Overall: Its exactly like the PS2 version, but it has multiplayer. This game is addictive, and very offencive to parents. its gory, and has a bunch of codes (good for me :) )
Gameplay: Its mission based, if you like GTA3 then you'll be a fan of this. its easy to beat. But it has many gametypes to keep you buizy. From Kaos mode where you kill all to Last Clone standing, where you kill the clones in a certain amount of time. But its all te same as PS2.
Graphics: The grafix are slightly upgraded from the PS2 version, The sound of people screaming does get annoying.
Sound: As i said before, the screams are very annoying, but other than that its prittey much ok. The weapons sound like weapons. But if you played the PS2 version you'll notice its the same...
Suggestions: O.K. so you added Multi, rite? So, why no Live!? Cause it could have made this game sooo much better.. And why no new weapons... this is just a port with multi...

Overall: Its a riot sim... sorta but if you are waiting for new games to come out and your board of your old ones then pick up this title
Gameplay: The controls are easy and non of the missions are hard and there is no difficulty modes, One thing the games got going for it is the multi-player its pretty fun but with 4 players it gets to otta hand. and the arcade is ok to
Graphics: the graphics are ok there like watching a cartoon the explosions are ok and the fires ok to
Sound: The sound is great if you turn the music off after you do that you can hear the sound
fine
Suggestions: This was a pretty good game but alot of people got tried of it the first time they played it

Overall: I really did not want this game but ti was multiplayer and my girlfriend seemed interested. So far we both love it. Its not exactly brain power intensive but blasting thru the crowd with a shotgun has its attraction in a morbid way.
Gameplay: Respectable as long as you dont expect too much. This is not Morrow wind or Ghost Recon but its still fun.
Graphics: Probably the games weakest point but still not the worst I have ever seen. The explosions are the high point.Seeing several hundred figures on the screen at once is impressive and decaptions fulfill my love of goriness.
Sound: The best part of the game. Yelling and screaming, the rat-a-tat-ta of machine gunfire and once again the explosions!

Overall: Its a fun game that has you killing and destroying with multiple weapons throughout crowded areas.
Gameplay: The gameplay is extremely repetative . All you do is run around beating up cops and shooting down civilians. You can also do mini missions in the levels but they arent well balanced
Graphics: I didnt see any improvements from the ps2 version. Xbox is cappable of much more and it was a dissapointment.
Sound: sound was good. The screams of the citizens and the gunshots gave me the feel of the game. Sound was probably the best thing in the game
Suggestions: Take advantage of xboxs power. Also change up some of the gamplay so i can play it for more than a half an hour at a time

Overall: this game is pretty cool for all the different things you can do on it. the game does get boring after a while tho.
Gameplay: it is great the controls are easy to do and use.there is many weapons and stuff you can mess around with.
Graphics: the graphics are pretty good for this game.there really isnt anything special about it but it isnt that bad.
Sound: the sound is good.you can really tell where stuff is coming from or all that but it helps a little too.

Date reviewed: November 4, 2003.

Overall: A button masher if you ever wanted one! This game hypes itself up to be something new and very different. Unfortuanlty that was not the case!
Gameplay: Face the guys you want to hit, press buttons repeatedly untill they are all on the ground. Nothing much to same, or recommend this game. The missions all play the same and are very tedious. The action felt very similar to Dynasty Warriors to me, but with out the fun.
Graphics: The visuals look very cartoony, but not in a good way. The designers have done well to models the enviroments that the game plays in. Pity they didnt put the effort in to texture and detail the same! I have to say, it does help to keep the frame rate up, there is nearly always in excess of 40 charaters running about at any time.
Sound: The sounds in this game were basic and functional. Nothing really to right home about. One thing I did note was that all the guns tended to sound like they were plastic?
Suggestions: Dont bother making a sequal, you dont want your next game to have anything to do with this nasty piece of work.

Overall: This game all around is a pretty good game. Some of the really cool parts of this game are when you can actually run from the cops and live for a while. The weapon selection is also awesome. So if you have some extra spending money i'd get it.
Gameplay: Great game play. From the weapons all the way to the smarts of the cops, it'll keep you running through out the whole entire game.
Graphics: Graphics on the game are pretty cool. They are nothing like Halo or Splinter Cell but for a Rockstar game, they are pretty good.
Sound: Sound on this game is unbelieveable. You can hear all the cops talking and you can hear all the weapons. Such as when you fire the rocket launcher you can here it being launched.

Overall: It?s a game about riots.
you get to choose from using your fists to rocket launchers.
The stages are cool and the game modes are alright.
It?s a game you should play whenever you feel angry.
Gameplay: It?s really just seek and destroy, any variation is that you have to protect people some times and it ain?t easy.
Graphics: The Characters look too bad, they look like GameCube characters.
The environments don?t look that bad but they lack of some details.
Sound: The only reason you would buy this game, other than feeling mad, is the ability to play your own music so if you want to play Break Stuff, you can feel it.
Suggestions: I finished this game in less than a week, and you?re already threatening me with a sequel? What?s the matter with you people!?

