Overall: Ok, First off they promised us the world. They gave us a swift kick in the junk! That being said, I was highly disapointed. The game it's self is ok, but had the potental to be so much more. You can't even climb the ladders or get on tables! I mean come on People. Most of the weapons were bogus, and what the hell is up with the no champaign mode. No going back stage, no hell in the cell, and for the love of god no Royal Rumble what were you thinking? This is the xbox version of war zone... We didn't deserve that punishment. I'll admitt I play the game all the time ,but I wouldn't own it if I would have played it befor I bought it. The only thing it has going for it is the graphics. The create a superstar was cool but lacked in some area's. Like putting a outfit together is a giant headache. It takes me a hour to make a guy and i can do it relatively quick.
Gameplay: I did like the feel of the game. It was very simular to wwf games of the past.I think one thing that could help would be to change the taunt/special to the right joy stick. I think that the AI players reverse moves to much, But they do put up a good fight which gives yoou a challange. Haveing six people in the ring at once was a nice change.
Graphics: The best part of the game without a dought! The intro's kick ass! I really like the replay when you do a finishing move. Some of the characters need work. That had to be the worst Triple H replica I have ever seen.
Sound: The sound was ok. Finally they got to use all the superstars intro music. I would like to have been able to use music from my sound track on my created guys.
Suggestions: Where do we start? First of all you need a Royal Rumble match it is the back bone if you want this to go on xbox live. I would like to see more than six guys maybe eight or so. Having the king and J.R. out at the anouncers table would be an added bounus. Please fix HHH the hair was horrable. A nice campaign mode would be good. Where random things happen and people attack your guy. One where it saves the champ ,and when he come to the ring he has the belt on. Let us climb ladders and tables. Maybe a random audiance member could run out and take a swing once in a while. I for one would like to be able to run out and dropkick the Undertaker off his bike.

Overall: Great game, it has a ton of superstars with great animations, simple grappling system, authentic entrances, and everything else a fun wrestling game needs. Of course it lacked a season mode and match types, but it's a base game so that was expected. There are also hundreds of weapons, and an OK create a wrestler, for a base game.
Gameplay: The best grapple system out of the wrestling games on all other consoles, the controls can be learned after 1 match.
Graphics: Graphics are Great! Each wrestler is made up of 5,000 polygons and an incredible amount of detail went into the arenas and objects.
Sound: Like I said, all of the real entrance music was here, The Undertaker even had Rollin' by Limp Bizkit as his intro. No complaints here.
Suggestions: The next one is looking good, keep it up.

Overall: Once you figure out the controls for the wrestlers this is an extremely enjoyable game. It took me abit to get used to it due to the fact that Blockbuster didn't send any user guides with it. But overall it's lots of fun. Likely won't buy this one but WWE Raw #2 will be a likely purchase.
Gameplay: The gameplay is realistic, with true to the game entrance themes and custom moves from all of the top wrestlers in the WWF. Controls are naturally a bit complex but don't take long to learn and after a few rounds in the squared circle you will understand the majority of the moves needed to successfully win a match.
Graphics: Graphics are great, very realistic. The moves are smooth and the visuals are very well done. Full marks in this dept.
Sound: The sounds in this game are also top notch. True to form entrance themes and the smack of a chair hitting an opponant over the head. Combine this with the visuals and it feels like you are in the arena.
Suggestions: Keep up the good work. Keep adding wrestlers, perhaps have an interview scene or allow the wrestlers to go behind the stage. Also would be cool to be able to drop opponants on announcer tables etc...

Overall: The first attempt at a wrestling game on the xbox. I purchased this game for 10 dollars not expecting much. Well i was correct. This is a lackluster game that comes no where close to wwf no mercy.
Gameplay: The grappling system and controlls are horrible. Its not quite smackdown but not quite no mercy. Whats even worse is that you can be pounding on a wrestler for five minutes straight, hit your finisher and he will bounce right back up. I find myself having to use clotheslines and other boring moves to finish the match. There are also extremly stupid weapons in crates that can be unlocked. There are no ladder matches, or table matches. Everything is very basic here.
Graphics: This is the best looking wrestling series out. Thats the only good area of this game. I must mention though that HHH looks like a hagard old women.
Sound: Decent sound is in this game. The wrestlers all have their correct music but there is no music ripping on this title. Nothing extraordianry here.

