Orange Box, The

The single player aspect of the Orange Box constitutes Episode 2 (the gripping continuation of the Half Life 2 single player series) and Portal (a unique puzzle game built on a unparalleled physics engine). For those multiplayer enthusiastics Team Fortress 2 is also included. It should allow for late nights of 8v8 pwnage against all your friends via Xbox Live.
Gameplay: HL2 Episode 2 offers the same essential gameplay as Half Life 2 and Episode One, but with its own unique twists and spins on your opponents and objectives.
Portal presents itself with puzzle-like gameplay and forces users to think outside the box as they work their way through different mazes with the help of their Portal Gun. You truly have to experience this one to believe it..
Team Fortress 2 offers a similar paced gameplay to Team Fortress Cl@!%#*!ic (its 10 year old predecessor) but with stunning visuals and a much simplified learning curve so that anyone who picks up the controller is destined to have a blast.
Graphics: While TF2 and Episode 2 definitely prevail in over Portal in the visual world, all three games still look gorgeous. Use of the Havok engine is notable, and obvious especially in Portal and Episode 2.
The most memorable landscapes are definately found in Episode 2, while the most impressive models are most certainly TF2's.
Audio: The voice work and sound effects in all three games are excellent.
Episode 2 has the most memorable score that definitely grips and indulges the player into the simulated world.
It's wonderful to see one game feature so many unique styles of sound. From the goofy and humorous lines of the Demoman in TF2 to the threatening and spine-chilling Combine grunts in Episode 2, Valve succeeds on every level.
Suggestions: Develop an Orange Box 2!

Those who have yet to dabble into this world of carnage and beauty are in for a treat. Bioshock, is the most original and memorable First Person Shooter I have experienced on the xbox 360. From its glorious visuals and immense arsenal, to the peculiar and unique plot and storyline, Bioshock is a captivating adventure from start to end. This is a game you won't wanna miss. This
Gameplay: The gameplay in Bioshock is really what separates it from the competition. A unique blend of your typical "shoot-em-up arsenal" combined with an exotic array of powers known as "plasminds" gives the player a nearly infinite combination of how he would like to down his enemies.
Should I freeze him and then bash his head in with my wrench? Or should use mindcontrol followed by a shot of napalm and finish him off with a crossbow bolt to the face? - A decision one will most likely encounter in Bioshock.
Graphics: From the first scene to last, Bioshock is pure eye candy. "Rapture" is a stunning location. The artistic value of the setting is unparalleled. The depth and detail is exceptional. Up close, things look great. From a distance, the buildings that make up the underwater city of Rapture look even better. This game is gorgeous from start to end.
Audio: Audio plays a very important role in Bioshock. The eerie 1950's music and chilling intercom voices give help create a mood and atmosphere scary enough to, well, scare.
Tthe voice acting and weapon sounds are as well excellent. Everything from the moans and groans of splicers to the earth-shaking sound of a Big Dadd patrolling an area will surely send chills down ones spine.
Suggestions: Load times can also be tedious
No form of multilayer
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10

Gameplay: Still the same gameplay, rescue, assassinate, or just kill all the bad guys you can. The live ability is also one of the best online games for the xbox.
Graphics: The graphics are almost the same as GR1, but still look great. The tanks the soldiers the buildings are all high-end and are difficult to criticize.
Audio: The sounds are great, all the guns sound real and the voice communication is superb. The music suits well in the briefing and menu screens as well.
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10

The storyline is good but the whole game seems fairly medicore and typical for its kind of shooter.
Gameplay: This FPS seemed to do nothing extra to impress me. You have your standard arsenal and lots of AI to kill but besides that, it did not do much for me.
While I only checked out the XBL deathmatches briefly, I thought they were fairly well done and had alot of potential. If you've got live and like shooters, definatley check this one out.
Graphics: The graphics were lame... evern with destructive enviroments the models were blocky and old (although so is the game so...) and the maps lacked detail by todays standards.
Audio: The music was average and the sound effects were below. I thought many of them sounded cheesy (the knife in paticular) and were not done to there best.
Overall Score: 7.0 / 10

Gameplay: The controls in Amped are great. You have all your grabs, grinds, and flips to pull off as well as all your mountains from the US to Europe to shred up. Only downer is that you cannot get style points (found later on in Amped2) and no XBL capabilities
Graphics: The graphics in Amped are very medicore. You still get good snow effects and sweet mountain designs, but compared to Amped2 this game has nothing.
Audio: The sounds in Amped do get repetitive and annoying ESPECIALLY the voices. The music on the other hand is great and fits snowboarding to its best.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: The way the field runs is almost the same as most football games... except the CONTROLS! GAH! I could not stand the controls in this game. The way they were set up just hurt my brain trying to make plays.
Graphics: The graphics were decent. I could not really complain here. They did there job and thats all I asked for.
Audio: The commentary was still good. The sound effects were to. But since sound doesnt mean a WHOLE lot in a football game, well it didnt really matter at all.
Overall Score: 6.0 / 10

