This game reminded my a lot of the Quake series, not for how it looks, but how it plays! This is all good, cartoons duking it out, with large axes (my fav), gunships, mini-guns, black holes (hole of death as I like to call them) and much more. At first I thought this games was way too fast, but after a while I got used to it."

Description

Cel Damage is a frantically paced, cel-shaded cartoon car combat game with 12 levels set in four popular cartoon themes. There are 10 playable cars and 36 different weapons and power-ups. We have built our cartoon universe on top of a state-of-the-art soft-body physics engine, providing players with a highly interactive environment. In every level, players can roam freely, interact with set gag pieces, perform stunts and whack the heck out of their opponents. Our "living cartoon" game universe allows for outrageous emergent behaviors to come through during play. Using an original rendering technology developed at Pseudo Interactive, we are able to give Cel Damage a very stylish cartoon look.

Overall: Cel Damage is a frantically paced, cel-shaded cartoon car combat game. This game is really fun and a great party game that can bring hours of fun. The game is simple yet it has the intensity of watching a fast-paced hockey match. A unique experienced that should be enjoyed by all who play the game.
Gameplay: Nothing too fancy. Get your weapon and go reak havoc. Very addicting game that is just too fun and the multiplayer is awesome.
Graphics: Not a fan of cel-shaded graphics but it looked good, nonetheless. The graphics didn't take away from the gaming experience, yet it didn't add any elements to the game. But this is not what makes the game a game so its not a big deal. I liked how some of the environments were interactive.
Sound: A little too cartoony for my tastes but that was the focus on this game. There really is not much more to say about the sound.
Suggestions: Overall a good job but nothing epic about this game. Of course that wasn't your intentions but whatever.

Overall: This game might be lacking in some areas, but I present to you that the most important aspect of the game is covered very well (that being the fun value). There is nothing like whipping out Cel Damage after some serious Halo playing to calm the gameing fever between friends.
Gameplay: The gameplay in this game is what makes it such a party game. The fast paced, total destruction in this game is inconceivable. With a compleate arsenal of weapons, you can make your choice of how to destroy your friends (nothing like chopping the opponents to peices). Not to mention the unlocking of the master charaters for an added bonus. Overall this game presents a lighter side to your gameing collection.
Graphics: Visuals in this game are differnt than most other games, as it is cell shaded. This is when realistic looks are not what the creators are going for. In this game the cel shaded graphics really go well with the 'fun' basis of this game.
Sound: Sound in this game isn't anything to wonderful, but my honest feeling is that the sound in this game doesn't detract from the gameplay. It is there just enough to add the effects that the game needs without being impowering.
Suggestions: There are some serious things that could have been done to add to this game. Xbox Live would have had some SERIOUS sweetness, but wait it was made by the all crappy EA :) no live for them. Custom soundtracts would have allowed some fun, being able to kill your friends while hearing your favorite tunes, would have been awsome. This most certainly needed more charaters/levels.

Overall: I think that Cel Damage is an excellent game to play with your friends when you want to relax. The game is mostly comical and can provide hours of fun.
Gameplay: Gameplay for cel damage is fun and easy. And since the game is based around all cartoons and using some of the most famous cartoon tricks, it provides a relaxing gaming experience.
Graphics: This game is mostly visual because of the colorful characters, levels, vehicles, and weapons.
Sound: The sound can be monotonous but it can also be very funny and entertaining with all the commentary and jokes flying around it adds to the excitment.
Suggestions: Needs to be more complex with huge levels and more weapons. But overall good job.

Overall: This game will get boring in a week tops. I Have nothing else to say except I should sell it back fast.
Gameplay: Gets boring in about 2 hours. Same weapons and reactions throughout the game, a little funny at first though.
Graphics: Good graphics, the cel shading was pretty cool, you know with the cartoons and all the colors with gizmos.
Sound: Sound was decent, I think I could make all those noises with my own voice "POW! KABOOM!" see how good I am.
Suggestions: Stay away from making a sequel.

Gameplay: If you need to take out anger on somthing play this game cuz thats all you do which is a good thing and theres tons of weapons.
Graphics: Awesome graphics its really neat how they did it they mad it like cartoonified 3-d. Its a really great game.
Sound: Cool sounds each character has some pretty amusing one liners and the weopans all make cool sounds and the different vehicles also.