Overall: Beforing getting my Xbox this is one of the games i was hyped up for. But when it came out and just left an ugly taste in your mouth and it didnt live up to its hype.
Gameplay: The gameplay was just messed up. The game got old really quickly because there was no good seaon mode, the CAW mode sucked, not alot of match types. And some of the things that were promised in the game were taken out like blood, fighting in the crowd, and fighting in the backstage areas. If you have friends over its a nice game to pick up and beat the ish outa each other.
Graphics: This is prolly the only thing going for this game. the wrestlers look prety good for the most part. Other player look like they got there face boiled oe something.
Sound: No commentating and songs to listen to so basicly its just a wrestling game. The sound enternaces for the wrestlers was pretty good.
Suggestions: FIX everything, take out all the stupid stuff like a dresses. And add modes that will make me actually care. Add more modes and if possible make RAW 2 xbox live.

Overall: Ok, firts of all, this game is for wrestling fans only. The entrances and music videos are great. The graphiqs are realy realistic too.But newcomers will probly be disabouinted with the slow gameplay and buton comands.True fans should enjoi this title tought
Gameplay: Prety slow compared at other fighting games. You will probably get tired of it afert an 1 hour or 2, so take my advice and rent it firts!
Graphics: Outstanding, beatiful graphics, thats the power of the xbox. Some wrestlers do will look different(espacialy the face) but the rest looks good
Sound: Great entrance themes, precise along with the video. No commentary that makes matches more lame with a descent soundtrack

Overall: At first blush this title is awesome visually - it promises a great game until you dig a bit deeper.
Gameplay: Gameplay is horrendous - this game leaves everything up to your computer opponent. The controls are kludgy at best and the logic behind what happens is totally wrong.
Graphics: Visually, this one rocks. The entrance sequences are the best of any fighting game. The options for making your own character are great. As eye candy WWF RAW is top notch.
Sound: The sound is decent. There is nothing in it to make you say WOW - but nothing to make you feel cheated either. It is as expected.
Suggestions: Let the wrestlers fight - use the combos etc - take a look at the WCW title for the old Playstation for a clue.

Overall: Very nice visual game. Entrances were beautiful, and most of the characters looked very well made. I was REALLY, let me emphasis, REALLY disappointed in the controls. We'll get into that later, but overall the game was good. The create a wrestler mode was great as well.
Gameplay: Gameplay? The makers of Raw had intentions of keeping your attention for about two hours. (Of course, spending that time making your character) The controls are putrid at best. You have no control over what's going on, and you still get the crap beat out of you in easy mode. Controls, definitely, just like Angle. They suck!
Graphics: Stunning graphics. I was truly amazed here. Where they went wrong with the gameplay, the did right with the visuals. If WWE 2 looks as good as this one did, I'll be amazed. Extensive Pyrotechnics were nice.
Sound: Having only one theme kinda sucked, but if it really means that much to you, turn down the volume, and listen to your discman.
Suggestions: Tweak the game to not make the controls suck like Kurt Angle. Bigger Rosters.

Overall: This game is very addictive once you´ve got the groove, the intros are awesome and I love the girls.
The controls are comfy and the finishing moves really make you feel the pain.
The Extra characters and their intros are quite creative although they should have done an Intro for Fred.
The game is worth its price, plus you can make your own characters.
Gameplay: The matches are not very varied I was waiting for Tornado or for "Cage Match", other than that the game is good, the fact that you can wear stuff and Break stuff adds more fun to your duty of kicking your friends´ a$$.
Graphics: The characters are not great or awesome but at least you can tell whose who. The crod is just a 2d animation and it gets annoying when you are aboout to do a finishing move and the camera gets blocked by a cardboard.
Sound: The music is really not important but it would be great if you could play your own music and also if the characters taunted that would add some hype into the game

Overall: WWF Raw has a fantastic wrestling engine which goes a long way towards making this game enjoyable. It looks and feels like you're in control of a WWF match from beginning to end and this is what wrestling games are supposed to give us. I was a huge fan of No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 on N64 and this feels like a huge next generation leap forward from those games in terms of gameplay. I'm not sure how Wrestlemania X8 is going to turn out on GameCube, but I know long time Nintendo/wrestling fans would definitely want something like Raw.
The lack of a true career mode hurts this game the same way it hurts sports games that merely pay lip service to this feature. I had lofty expectations for the first Xbox wrestling game and I wanted to see complicated, interactive, choose-your-own adventure type story modes. Even though I was being very unrealistic, it's still disappointing that Raw, with this Title Match Mode, does not even attempt any sort of true career/story mode.

With that said, Raw does a whole lot more good than bad, and it's still a game that Xbox owners need to pick up if they have even the slightest interest in the WWF. I'm not sure if there's such a thing as casual WWF/Xbox fan but Raw will appeal to them as well with its outstanding WWF realism. The hardcore fans will get plenty of enjoyment out of the difficult AI, the awesome multiplayer modes and the super deep Create-A-Wrestler mode.

