I tried the first Burnout and I liked the idea of the game but found it lacked some certain things. They sure did make up for it in Burnout 2. Car handling is great."

Overall: Very fun game, great multi-player game as well as single player with tons of replay value, a must have for any racing fan!
Gameplay: I love to play this game in single player mode, it is a challenging game in single player. Multi-player is a must in this type of game, me and my friends go at each other, well I guess you can say we go after the traffic
Graphics: The graphics of the cars and environments are really realistic, however you don't really tell how good they really are because of the amazing crash scenes, there are tires flying off, buses flipping over, trucks jack knifing and so much more!
Sound: Its made by EA, need I say more. EA did it again, this game must be played in surround sound it is truly a great sounding game
Suggestions: Wish it was on Xbox Live!

Overall: a step up from the previous game... but in terms of gameplay it is relativly the same, but whith the original boasting some tof the best racing gameplay that is no bad thing!!
Gameplay: no giant leap forward, but still as good as the original... but with the extra tracks, cars, and live-stats... it guarantees many hours of fun.
Graphics: a good bit better than the first, nice reflections, and good shader quality... not really pushing the xbox to its limits, but still... giving it a fair workout.
Sound: much the same as the originals but with added tunes, and some extra fx sequences... it sounds as good as the great sounding original!!
Suggestions: live....

Overall: When you were playing the first Burnout, if you hit a gaurd rail, your car would start to skid and then you would stop, lose a few positions and your turbo that you worked so hard for. But now in Burnout 2: Point of impact, if you hit a gaurd rail, sparks will fly and you'll keep your position and your turbo. But if you slam the gaurd rail to hard, you might end up crashing. Burnout 2 has an excellent assortment of cars, and even a custom series version of each car! The damage modeling on the cars is totally been updated with wheels able to fly off you're car and glass shadering and spraying the ground and everybody is ending up to have their cars towed to the junkyard. Burnout 2 also has an all new crash mode! You knew that the awesome damage in Burnout could not be hidden. I couldn't resist just once in a race, slamming my beautiful car into used parts. There are over 20+ intersections and that means you'll have plenty of fun with your car and the civillian traffic. There are no limits in this game! I can still remember. I took my hot rod on a snowy mountain day. I headed towards the oncoming traffic. I hit the nitrous button and slammed into a pickup truck. I went sailing through the air and bounced off the roof of a car. After I hit that car, it was over the cliff for me. I went sailing down the mountain and rolled a "couple times". I got a sweet high score. Yes, Burnout 2 is a perfect game. I think that Acclaim has given us an excellent game. I think that the Burnout series has started something and many games will try it's ideas.
Gameplay: The gameplay is the heart of every game; and this game has a strong heart. With all the racing and crashing and making some enemies is all in a days work. The game is pretty cool and a cool game has excellent gameplay. You start off with the untuned version of a custom series car which you'll earn later. You may either win new vehiles by winning a race against opponents, or smash your car into other road traffic and rack up an insurance bill that will mke you go from a billionare to a hobo. Either way you play, you will always have something to get as a reward. There is multiplayer in which you and your buddy can take turns smashing cars and seeing who will go homeless first! Ahhhhh, life is good.
Graphics: The first Burnout had some pretty good graphics. But now, they are better than ever! You can actually see your vehicles glass go flying out of it's proper position and scatter on the earth below. You can see your car flipping through the air and you may even wince on impact.
Sound: In a few words, SSSSSCCCCCCRHHHHH! BBBBBBAAAAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!! That is what you'll hear when you hit another car. Nice soundtrack and all that. Yeah! I like it.
Suggestions: Burnout 3 is shaping up nicely. Keep it up!

