Overall: the original burnout... i had to replay this to see how B3 has enhanced the experience... and yes, oh yes it has.
but we owe a massive tribute to the game, without it we would not have BO3. burnout, WE SALUTE YOU!
Gameplay: bo3 is no different... it just expanded on what made the original great. in no other game do you get such immense satisfaction from crashing! its gameplay is a marvel in videogame history.
Graphics: out of date now, but still decent... but i remember gazing at my ps2 (yes i had a ps2 when this came out) in amazement at the sheer detail! although out of date, its unique style still exists.
Sound: acjaaaruskchc.
yes, as you probably guesed that was the sound of a crash in words...
yeah okay, it sounds a hell of a lot better in the game... wonderful fmv sequences and great effects that still hold up today.

Overall: This a fast, mad racer, with some nice visuals and excillerating speed. The sequel is slightly better though...
Gameplay: Basically, burnout is all about driving as quickly and dangerously as possible. Its speed is often excillerating and the range of cars is good too. It features some of the most realistic crashes ever, physics wise that is. In the game you will gain points for driving dangerously, on the wrong side of the road, skidding, and near missing the sides of cars and other vehicles. The game is entirely arcade based however, and the stages can often be hard to complete. However the madness of the game is quite enjoyable. The multiplayer options will also extend the life of the game considerably.
Graphics: The visuals are good, but not great. As another PS2 port, the game bears all the problems of the Playstation console, so the graphics are alot more simple than an Xbox exclusive car game like Project Gotham 1&2. The realistic crash physics for examle are not complemented by realistic crash graphics, the cars seem to crumble in the exact same way no matter how forceful the impact. However the game does a good job at simulating speed, that is combined with a steady frame rate, to give an acceptable appearance over all.
Sound: The sound is not as good as the rest of the game. The different vehicles sound almost exactly the same, and the music does not add to the excillerating speed but only slows it down. This is the games sad downfall.
Suggestions: The games multiplayer is the best part, and scince an improved sequel is alredy out, there really isn't anything more to say...

Overall: This game is a great racer for a few reasons. One is the fact that it has a great sense of speed. For me its not exhilarating unless I feel like im going fast. Another reason is its got free track to it. You're not confined within a circle as a Nascer game would probably have you, But free-ranged out in the city. Besides that crashes are beautiful. 2 THUMBS UPS!
Gameplay: It was a whole lotta of fun to play, but was a piece of pie to beat. Which is why its beautiful looks and crashing amazingness kept this game alive for me an extra month. It could use a variation in maps and modes and that little bit of improvement would most definitely make the game better and more enjoyable in the end.
Graphics: Slow-motion crashing after hitting speeds of 100+. How could the visuals not be good? Especially watching the pile up you've caused after the initial crash. That is what makes this game the visual beauty it is.
Sound: Nothing special really. A few blaring horns and some screech noises. The sound in this game definitely wasn't its up. But it was a help in making this game the racing game that it was.
Suggestions: No suggestions that aren't already in this games sequel...LoL

Overall: I read in reviews that this was an exciting game. Great crashes and overall fun. When I played this game, those were thrown out the window. Bad crashes and one of the most boring race games I have ever played.
Gameplay: Quality gameplay is not an issue in this game. The cars are not fun to drive and the levels are really bad. It feels very boring. I remember careening around corners and jamming down the gas on straitaways and I sat there, bored out of my mind. This game is not going to ever come remotly close to a top 100 favorite games. The crashes should have been sweet but, they reset you on the course after the hit. That was not fun. I wish you would have had to get out of the mess you made yourself. Also the crashes are not exciting at all.
Graphics: Visuals seemed average. They could have been better considering that there are currently games like rallisport our that have breathtaking textures. When I heard about this game when it was anounced for ps2, I wanted it bad. I never got around to renting it and then found out it was on xbox. I played it and saw that the graphics were not much different. If only this was not a ps2 port. The graphics could have been better.
Sound: The sound it not very exceptional but not horrible. If they release a sequal, they need a custom soundtrack feature.