Gameplay: Raw features a very refined grappling system that's much more fluid and responsive than any wrestling game to date. Furthermore all moves are limited by the amount of available "energy" your wrestler has at any given moment. So rather than a strong or weak grapple and a full complement of moves for each, your wrestler has one grapple and it's up to you to know if he or she has enough energy to pull off the move you want. Logically, simple moves out of a grapple like a slap or a chop to the chest don't require much energy. Bigger moves like a sidewalk slam or a stalling brainbuster take more juice and if your wrestler doesn't have it, the grapple will be broken by your opponent or even countered. This is a great innovation that forces players to strategize rather than just drop a dozen piledrivers on an enemy.

Everything you do uses energy in Raw and you'll see the bar moving back and forth near his or her feet. The variety of striking moves you have at your disposal use up a little energy. Running by double tapping on the D-pad or leaning the left analog stick uses energy. Picking up a table and swinging it takes way more energy than picking up a sledgehammer and swinging it at somebody. You can swing a chair until your wrestler runs out of energy, usually 5 or 6 blows, and then he'll drop it. Energy replenishes in less than one second as soon as you stop moving and give your guy a chance to recover.

The box at the end of your energy meter functions as a health indicator too, but you'll only notice it when you're taking a beating. The faster it blinks the more vulnerable you are to a pin or submission attempt. You want that box to stay solid and not blinking at all.

Raw does a brilliant job of incorporating the crowd into the play mechanic. No you can't fight in the crowd but the crowd approval meter at the bottom of the screen is just as significant. Through out the ups and downs of the match the colored bars matching the colors of the different wrestlers will grow or shrink in relation to how the crowd feels about you. You cannot pin somebody that the crowd likes. Charismatic wrestlers like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin pretty much have the crowd behind them no matter what, so it takes one hell of a beat down to pin those two. Snore kings like Steve Blackman rarely get much crowd support. The key is getting the crowd behind you by executing a variety of moves and attacks and building their excitement level until your crowd meter starts to flash. This is when you can pull of your signature move and really send them through the roof. If the crowd is behind you and the other guy's health box is blinking you're ready to get the pin. But for you sadistic sickos out there, the crowd will turn on you and start rooting for the other guy if you over do it and keep beating the crap out of a guy when he's already "pinnable."

The item system in Raw might be the best innovation in the genre. During any match there are chairs behind the announcers table (even though there are no announcers) and other items like tables and ladders strewn about the ramp area or around the ring. All of these can be picked up and used offensively or used conventionally. That is, you can pick up a chair and smash a skull with it or simply unfold it and put it down for somebody to sit on. You can use a table or ladder in the same way. But there are also as many as six black trunks around the ring and ramp area that will have items in them. Everything from microphones to foam fingers to spiked dog collars to sunglasses to bazookas can be found in these trunks and used as weapons. Hats and pineapples don't do as much damage as steel pipes and scales but they're all usable. Also the obvious items can be used conventionally and worn by the wrestler. So if you bust open a trunk with Trish Stratus and pick up the chef's hat in there using the B-action button you can have her put the hat on her head and wear it during the rest of the match by hitting B again.
Graphics: The level of detail in Raw begins with the wrestlers themselves. Every scar, every tattoo and !&%$@#* near every hair out of place has been re-created on the Xbox. You can clearly see the reflective shine on Undertaker's leather pants, or Chris Benoit's snaggled tooth, or Rikishi's jiggling cellulite or that new tattoo on the back of the Big Show's neck whether it's during their intro or during a match. The lighting effects are subtle but they work well. Remember WWF Raw is lit for the TV cameras so everything should look the same pretty much from every angle.

The camera work is and underrated feature in this game. During one on one matches the camera will often cut from it's 3/4 view above the ring to a more dramatic angle to better capture the action. It's all done seamlessly and you'll never get disoriented coming into or out of the 2 second shot. The camera work is simplified for the 3 and 4 wrestler matches. The camera cuts on wrestler intros makes the whole thing look like it's a TNN broadcast as the wrestler's go about their routines on their way to the ring. Some intros even have different camera moves each time you run them.

But the overwhelming strength of Raw's wrestling animation is what carries this game. The Rock moves with all of the attitude of The Great One. From his moves to his taunts to his ring entrance, The Rock is animated consistently as the TV personality. In fact many of the moves in CAW are named after WWF Superstars because they're that unique and that recognizable. The Bubba Ray punch looks nothing like Kane's uppercut and each move has its specific timing and speed. It's all of the transitions from one move or animation to the other that really make this game so authentic. You never see a guy hop from one animation to another. If you want to follow up that left hook with a chop, you're going to have to wait for Jericho to reset himself before he can throw the next move.