Overall: this game was preeety cool, the wrecking into other cars was cool, it was a lot of fun to play with ur friends, was right behind halo in fun at my b-day party!
Gameplay: So fun, the races are oik, essential for unlocking new cars and such, it is preety fun, and i think that it is unrecognized, online it would be so fun challenbging other peoples to crash and see what theyu could do, but it did have scoreboards ;)
Graphics: visual, it was average, nothing spectacular, so it gets an average score, a 3, that is what it deseves. nothing compared to PGR2!
Sound: sounds is ok, hearing the glass shatter and ur car skid is SUHWEET! The sound was surprisingly good@

Overall: For the basics, read the original Burnout reviews. The only real differance here is more cars, more tracks, but best of all, more events. The sequel takes the origins of the games madness, and stretches them further.
Gameplay: The gamplay is almost the same as the original, plus new features such as a mode where you cause as much damage as possible, with the largest crashes and pile ups. Faster, longer, and better oveall. Multiplayer is still a bawl.
Graphics: The graphics aren't much different to the original. Sadly there is once again no Xbox optimisation. Although it runs smooth, the game still suffers from inferior graphics due to its PS2 origins, the saving grace is still its spectacular crash physics engine.
Sound: The sound is much broader and fitting this time, the soundeffects are better, but the whole thing is still at a loss for Xbox's Dolby Digital function.
Suggestions: Again this game packs an immpressive punch, but it is by no means the best driving game on Xbox. Project Gotham2 anyone?

Overall: This is an addictive title for sure. I can't seem to put it down. The game presents a challenge while testing your skills on the Xbox Live leader boards.
Gameplay: Great Gamplay with many different types of play. Theses include mult, crash (ram your car into other traffic and try to get the highest $$$ in damages you can), and the racing is more than fun as the more dangerous you drive, the better you do.
Graphics: Visiuals in this game are qutie good. Things are crisp with a good lack of jaggies. There are times when you are moving so fast that it is difficult to see what is comming ahead of you.
Sound: Sounds are GREAT... Custom soundtracts are the best and one of my favorite things is when you hit the boost, your music gets louder.

Overall: Amazing once again. This game is all of the original and a bag of chips. I mean it had everything in the first, plus everything the first was missing. Better speed effects, better sound effects, better crashes, and more gaming modes to improve its overall replay value! These developers knew they missed something and corrected their mistake.
Gameplay: So much an improvement over the first it had a better variation in modes. Including:(and I quote)"Hot stopping chases in police pursuit mode, 30 all new levels with weather effects, learning to drive in offensive driving school and crash mode." With all this it was a 110% improvement over the originals replay value.
Graphics: Visuals were much better. I love the way the visuals warp when you hit turbo to give the effect of major speed. One of many visual improvements that made this game differential enough to buy.
Sound: The sound was overall just as so much the same as before. The only exception being the way the music speeds up. Whenever you hit turbo boost...The music speeds up to give the effect of going fast. Another thing I happen to love about the improvements made to the game. I havent felt speed like this in any other game that comes to mind.
Suggestions: Keep up the good work and keep improving.

Gameplay: Drive cars, try to cause or avoid accidents, chase other people or run from! Modes like pursuit are great where you can drive a cop car!
Graphics: AWESOME graphics! You see reflections and everything and the crash effects are amazing! They did a fantastic job on it!
Sound: Very good and crisp sounds. Music is iffy but I still thing its very nice. Crash sounds are cool ! Who doesnt like the sound of scrapping metal.

Overall: F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C game, much better than that CRAP Racing Evoluzione where the others have some magic boosters under theirs boonets and your car is the only one that hasn't F@$#% that !!!!! In Burnout2 the physics are much much better by far...
Gameplay: Very simple and useful, I would like more options on the controllers, specially when you wanna drive a manual car, the shift down(Y)is a bit far away on the top right button. but still much better than that other CRAP game previously mentioned on my review.
Graphics: PERFECT really good job guys !!!! the collisions, the enviroment, everything really good, specially the colisions !!!! excelent job
Sound: very good sundtrack, and even better 'coz you can lsten to your music, custom sondtrack. can't be better than that !!!!

Overall: Burnout 2: Point of Impact is an arcade style racer that features over the top driving, and spectacular crashes!
Gameplay: The game isn't like your normal driving games. In this game you take risks, drive at high speeds, and crash big. There are many modes of play including multiplayer. You can go in a single player main mode or go into the best part of the game, which is the crash courses. In these there is usually a traffic situation and you must cause as much damage as you possibly can. The chain reactions of the cars rock, and the crashes are so much fun to watch and see what you destroyed.
Graphics: The visuals are a big step up from the first. The cars look better, The environments are larger and more detailed, and the crashes have been improved. Everything looks very good.
Sound: The sound is great too. The sound effects for the crashes are great. You hear the cars grinding together and things cracking and breaking.

