it as easier controls and this time around, it is very forgiving on the controls and landing.
Graphics: Visual masterpiece, what else can i say for this, the mountains, the smoothness of the snow and the trees were also very nicely done
Sound: this is where i have a minor grip, its prequel even sounded better in my opinion. the camera men who taunt you now aren't done as good as it should have. it is still good none the less.

Gameplay: Once you get the controls down, you find out how much fun Amped2 is. Youll have a blast hitting jumps and rails and getting muge scores.
Graphics: I find the graphics wonderful. Detail and backgrounds are amazing. Only a few glitches here and there.

Overall: This game is great. A lot has changed since the first Amped actually. The sound, the music, the graphics are way smoother, you got a snowskate to use in this one, the mountains are humungus!, the background scenery looks closer awesome.
That's it. The only thing bad about the game is the players who waste their time all day trying getting high scores in the Millions off of Chairlift Rails.....pethetic if you ask me.
All you have to do is when your hosting a room, pick the levels that have no chairlifts in them. Then they'll actually have to show they're real skills...which most of them don't have.
Whatever, it's a great game and it's worth the money. Go out and buy it.
NOW!
Gameplay: The gameplay has improved a lot compared to first Amped. It's hard to explain how, but you can tell when your playing. For instance, I found it amazingly hard to jump and land my tricks in the first Amped, but in Amped 2 it's cake. Whatever, it's good.
Graphics: The first one was great, but this one........yeeeah it's great too. Same as the first one pretty much, but the graphics are a lot smoother.
Sound: le sound!! The soundtrack is great aswell. Tons of songs on Amped 2. Better than Amped 1 cause in this one you can choose what music categories you want your xbox to play from the completed Amped 2 soundtrack. Pretty cool if you ask me. Techno is really good in it if you like electronic.
Suggestions: When your in the middle of a run and you don't like how your doing so far, you re-start your run. WHAM!
The game practically trows your dude straight smack down on the face of the mountain at the beginning. What's up with that sometimes? Really. I don't need my controller to shake like crazy almost every single time I re-start my game. FIX THAT GLITCH ALREADY! Patch it up, do something. It's anoying.
Aslo, minimize the chairlift rails. Seriously. It brings the game down online BIGTIME.
It's not that I can't score millions of points. I can. It's just that, if you can't stop them, you might aswell join them at it. And I can't stand doing that. I feel like crap. It's cheap and it's cheezy.
Seriously Xbox. Try figuring out how to fix all the online problems and stop worrying about your money or whatever the hell your doing.

Overall: Pseudo-realistic snowboarding at it's finest. Not arcade style like SSX games but real mountains. This game is not easy but addictive as hell. Career mode is a blast to boost your stats, then show off those skills online. Better yet, join an XSN pack and compete and make friends that love the game too. I can honestly say this is my favorite Xbox game.
Gameplay: You pick a character, and equipment, then play to boost your stats (such as ollie, spin. balance, switch, big air). The challenges get tougher but with your better stats it's a good balance. You complete challenges for media, sponsors, and score as well as trick challenges, gaps, and finding those pesky snowmen. With Xbox Live, the game really gets fun. You can play different game modes online but the heart of it is "just ride" where you go down the hills for various scores that are recorded at XSN.com (despite the sometimes buggy XSN). It's like playing single player but with other people there - like a real mountain. Of course, it,s not completely real based - the tricks stretch reality quite a bit, especially grinding lift wires. You can also butter (like a manual in THPS) to link tricks for higher scoring combos. My only beef is that some of the pro challenges in career mode are ridiculous hard but not enough to stop me from continuing to try, over and over and over - until I nail the run. That's why this one gets a 5.0
Graphics: As with most of the MS studios games, the graphics are amazing. This is one of those titles, like Crimson Skies, that make a good show off title of how the Xbox can simulate reality. The replays look even better than the gameplay since they re-edit your run on the fly to mimic a highlight film. I though Amped was good but Amped2 raised the bar by quite a bit.
Sound: It includes a ton of indie music. If that's your thing, cool, but listening to custom soundtracks is where it's at for me. Like any good Xbox game should - it supports soundtracks. The in-game FX sound like you would expect for snow, ice, and metal grinding. The media people yell at you, which is sometimes annoying but sometimes pretty funny too. If you have 5.1 surround, you can actually use it to help you locate the chattering snowmen.
Suggestions: Keep up the good work! but, here's a few things: 1. Make butters get more difficult over time. Some online players just butter back and forth to get scores in the billions. That kind of throws off the overall score tracking. 2. It would be nice to be able to save replays from online games and allow others to view them or compete against. 3. How about a run through of pro challenges where the camera follows the pro. It's hard to tell what they are doing to get their scores at times. 4. Sometimes, there is a stutter when the soundtrack song changes - it can throw off a good run at times. 5. Get on XSN to iron out their bugs. It is completely frustrating to score big and find that it didn't post to the servers.... That's all - thanks for a good game.