You'll especially like some of the facial animations. Even created wrestlers will contort their faces and grimace in pain. But the coolest is how some of the superstars will be moving their lips as they come down the ramp during their intros or during their special moves. You can almost hear Bubba Ray telling D-Von to "get the table!" when he makes his two armed gesture.

A smaller guy like Spike Dudley is extremely quick and looks undersized when he goes to pick up somebody like Test, who's damn near a foot taller than him. The models may not be in proportion but it's good to see a wide variety of body shapes and sizes and animations that are consistent with those shapes and sizes. Rikishi is a lumbering oaf who runs out of energy very quickly in Raw but he has a lot of power in his moves. The Hardy Boyz always have the energy they need to pull of a high risk move but they can't take much punishment from opponents because they seem to wear themselves out.

Sound: The sound quality in Raw is evident in the wrestler intros. Just turn on your surround sound system and listen to the gong and the "dead man walkin'" during 'Takers entrance. You can even hear his motorcycle start up and rev as he comes down the ramp. All of the WWF Superstar themes are of the highest quality and faithfully reproduced in this game.

The background music during matches isn't very endearing but it's hard to think of a song that would sound good in a wrestling match than can take anywhere from 1 to 30 minutes. Some of the menu music gets a little freaky though with all of the subliminal echo-ey samples.

The sound effects of the weapons are well done. The metal objects ping and gong when they smash into an opponent and everything else makes the appropriate thud or thump when it comes into contact with something. The crowd reactions are right in time with the crowd meter but a better "boo" sound effect will be in order next time around.

We already mentioned the absence of the custom soundtrack feature but it's worth repeating here. A WWF game simply demands this Xbox only feature because it's the kind of thing wrestling gamers have wanted to do for a long time. Think of how Microsoft, the WWF and THQ could cross-promote a new WWF CD with all of the new themes the wrestlers are sure to have next year.

"The game was supposed to be a launch title but we didn't have all of the information about the Xbox's capabilities. So we weren't even able to use all of the features of the hardware for this game like we wanted to. But we'll definitely be ready for the next version of the game," adds Masahiro Onoguchi.

We'll be sure to let Anchor know that we have to have wrestler voices in the next Xbox wrestling game too. It's another case where they look like they want to speak so therefore they should.

Suggestions: Just make lots more types of matches in the next one. And also try to put in a good single player season mode.

Overall: Being a huge wrestling and WWE fan I bought this game as soon as it came out and it looked awesome but it is lacking alot of depth with no custom-soundtrack, no PPV modes, an out-dated roster, no proper career mode alot of wrestling fans are just going to skip this and wait for the 2nd.
Gameplay: Not enough to do lacking alot of depth with no custom-soundtrack, no PPV modes, an out-dated roster, no proper career mode make it pretty dodgy gameplay, but in the ring it gets better.
Graphics: Looks brilliant, the entrances are awesome and the wrestlers emotions look great, easily the best part of the game.
Sound: Some of the in-ring music is annoying after a while, luckily the crowd sounds great to cover it up. Definately needs a custom-soundtrack for in the ring and for in the create-a-wrestler section to make up for the crap roster.
Suggestions: More depth, career mode, custom-soundtrack, better roster, more game modes, more specialty matches, play it online, put a royal rumble in there, don't forget RVD,BOOKER T,HBK etc...

Graphics: the graphics are great. notice while playing faces do change when kicked or punched. The superstar entrences were very well done.
Sound: sound pretty good. Superstars Entrence music comes in great. and its cool to hear auctual groans when you hurt your oppent. I cant wait though for Raw 2 when u can put in your on music.

Overall: One word sums this game up : Decent . It's not that bad , it's not that good , well , it's definately not as bad as people have said anyway . Don't pay full price for it , but if you can get it cheap , buy it ! .

If you love wrestlng , you'll love it !

If you hate wrestling , you'll hate it !
Gameplay: It's wrestling , therefore the gameplay is going to be limited to "how many ways can i hurt this guy" . Still , plenty of game modes keep it solid.
Graphics: Much like the game itself . Not that bad , not that good . Everyone looks like their real life counterparts , but still a bit PS2 standard.

Overall: It is what it is, nothing more than that. Being a hardcore wrestling fan, i like it for the most part. But it still lacks in too many areas to be a great game.
Gameplay: The part that counts the most, is the worst part probably for most. I don't mind it that much anymore but it is still aggravating. Just Hard to Control.
Graphics: The Visual Graphics are by far the best of any wrestling game yet to me. I'm Still Amazed by them.