Graphics: The Graphics are okay..(PS2 graphics)
But its alright.. the best part is when your going 140 m.p.h. through tons of traffic!!!!!!! :)
Sound: Sound is pretty good.. the soundtrack kinda gets old after a while but just turn down the volume and turn up your radio!!!!!!!!!

Overall: Pretty good game the crashes are fun to watch in the replay mode, The graphics are pretty sweet, best traffic models I've ever seen in a game. The debris and everything else that fly off the car when you crash it is pretty cool. the game is pretty realistic in my opinion.
Gameplay: I loved the controller setup, it was really fun racing around in the environments, even tho it was limited. the physics were also really nice, and it kind of felt real flying around corners power sliding etc...
Graphics: The environments, the cars, the buildings, and the textures, were done with some pretty awesome detail. the game almost looked real in some areas. they did an excellent job in the visual area.
Sound: The sounds were a little bland in this game, there seemed like there were only 4-5 different sounds that played when you crashed which really drew away from the game. the engine sounds were pretty nice tho.

Overall: I saw a demo movie of this game showing some of the crashes in it and decided I had to play it. After playing it I found out that the demo movie showing tons of crashes was pretty much the whole game, blowing up your car by crashing into other vehicles and walls was pretty much the whole game, this game also has quite a nice racing feature as well, this game provides alot of fun in multiplayer and some chuckles in single player mode, but after playing it for a while it wears a bit thin, the turbo booster saves this game from becoming bor in five minutes adding another level of madness.
Gameplay: Brilliant multiplayer, if both of the people playing have played it alot it wears quite thin, that's where the racing feature of the game kicks in and helps out. This game has got very good handling with an excellent turbo boost and lots of great slides, there is alot to unlock to keep you interested in the single player mode, so if you love fiddling around with your cars and looking after them this game isn't for you, if you want a quick bash where you can desroy lots of purdy looking vehicles, this game if for you.
Graphics: Looks quite nice, not on the level of PGR, but it has better control than PGR, the tracks look nice, and all the vehicles look pretty good too. The best part about the graphics is the crashes, they look brilliant but you have to keep coming up with different types of crashes or they all look pretty much the same after a while.
Sound: This was the most dissapointing part of this game, here is a demolition derby style racer, and it doesn't have a custom soundtrack. That's just crazy, the cars sound nice and the crashing noises are great, but it really needs a custom soundtrack, the music is quite boring in this game. Definately needs improving.

Overall: Burnout is about the exileration of flying through traffic at high speeds, escaping narrowly from certain death, and witnessing spectacular crashes. If you like that in your games then you will enjoy this title. There is nothing like power braking through standstill traffic, perfectly passing through waiting cars while you hear your opponents crash behind you. Burnout is not perfect though, the a.i. is typical rubber band, which doesnt reward skill and is way too easy to beat. The graphics are average, and the game is too short. Still i liked the game overall because it gives you that edge of seat tension.
Gameplay: Its typical car action, with solid car control. The cars probably grip the road a little too well, but you will be glad they did as there are several obstacles to avoid. The game adds a burnout meter, which is essentially a turbo boost. To get burnout turbo you have build the meter by near misses to other cars, power brake slides or stay in wrong way traffic lanes as long as you can. I liked this feature, and the turbo seemed ridiculously fast. The traffic cars reacted well also, swirving out of the way if they could avoid you. It was a little to easy to avoid oncoming traffic though, just staying in the middle of the road was ussually all you had to do.
Graphics: Pretty average, the surrounding were nice in terms of the buildings and trees etc. The traffic cars and trucks were subpar. The cars often looked like old style cars, way too top heavy. The weather effects and lighting were disappointing, the night tracks were a joke, there had zero effect on gameplay. This area could be improved greatly.
Sound: The sound is fine, like i said earlier it is great to hear your opponents crash behind you.
Suggestions: Add more to the surroundings, like people on the streets, police cars that chase you, road blocks that you need to creativey pass. Short cuts might be fun to exploit. Better ai on your opponents, reward good driving but make it harder to win. Better graphics, but keep the frame rate good, its more important to have good frame rate than good graphics but crappy frame rate in a racing title.

