Overall: Overall I think this was a very good game with a lot in it which could really make some people enjoy it. The story stuck to the movie for the most part but there was some added to kind of show Spidey's everyday life and the stuff inbetween the big scenes in the movie. The web swinging was great and the creators didn't let you hang anywhere like many Spiderman games have in the past. They forced you to use your surroundings like if he was really in a city.
Gameplay: The gameplay is very well done I think. The tutorial will help anyone who hasn't played it before to learn the basics and jump right in. The controls are very easy and nothing was overcomplicated to pull off.
Graphics: Visually I think this game was done pretty well. It looked pretty decengt for a 3D game but I think they tried to keep it a little too cartoony. But, still it worked with the game and would be pleasing to most gamers who are fans of Spidey.
Sound: The sound was done pretty well in this game I think. The web sounds and voice acting was all done very well. Each voice over worked with the scenario but like many games I didn't like how when you were fighting someone and beating them up they just kept talking like nothing was going on.
Suggestions: Game was very enjoayble> Keep making comic based movie video games like this one.

Overall: Overall, great! I was hesitant to buy this game. I thought that the first SpiderMan was an all right game. Nothing exceptional, and not worth the price. I got this game against my better judgement. Sure enough I put it in and right away I was pissed off with it. I couldn't swing very well. THEN I learned HOW! OMG! Just swinging through the city is AMAZING! The whole city is there WITHOUT A LOAD SCREEN! You gotta buy the game just to go for a swing!
Then I was upset again.
The game gets painfully repetitive.
Then I started to unlock Spidey's cool moves, now I can just fight forever. I've finished the game, but I still play as much now as I did when I was trying to finish it!
Gameplay: Well you start out as kinda a weak SpiderMan. Then through doing assorted missions you get points. Using these points you can upgrade yourself. A lot of the game is free time. You can do what you want. I like that, from time to time the plot comes in, but for the most part you do what you want.
The put in a couple of extra villians. This was nice, I would like to have seen a little more of Rhino. He is a really cool bad guy, but fighting him in this game was just pathetically easy. Actually this game really is quite easy. I think that they wanted to make it so that the kiddies could clear it too. That's ok with me. I take my pride in making the game LOOK pretty. And in this game you can make it look gorgeous!
Graphics: Though the graphics are far from ground breaking, they did put an entire city (including stores that you can go inside, traffic, and pedestrians) on the screen at one time. This is everything. You can go ANYWHERE. You could swing all day and not get all around the city. It's IMMENSE!
Sound: There isn't really much music in the game. Sometimes it's just the sound of your webbing. The voice over was awesome though. They got almost all of the real actors to play their parts. Spidey's sarcasm was done well.
Suggestions: Not really. You have made a good game 1,000 times better. You could teach me a thing or two!
I guess if I wanted to knick pick though; you could use more missions. I had them all memorized in a couple of hours. It's the crime that's MOST appealing. I did like the other options though.
You did a GREAT job. Thank you for this game.

Overall: I like Spiderman so I had a great time playing as him. Since I only borrowed this game for a short time I didnt get to beat it but in all honesty I dont really think I care. The game although fun, seem to be to easy in parts and too linear. But if you like Spiderman Like I do you'll like this game.
Gameplay: Gameplay is okay I like the web zipping. The web slinging however could've been done alot better. But I'm sure it'll get fixed in Spiderman 2.
Graphics: Pretty good graphics. It really felt like playing a comic book. I liked how they did his wrestlers costume.
Sound: I for one really like the sound. All of the voice acting is done well. The music is cool as well and really reminds you of the movie.

After I completed the tutorial i was wide mouthed! i started playin and it got a little bit addicting! Its one of the best 3d action games of all time right after the prince [P.O.P. Overall: I enjoyed this game. The story is slightly different than the movie's, and it diverts in some areas to allow for more levels and villains. Like most games though once you beat it there isn't much to do. Recommended as a rental.
Gameplay: Plays very similarly to all the other 3d spiderman games. Controls are great and web swinging is a blast. The combat system is well done and it easily allows you to take on multiple enemies at once. Over time combos and special moves are learned. While challenging in some areas, overall the game is fairly easy.
Graphics: A step up from previous spiderman games, but nothing incredible on the Xbox. Not surprising seeing as how it is also on the ps2 and gamecube. Swinging over manhattan looks great though.
Sound: Music and sound effects are what you would expect. Voice acting is great though. Boasting the cast of the movie it is something special. Especially Bruce Campbell as the narrator during the training level.