Sound: well there no anouncing in it, but the sound that it does have is good. Would be better if it had announcing. I think

Overall: Great eye candy, but not the greatest game. Those that need a wrestling game on xbox should pick it up. But those that just are an occasional fan of the WWE (wwf) should just leave it to a rental or two
Gameplay: Controls are easy. Grappling system is hard. RAW feels like a punch and kick fight. Truly a very poor engine.
The worst thing with the weapons is there are ladders but you can't climb them. That's pathetic.
Graphics: This is where RAW actually does good!
Great graphics and the wrestlers actually look realistic aside from Triple H. No slowdowns experienced.
Sound: Entrance Music good. The weapons actually make realistic sounds. If you put someone through a table, it makes a cracking sound (obviously). Good Sound.
Suggestions: More modes for RAW 2 (hell in a cell, ladder, table matches, etc.)

Gameplay: This is the total fun factor of the game. Wow I can move. The game should of had some game modes that we all expect from wrestling games.

Overall: Every monady night i tune in and watch WWF RAW IS WAR ON THE NEW TNN. ive watched it since i was little, but i have to admit its starting to suck. and i have to say the same thing for the latest wwf video games, wwf raw, wrestlemania 18, smackdown just bring it, they are all not that good.
Gameplay: WWF raw is a button masher. it took me like a week to figure out how to do a special move. youve got to get your opponent stunned, and have the crowd bar flashing, and then you push the special button.
the roster in this game is outdated. all the options in this game are funked up. when you pick lightweight tourniment, you can pick big show or rikishi as your wrestler, or for a womans tourniment, you can pick any male, female wrestler. this game needs work
Graphics: ill have to admit i was pretty impressed when i saw undertakers, kanes, entrance, but right after the bell sounded i felt like throwing this game away.
some of the wrestlers look great, and some dont, trish stratus looks great, but HHH looks like garbage, his face is funked up. he doesnt even have a big nose. the crowd looks pretty good. and the sweat from the wrestlers stays on the ring, which is a nice touch, but they left the blood that they promised out.

Overall: Eight months Australia has been waiting to get WWE Raw, and the only difference from the American version of the game is the name- WWF RAW is now WWE RAW. This in mind, you would expect for all the WWF symbols to be changed to the current WWE Symbol. Nope, the developers of this game are a lazy bunch, that's for sure... I would like to refer you to wwfraven2k's review of this game. It summed it up nicely.

But in all fareness, this game is awesome- provided you look over these 'minor' flaws-
*It has unresponsive handling
*Doesn't have a save function
*Doesn't have the 'use your own music' function
*Hardly any wrestling modes
*No Career mode
*No PPV mode
*Roster is completely out-dated (K-Kwik, X-Pac, Stone Cold, Chyna, NO WCW STARS!!! What happened to Booker T???)

The create-a-wrestler is great, I especially loved creating my entrance. Once again, though, RAW could've used the soundtrack option to great effect here.

The 'voltage' metre is utterly horrible too. I think Kurt Angle can easily say that RAW Sucks- It's true, it's true.

And to think I traded in NHL Hitz for this game...
Gameplay: Ugh, when pressing the X button in RAW you'd expect your wrestler to hit the other guy, wouldn't you? Well, the unresponsive controls of RAW make hitting people that more annoying. What's more- Your opponent seems to have no problems whatsoever in hitting you(even in EASY). Another thing- Grappling is too few and far between. For 98% of the game you are just hitting people with your left hand. To end on a slightly happier note- The fact that you can interfere with a wrestler during their entrance is alright.
Graphics: WWE RAW has been praised for it's graphics by many people. I however, am not 'many people'. The faces are unfortunately Xtra long and do not look at all like their real life counterparts. The entrances are all well and good but when the wrestler begins walking it turns into a monstrosity. WWE is more like something from the laboratory of Dr. Frankenstein then an Xbox Game.
Sound: The sound isn't great. No soundtrack option is a real let down. The In game music is bad, really bad. No commentary is even worse. The sound department just caps of a very sub-standard game. If you want something better than WWE RAW get Kabuki Warriors...
Suggestions: Start from scratch. I know THQ have made RAW and SMACKDOWN, and both of them are shocking games. THQ is the flag bearer for **** Wrestling games.