Overall: a good game, and different from it's rivals, like ssx, in the sense that it is more of a simulation type of game, rather than ssx's arcade style of game. not really my type of game, but still a good game offering plenty of variety.
Gameplay: controls may take time to get used to for people who are not used to the unique and realistic style of gameplay. it is smooth enough, but requires precision when it comes to landing, some people might find this more difficult if used to a more arcade style of gameplay, such as ssx. i would have prefered if there was some other difficulty levels to choose from, for those of us who are not used to amped's style of gameplay.
Graphics: amped has very good graphics, and out does ssx because of realism. characters are detailed, and the numerous environments are very smooth, and graphically impressive. overall it has a very nice visual presentation.

Overall: Amped 2 is the ultimate game for virtual snowboarders and real snowboarders. Its full of real mountains such as Mount Hood (Oregon) and Brekenridge (Colorado). Amped 2 satisfies all of your virtual snowboarding needs and then some. Real snowboarders will be addicted to its realness from downside landings to style points. Virtual riders will love its huge jumps and insane combos. While real riders stick to style points and downside landings, virtual riders can do rodeo stalefish to butter all the way down the mountain.
Amped 2 is almost total freedom. There is little places that you cant go. The mountains are huge and it seems every time I play it I find a new run.
Amped 2 is xbox exclusive and supports xbox live. On xbox live you can choose to just ride, or do sessions such as best trick, or best run.
I suggest you go to Wal-mart or even buy this game off the internet sit down get some coffee and have the ride of your lives!
Gameplay: The gameplay in Amped 2 is fantastic. It has great controls (but is different from amped 1) and a fun career mode that can keep me going for hours trying to reach number one in the world.

Gameplay: Gameplay ran smooth at the same time making you feel like you are on the mountain, gameplay is smooth and this has to be the best game for snowboarding ever because of the addition of style points. I remember when you could just push buttons and get a bunch of points but now you have to do it with style.

Overall: Good game, yet with a lot of the glaring flaws I found myself unable to truely get into the game as I should have. Some of the best level and challenge designs I have seen in a snowboarding game...but just couldnt get into it.
Gameplay: Now here is where my problems lay. If your going to be in the same mind-set as the other Tony Hawk Pro Skater clones then you really need to have a similar layout....a similar feel. Maybe its just me, but EVEN AFTER I switched the grind button to "Y" it still didn't feel quite right. Maybe its because of the X and Y- Axis problems in the game. I know its not supposed to be and be more "realistic" but it IS a game. There is no way I would go out and try a Rodeo 720 flip with a tweek throught the entire trick. Thats just suicidal. But I WILL try it in a game. And Im sorry, if my virtual boarder is just a "smidge" off of his landing then why can't that be a gimme? I have to land perfectly every time???? And the other complaint I have about gameplay is the fact that if this IS a realistic game then how can you sit there for an entire run grinding the lift wires just so you can max your score? This makes Live a total fluke. Because you always get this one joker.....
Graphics: Beautiful game. Excelent visuals and I have to say I love the "Camera View". Thats just too cool. Its a clearly defined time for you to know when you need to pull off your sickest tricks. Does have a bit of a ghosting problem on live though. I love following behind a friend the first time down a mountain and having him show me some of the coolest spots. but when he randomly appears and disapears....well now thats just disheartening...
Sound: Oh lord dont get me started.....Wonderful selection of music. Probably one of the most diverse sound tracks available in an X-Games inspired title. That is if you can hear it over the anoying "Far out dude"!, and the "You suck man" types of quips that the locals yell out everytime your board raises 1mm off of the ground. This got soo anoying I put my lovely lovely surround sound on mute for the first time ever on a game. This game DOES allow for your custom sound track but the gain on the sound track is turned so low, plus even if you have 50 songs in your sound track it will only play 2 or 3...if your lucky.
Suggestions: Give a little cushin on your landings and you would have a much larger fan base. Get rid of the horendous litte punk kids talking smack eveytime you do anything and this would be a truely quality game!