Overall: i found this game fun for the PS2 & with the Added Multiplayer for XB its even better. I think RockStar is a great company with some of the best games.
Gameplay: you move very smoothly & shooting is easy too. even on the PS2 version i think u move better than Vice City.
Graphics: even on the PS2 i thought the graphics looked good. with some improvements for the XB version it looks a little better but not much. but like i said the PS2 version looked good.
Sound: with all the people in the bulinding u think there would be more screaming from all the killing.
Suggestions: make a sequel wit 4 player co-op & more maps.

Overall: This is a great 20 dollar game. I find it very fun and very good. The music sucks, but that's why you can upload your own songs. The visuals aren't great, but decent. Overall a great game
Gameplay: The gameplay is very good. The camera isn't the best, but is easy to adjust ( the right thumb stick )
It is also very fun using a shotgun and blowing peoples heads off.
am I a little crazy. maybe
Graphics: the graphics aren't great, but they do capture a cartoon perspective, and makes it easier for the develepors to have all kinds of people running around without lag.
Sound: I gave the sound a 5 because only because the custom soundtrack. XBOX GAMES DONT USE THIS ENOUGH! Its awsome to be able to kill all kinds of people in a mall while listening to your favorite cryptopsy song. Canadian Death metal is the !&%$@#* .
Suggestions: more levels

Overall: Great Game! nothing but breakin' stuff, killing people, and explodin' cars and buildings. given the camera is a lil' retarded, that doesn't rule out that this game is must have, plus its only $20!
Gameplay: Great handling, would have been better if the camera wasn't how it is. The fact that you can pick up stuff, benches, trash cans, etc, and use it as a weapon is great because they're one-hit kills. Love the fact that you can beat down a dead person and the flop around while blood bursts out they're body. Great Game.
Graphics: The visuals are smooth and flawless, from what I have seen. There is now lag or slowdown when playing 4 player, even when your killing clones in the smallest of levels.
Sound: Having the ablity to beat down people while listening to your own soundtracks is awsome. When you got some rage to let out, you can kill people while listen to your loudest music at the same time, pretty &quo
Suggestions: Online would have been a nice touch, and some new weapons. Less cheats, you're making it too easy for people to play. Different outfits for the characters.

Overall: I thought this agme was gonna be kiinda like the GTA series. Well its not really but it kinda is! This game is actually very fun! After buying it saying what the heck its only 30 canadian I was glad I did buy it. This game is worth 30 dollars canadian though. It is very fun. With multiplayer but its too repetitive. Read on.
Gameplay: The multiplayer for this game is such an added bonus! It is way better then the ps2 version because of this. XBOX ROCKS! Well anyway, the state has gone mad! IT is a STATE OF EMERGENCY! Everything is syko stuff! Cops everywhere, gangs around each corner and looters, "stealing everything that isn't bolted down" at the mall. Well in oh I forget what its called...I think revolution? but you go around doing missions for a guy. Some missions invlove just stealing a few do !&%$@#* ents, while some are killing the craazy doctors. This game is full of mayhem! So that is revolution. Multiplayer has all sorts of things just like killing eachother and cooperative. Fun stuff. Great game! especially with guns like shotgun that can easily take out 6 people in one shot! As, "HUNDREDS of people fill the screen each acting differently to each move".
Graphics: Visuals are actually pretty good for a 30 dollar game that just came out. The people are well done but the stores and things look kinda....nintendoish. Like kinda childish. But the weapons and people are still well done.
Sound: EVERYONE SCREAMS!!!!!!!!......when you let shotgun ammo out or other guns. You can use your built in weopons, (feet and arms) to get rid of people. It makes punching sounds that kinda a little wierd but its cool. Also the reporters and things are pretty well done as well!
Suggestions: port......I dont like. Multiplayer I like though....pretty good job though considering its only like 15 USD.