Overall: Let me preface this review by saying that I HATE racing games. I absolutely can't stand them. Furthermore, for me to play any game for more than a few hours is rather impressive (with just a very few exceptions). So a racing game that can interest me for more than an hour is a truly amazing feat. Though this was probably not my favorite game on the box I am going to rate it a five based on the simple fact that I have never enjoyed a racing game this much. That said, true racing fans might not appreciate this game as much if they are expecting anything close to simulation, as that it is most definitely not.
Gameplay: I have yet to seriously delve into many of the game modes, such as championship or time trial, but the true gems are the crash levels. I have probably spent more than an hour trying to get a higher score on several of these levels, trying a myriad of destructive possibilities. Even the racing itself is enjoyable, which is quite a surprise: the numerous and varied ways to earn "boost" (essentially by driving poorly) means that the race will go to the most reckless, rather than the most careful and studied. Don't be mistaken, skill is still very much required, but not the mind numbing exactness needed in games like GT, and Rallysport.
Graphics: The visuals are quite good, especially the natural landscapes: the textures are vibrant and clear. That said, cityscapes can be blocky and less detailed. Pixel and vertex shaders are frequently used, and shiny/reflective surfaces abound, which while nice at first can become rather tiresome. The cars themselves are not terribly detailed externally, but this is more than made up for by the crash effects animations. Crashes seems real enough to be believable, and yet still are exciting enough that it is practically reward enough to justify losing the race just to plow into the back of an eighteen wheeler at the middle of a crowded intersection. Windows break, cars crumple and bend, bumpers fall off, and wheels even roll away. It does seem that the hood ALWAYS pops off, but that is easily forgiven. In conclusion the graphics are very satisfactory, and do what is needed very well, but it is hardly all that the Xbox could handle.
Sound: What is there to say about the sound, except that it is immersive, as I never really noticed it. I can say at least that crashes sound very good.
Suggestions: I love crash mode. This game would be worth it even if there was only crash mode. MORE CRASH MODE = MORE ENJOYMENT.

Overall: Had to drag this game down, i love halo, but this game seems kinda, well pointless, so i had to give it the worst rating because i dont think that a crash mode is soo cool to the point that it outbeats many other games, and not even that but beats out Halo.
Gameplay: nf
Graphics: graphics that i wished had something more than the low quality, with this game they should have had it be very high def, like 1080i or at least 720p

Overall: This game is just another racer that thinks it's totally separate from the rest of the genre, even though it's the same.
Gameplay: Good controls, A fun game, most racers like this are fun, not enough variety in things to do, A crash mode doesn't set this one that much apart rom other racer's anyway.
Graphics: Decent at best, Kind of bland actually, even though this is the Developers cut, which is supposed to be so much better.
Sound: Needed more sounds, everything was kinda generic, like most other driver's so this category is ordinary juist like the others.

Gameplay: You choose you car and then race three other cars. There are also other modes like pursuit and crash which are pretty fun.
Graphics: This game is pretty good in the visual aspect. All the car models look nice and the cities and towns you race through look quite realistic.

Overall: Tons of stuff...cars are sweet, though not liscensed, and the custom series kicks ass! This game is great...why? THE CRASHES! Its so awesome when the camera slows down, glass is flying everywhere, my bumpers/tires/front half of car are sliding across the road, buses are causing huge pile-ups...sweet.
Gameplay: The controls re arcade style, but the game is super cool. I dont think it was made for driving realism, but the crashes are pretty !&%$@#* impressive.
Graphics: Graphics are good, car detail is great, scenery is ok, traffic isnt blocky like on NFS, but Rallisport Challenge is still #1 in the graphics department.
Sound: Custom soundtracks arent mentioned on the box, but they are there, so no worries. The crash noises are realistic, and the boost (its not a gay-Mario kart boots, either) is badass.
Suggestions: Nope...maybe have a mode where I can be chased by police, more cars, more custom cars, let me make my own decals, let me customize raise, tires, rims, ect. Good job guys! Keep it up! Crash mode is genius!