Gameplay: Each map is unique. Thats what I love about it. Some are big, some are small, some are intense, some are not. You get the full meal with this pack.
Graphics: The maps are great. Simple as that. There is so much variety and depth and detail in each that it rules.
The visual effects are still top notch along with Halo 2. Everything from the explosive enviroment to the fog effects are beautiful.
Audio: The sounds are well the same as Halo 2. This is only a map pack, so all this still sounds just like ol' Halo 2.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: I really enjoyed the controls in this game. I think Sega has the best controller setup for all football games. The variety of plays is great as well as the moves you can pull on the field.
The XBL ability also rules!
Graphics: The graphics in this game WERE top at there time, but now sadly do not compare to 2k5 games. Still had few flaws at all.
Audio: The announcer commentary is excellent. They really relate to each play that has just happened. The soundeffects are average.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

This game is the reason I bought my xbox.
Gameplay: In this 3rd person shooter, you follow the storyline to locations all around the world. Your best weapon - the shadows. Equiped with a full inventory of grenades, spy equipment, and guns, your goal is to finish your mission at all costs - oh and dont get caught.
Graphics: The graphics in SC are beautiful. The detail and variety of the locations is amazing. The lighting effects work well to.
Audio: The music plays out well. Louder when you have been detected, and quiet as you sneak unnoticed. The sound effects and voice acting are thumbs up as well.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: Kill, kill, kill. That is the whole idea behind the freedom of San Andreas. You can go anywhere, and do anything to anyone!!! With a huge arsenal and vehicle selection, this game will keep you entertained for months.
Graphics: The graphics in SA on xbox are a stepup from the PS2, although they still are not the best. Buildings and vehicles still remain fairly
Audio: The soundtrack is A+. AND you can use custom soundtracks! The sound effects are also very good. Not many flaws here.
Suggestions: Improve the graphics overall
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: You control your own sqaud and are able to switch between any character in it. You complete objectives and often have to blow stuff up or protect/assasinate guys. COOP and Live are the perfect touches for this game.
Graphics: The graphics in GR are great. The fog and lighting effects are very cool as well as all the gun models and characters. No real downers here.
Audio: The footsteps and gunshots sound sweet. The music, voice commands, and briefings are top notch. This game OWNS!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: In BR2 you play the 3rd person role of this vampire who kills everything. You also get a cool arsenal and lots of ninja-attacking moves. Its sweeet
Graphics: The graphics in this game surpassed my expectations! There was so much detail in everything and it was pleasing. I guess only the models were lacking if anything.
Audio: The sound effects were just ok...
The music was nothing special either...
But hey it does the job at making blood sprays sound cool!
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: Fable is fun. It is fun enough that I'm sure anyone picking up the controller would enjoy themselves. From the massive arsenal to the attack powers to the monsters and storyline, Fable is groundbreaking in the RPG world.
The only real issue with the game is the fact you can beat it in 8 hours.
Graphics: The graphics in Fable are w0wxorz. Great everything. Only real issue is the world is fairly small compared to other RPG's.
Audio: The music is beautiful. Sound effects great. Fables sound brings the game to life in ways only... uhh... it could do?
Suggestions: Make it longer and dont include useless crap like being able to have gay marriges.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: BF is a 3rd person shooter where you basically kill as much useless-thinking-AI as you can while playing as characters from both the original 3 starwars movies, as well as the new 3 movies. The game is full of tons of bugs and issues should have been resolved before the game was released also.
Graphics: The maps in Battlefront do resemble the scenarios found in the Star Wars movies with the exception of a few (hoth and endor...). Still many glitches all throughout the levels and models.
Audio: The sound effects are nothing too special. The music isn't either and that suprised me. Still the games sound does what it needs to do to avoid most complaints.
Suggestions: Fix the balance issues and the gameplay bugs found all too much in this game!
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: Do what you want when you want. That is the main idea between GTA and it does it SUPERBLY AND AT THE SAME TIME holds great storylines with many enemies and allies.
Graphics: The graphics are amazing considering the size of the maps and in the depth found in each city. They do what they need to do and do it well.
Audio: The radio stations you can listen to are HILARIOUS. The soundtracks were well chosen and fit the eras well. Sound effects are great tooooo!!!
Suggestions: some sort of live capability would be nice? (not neccesary i guess haha)
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: Pick up and play is the motto for this game. Each minigame is different so virutally anyone can be good at them. There is no storyline at all but still a great party game.
Graphics: The graphics are decent, by todays standard they are nowhere near the top. They could have done much better with the level designs and models.
Audio: The sound is very unique. I guess it does fit well with the style of game this is, but it is very unique from what you are probably used to for an Xbox game.
Suggestions: Give it some online capabilities next time.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: So realistic you will feel like you are actually there. Aiming your gun has never felt more real! Playing with AI teammates is a beautiful touch.
Graphics: Grenade effects are marvelous. The physics are great. The level designs are awesome. The models get two thumbs up. This game is one of the xbox's most beautiful.
Audio: Communicating to your team is a feature that pushes this game right to the top. All the gun sound effects and music are also near flawless.
Suggestions: Release more of these!!!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: Running around with big guns shooting aliens has never been better. The storyline is one of the greatest and most epic of all time!
Graphics: The graphics... wow even today they are still top notch. Everything from the map designs to the explosion effects are stunning. Still one of the best.
Audio: The charcter voices are beautiful, the gun sounds are great, and the music is the best in my books EVER!
Suggestions: XBL!! (although u have that in halo2, so no, no suggestions :P )
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: The gameplay best relates to the Tony Hawks series. You free roam on your feet and pull off sick tricks trying to increase your overall score. It also involves many timed missions. It also includes wicked multiplayer!
Graphics: The game is cell shaded. And cell shading is what it does well. The models and effects are also very well done.
Audio: The sound effects werent the best but the ingame sound track was above my expectations. Very catchy titles!
Suggestions: add more tricks and missions. also more levels.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: The gameplay in THPS almost identical to THPS2, although everything is faster and more realistic, but still unrealistic enough that you can grind the corner of the building 30 feet off the ground (but whos complaining about that?).
Oh and theres character customization. That rules.
Graphics: The graphics in THPS3 are a nicer cleaner version then 2. While there are not many drastic changes, the game still has its usual skater/troublemaker theme and does it well.
Audio: The music in this game is the best ever in a Tony Hawks game ever (did i mention ever?). The witty comments made by extras are also quite funny, and the sound effects are typical (no complaining neccesary).
Suggestions: Some live features!!!
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: The gameplay in True Crime is very comparable to GTA, but nowhere near as finished. In TC you can enter your fighting mode where you have the ability to throw down your moves onto your opponent at close range, or you can whip out your arsenal and blast away. The storyline is fairly short and has multiple endings which makes it better and worse at the same time.
Graphics: The graphcs in TC are good - great. The map itself is huge and full of detail, although filling up 40 square miles with buildings is fairly difficult so you will see a lot of repeating structures.
Audio: The sounds in TC are nothing above average. Your charcater makes many funny remarks throughout the game but those can get old quickly.
Suggestions: Fix up the little things... mabye shrink the map - increase missions.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: NFSU = Arcade racer. It is a game that anyone can pick up and play, while it still maintains difficult tracks and opponents.
Graphics: The graphics in NFSU are very nice. The car models and customization is like nothing before. The weather and lighting effects are also definatley awesome qualities.
Audio: The music.. eh...
The sound effects top notch though. I was very pleased with the car sounds and I feel EA did a sweet job!
Suggestions: Include some LIVE capabilities!
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10