Overall: This is a very slick and cool racing game. You'll have much fun zooming around the city, swerving through traffic, trying to win the race. I like the racing of this game better than Project Gotham since this game makes you feel like your going really really fast! But thats the only thing it has up on PGR. The one major thing that effect this games is that it has NO liscensed cars!!
Gameplay: The gameplay is what makes this game fun. Its all fastpaced action. The controls are very simple, right trigger go, left trigger brake. Thats all you need. The bad thing about crashing is that it takes a while to get back on the road. Other than that the game is very fast, but not much in the way of game modes or cars.
Graphics: The graphics are so so. Since this is also a gamecube game, theres nothing special about it. There just some bland, but decent next gen graphics
Sound: I truly did not really notice much in the way of the sound. This means that is was just again decent. Reving the engine sounded good though. Vroom-Vroom!!

Overall: Nice! Very good, easy-to-learn, hard-to-master driving game where the objective is simple: Get to the finish FAST, who cares about the other drivers!
Visuals are among the best I've seen, even on my high-end gaming PC. The playability is very good, and it's one I keep going back to for more fun. Good two-player action as well, with a top-n-bottom split screen.
The developer wisely spent not a single dime on licensed designs, product tie-ins, or other non-gameplay items. The result is a collection of fun, original track designs, and a varied group of cars that each have a different feel.
Gameplay: Excellent! The engine is realistic enough to not totally discard the laws of physics, without getting bogged down in the untra-realistic mode of some of the other racers (if I want real, I'll just get on the freeway).
Gameplay is fairly intuituitive, with the manual being pretty much unnecessary.
Graphics: Wow. I play on a 65" widescreen HDTV set, and this game looks phenomenal. Especially on replays. The use of motion blurring is about the best I have ever seen. This game really does work best on larger TV's. Tried it on my 32" and found it a bit challenging, mostly on the split-screen two-player mode. But, Wow. If I had any doubts about the capabilities of the 'box, this game wiped them clean.
Sound: Good. Music is simple and minimal, and is not really a part of the gameplay. Sound cues are good and a useful part of the same.
I give credit to the developers for not trying to get away with mediocre gameplay by putting in expensive, licensed music.
Suggestions: The ability to download new tracks would be great. Other than that, Excellent game!