Overall: An absolute blast! Numerous modes... championship, crash, single race, multiplayer... and every single one of them is so amazingly addictive! Lots of tracks and vehicles to unlock. This is definately one of those 'ok, just *1* more go' games... and before you know it, it is WAY past your bed time! :-) Don't trust anybody who gives this game a bad review, they're probably just a Halo fanboy trying to get that game back to the top of the charts!
Gameplay: Drive like a lunatic. Race against on-coming traffic, cause over the top crashes, etc. Controls are well done and, if you like Rallisport/Project Gotham then you'll be very much at home. This is a pure arcade style racer with realism thrown totally out the window. And the speed is incredible... whiz down a highway at on coming traffic with your finger firmly pressed on the boost button and it is such a rush as you miraculously miss trucks and buses by a whisker.
Graphics: Graphics are probably not as good as some other racing games but they look good to me, and, when a game moves this fast you don't have much time to admire the scenary anyway! No slowdown noted whatsoever.
Sound: Hard to be that creative with a racing game in my opinion. But the sounds that are there do the job nicely with horns honking madly from cars as you race directly towards them.
Suggestions: I don't have X-Box Live yet but I guess when I do, the lack of multiplayer via that seems a shame. But maybe with a game this fast it just wouldn't cope? Otherwise, a near perfect game and a definate keep for my collection.

Overall: Well, this game is all about the street racing. Not much else. It has everything a classic racer needs, and would ever want. I can say, that this is one of the best racing games I have ever played since the old PSX days of NFS3. It's amazing how the racing game industry has changed, and how it hasn't.
Gameplay: Wow. This is the perfect word for the gameplay. I was atonished on how tight and how great the controls were. Even with my racing wheel, it was a pleasure playing. The Boost aspect makes for a fun experience as you can almost have a nitrous oxide feeling as you catch up to an unsuspecting leader. The different types of gameplay is fun too. Pursuit is a favorite of mine. Having to chase down, and damage a car is amazingly fun.
Graphics: This has to be one of the best racing games visually. I have yet to see many racing games beat this one. The tracks all inter-twine with each other, and makes for great fun. All the maps are beautifully done. Executed with a perfect thumb. The cars are quite the eye catchers as well. I was shocked that a game could keep the cars so crisp and clean.
Sound: The sound was good. Music is decent, but totally rocks as you go into Boost mode. The volume change makes you get intense and want to weave and stafe. Quite impressive.
Suggestions: Maybe add full Live support. That's about it.

Gameplay: The motto of this game should be: Speed kills, but can also be fun. The faster you go, the more of a rush you get, this game will give you a hell of a rush!
Graphics: Although originally a PS2 game, the Xbox version looks great! The cars have reflection mapping and the framerate is great. Also improved over the original are the crashes, you have to see them to believe them!
Sound: The metal crunching, tires squeeling, horns honking, everything sounds awesome. You can almost feel the crashes. And the Xbox lets you use your own music which is a huge plus.

Overall: Burnout 2 is one of the fastest racing games on the Xbox, if not the fastest. The Xbox version is the best version, so the developers say, and gave it the "Directors Cut". The game has various gameplay modes, like &ot;, "Time Attack", "Crash Mode". The game does have live support, but only for stats, which is a bummer, but the game is so much fun, that you forget about it.
Gameplay: Wow, there's not really enough to say about the game. Great racing game, very fast. A lot of unlockable cars. Out of the gameplay modes, in my opinion, the best one by far is crash mode. I rented the game just to play it, actually. It's a blast, and can be very challenging. You have to go into a interstate, road, cliff, etc. to cause as much damage as possible. The bigger the object you run into, the more damage it will cause. In racing, you can get boosts by doing a few tricks that you learn when you first start game game. If you drive on the wrong side of the road, your boost meter will go up slowly, if you go past a car closley, but don't hit it, your boost meeter will rise, and the same if you get air, and turning. Time Attack is pretty easy to understand.. beat the clock..and win. After all those, you still have Championship, where you race and unlock cars, such as the hot rod, police car, and a bunch of others. Though it's called championship, you might think it was all races, but it's not, you sometimes have to do be a cop, and try to stop people which is always fun.
Graphics: The graphics are !&%$@#* good in this game, the cars, road, enviorment all look fantastic. The crashes are nice, because mostly all the parts come flying off, you can see the glass shaddering, the tires rolling off, hoods and doors flying, it's great.
Sound: The sound in the game is pretty nice as well. Decent soundtrack, and you can also use custom soundtracks as well. But perhaps the best feature is Dolby Digital 5.1, it just makes the sounds in the game like crashes, beeping, all realistic, and kind of cool to hear behind you, infront of you, etc. Well, it kind of makes you feel like you're actually on the road, I think.
Suggestions: Hmm..great game. Maybe Live support next time? ...WITH TRAFFIC!