Graphics: It's solid it's detailed and kinda colorful I still think it was an OK game I'm not interested in dat superhero stuff. it's over all good lookin'.

Overall: what can i say?first of all i played spiderman on the psone a few years ago and it was good, but now i got to play spiderman the movie for the xbox,i also played the ps2 version and i know the xbox version looks better at some points.after is a good game, but the level or missions are too short.
Gameplay: gameplay is even better on this version(i am talking about the psone version that
was released a couple of years ago)aerial combat, more stylish combos and some extras, but like i said the missions are too short.
Graphics: looks good,very acceptable graphics,it can look better,but i don,t have any
complaints on this game, activision doesn,t make great graphics, but at least
this are good enough to enjoy the game.
Sound: sound is perfect,it,s always been that way and it will continue since is dd 5.1 sound on xbox, only the power of the x can make a difference.

Overall: Overall this is a great game and well worth the money, the voice acting was done by some stars from the movie which adds somthing to the game. The game was alot of fun lots of things to do, graphics are ok, all in all this is a great game.
Gameplay: The gameplay is great, you can fight hand to hand, in the air, from a distance, which ever you perfer, it is really good, you get to fly around the city to get to places and you can do alot of stuff. There is also a cheat in the game were you can play as the Green Goblin and do everything he can which is really cool.
Graphics: Visualy it was good, the cutsense were good the charaters looked good and they really did a good job on it.

Overall: Spiderman the game follows the movie pretty closely, and as with the movie it does not disappoint. The game uses voice talent from the movie which really helps sell the story, and helps make up for some of it's weak points.
Gameplay: The level designs are diverse with lots of different tactics (fighting, stealth, flying above the city) which keeps things fresh. The game has a great sense of humor (love the training scenes with Bruce Campbell!). On the bad side, I found the fighting system to be lacking and essentially a button masher. The hits sound weak. I wish it the fighting engine and sounds were more like Indiana Jones.
Graphics: Captures the look of the movie very well. The FMV are good, and the settings are diverse. Character design is also solid.
Sound: Professional voice acting puts this a 5 out of 5 in this category. Overall, solid sounds, good music, and except for the weak fighting sounds, everything else is very good.

Overall: Spider-Man the game is very loosly based on the hit movie. You play as Spider-Man, you fight through tons of action packed missions using you cool powers.
Gameplay: The game is a standard beat em up. You jump, kick, punch, and use your web to defeat enemies and bosses. The battles are fun and bosses each offer something different. The game is loosly based on the movie so a few things will be from the movie. In outdoor levels you can swing around a limited part of the city. You cannot touch the ground (which disapointed me)though. The game plays well with some platforming elements here and there. The are also some bonus games and unlockables which all that I will tell you is that you can play the game as other characters besides Spider-Man!
Graphics: The visual effects are very good. The cities are open and the effects like rain look good. The levels are detailed. The enemies all look similar, but other than that, everything looks good.
Sound: The character voices are straight from the cast of the movie, which provides for a more cinematic experience. The grunts from killing enemies gets annoying since they all say about the same thing when they die.
Suggestions: The ability to freely explore the city. That includes go in buildings at will, and walk on the ground.

Overall: The game is sweet. It is like playing the movie, controling Peter Paker, totally awsome! The game will get boring after too long though.
Gameplay: The controls are easy to learn because it takes you through a tutorial in the begining. It teaches you these controls: A:Jump B:Kick X:punch Y:websling (do web tricks to kill enemys)Those are basic controls. But the game uses all buttons for all different uses. You walk like spiderman, hunched over, hands ready to grap a wall. The controls are very easy and cool. Which is why i give it a 5 in controls.
Graphics: The game has good graphics, I mean good!! Spiderman is very realistic looking. Sometimes, if I get in a close up view of spiderman, you can see the reflection off the weblines on his costume. You can also see the little red blocks on his suit, which is really cool. Overall, it has good player models. The biuldings however, werent all that great. You wont really pay attention to that in the game though.I give it a 4.5 visually because, I would give it a 5 if the buildings were more detailed and if they would be more fit to scale.
Sound: The sound is what an average game should be, normal. It has the punch, kick sounds, bad guys groaning etc, but it was kinda lame. It could have better music. The music was kind of like the original spiderman game for nintendo. I give it a 3.