Overall: If there is any race game that makes you actually wish you had a shift and clutch, this is it. Even so, there is much room for improvement.
Gameplay: Dont. Blink. This game is FAST! I like the mix between arcady controls, and realistic races. The adrenilin(Sp) meter is perfect, much like using NOS. At times, I am afraid to use it because I knew I would crash.
Graphics: Although I am very pleased with the traxks, envirements and weather, I am somewhat dissapointed by car models. I think that had there been licensed cars they would have used more detail.
Sound: I dont have dolby 5.1. But my hdtv has subwoofers and some nice speakers. I was quite pleased with the sound effects but very dissapointed at the fact that there is no custom soundtracks.
Suggestions: Many a times have I gone around a corner only to crash straigh into the side of a eighteen wheeler. How cool would it be if you could actually go under these trucks? Overall: For me this game has a lot to offer, I like games that stick me into hairy situations, and what's more hairy then some oncoming traffic? There are plenty of tracks to be unlocked, and an average number of cars for a game of this type. In the end it isn't the cars, the graphics or the sound that keep me coming back for more, it's the track layout and the utter thrill of driving fast and completly crazy without any real danger. Anyone who liked the first Need For Speed will feel at home with the crashing, and anyone with a love of racing games of all types will gobble this one up. For the rest of you, I suggest you give it a good rent first.
Gameplay: This is the department where Burnout really excels. Let me start off by saying the AI is excellent. Computer controlled cars not only get in accidents as often as you, but they also drive on the wrong side of the road, use their boost, and force you into oncoming traffic. The in game traffic reacts to what you do as well, if you swerve at them they will hit the breaks and try to get out of your way in a realistic manner. The crashes in this game are said to be the best and most realistic unfortunately I cannot agree here, while very good I didn't find them to be as real as I expected them to. Maybe its because my idea of a 150 mph crash into head on traffic is more of along the lines of a few flips and some rolling, while in this game its mostly spin outs and a single flip in the air. The most annoying part of a crash is the instant replay that you cannot skip. Right after the impact, the game goes into a semi slow-mo replay; which is cool at first but will soon get on your nerves. The focus of the game is Championship mode, which consists of circuits, each with its own set of tracks. When you beat one you unlock the next, and eventually new cars. There are time trials and single races, as well as a two-player mode. Let me stop there for a second and talk a little bit about the two player mode. First off, its !&%$@#* fun! Smacking your opponent around is a joyous thing that should be enjoyed by everyone. However it is very hard to see the traffic ahead of you mainly due to the timer in the middle of the screen. This might be different for other people with bigger TV's; I myself tested this game on a 27 inch Sony Vega.
There isn't much to talk about here, it's a very ''Arcadey'' game with loose controls, and the occasional drift which is simple to recover from. This is the type of game anyone can pick up and play with little to no practice whatsoever. The layout is simple, R&L are the analog Gas/break, and you can use the control stick or D-Pad to turn, that's pretty much all you need to know.
Graphics: Where do I start? Burnout can best be described graphically as an ambitious effort. The frame rate is a rock solid 60 fps no matter what happens. Not once did I ever notice a drop no matter how many cars were on screen and there can be upwards of 30+ at any given moment. The texture work is not great, but its not bad either, certain textures seem to have gotten an overhaul while some just look washed out and plain, no bump mapping here folks sorry. The cars are average looking, but the Xbox version seems to have gotten a revamped reflection map system. It is not of the same quality as Project Gotham or RalliSport, but more along the lines of Test Drive Off Road. This basicly means that it will reflect the road and the sky, but not really anything else. Track detail is scarce and the road at times looks very flat but you will hardly notice while your screaming at over 130 mph in oncoming traffic. What this game does manage to show is the absolute balls the RenderWare engine has, with a rock solid 60 fps and upwards of 12 million polys per second on screen. With a little tweaking, I believe we could see a sequel with graphics that easily rival Project Gotham.
Sound: Sound is tricky, while it runs perfectly in Dolby 5.1 which really adds a lot to the atmosphere, after all there is no better sound then a car whizzing by at top speed, And with positional audio you feel like your in the drivers seat. The basic racing sound effects like screeching tires, the roar of the engine and the carnage that is a crash are all done nicely, but I feel they could have been a lot better. The music on the other hand will make most people want to rip their ears off their head. Funky semi-techno/Euro pop tunes with almost no pleasant beats really get on your nerves, especially since there is almost no variation in the song. It's like a 30 second audio clip stuck on loop and you cant find the remote to turn the volume off.

Overall: This game has some of the best racing graphics I have ever seen. Whenever you crash theres a little movie the car gets totaled the windows smash and byebye car. But after seeing these movies it can get annoying as while the movie shows you crashing......YOU RUN OUT OF TIME!! this gets so frustrating as you spend alot of time in the race then when your about a minute away form ending.....you run outta time. Oh well I guess that's what a good game needs, difficulty. Anyways it also has very good gameplay its an arcade racer with many differnt modes. It's a very good game.
Great job.
Gameplay: As i said there are many modes to choose from: single race, tournament, time attack. It's all very fun. Also unlike alot of racing games it is very easy to control which is so relieving.
Graphics: The looks of the cars are OUTSTANDING. I mean just driving around swirving through cars looks so great. But when you crash is when the good stuff starts coming. It just looks simply amazing when you crash. Windows shatter, car shrinks and sometimes does flips and spins!
Sound: Here is cool the sound of ignition, it doesnt really have music which is a bummer but oh well. The skids, crashes and ignition sorta makes up for that. But hey its like an arcade racer.