Overall: This game is amazing! With bigger better tracks, enhanced visuals, more dramatic crashes, blisteringly high speeds, more features and stunning visuals... This is more than just a sequel. It offers the best multiplayer racing you'll ever find on the Xbox. By driving dangeruosly you are rewarded with burnouts that take give the word "speed" a whole new meaning!
Gameplay: This game is fast and furious. This game is an arcade racer so the cars are simple but extremely fun to drive. The AI has been tweaked so now they are unpredictable and can be a lot harder. The traffic has also been taken up a notch so that it acts more realistic. The sense of speed is amazing, reaching speeds up to 200+mph

The addition of the new modes like "Crash" and "Pursuit" make this game a must own. Also getting burnout's is a lot easier because you can fill up your meter by driving dangerously.
Graphics: the graphics are so much better in Burnout 2 than in the original Burnout. The cars look more realistic than before. The games lighting effects and reflections off the cars are the best in any racer on the Xbox. The sun shines off of them into your eyes. The road also looks more realistic with sun shining off it.

The game still looks amazing at even the highest speeds. The visuals in this will be hard to match seeing as it achieves all that at a lovely 60fps.

The only slight niggles are when you crash and go off course into the grass you can see they didn't pay much attention to making it look good.
Sound: The soundtrack is pretty good but could be better. That's why they let you rip your own soundtracks for the game.

The cars sound realistic with the better cars like the custom cars making a hissing sort of sound when changing gears, like in the Fast and Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Where the game excels in sound the most is the burnouts. When you've filled up your meter and hit A you hear a cool sound as your car reaches crazy speeds. Also the music gets louder making it a lot funner to get a burnout.
Suggestions: More tracks. The game has 15 tracks but some are shortened versions of another. In total the game has 30 tracks but half have just been mirrored.

More jumps. I have only found one reasonably good jump and that's on Palm Bay Marina where you drive up the stairs. That's just not enough... I'd love to be going 200mph and hit a massive jump sending me flying over a bridge with a traffic jam on it.

Overall: This is one incredibly addictive arcade racer. I'm giving this score based on multiplayer experience only because I haven't even touched the single player game. I sat down with my brother yesterday for a marathon of exciting arcade racing via Burnout 2. If this game didn't have a single player game I could care less, the multiplayer mode is worth the purchase by itself.
Gameplay: The crash mode is a lot of fun but can become frustrating after a while. Mainly because most of your time is spent sitting there waiting for the level to load or sifting through the stats between each round. Plus you can only play a 3 round game at a time. The actually crashing and trying to figure out which way is the best to cause the most damage is a blast.

The racing mode is the best mode especially on tracks with a lot of cross traffic. I never thought trying to dodge oncoming and cross traffic while doing 100+ MPH could be so much fun but this game does it right.
Graphics: The cars look good but aren't quite as detailed as some other games but the solid framerate and the large amount of moving objects going on in the surroundings more than makes up for it. The crashes are a sight to see with a blurred slow motion effect to emphasize all the havoc.
Sound: User soundtracks are supported which is a huge plus. The car sounds are decent. Really, I was more focused on what was happening on screen that I could've cared less about the sounds.
Suggestions: More options in Crashmode.