Gameplay: It is quite fast and entertaining the missions are original the bad guys are cool and the environments are kind of big.
Another cool thing is the training area and the mini-games.
Graphics: The game looks great, even though I don?t know what does Spiderman uses to keep swinging even if there are no buildings, the characters look fine and the environment lets them blend so well that you don?t really notice some flaws.

Overall: This game is one of the best superhero outings as far as consoles go. Unfortunately, thats not saying much.
As a huge Spiderman fan, I found alot of satisfaction based soley on the fact that I was actually controlling the web-slinger. They managed to include all the aspects that make Spidey who he is too. Tying up foes with your webbing, swinging through the NYC skyline, spider sense, even Spidermans clever wise-cracks and insights.
One of the best aspects of the game is actually the voice acting, which includes the likes of Bruce Cambell, Toby Maguire, and Willem Dafoe. Its not just a light dosage either, virutally all the big battles have alot of dialogue being thrown around, especially between GreenGoblin and Spiderman.
Though it has some nice unlockable features, the game is realtively short. Given some of the tediousness of several levels, there's really not alot to go back to. This one may be best as a rental.
Gameplay: The gameplay was close to being good, but something still seemed to be keeping it down and left me at times feeling not so into it.
Even though throughout the game you will be discovering various three-button combos, ground combat is mostly reduced to simple button-mashing. Its kept at bay from being tedious only by the fact you can interject some webbing tricks when the need arises.
The camera angles can often become a hassle too. Say you're traveling in one direction and try to rotate the camera, unless you come to a dead stop, Spidey will continue running in the original direction you had pressed. It would be a minor annoyance execept for the parts where you are trying to sneak around or in a panic to find some health before you get killed.
I did find alot of enjoyment out of the battles that took place in the sky though.
Graphics: Graphics are pretty good. Nothing spectacular but still definitely good quality. Some of the textures on buildings tend to get a little repetative but the majority of character models are done very nice. Sometimes while in an indoors location, everything starts to look the same but its not too bad.
The cutscenes between missions were actually very high quality, adding to their overall appeal.
Sound: The voice acting is one of the things that really make this game shine. All of Spideys little quips or insights during gameplay are voiced by Toby Maguire, and there's alot of them! Spiderman will have something to say to just about every new situation he's presented with. Willem Dafoe once again pulled off a stellar performance as the voice of Green Goblin and he also has alot of spoken dialogue.
The other sound effects were really only mediocre though.
Music was nice, it fits the backround very good and made me think I was actually playing the movie.
Suggestions: Focus more on what makes Spiderman great, his aerial acrobatics.
Stick to a few more complicated combos instead of a large list of three-button ones. Also, Spiderman has super strength! If he hits a normal guy several times, the guy should go flying, not get back up three more times and come back for more.

Overall: I really really liked this game. I was really excited when i bought it. I didn't rent it or anything to test it out and see if i liked it. I just trusted that it would be good, and i wasen't disapointed. The creaters have done everything a gamer wanted, awesome graphics, easy controls, great sound and an awesome story line. I love the fact that they added little extra secret things into the game, to making the gaming more fun than it already is. Especially when you beat the game on "super hero" mode, thats awesome ( im not going to spoil it for anyone who hasen't made it that far yet) When i unlocked this secret way of playing, it just added to the fun, playing the game on a different level with a different story line. It was like 2 games in one. Anyways, Great Job, i recomend it to everyone who likes a good x-box game.
Gameplay: Everything about this game is great, Except maybe that the controls are alittle difficult at first. But once you get the hang of it, its like second nature to you. But really, overall the gameplay is awesome.
Graphics: Nothing to say here but AMAZING! The graphics are amazingly made and keep you staring at the TV for a long time, trying to figure out what is real and what isen't. The clips between levels are so graphic, your not sure if your watching the movie or playing the game.
Sound: The sound was ok, could have been better. Not much to say there. I always like when they actors do their voices in the game, that adds alot to the game.
Suggestions: well i dont really have any suggestions. But if its possible, and you are making a sequal, try to make it better (if that is possible) it was a amazing game for me and i enjoyed every last minute. So not much to say here either.