Overall: It is fun, has a great sense of speed, a kick in multiplayer, but beyond that it is not on my list of fun racers.
I don't like the checkpoint timed setup for racegames so that is one reason I can't boast about this racer. It is fun, but gets old pretty quick. Might want to rent it to see if it is something your interested in. Odds may be you'll bore of it before you return it.
Gameplay: Grows old quick. There is a real sense of speed, and seems as if the object of the game is more to wreck than race. Also has checkpoints which I think is pretty lame. Your forced to watch the wreck and it puts you back on the track with no damage to wreck again.
Graphics: Looks great. COuld use a bit of antialiasing, but the replays are very nice to watch and the blurring really looks cool and adds to the sense of speed.
Sound: Sounds OK. Some good driving tunes might make it better, but the sounds of glass shattering and metal crunching is well done.
Suggestions: Throw away the timed checkpoints and make racing the idea. If this were a pure racer with no crash objective I'd give it a full 5. Racing a clock to checkpoints and having crash damage repaired instantly is kinda lame.

Gameplay: This game plays very well with one exception, automatic transmission. When you play this game you have to play it in manual, othewise itr can get a little boring, that is you simply have to steer. However with the added challange of having to shift the car in and out of gear this game has a whole new difficulty.

Overall: I heard a lot of people who said that x-box don't have enough racing game. Oh my god ! I don't think so, there too many of them in fact. But the big question over here is probably if Burnout have something more special than a basic racing game. Yes, they add a collision system, a multiplayer with bots ( we got something that Rallisport Challenge should have ), and some face-off. All those stuff are interesting but Burnout lose his credibility by beeing a multi-console game.
Gameplay: Againt and probably forever, arcade game are done with the old driving system so nothing is really new. Also the collision system is not programmed so well because when they give the car damage in money is not always realistic. You want a example : A collision with a bus throw me out of the bridge and i fall on a other car, that cost me 40 000 $ and one time i got 120 000 $ for a simple collison with a honda civic ! Also if you want a boost you can go on a oncoming way to have more points in the boost meter or do a near miss. Definetly the gameplay could be better in all the way i find and i want face-off that give powerful car not big truck that run at 80 km/h maximum.
Graphics: Does i said that was a multi-console game. So you probably know what i am thinking about that kind of game. They are not clear, not sharp in fact they are not well done ! She got graphic that can be see on gamecube or playstation 2 so it's not really a original game.
Sound: Burnout does a great job utilizing Xbox' 5.1 capabilities. Only in 5.1 can you hear oncoming traffic wizz by. There's not a lot going on behind you, except when your competitors near. Then you will hear the roar of their engine, adding to the tension. When you bust out your boost, you'll hear your heart thumping in your chest. The music never rises to meet this tension, always staying low in the background. It was an artistic choice to keep the score almost inaudible. It flitters quietly in the background, completely antithetical to other racing game soundtracks. This is, it seems, an attempt to heighten the sounds of the round. And it works effectively. If you don't care for this muted soundtrack, you won't be able to do a thing about it. Customized soundtracks are not allowed in Burnout, which is a real shame.
Suggestions: The only thing you can had to sastified me is better graphic. Also better colision system, more cars and better face-off in the meaning of more and that give something good, of course.