Gameplay: Playing SCCT is so real it makes you feel like your actually inside the game. It is difficult to find one flaw worth mentioning in this game because it does so many good things it just rules! The storyline itself is very indepth and of course if it wasn't good enough there, the online COOP and versus make this game one of the best ever.
Graphics: The graphcs in SCCT... wow. I don't think there is a nicer looking Xbox game. Everything from the lighting and shadows to the models and background are stunning!
Audio: One nice new addition to this game was the sound level bar. This bar tells you how loud YOU are versus your enviroment. The sound in SCCT is again practically flawless and amazing.
Suggestions: Yes, make a fourth SCCT that blows this one away (wait, I don't think that is physically possible!)!!!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: The gameplay in Doom3 is so intense and frightful I recommend it to all! In the beginning you are armed only with a pistol, but soon you will discover the full arsenal which include plasma guns and a vulcan cannon. If you have XBL you can also take it to PVP or COOP although the framerates on live do seem to drop quite a bit. Another big issue with the game is a lack of variety in levels and enemies. While there is no doubt that they rule, I woulda liked to see some more variations in what you face and what you fight with.
Graphics: The graphics in Doom3 definatley push the Xbox's limits. Lighting are gore effects are definatley topnotch
Audio: The music in Doom3 is not the greatest, but the sound effects are sure to scare you good. The sound was good, but nothing superb.
Suggestions: Fix XBL framerates, include some more variety and features!!
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: One of my favorite aspects of KOTOR II is the combat engine. I love it being fast paced and almost nonstopping. The storyline is long and you have many ways you can go with the path way which adds multiple endings and missions depending on your descisions!!
Graphics: The graphics in KOTOR are beautiful. With large vast open plains and massive citys booming with operations, the world of this game is awesome. Character models are great and so are the weapons. Only downer is a few low framerate sections when involved in massive firefights (very rare though).
Audio: The dialog in KOTOR II is so indepth that is just stunning. Sound effects and music are also wonderful and are flawless to me.
Suggestions: Online capabilities.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: Playing this game was the best (haha no seriously). The moves you could pull off and the opponents you faced left you in awe. And of course you have your standard issue large arsenal of upgradable weapons you can use to decapitate and destory your opponents.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are jaw droppingly stunningly amazingly sweet. The moves you can pull off are like none youve ever seen before. The cut-scenes are the best ever ive seen in a game. The levels are indepth and completely detailed. Overall one of the best games ive ever witnessed.
Audio: The sound effects and music are great. No flaws at all in the effects and the music adds greatly to the gameplay.
Suggestions: Yea make a NG2!!!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: The game sucked. It sucked so much I hadn't heard of it until I read the last review on it. How terrible could it have been that i didn't know it existed until I had to.
Graphics: The graphics? Jee im glad i didnt have to look. they musta hurt just to be in the same room with. Only person i would recommend this to is a blind guy.
Audio: Likes nails on a chalkboard folks. Nails on a chalkboard. The voices sucked, sounded like they were done on my mic next to my comp with the standard PC voice recorder.
Suggestions: Yea dont produce crap. also dont let people write high reviews for low games.
Overall Score: 3.0 / 10