Overall: Very fun game. Its a "Party Game" kinda like Fushion Frenzy, except not at all alike. Cel Damage, is a blast to play for at least a week, going for at least 2 or 3 hours a day. Its a must own if you have young children that want to play a fun game...
Gameplay: Just a bit above average, they needed more levels, all they have are 12 levels... Not enough, for extened game play. The game play modes are REALLLLYYYY fun! I love the game play modes, they really get you playing. they have 3 different game play modes, one is a FFA game, the other is a flag game where you collect 4 flags to your self, while fighting everyone else for them, then rush to a pole to score with the 4 flags and win the level. The 3rd game play is a Rally game, between 2 gates, you go back and forth as fast as you can killing the other players and avoiding death at the same time. You can play with up to 4 players, and the AI is really challengeng! Very well done, except for the lack of levels.
Graphics: Blah, its cel shaded, nothing amazing, if you have seen it before... And i haven't but its still good looking, but its not really impressive, if you look at the 'technical' side of it... Well done.
Sound: The sound is a very strong point in the game, i really loved the musical score to the game, the music was semi-simple but not at all boring or horrible, i really liked lissening to the tunes. The SFX, are simple but they do the job.
Suggestions: I didn't know this was on the Game Cube also?!.

Overall: it's a good smash-em-up title that accomplishes little else. drive your cartoon character over a "special weapon" box and hunt down other players to smash them to bits; then do it again. gets tiresome quickly.
Gameplay: it's starts out good. it's fast paced with plenty of action and things to look at. however, this doesn't last. it's non-stop repetitive action again and again and again ... the speed initially is a little fast, but after a few runs you get used to it, then after a few more it's actually slow and you find yourself winning easily. no AI adjustments depending on your gameplay. basically smash, smash, smash. there are way better games out there that do this genre a lot better.
Graphics: the cartoon look is done fairly well; but still holds way to much of the 2-d feel. background images are pixelated and fuzzy. other cartoons too often blend into the background and makes it difficult to lock in on them.
Sound: while not spectacular, it does make you feel like your sitting in front of the tv on saturday morning watching an actual cartoon. but it does get annoying after a little while.

Overall: This game is a great deathmatch game for gamers with a sence of humor. Game has a lot of weapons, humerous characters but not enouch stages. My review might sound as if I don't like this game but I really do like this game. I'm just trying to inform you guys about this game and what it has to offer. I give it high scores only because I think this game will amuse me for about another year or so, only because it has multiplayer DM.
Gameplay: Gameplay is good when it comes down to deathmatch but not single. AI characters are really challeging at some points and speed is at a good rate. Not enough multplayer options--Flag Rally,Smack Attack,Gate Relay (3)
Graphics: This game is Cel Shaded which means this game can build enourmous amount of stages, characters, vehicles etc. but it didn't!!!!! JSRF is Cel Shaded and it's easy to tell right of the top that they put hard work into that game. I guess the Cel Damage staff felt lazy and tired to amuse us.
Sound: Sound is great. characters sound wacky and the backround music is pretty cool. Theres a button which enables you to taunt your opponent which isn't really usefull.
Suggestions: Make Cel Damage 2 but make sure you spend at least 2 1/2 before releasing it out to public. This game can be BIG only if you use the SEXBOX to its full advantages and use it's hardrive well, as JSRF did.

Overall: It's a GREAT game for the people who like MarioKart sort of. Great Graphics & sound, Gameplay is easy to get use to for a beginner and an expert wouldn't have much leverage over you...so it makes it fun for everyone. I only recommend this game if you like those fighting vecicale type games. Otherwise it's a GOOD rent.
Gameplay: Great variety of weapons, great variety of characters to fit drivers certain needs (speed, acceleration, tht), and many options of fun for multiplayer(up to 4 people)
Graphics: Thew graphics are stunning. The game looks just like a real cartoon, you can tell a lot of time was spent here.
Sound: I love the sound for the most part. Expecially the creepy sound in the Transylvania level, it kind of sounds like something from link. Plus Foul Mouth is funny. The only slag is there isn't a customize my music option.
Suggestions: The game needs online support, and maybe options to change the length someone has to live after beating the game. Just more levels,

Overall: Looked cool with the cartoon graphics and I figured it would be a pretty fun party game. Didn't expect much more than that.
Gameplay: I rented this for an Xbox night at a friend's place. We had a great time whacking each other but there's really not too much depth in the game. Fun party game for a change of pace though.
Graphics: I really like the cel shading graphic look. I know a lot of people think it looks cheap but it appeals to me. Looked great.
Sound: The sounds are about what I expected, nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. This part of the game doesn't make it or break it in this case.