Overall: All in all, I say this game should be added to your racing library. There may be a few glitches that you will see in the graphics area, but that doesn?t take away from the excitement. But I do recommend the developers to fully test their product before releasing it with bugs described above.
Gameplay: I would have to say that this game is very exciting. Not to mention the spectacular crashes you are involved in. And just like a real crash, it all can happen in a blink of an eye. First, you are cruising down a deserted and then BAM; you hit a Mack Truck. Now those of you who have played this game before on the PS2, and complain about the replays?all I can say is this; if you don?t like it, don?t crash. Nevertheless, to feel that rush, you try the occasional and yet casual crash.
Two-player mode is another story. This is when the battle becomes more aggressive and the stakes are higher. You think that you can compete with a friend that is not scared of causing an accident just to screw you up?? Well, it all depends on whom you play. The game will still be exciting if your opponent manages to wreck everything in sight, causing him to be a lap behind you. However, if he doesn?t reach the checkpoint, then he can kiss his game goodbye. You only have a certain amount of time to reach a checkpoint, or else its gameover. This goes for single player as well.
Graphics: Although this game was ported from the Playstation 2 platform, you would have thought it was made ?ONLY FOR XBOX?. With several graphic enhancements to boot such as reflective asphalt, semi-transparent smoke clouds, motion blur during a speed boast and replays, and a cool sun glare that you would only find in top notch racing games like RalliSport or Project Gotham. The sheer speed of this game is mind bending, and never slows down until you decide to run into that semi-truck with your name on it. The tracks and environment are also very splendid and well rendered. The only problem that I have with the graphics in this game is in 2-player mode; you will have several polygon mapping defects in the sky and on the turf. It gets very annoying when you notice the sky having two different colors, and see a line across the sky. It is a small price to pay when you want a nice game ported over.
Sound: Whether you have stereo sound or sporting a 5.1 system, Burnout will make use of it all. With crisp sounding crashes, it makes you feel as if you have broken several windows in your house, leaving you with goose bumps. In addition, if you are using a 5.1 system, you will have the satisfaction of real-time positional sounds. You will hear your opponent coming from behind you, and know which side he is going to pass you on. The musical score in this game is below average, but just enough for an arcade style game like this. I would recommend turning off the music and play to you own music, but this game does not have that option?Maybe next time people.

Overall: This game doesn't have the best grafix of the games on the X-Box but it is one of the funest racing games i've ever played.
Gameplay: The game play was one of the best things on the game,I mean is there anything more fun than going 140 into oncoming traffic
Graphics: Like i said b4 its not the best in the world but it is cool because when you about to hit sombody they turn on their lights to warn you to get out of their way.
Sound: The sounds were another good thing in the game. The other driver use their horns when you cut then off and your car has a horn to.
Suggestions: put cars on the Free Roam

Overall: This game is actually fun! With so many racing games for the xbox already, I was a little skeptical. But, while Rallisport and Project Gotham bank on graphics, this game is actually fun to play.
Gameplay: It keeps track of how much insurance money the crashes you cause cost. It's not just about winning the race. Traffic is just cool to drive through at 130 mph. If you liked the movie "The Fast and the Furious" at ALL, you'll love this game.
Graphics: Obviously not the best on the xbox. However, it does have some cool effects. I like the warp effect when you hold down the turbo. It's psychidelic, man!
Sound: Nothing spectacular. The turbo effect is kind of cool. In addition to the warp visual, it starts a heart beat, which is actually cool if you have a decent sound system.
Suggestions: Give the user the option to turn off the checkpoints and just drive to drive.

Overall: With the current technology we already have as far as graphics and effects, why would they put this game on xbox? Honestly, if you own an xbox, there are better racing games on the market. Project Gotham has a lot more to offer in every way. Wreckless has better crashes and better effects. Rallisport has more polygonal smoothness than they can count. Rent this one first. Trust me.
Gameplay: The controls are typical and easy to jump into. The worst part is the replay when you crash and you are forced to watch a double replay of every little crash every single time you bump something and you can't turn them off. It gets very annoying after the first couple of races.
Graphics: The graphics are the worst of any racing game on the xbox. You can tell this game is a port from PS2 and they didn't beef it up any. The cars have no detail at all. The few you get anyway.
Sound: No complaints here. Crashes sound real at least. You can hear the glass break when your windows smash.

Overall: Burnout is one of the funnest games i've played for xbox. even though the game was pretty short, i had a great time with it. This is one of those racing games that actually feels fast, add this to traffic, and it's chaotic fun :D During a crash, it shows 3 different views at slow mo... sweet :D
Gameplay: With about 9 cars, 7 leagues (between 1 and 3 races per league), 4 face offs, and survivor mode, this game is pretty short. The controls are pretty easy to learn. one thing it was missing was that it didn't have custom soundtrack feature :(
Graphics: The car models might not be high in detail, but the courses are large and full of traffic. and i did not notice any slow down at all. When you replay a crash, you are able to put on motion blur. i didn't notice much of a change, just that the jaggies were smoothed out.
Sound: The engine sounds were real nice... i noticed pressure on the axis when the car did a jump and landed... sounds nice... the music ain't that bad either.
Suggestions: Add more to it... this game is so good, it deserves to be longer!

