Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Overall: This game is amazing! With bigger better tracks, enhanced visuals, more dramatic crashes, blisteringly high speeds, more features and stunning visuals... This is more than just a sequel. It offers the best multiplayer racing you'll ever find on the Xbox. By driving dangeruosly you are rewarded with burnouts that take give the word "speed" a whole new meaning!
Gameplay: This game is fast and furious. This game is an arcade racer so the cars are simple but extremely fun to drive. The AI has been tweaked so now they are unpredictable and can be a lot harder. The traffic has also been taken up a notch so that it acts more realistic. The sense of speed is amazing, reaching speeds up to 200+mph
The addition of the new modes like "Crash" and "Pursuit" make this game a must own. Also getting burnout's is a lot easier because you can fill up your meter by driving dangerously.
Graphics: the graphics are so much better in Burnout 2 than in the original Burnout. The cars look more realistic than before. The games lighting effects and reflections off the cars are the best in any racer on the Xbox. The sun shines off of them into your eyes. The road also looks more realistic with sun shining off it.
The game still looks amazing at even the highest speeds. The visuals in this will be hard to match seeing as it achieves all that at a lovely 60fps.
The only slight niggles are when you crash and go off course into the grass you can see they didn't pay much attention to making it look good.
Audio: The soundtrack is pretty good but could be better. That's why they let you rip your own soundtracks for the game.
The cars sound realistic with the better cars like the custom cars making a hissing sort of sound when changing gears, like in the Fast and Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Where the game excels in sound the most is the burnouts. When you've filled up your meter and hit A you hear a cool sound as your car reaches crazy speeds. Also the music gets louder making it a lot funner to get a burnout.
Suggestions: More tracks. The game has 15 tracks but some are shortened versions of another. In total the game has 30 tracks but half have just been mirrored.
More jumps. I have only found one reasonably good jump and that's on Palm Bay Marina where you drive up the stairs. That's just not enough... I'd love to be going 200mph and hit a massive jump sending me flying over a bridge with a traffic jam on it.