Overall: This game is nothing but fun.
If you enjoy Car combat games, and like them with a sense of humor, than this is the game to get.
Also, the opponent AI is very good, which really makes the game all the better.
Gameplay: The game play is a blast, either alone or even more so with friends.
If you think of this as a First person shooter with vehicles, which is tempting to do when first trying it, clear that from you mind. This is a game about choping, shooting, blasting, beating, etc. your opponents as quickly as you can.
Graphics: The Cel shaded characters and cars are nothing short of unreal. Even the weapons and background and obstacles all work vey well with no clipping problems, nor any slow down or lag, ever.
Sound: The music is sheer fun for the game, along with all vehicles and weapons sounds, along with the various lines that the toons say when shooting each other and/or being shot.

Suggestions: A job very well done, thank you.
My only criticism would be in that when trying to unlock all levels, etc. that there should be various difficulty setting levels for those people who are not as good at this kind of game.

Overall: Cel Damage.

This game is very fast paced and a times can get get very confusing.

At first it seems like its too fast and after a while it seems that there is a great need for that previously unwanted speed.

It has great multi player options, you can play with computers or with just your friends or with both at the same time.

The content of this game is minimal, with only 20 levels you can beat this game in no time.

There are only 6 characters to start and there are 4 secret characters, which in my mind wasn't enough

I would recomend a Rent, NOT A BUY, even though it is cheap in price.

Later Gaming....
Gameplay: Fun, good at short partys, can get addictave after about 30-40 mins, but then after 3-4 hours its lost its "spunk"
Graphics: PI did a real good job with the cel shading, its probably the best cel shaded game out there, but they spent more time on the cel shading then on anything else.
Sound: Alright, motor sounds can get annoying
Suggestions: More content

Overall: Easy to pick up and play, beautiful cel-shaded graphics, frenetic turbo-charged pace, loads of fun and a great party game, even for non-gaming friends. An under-rated gem, although probably not worth $50 for most.
Gameplay: Drive around kicking the crap out of each other cartoon-style! That's all there is and it's done very well. Cartoon physics and wacky weapons/characters are a riot. The gameplay is a bit repetative, but not overly so. There seems to be a lot of luck involved when you're first playing the game, but put some time into it and you will see that almost every character, weapon and level has it's own subtle (albeit simple) strategy and winning consistly requires skill and experience.
Graphics: Crisp, colorful and cartoony. The Xbox needs more simple, well-made games like this. Framerate is rock-solid.
Sound: Excellent sound compliments the game perfectly. Character voices are quirky and fun and often hilarious.
Suggestions: More levels, add some secret areas to each level, different types of multi-player play, and more power-ups besides weapons. Really looking forward to a sequel!

Gameplay: Ok, its fun at first, but when you start doing the same things over and over again the game gets boring. I think that a few extras could have been added.
Graphics: The graphics looked alright. They were about the best thing about the game, but again looking at the same characters doing the same thing over and over again just got old
Sound: Sound was good. There was plenty of taunts and funny words. The sound was pretty good in all of the levels

Overall: At first I wasn't crazy about this game, as a matter of fact, I returned it and exchanged it for something else. When I had the opportunity to repurchase it on E-Bay for $10, I jumped at it. Now that I've gotten into, it's kind of addicting.
Gameplay: It becomes more addicting the more you play. We're conditioned to be bummed out when we "die" in the average game, but in this title, you're expected to do dozens of time on each level. As soon as you accept this and get past the frustration, it's great. You then begin to strategize and the game takes on a whole new personality. Try it and you'll see what I'm talking about it.
Graphics: Great, cartoon graphics. It achieves what it sets out to do perfectly, that is, render television quality cel animation. The characters each have a personality and the frame rate runs very well.
Sound: Again, it achieves what it sets out to do. Great effects, especially in 5.1 surround. It puts you right in the middle of the action.

Overall: This is an awsome multiplayer deatmatch frenzy, with cel-shaded graphics, dangerous weapons, and a whole crazed crew of catoony freaks.
Gameplay: There are a few different modes to play in
1. deathmatch-Do I really need to explain to you what a deathmatch is?

2.capture the flag- You would never guess capture the flag could be so vilent(I can't spell) and brutal. The flags actually have legs and run around!

3. racing- Try to be the 1st one to get through 2 gates 10 times.
Graphics: The graphics actually look like you are playing a cartoon show! only sometimes when it shows the charactors up close it looks ok.
Sound: You will feel as if you are in the game! Each weapon has it's own sound. It is so crazy to hear bullets and spikes and misiles whizzing past you!