Overall: Your whole city has gone wild, looters are jetting all over your local mall, and police squads are spitting out tear gas everywhere you turn. This is the setting of the ever-so-chaotic "State Of Emergency". Written down, the game sounds like it should be phenomenal, but its flaws take away from what could have been a terrific game. But for its low budget price of 19.99, the game is well worth the money, and should keep you happy for quite a while. But if this game had a full 50 dollars behind it, it certianly should not have even been released. But aside from the few flaws, the game is fun, fast, and quite easy to pick up on. It makes for some good multiplayer fun, and at times agrivationg single player goodness.
Gameplay: The game is simple, you get your mission, pick up a weapon and slaughter. As brutal as it sounds, this is all the game is. There is a bit of a storyline behind the game, but its all text, and reading is the last thing you want to do in a game like this. After you retireve your mission, you go around and usually just kill people. Sure it gets boring, but at first it is a load of fun. You can use one of many weapons including a rocket launcher, flame thrower, !&%$@#* tail, ray gun, machine gun and so many more. But aside from that there are really no bragging rights gameplay wise. One of the biggest mistakes is adding "escort missions". Mostly because this game is so chaotic, one of the last things you want to do is watch someone, who runs as slow as a snail.
Aside from the bad things there are some good points gameplay wise. One of the most notably is the xbox-exclusive multiplayer modes. You can play many modes, including last clone standing and deathmatch. All add up to hours of fun with your friends. This game should have been a multiplayer game in the first place, it was just made for it.
Graphics: When reading about SOE, I remember reading that the visuals would be re vamped and look very nice for the xbox. Well though the graphics were revamped, the textures are still as bland as ever, the people all look the same except for your characters. The only notable visual moments are when something explodes or cathes fire, otherwise the graphics fall short of being mediocre.
Sound: The best part of the game has to be the sound. The explosions, gun shots, and screaming all sound authentice and very well done. Aside from that is the ever-so famous custom soundtrack feature. That really adds to the game, and aside from that, the sound is very well done.
Suggestions: Xbox live and more depth

Overall:
When i went to nlocl buster and rent it i knew that the PS2 version didnt do that well, so i said what the hell it has multiplayer so ill just check it out. The game is just fun with decent graphics.
Gameplay:
I like the fun that i had shooting people and blowing up shops and what not. Its just a pure fun game. It might get old because you basicly do the same thing, but if you have friends over and want a beat up game this is one to look at, and 20 dollars just makes it more perfect.
Graphics:
Well it looks a little bit better than its ps2 sister but not by much. With all the people and chaos on the screen the framerate runs pretty good.
Sound:
Hearing people screaming and running is pretty good but it might get annoying, so what you do is put your own soundtrack and kill people while listening to it
Suggestions:
Its a good solid game, add live support to it, with some better graphics and more tactical gameplay and the next version should be good.

Date reviewed: April 7, 2003.

Overall: i bought this game because it was under 20 squid. i'd played it on the ps2 briefly, and thought it was fun, also it was made by rockstar, the makers of gta3, and all that.
Gameplay: you have the option to play the game, in either misson mode, or choas mode, misson is story based, well sort of, you are given a misson, and though they are fun, boy can some be hard. the timed ones are killers, by the time you've gotten to where you think you should be, it's over. it's only by retrying that you release what/who you gotta get/kill. choas mode is simpley smash, kill destory whatever, whoever for points. very good fun, last clone standing is 200 clones running around, and you gotta take em out in the fastest time possible. the sight of mowing down 40 or so with a machine gun is gamiong heaven. the dead stay on the screen, so soon you have bodies every where. all modes are fun, but misson mode really can be hard, yet as you unlock stuff by doing it, rewarding. 2 player last clone standing is multiplayer fun, it's all fun.
Graphics: the sight of maddness you get on screen i've never seen beaten. there's people, things everywhere, it's madddnesss. you can have like 200+ people on the screen at once. the characters look good, the bloods perfect, and lots of it. i have no gripes with the visuals at all, i've heard some say they're to cartoony, but i don't see it, and if they want it made more realistic, i think they need help, of the medical kind.
Sound: playin your own tracks is a god send to any game nowerdays. and the in game sounds do the job. you get gun casing sounds of them fallimng on the floor, to the chatter of the people running around.
Suggestions: you've given us a affordable slice of gamin pleasure. the inclusion of multiplayer is welcome as is the soundtrack feature. keep up the good work, i enjoyed playin it, and to me thats all it's about.

Date reviewed: April 6, 2003.

Overall: Hmm, a buddy of mine (Nemesis808) told me that the game is boring and/or gay in his view. Funny, I actually think the game is very fun aside from the obsessive killing. The fact that the game is designed in a cartoony look and doesn't take anything seriously make the game a blast to look at and play at the same time.

Though I havn't played it on the PS2 (which is probably good, since the graphics would be an eye sore) I must say that for first timers, that the game has a great over all appeal to it.
Gameplay: There are a few control issues with it but that's probably due to the fact that I havn't mastered the controls as of yet.

There are plenty of modes to play and beat, and its just fun trying to destroy everything and collect time icons in trying to continue your rampage before time runs out.

There a weapons a plenty and some of the more powerfull ones are hidden in more remote locations for you to find, but are definatly worth searching for.
Graphics: The graphics, I think are pretty darn cool. The polygon civilians and enemies are of basic design, yet the colors used are vibrant and defiantly are an asset to the eye.

I think if the textures and colors were more of a realistc look it would take away what the game is trying to accomplish: a fun shooter in just blasting away.
Sound: Nothing to special here. Just lots of screems. Weapons sound fairly real though.

A custom soundtrack would've been nice to add to the overall look and design.
Suggestions: Online play would've been an intersting feature. I'm not really sure how it would make the game more playable. Though, downloadable maps, weapons, characters might've been a nice addition.