Overall: Best Snowboarding game i've ever played. This deffinately tops the original, in every category. I love the Sk8 modes, and the custom soundtrack. Im only giving it a 4.5 because of a few problems I ran into. I had some problems with landing tricks, because sometimes when you are about to land and you are leaned back too much, you press forward and he leans back more. Well I tried pressing backward also, and again, he leaned backward. I didn't like that too much.
Gameplay: Gameplay is top notch on this one. It has a nice mix of realism and fantasy, but lets you explore all notions of snowboarding. Every trick imaginable you can do, and even some trick that could never be done.
Graphics: The visual on this game is very good. The riders look good, the trails look good, even the trees look good. 5.0
Sound: The custom soundtrack option is excellently sweet, allowing me to play my songs while pulling off insane rodeo 900's :) You can't get any better than that. The music that is already on the game is cool, but I just love my songs!

The story mode is good aswell as the online play being awesome. There are so many tricks to perform, a lot more than the first one. The levels are massive and there are a lot of them. a definate top game!
Gameplay: The gameplay is awesome. Amped 2 stars you as a newbie boarder and you have to impress cameramen to gain sponsers and fans. Online play is cool because you can actually show off your skills in front of real people. Brilliant!
Graphics: What is going on....a game that has been made with 5/5 gameplay 5/5 visuals...now its not often you see a game like that now is it. The detail on the boarders and the levels are wicked. The texture mapping it cool and it doesnt even change when you play on xbox live. The graphics stay the same and the gameplay stays the same all round. THAT is not normal and THAT is why it is so good.

Overall: Snowboarding wide open with a big daredevil feel to it. This game is pretty realistic as far as the physics of it are concerned but as one might expect the ability to go "big" gets a little crazy when you are riding away from 100 foot high airs
.
Gameplay: As a former professional snowboarder and video game enthusiast I find this game to be just great and do not find myself getting tired of it. Just as if you were riding the same run on a mountain, you can take a different line each time and get different outcomes each time. It's pretty realistic as far as how the game behaves.
Graphics: Really good. The graphics themselves are top quality I think. The snow look real the parks and their obstacles look real and are fun to explore. The thing I really like is the camera angle allows you to adjust just as if you were riding for real and gives you a moment to react vs zooming in or out really fast and disorienting you visually.
Sound: Great! Add custom soundtracks, unlock free riding levels, and go rip up powder with deep carving turns or get your jib on in the park. Like anything it's more fun when you have your favorite tunes blasting while you ride.

Overall: Amped is a great snowbording game, in fact I even said it was the best. But now Amped is not the best because Amped 2 is! Amped 2 improves almost every feature from the original and adds a lot of gameplay...a lot!
Gameplay: The controls are a lot differnt from the original. AT firstyou hate them, then you love them. The hardest feature to get used to, for me, is te grabs are done with the right joystick. Once you get used to this you realize how wonderfull the controls are!
The gameplay is similar to the originl, but there is a lot more of it. XNS sorts were saying they would give it a 180 degree turn, well they didn't and I'm glad they didn't! The gameplay remainstop notch quality with minor improvements. The new Butter control lets you continue moves. This lets you rack up killer tricks.
The multiplaye is nice, expercialy on Live. It is so muc more fun when many people are playing agaist you. Kudos to the LIve options.
Graphics: The graphics have been drastically updated. It is as smoth as a babies butt, and drop dead jaw dropping. This was a drastic improvement over the original(which was good looking too)

Overall: Amped 2 is a well thought out snowboarding game with the best elements of numberous other games all rolled into one, all this makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Gameplay: The trick system is very good, the only thing im having trouble adjusting to is the way the flips are reversed if you land the opposide way as you took. For example taking off in switch and landing in regular, when you attempt to level the boarder out you'll end up going the wrong way. Thats more down to my skill though than the games fault. Theres lots to keep you busy and a good replayability value in the game, the multiplayer aspect looks very good although I am yet to try this out.
Graphics: Amped is a graphicly good game, theres no slowdown what so ever in the gameplay, which can't be said for the ssx series. The motion is fluid and there's a true feeling that you are plowing through the snow at breakneck speeds. There is no noticable popup, even when you jump off the edge of a cliff you can see for miles with zero slowdown.
Sound: The sound and music suits the game well, the ambient noises of other boarders and rail grinds all sound right, when you fall off you're board there is re-assuring thud as you're rider hits the deck. The custom soundtracks is a nice addition, so you can ride down the slopes to you're favourite tunes.