Overall: I think this game looked pretty good and it was cheap when I bought my XBOX, only 20 bucks. As soon as I popped this disk in I was laughing, good funny humor, I set up a new game (and was surprised and delighted to find you name your XBOX this way) but then it was downhill from there. A very confusing, hard, stupid game.
Gameplay: The gameplay is hard and the controls suck ass. I was getting killed every 5 seconds and it was annoying each time I dropped from the sky. I havent playied this game much.
Graphics: The graphics are stunning, and a new style of "cartoon realism" that I like, its like I'm watching looney toons. But this is all the game has going for it, sad to say.
Sound: Annoying as all hell, the music sucks and so do the characters voices who annoyingly taunt you constantly. Soon you hear all the lines they will ever say. BORING.

Overall: Twisted metal meets Warner Bros. This game is crazy with all the driving and killing going on.
Gameplay: Gameplay is quite addictive in a multiplayer setting. I did not get the enjoyment out of it in single player mode, as it got old quickly. You pick a character and race against others. Goal is to either complete X number of laps or get the most points. Points are awarded by killing the others. There are many weapons you can pick up for you vehicle throughout the game.
Graphics: At first I was skeptical on a cell shaded game, but this game was done very well. The cartoonish feel makes for a very polished looking game.
Sound: All the wacky sounds you would expect to be in a cartoon can be found, and it adds nicely to the game.

Overall: When I bought this game, I thought it would be a little dumb and boring. But I was wrong. This game was actually very fun to play and challenging. The weapons and characters were great and the sound blended in fine with the game. I had a lot of fun beating all the levels and multiplayer is a blast. In the game you can do modes such as smack attack, flag rally, where you collect flags. and a race where you have to go through gates. i think this is a great game to buy and it will last for a while.
Gameplay: The gameplay was the only thing thst was average. I thought the game was too short and there was not enough levels to make me want to play again and again. I liked the modes in the game like flag rally and the racing. There could have been a lot more modes in it though. The controls were very good for the game and that made the game more fun.
Graphics: The cartoon style graphics on this game are great! I liked the way the cars looked and how the levels were. There were no glitches or anything that made the graphics questionable. If you liked JSRF graphics, you will also be impressed by these.
Sound: The sound was good on this game. I liked how the characters said stuff after they attacked you. The music in the game blends in fine with the mood, which is fast paced and fun. All of the weapons make a cool sound when you use them.
Suggestions: Make a lot more levels in the game. There are only 12 levels and they are all pretty small. Also maybe make a one player mode where you go through missions or something of the sort. You made a pretty good game in the end.

Gameplay: The controls are easy to learn. I would recommend using cheats. There are lots of characters and lots of weapons to choose from.
Graphics: Really nice graphics. I like the shading. The little effects make the graphics even better. This looks like a real cartoon.

Graphics: The cartoon affect is.........different, I

doesn't mean it is just for babies.
Sound: I'm sorry, but the sound in this game is pittiful. The
music is terrible. And when you taunt your

Graphics: Stunning 3D cartoon graphics with some really whacky stuff going on.
Shower head that spits meteors (catch the pun?), plenty of sheep to kill, man eating plants, falling 100 ton weights, etc.
Sound: Soundtrack is a bit bland, could used a good techno-trance or jungle-breaks style of soundtrack. this game REALLY needs to have the customizable soundtrack option. :(

Overall: Everything about this game makes it look like a hit, but it's not. Cel Damage is a very hectic game filled with constant death and respawning. It's basically a smack fest with eye candy. It's controls are great and it's got everything to make a good game but the gameplay just doesn't live up what this game was fixed up to be. This is just good for a rent......it's not great but it doesn't suck.
Gameplay: Like I said before, the gameplay is nothing to brag about. When somebody attacks, you never see it coming. If the bull drives up and slices you in half with an axe, well, there's just no way to avoid it. Just keep driving and shooting and hope you're not attacked with an axe. The main reason because of this si how fast this game is played. Players move at breakneck speeds and it's very hard to do quick turns and begin a chase.
Graphics: Graphics.....a huge plus to Cel Damage. As it's name implies, this game is Cel-shaded. What does this mean? It means that the graphics are made to look cartoony. The Wild Wooly West level is taken for exxample. The railroad tracks on this level look just like they would on a Bugs and Daffy show. There's no jaggies and everything is beutifully animated.
Sound: The characters are fairly funny. My favorites are Fowl Mouth ("beep you you mother-beeping of beep") and the bull ("long live vegetarianism" and "i hope my mother gives you E Coli!") Funny stuff indeed.
Suggestions: Slower.....much slower....an less focus on so much death. Wait awhile until the next loss comes...people dont have to die every three seconds.