Gameplay: The game play rocks. Its your standard FLAWLESS first person shooter. Dual wielding and vehicle hijacking are some very fine additions to.
Graphics: The graphics blow any Xbox FPS game away and probably for good. Compared to Halo 1 this game is stunning visually. The biggest issue in the game visually is Popin, although that has no affect on gameplay. While it may not be exactly what Bungie wanted to deliver, it still tops the Xbox with ease today!
Audio: Music and sound effects are wonderful. There isn't to much to say here except that I have found no flaws in the sound to date.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: Gameplay is standard issue for this game. You can not really improve how you play it although you can mix it up a bit. This game offers fun game modes and the chance to play head to head against your friends around the globe.
Graphics: The graphics haven't really improved at all from DDR Ultramix 1, although the game does have a new menu interface that is nice on the eyes.
Audio: This game was designed for music. And that is what it delivers. With a huge library of songs you can dance to anything from hiphop to slow dance!
Suggestions: Improve the graphics. That's about all.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

Gameplay: the game play is standard, you press the gas to go and the brake to slow. its awesome. really it is. it has the hugest crashes ever with even a crash mode where you try to cause the most mayhem possible. the boost meter also rules. you go fast. awesome.
Graphics: graphics PWN!!!! great level detail and the best car crash graphics ive ever seen in a game. insane sense of speed.
Audio: the sound is pretty typical, no problems there, good soundtrack to. you can also custom which is always +. the radio DJ guy is really annoying though. he always repeats things and has corny lines. you can always turn him off though :P
Suggestions: ADD A SAVE REPLAY OPTION!!! You can pull off the sickest crashes and the only problem is you cannot save them!!!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10

Gameplay: The game rules. simple as that. you start off on easy mode, play all the songs then do it agian until you master them. then you go to normal mode. its just great. and it comes with tons of not-so-simple areas like the challenge mode. anyways its a fun awesome game.
Graphics: graphics suck. 2 different dancing characters who look like they were made for PS1. its good that the graphics arent what the game is about otherwise it wud suck.
Audio: awesome new music. i havent heard one of the songs on the game before in my life but now i love some of them.
Suggestions: fix the graphics.... seriously
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10

Gameplay: Once you get the controls down, you find out how much fun Amped2 is. Youll have a blast hitting jumps and rails and getting muge scores.
Graphics: I find the graphics wonderful. Detail and backgrounds are amazing. Only a few glitches here and there.
Audio: Sound effects are great. Music selection is overwhelming if you ask me. Hard to listen to every song and remember them.
Suggestions: Nice work. Keep it up for Amped 3 :P
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10

Gameplay: Gameplay is very entertaining. The turnbased fighting is well done and is very well done. This story line provides hours upon hours of playing time which seems to never end.
Graphics: The graphics are great. I find it hard to find any flaws in them. Very solid well done. Fights are extremely fun. Overall great graphix
Audio: Tons of vocals in the game. Great charcter interaction and voice. Playing sounds are good. No problems with them at all.
Suggestions: Release that Downloadable content!!!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