Overall: Well, this is the second game I bought for the XBox. And quite frankly, I do not regret it. This game has everything I ever wanted in a Spider-man game. I hope you people at least rent this game, and if you are a hard-core Spidey fan, then buy it. I can't believe how great this game is visually.
Gameplay: The gameplay is fantastic. It allows the player to choose the classic controls, or the enhanced controls. Which is great for a person like me who played the PSX versions of Spider-man. Makes the learning curve, next to ziltch. I only have one gripe however. The camera was kind of tought to get used to, but once you get the hang of it. You can do almost anything!
Graphics: The visuals in this game rock. I don't care if it "seems like a port." This still looks better then the PS2 version. So people who rag on it because of that, take a chill pill. The buildings when you get to swing around the city are amazing. Even the inside levels are fantastically textured and given a sence of realism.
Sound: The sounds are funny too. Every so often you hear Peter say a smart-ass remark. Fantastic sounds with a good sound system. You can hear almost everything around you. Lots of effort put into the sound effects of this game.

Overall: Comic heros never port right to video games. The average comic hero would walk through 90% of a video game and that wouldn't be fun. So, they add in an unbelievable amount of thugs and/or make the hero weaker. While Spiderman did a decent job on keeping Spidey, Spidey; the game play itself was not immersive. If you'd replaced Spiderman w/ an unknown hero, this game would have received much lower ratings than it has so far.
Gameplay: Spirderman's moves and abilities are great. They didn't hose Spidey at all; however, the missions are uncreative and if you've played an action arcade game before, you'll feel the De'ja vu that you've done this before but w/ a different custom. Go through the building, beat up wandering thugs that have nothing to do but wait to shoot at you. Then track down a real villian and have a boss fight. Maybe defuse a bomb, you know the drill.
Graphics: Graphics would get a 4.5 from me; however, the camera angle is ANNOYING. At times you can't see where you are going, or the camera is pointing the wrong direction. Add this to wall crawling and I was turned off.
Sound: Sound is clean, but unremarkable here too. Usual pistol shots, web shooter sfx, etc. The environment doesn't effect the report of a firearm-- no echo, or twang.

Overall: Fun Game. This has a lot of stuff to come back more for. Some of the part of the game was accurate to the movie, and some weren't even close. They had the voice from the movie for the green goblin and spider man himself. The game is kind of short, if you play this non stop for a few hours or less this game is completed. Their are a lot of extras to this game to keep you coming back for some spidey action!
Gameplay: The controls were o.k. It was 0nly good when you are outside. When you are in buildings it is annoying. And you can see your self and it gets fustrating. The real fun to this game is outside, not out.

Overall: This game is great. I was skeptical about it due to the arguments over the camera angles, but it's really not a problem. The characters have been recreated to comic book detail and look great. It follows the movie pretty well with great cut scenes and added levels for the XBOX.
Gameplay: Like I said before the only drawback of the game is the camera angle, but you get used to it and learn how to control it. The fighting moves are easy to perform and there are plenty of them. There is also a few different tricks to be performed with the webbing. The best part of the game is when webswinging through the city and getting into aerial combat.
Graphics: Visually the game is very impressive. The surroundings are pretty good and the character detail and animation is great.
Sound: The movie has good sound with crisp and clear dialogue and monologue. The fighitng sound effects are very good and again the dialogue during play keeps you into the game.

Overall: An excellent game worthy of living up to the title "the movie game" , because it is as good as , if not better , than the movie.
Gameplay: Lets face it , this is as close as you can get to wearing the spidey suit.Web swinging to the highest point in the sky and then free-falling back to sky-scraper level literally takes your breath away. Also , fighting some of spideys most lethal villains through the streets of new york is an experience you will never forget.
Graphics: Visually , this is as best as they come . You never doubt that you really are controlling peter praker . It is'nt until your mom call you to clean your room that you realise that this game IS'NT real.
Sound: With the two main stars of the movie TOBEY MAGUIRE and WILLEM DEFOE lending their voice talent , it just further enhances the realism . And BRUCE CAMPBELLS training tour is an absolute must , almost as good as playing the actual game !!
Suggestions: Try and get ALL the actors from the movie (EG , Kirsten Dunst ,J.K Simmons) just for that added realism.