Overall: wwf raw is a good game if your into wrestling. the game is overall pretty good, but i felt lie the amount of moves and lack of a save feature really hurt this game!
Gameplay: i found that the first time you play the game its very difficult to fight due to the odd way of using the controller and using the d-pad. but the game is good if your a die hard wrestling fan!
Graphics: the wrestlers looked all as they do in real life, with the exception of one, triple h (HHH),he looks like he got hit with a bag of "What The F*CK" his face is so jacked up, probably because they had a hard time recreating his big nose!
Sound: yuck, i thought it was horrible, the annoying soundtrack in the backround really game me a headache. so much for the sound appeal!

Overall: It's a wrestling game, right away it appeals to me having been a wrestling fan for about 5 years now, but when I played this game, I almost felt like someone took me and piledrived my head into a chair... the game was that brutal (not in a good way). The whole idea of 'having the crowd on your side' and the 'momentum meter' was just assanine. I know in real life, a wrestling in the WWE doesn't start a match off with a suplex or a powerbomb... but dam, this is a game... why do you think games like Wrestlemania 2000 (n64) and No Mercy (n64) were so popular? Because they allowed us to do whatever the hell we wanted to... with our characters, with our moves, with our personalities... this game was a total let down, and I don't even reccomend that you rent it.
Gameplay: As stated above, THQ gave us a whole new feel, or engine if you prefer the technical term. It sucks. Period. You will not like it at all unless you actually are in the WWE... which.. I don't think anyone reading this is. It's not that I am so used to games like No Mercy, Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, and even the game that started the great THQ engine we used to love, World Tour. Only VERY hardcore fans should play this game... geez, and I thought I was a hardcore fan... guess not, I hated this game so much, I questioned my fanshipness (not a word) when it comes to wrestling.
Graphics: The intros are very good, until the wrestler walks of course, people don't walk like that! What were you thinking? They walk like they got a steel rod up their behinds for pete sakes! As for the move animations, they are well done (duh, it's xbox) but the walking animation is just hilarious (laughable).
Sound: The best aspect of the game, but it is not golden. All the wrestlers intro music is there, which is good, but... for a game like this, and listen carefully folks... USE THE FRIGGIN' HARD DRIVE! With all the delays this game went through, you atleast think they would keep in one of the best features the game had going for it, the ability to use your own music on the hard drive as your intro music. God I was pissed at this. All in all the sound is what you expect it to be, the crowd, the weapons, the intro music that is there, is all good... but not using the power of the XBOX doesn't sit with me well.
Suggestions: You have a lot of work to do for the sequel (which is in development) ... first, go back to your old engine you used on N64... or else I will not even rent this game. Have the ability to use your own music, and add more match styles (that always helps).

Overall: The overall apeel of this game is great. The graphics are the best of any wrestling game to date, the sound it great, everything almost. The only bad things are the wrestlers get up after evey signature move, no backstage and lack of variety.
Gameplay: The gameplay is very similar to No Mercy and the other wrestling games like No Mercy, and that's a good thing. It feels very natural and keeps the action uninterupted.
Graphics: This is once again the best part. The graphics are like I said the best of any wrestling game to date. Spectacular lighting, Crsip textures, Detailed characters, everything. This is a graphics whore's dream come true.
Sound: The sound in the game is great as well. The music and entrance songs are right on, the only downfall is the corny match music, bt I like to turn that off anyway.
Suggestions: Add backstage, Music ripping, Story mode, Variety, and you've got the best wrestling game ever. Oh yeah, that is Raw 2:)

Overall: As a big fan of wrestling and being a former wrestler myself, I can appreciate the realism behind this game. It is very well mapped and the create a character is awesome. Easy to play but can be a bit frustrating to begin with. It is also a little daunting finding new moves and how to pull them off.
Overall, the game is a lot of fun and was all I thought it would be and more.
Gameplay: The gameplay is easy and anyone can figure out after a few hours how to pull off a lot of moves. After many hours of playing I am still finding new ways to hurt my opponents. This game will keep you playing for a long time.
Graphics: Beautifully bitmapped characters and arenas and the entrances are just stunning. The whole look of the game is very pleasing to the eye, with bright colors and neat textures.
Sound: The voices is RAW are a little naff, but once you get into cracking some heads into tables and slamming chairs over heads you seem to forget how bad they sound.
Suggestions: Good job fellers!!!