you start, you're only given 4 tracks to choose from and one mode where you need to get 500 smash points before your opponents to win. Each zone has a different specialist: the vampire Count Earl in Transylvania, the lizard T. Wrecks in the Jungle, the bull Whack Angus in the Desert, and the alien Brian the Brain in Space. These characters can be unlocked by winning every level in their zone in every competition, but as of yet, I've spent too much time playing multiplayer.
Gameplay: Cel Damage isn't amazing to look at and it's gameplay isn't revolutionary, but the something about it that hooks you and makes you beg for more. Single player games are a riot, but the ultimate challenge and fun is going up against friends, making Cel Damage a perfectly designed party game.

After smash mode, players can gain access to my personal favorite, gate relay, as well as flag rally,
Graphics: The graphics in Cel Damage are extremely lacking. The animation is so fast that rendering fancy textures is a waste of time. The cartoony feel to the world even extend to the way drivers interact with the enviornment, meaning that if you go off a cliff, you fall with a zip and a cloud like Wyle E. Coyote.

So what? The graphics don't blow you away. The gameplay more than makes up for it and the cartoony and simplistic look to the game is not amazing, it fits the mood and feel of the game perfectly.
Sound: The sound and music complement the game wonderfully. Not only do your characters taunt each other with clever bards, but the sound effects match up to the visual style of the weapons. The only feature missing, like many of the Xbox games, is the ability to inport your own music. It would be extremely nice to be able to play the Desert to Will Smith's Wild Wild West or the Jungle to Guns N' Roses's Welcome to the Jungle. While it's something to consider, the gameplay is so involving that it's easy to forget what your listening to anyway, making custom music a moot point.

Overall: I don?t care what people say this game is fun but it can be total chaos sometimes by that I mean you don?t even know who?s who and sometimes you?ll be shooting blindly hoping you?ll score. But overall it?s a cool game.
Gameplay: Cel damage is sometimes funny and sometimes chaos. The game can also get frustrating and gets boring after you have unlocked everything and played the 18 levels over and over again. But its still fun if you make your own custom game types.
Graphics: The cel shading is done perfectly. But seeing as cel shading is a new technique there isn?t much to say about it I mean anyone who says these graphics are horrible is a moron. Because this is a new area in 3d graphics and I hope to see more in the coming months.
Sound: The sound is tailored to the game right down to the cartoony bonks and booms. The taunts are funny also. Cant say much about it other than that its all in sync and tailors to the game.
Suggestions: good idea behind the game but it needed more levels

Overall: OMG this game is so cool, i went played it before i bought it because i had mixed feelings about it but i can say, its one helluva game!
Gameplay: Th gameplay here rules, the cartoon style animations make the game just that much more interesting, and its a blast to mow someone down with ur minigun
Graphics: I originally thot the cel style shading wouldnt be that great, but it really works out in this game, its awesome, and everything looks great.
Sound: the sounds in this game are excellent, everything is smooth with the action and i never grow tired of the sound effects
Suggestions: More ways to destroy!

Overall: This game sucked! I took it back and got Amped! It was soooooo bad! It was like hitting yourself with a hammer ten times and watching a cartoon. The graphics were excellent, but everything else sucked.
Gameplay: Bad! The controls sucked too! DANG!

Graphics: Nice, but good graphics without good gameplay is like a good hammer, and no nails. That's all have to say about that!
Sound: Bad. That annoying music makes me feel like vomitting! I hate all of the music! I hate almost every song in that whole stupid game!!!
Suggestions: Grab a 12 gauge shotgun... pretend you're a pirate, and the barrel of the shotgun is a telescope... you know the rest.

Overall: This is a great game. I bought four games
with my Xbox (also Madden, Halo, and
DOA3) and I have played this game the
most!
Gameplay: A nice learning curve will let you keep
playing and playing. Unlocking new
features keeps you addicted.
Graphics: Looks like a Chuck Jones or Tex Avery
cartoon. Lots of fun cartoon effects from
when "cartoon violence" was in its
prime.
Sound: Sound effects are fun, especially the
wacky comments from the drivers. The
soundtrack has not annoyed me to the
point of turning it off.
Suggestions: Soundtrack compatibility.