Overall: There's an unwritten law somewhere that games based on movies always seem to fail miserably at being games. So when this version of Spiderman, a game based on a movie based on a comic, came out, I had some misgivings about how good it might be. Based on the movie will a lot of additional villains and filler story to give the game extra depth, Spiderman: The Movie builds on the success of the previous Playstation titles.
Gameplay: Spiderman: The Movie is broken up into two major portions of the game. Part of your time will be spent swinging around town, fighting aerial enemies like the Vulture or Green Goblin. When not in the air, you'll crawl your way through warehouses, sewers and the like, beating up thugs and finding your path to the next area by way of keys or switches. Fighting consists of either using your punch or kick button in combos and you can unlock more combos by finding gold spider icons. Also, you can use your webbing as both an attack and defensive tool.
Graphics: For the most part, Spiderman: The Movie looks really good. The outdoor cityscapes are huge and look great. Reflective effects on the windows and effective lighting give the city a real-life effect. Also, you won't see a fog obscuring the city off in the distance, hiding pop-up. Once inside the buildings and sewers, you'll work your way through large areas that showcase some nice textures and a great array of lighting effects. Unfortunately, a lot of the furniture and debris seems rather blocky and could use a higher polygon count to make them feel more realistic. The CG cutscenes look good. While not as life-like as Final Fantasy (mostly due to the less than real body movements), they do add to the look of the game.
Sound: Both the voiceacting in the cutscenes (performed by Toby Maguire and Willem Dafoe) and sound effects are done exceptionally well. Bruce Campbell provides commentary in the training modes, which is well worth the time alone for the laughs. Some the lines in the game are cheesy and the thugs tend to same the same two or three lines over and over again. The music has the grand cinematic feel that successfully ties to the game to the movie.

Overall: There is an escaped mental patient from the insane asylum on this web site. It's true, it's !&%$@#* true!! This idiot rates Spider-man higher than Halo, which happens to be the game of the year. LTM360 YOU ARE A FOOL!!! LTM must stand for lost. total. mental. Spider-man is good but nowhere near Halo son!! Graphics are outstanding, it's fun to be Spidey swinging from building to building. It's cool but it's not Halo.
Gameplay: Anyone would enjoy the abilities that Spidey is given. The levels are not hard to master but kind of gets boring. As I said before the best part of the game is web swinging. Playing as different characters is okay but the game is so linear that it really doesn't matter who I play as. Gameplay should include the option of playing in the air or on the ground. This would add to the adventure of the game. The camera system is too frustrating.
Graphics: Visually this game is amazing!! Spidey looks best on the 'Box for sheezy!! The detail given to Spidey and the surrounding areas are remarkable. This is the best part of the game. Change the camera system.
Sound: The sounds of Spidey are pretty good. I like to hear the little sarcasm that we've grown to expect from Spidey. I also like to hear the sounds of the people in the street saying things to Spidey. All of the villians sound good also. Especially the Green Goblin. Very convincing.
Suggestions: Change the camera system. Let Spidey live a little and enjoy all the freedoms of someone blessed with his ability should enjoy. I holla!!!!

Overall: Have you ever see the first movie of Spider-Man ? It's was absolutly amazing and they got more money than Star Wars Episode 2 : Attack Of The Clones. First of all, you must know, if you didn't see the movie, that Spider-Man the movie game don't have the same story as the real movie because it's will be too short for a game, so they add vilains and short scene to make it longer. What i really love in this Spider-Man game is you are able to start from the begining of our hero until the last battle with green goblin. Of course Spider-Man don't have a multiplayer and it's a real shame for that. In conclusion, without multiplayer Spider-Man is also able to take the good way to be a great game.
Gameplay: Spider-Man is able to throw his web, jump and stick on the wall or the ceiling, learn move because you can find some through each levels and be invisible. But something make me really sick in that game and it's the camera angle, how can i fight if i am not able to see my opponent ? They also add some challenge but they are really too tough ! The real mistake here is that Spider-Man is able to throw is web through the clouds, really unreal !
Graphics: Why everybody is doing multi-console game to gain more money ? X-box is the most powerful console ever done and you show some texture or graphic if you prefer to us that can be seen on Gamecube. But you are too late because i am sure that most gamer will let this game on their bookstore. We want amazing graphic like Halo, Rsc and Morrowind, did you understand ? So wake up man !
Sound: Did you know that the producers of this game take the real voices from Tobey Mcguire and the other actor to make it better ? Also when you play, spidey is saying some funny thing. In fact it's really a nice work here ! Music, sorry i am not paying much attention here, probably because it's was just ok !
Suggestions: Here my advices : Don't make it multi-console, have better camera angle, multiplayer should be welcome and that all !