Overall: I'm a big professional wrestling fan, and have been for over 18 years. When I saw video and screenshots for this game, they looked amazing. But after playing, my opinion changed drastically.
Gameplay: The gameplay seemed awkward. This is definately the hardest wrestling game that I've ever played, and that goes into Japanese Imports like the Fire Pro and Toukon Retsuden series. It seems that too many grapples are broken, and it breaks down into a punch and kick contest, which a wrestling game shouldn't be (Yes, I know that is basically what WWF, not WWE, is now).
Graphics: The grahpics are great. It animates smoothly, and the wrestlers actually sell when damage is done to them!!! The only problem is that many of the wrestlers look nothing like their actual counterparts. It takes away from the realism, and definately should be worked on.
Sound: The wrestler entrances are extremely well done, the music is there, which is always a plus. In game the sounds are just as well done.
Suggestions: Oh, where to start? Work on the grappling engine . . . this is wrestling, not kickboxing. If you win a grapple, you should definately get some kind of reward out of it, and not a reversal all the time. You need the typical gimmick matches, as that is what WWF is about now. Wrestlers should look more like the real life versions. Updated rosters for the new one don't need to be mentioned, but I'll mention them anyway.

Overall: 4 player mode! This game is a blast to play with 3 other friends! I had my 3 cousins over and we played this game for about 10 hours! Everything is on screen so you can see who is beating up who! Lots of things to pickup and bash on your opponet!
Gameplay: I loved the character selections and that everything is on screen. You can see it all! You can pick up a lot of stuff and smash it or throw it at your opponet! Very cool! Gotta play this with 4 people!!!
Graphics: Nothing spectacular...some cool intros...but the game doesn't have to look awesome to be awesome! Very good in my opinion.
Sound: not a lot to hear other than getting smashed over the head by a table. This is a fun multiplayer game!
Suggestions: I don't know, we liked it a lot!

Overall: Well, the game is overal decent. I mean, it's not no No Mercy or WrestleMainia 2000 for the ninedo 64, but it's a decent try by Anchor.
Gameplay: Well, this is the biggest complaint. The control system is kind of well "Tweaked". You can be beating on a guy for about a hour, and still be losing! The crowd meter is a good concept, in my opinion, though. You have to do different moves, which makes it intresting.
Graphics: The graphics on this game are amazing. A few people including, Triple H, and Chris Beniot, and a few others are the exception. But mostly everyone else is fantastic.
Sound: The sound in this game is pretty good, actually. The ring music isn't all that great but it's good. As for the entrances they are great. The sound, and videos are fantastic.
Suggestions: Well, go back to AKI, or atleast make WWE RAW2 Wayyy better!

Overall: Overall, this game was really not that good by any means. It wasn't an ejoyable experience. After 3 hours playing, I had to turn the game off because it just wasn't fun. I tried to like it. THQ dropped the ball on this one
Gameplay: The worst aspect of the game. THe gameplay was awkward and just flat out wrong. It didn't make any sense. The most annoying part is that after a wrestler has really been beaten up they can still hop right up after a big move is done on them. Don't expect any of the fun that you had with WWF No Mercy or Wrestlemania 2000.
Graphics: The only thing going for this game. When I turned on the game and watched the intros of the two wrestlers in my match I thought this was it. The game that WWF fans have always wanted. Well, after that the wrestlers didn't look all that great once you controlled them. Things looked good overall...the game wasn't good.
Sound: I don't remember all that much about sound at all so I am sure that means they didn't do all that much hear. The theme musics were there, but I don't really remember the sound being a fun part of the gameplay. One thing that this game needs to take advantage of is using soundtracks of the XBox for wrestler intros and gameplay.
Suggestions: Go back to AKI, they did a muchbetter job with the gameplay. Use the soundtrack option so the music could be better. Make the create-a-wrestler more organized. I had to return this game to THQ because it sucked that bad. I'd like to keep the next one.

Overall: Before i begin, i would like to say that i am a world wrestling federation fan but that will not change my mind about the game, i will be straight in my review. Let's begin ! When Raw was been release on X-box, everybody told me that was a bad game but in fact i was really enjoying this wrestling game. Have you ever saw a create a wrestler more updated than that, you can now do your own entrance : it's not anymore auto-programmed. Oh my god ! I can change the color of the light, move it and also put it down, it's hard to explain like that but if you try it you gonna understand. The big question over here its that why i give him a 4 if its one of my favorite game. Simply it's because the graphic, the gameplay and the sound are great but we are not talking about the lasting appeal, we got nothing to do after beating the belts ( i beat the women belt with Stone Cold Steve Austin ) and the game have a lack on the variety of the match. Where my cage match, the royal rumble or the ladder match ? In my mind two v.s two, one v.s one, triple threat match, tag team tornado, 3 v.s 1 it's look like all the same for me .
Gameplay: Amazing ! Some people say that the fan meter is boring, it's probably because they never played with a friends that always do a kick or a punch so if he do all the same moves the other character is stronger and he can beat his opponent faster. Ok sometimes its unfair, if i want to do five Last ride, why shouldn't i do it ? Some new add are great like the interference when you do your entrance or the wearing mod.
Graphics: Everybody is agree that Raw have the greatest wrestling graphic ever see on a console so i will not review this part much longer but in my mind, its need work on the character's faces.
Sound: Have you ever heard the old Undertaker song with Limpbizkit, i was too impress ! If you don't know some of the wrestling song, you will be impress as i was. Nothing to say more here because its a wrestling game and for the sound its always a short review.
Suggestions: Better faces for the character and what we all want : More different match !