Overall: The idea of racing at over 100mph through city streets is what should attract anyone to this racing game.
Gameplay: The action is good and the game progression is also good. The computer opponents are pretty crappy drivers also! The action is arcade style so don't think Project Gotham style racing.
Graphics: This is where I'm disappointed. The box says HDTV and Dolby 5.1 ready but the graphics are not that good when the car is traveling at high speed. I'm on the gas at full speed most of the time but the road up ahead is grainy.
Sound: The sounds are adequate. The tunes included are annoying after a while but you can shut them off so I can't complain.
Suggestions: More cars, better interaction with the environment.

Overall: This game rocks! I love race games so maybe I?m biased. I love the graphics! You can see way in the distance with little redraw! Excellent! The cars handle very well! The cars have excellent control. I swear you think you are really doing 100mph! The crashes are very cool, looks like a real crash, the game physics are dead on!
Gameplay: I love the graphics and the crashes. The cars accelerate and control extremely well! If you like to drive fast in traffic and whip through turns in city streets then this is a game to try!!! If you like Rally Sport Challenge then this game has the same appeal! Very well done!
Graphics: Excellent visuals! I love the detail in the city?s bridges, cars!!! The physics are outstanding! The ?look ahead? detail is high with no drawing of the distant scenes. You can see a bridge in the distance from the moment you make the turn and you can?t wait to get to it and drive over it! Just excellent graphics!!! This is one of the best Xbox racing games so far!
Sound: Sounds are well engine noise crashes and skids. Not a lot of different sounds but they are very well done!!!
Suggestions: Free roam, free roam, free roam!!! Let us just drive with no check points and time limits! This game is so visually beautiful that you just want to drive around with out beating a clock!

Overall: I found this game to be truly eXciting! My heart really does race, and when the player craches, it is actually a shock and sometimes even jumping in my seat. Graphics ,music, and sound fx are really good. I think this is one of those games where on a rainy day, all your games suck, but Burnout will be the one you slide on in, and play again and again.
Gameplay: Game play is easy, yet not childish. As far as controls...minimal buttons are used, but with the design of the game driving isn't as "simple" as it may seem with just 3 buttons being used. Press brakes too hard and they'll lock up. Take turns too hard, and you'll bve pulled by centrifical force to the wall, or loose control a little. The tracks/courses are not terribly difficult, which also aloows for top speeds many times.
Graphics: Visually this is a great game. I feel at the high speeds, there isn't much time to even realize there is no bump-mapping, and the objects, other vehicles look darn good for flying past then in a heartbeat. The autos used in this game aren't licensed, but that is ok, you can still tell which car they were going for. One thing I like a lot is the fact you can see way way down the road without it getting this is great because in only a second "way way down there" is right in your face! Replays are great, realizm at a high degree.
Sound: Sound is really good. some of the music is a little bland/ repetitive, but it can be turned down. Sound effects are good as well. Engine sound a bit standard and at times loud...but it can also be turned down. Crash sounds are great. Its the initial sound of bending metal and shattering glass that make the effect great, its just a sharp, hard and short crash sound....then just tires squeeling, like a real wreck. Scary!
Suggestions: There are a few.
*Make the in game crashe replays available to turn on/off.
*Be able to add our own soundtrack.
*Get the copyrights to make real cars!
*smaller timer number on the screen!

Overall: This game is great overall. I went over to a friends, and we played like all night. The races are great, but the eye candy is most pleasing in the real time crashes.
Gameplay: I love racing games, and I was not quite impressed when MM2 came out about a year or two ago. I had played a variety of games, but none of them were ever as good as MM1. (not in terms of physics, but how fun it was) This came closed the gap for me.
Graphics: Eye candy is abundant throughout the whole game. The crashes are yet agian real nice. There is no feeling like boosting straight through on coming traffic and then watching the replay. It is really SWEET!
Sound: The sound was good, but most of the time you are so concentrated on driving that you don't concentrate on it as much.
Suggestions: Well, maybe licensed cars. But keep up the good work!!