Overall: Ok Look, First off it's Only FUN if you make your own personal charactor.... then after you woop !&%$@#* on everyone in the game which by the way they are all so freaking slow and whimpy... It gets OLD... SO i spend 90% of my time playing this only Editing / Creating new people. Making changes to old charactors I've made... Basically this is WAY WAY WAY Better than Legengs of wrestling.. this COMPARED to legends of wrestling it's a GOD.. Legends blowed big time sooo this isn't so bad... you won't find your self playing to play but you'll end up finding your self Editing people and making your own fantasy self on this or your real self.
Gameplay: Hmmmmmm I really hate vince and his Fag son shane or the whore daughter. so Not fans of the game or the tv show because of them
Hmmmmm It's already outdated in terms of current events since wwf raw doesnt exist. since it's now WWE.
So... you'd be better off playing a snowboarding game if you want to Edit people and / play as well. But I must say, this is infact better than the Spider-Man game. I'd rather edit charactors on WWF RAW than play spidey jumping doing the same boring moves....
Graphics: Hmmm looks wise, better i mean WAY WAY WAY better than Spideyman and the legends of wrestling and a hair under dead or alive 3... so not to bad.. I found some Arms and other things Blending into other parts Hense phantom images and ... it's some what fast put together which can be obvious... but for a FAST put together game Nicely done.. I also got a kick out of the 8 feet 11 inches tall feature you can make on them. HAHA. a riot.
Sound: MY GOD was that the MOST ANOYING part of the game!!!!!!!! CONSTANT constant constant repeditive Boring Midi like sounds in select / setup mode to durring game play... in my opinion it's better to KILL the BG sound all together you can hear them Breath and get hurt more... but then you tend to feel the bordom of the game with so much silence.. so it's crappy music or No sound.. you make the call.
Suggestions: HMMMMMMMMM Well the only thing that REALLY made me angry was the fact I couldn't use the SNOWBOARD in the game once i found the item i could not bring it in the ring later on... that was an Item you just had to find in a box... And as for other weapons.... my god wtf were you people thinking??? a SODA can as a weapon>?????? how lame.. OH also.........
Next time make Hats FIT on their heads / make them adapt to the hairstyle you have chossen.
And finding other things such as... Oh I suppose a Computer or Cd thats throwable to the throat... or Somthing more interesting than A Boring Plant in the game as a weapon..
Some of the weapons were sooooo lame. you might as well have given them Bras as weapons to hit their enemys with.. thats as hard as they were hitting with the Soda cans!

And maybe... OH make editing them on bodys more.. JUST a tad more optionable like the chicks chests.. hehe. plus a NUDITY option! i mean SHIT they have NUDITY on the TV show! why not a Cheat for the game?!!!

Overall: At first i was really excited about getting this game when i played it for a hour it did not live up to some of the other games thq and wwf have made together
Gameplay: the gameplay is the worst comparied to some of the other wrestling games. There is no story mode. It has no ladder matches, tlc matches cage matches and it gets boring after a while
Graphics: the visuals on this game are some of the most impressing i have ever seen.when the wrestlers enter the arena it looks like your watching the wwe in tv.but some of the wrestlers(hhh)look cheap and they walk like they lift 700lbs because the way they walk
Sound: the sound is o.k not the best but it is not the biggest thing wrong with this game but it could use some twiking.
Suggestions: i think thq should give the next game a better story mode and a better caw and the game should have more match types.

Overall: Ok, when i got this game, i was really excited about playing it, but after an hour or two, i was very disappointed, being the huge wrestling fan i am.
Gameplay: Gameplay is ok i guess, i like their options but that's aobut it...for some reason...their meters didn't work for me...it just felt strange playing this game compared to other wrestling games. But then, when i played multiplayer with my friends that was great fun! this game should be bought for multiplayer usues cause thats the only fun part.
Graphics: I love the intros, but when you get in the ring...for some reason...the visuals are bad. Could use some polishing on that and the way the wrestlings punch, walk, and kick don't seem natural.
Sound: Sound is ok, i still need to play this longer, but from what ive experienced, the sound is the best part of this game others than the intros.
Suggestions: Better graphics, more play options...hope to see some imporvements in raw 2
