Overall: Outlaw Golf is by far the best golf game with respect to game mechanics available in the market today. It has a blatantly unique style, sense of humor (for those of us who are not golf nuts and do not like Golden Tee) and plenty of unlockables to keep you coming back.
Gameplay: Like I mentioned in the overall description, the game mechanics of Outlaw Golf are well thought out and, with minor irritations from the controls of the adjustable camera, incredibly easy to use. The game comes with plenty of tutorials to get you through how to play, so the learning curve isn't too bad.
Graphics: The visuals of Outlaw Golf are for the most part nicely done. It makes excellent use of the rendering capabilities of Xbox, especially considering that this is a golf game. There are definite good textures. My only gripe might me that at times, the branches of trees can be thoroughly misleading.
Sound: Each golfer has his/her own personality and voice. The voice acting is great and the sound effects are great. You can feel the crack off the tee. Unfortunately the announcer gets repetitive and annoying after a short while--but you can turn him off.
Suggestions: What happened with Outlaw Volleyball? I almost purchased it (before I rented it instead) on the merits of Outlaw Golf and was thoroughly disappointed with how the license carried over into a very mediocre game.

Overall: Overall i give it a 4.5 because it is a good spin on a golf game and has a good twist on the controls you use. But golf fames arn't my thing so it loses points there.
Gameplay: I thought this game was really fun if you wanna play a golf game that isn't traditional. And i really like how you use the joystick to hit the ball. It's like golf games in bars where you need a steady hand.
Graphics: Nice looking game. Very crisp looking surroundings and a good spin on the character designs for a golf game.
Sound: It's got perfect sounds for this different style of golf game. Not much more a golf game could have.

Overall: this game was really cool. awesome idea for a game. first of all because you get to beat up your caddy, and second of all i think its the only golf game for xbox.
Gameplay: the gameplay was great. the controls were very simple... but not at first. when i first played it i had no idea how to swing or anything. but after you play it for a bit, you get used to them really easily. BEATING UP THE CADDY WAS AWESOME.
Graphics: visuals were perfect. the graphics couldnt have been better. thats pretty much all i have to say about the games' visuals.
Sound: sound was ok. i really really really liked the fans and how they laugh at you if you suck. that was hilarious. but some of it wasnt good. overall it was above average.
Suggestions: hurry up and put out outlaw volleyball!!!!!

Overall: I love this game truly one of the best golfing games ever put out. I loved the dialog and they cut scenes.
Gameplay: The controls are a little tricky at first but once you get use to them it is no problem. Use the tutorial it is a big help.
Graphics: Graphics are good here. I love the action that goes on around you and they real time they keep it. The animations move fairly well to.
Sound: Commentary from they charaters are funny and fairly clear. You are able to hear and understand them easily.

Overall: Fantastic! Normally I can't stand to watch golf or play golf games, but I played the two-hole demo in Official Xbox Mag and couldn't put it down.
Gameplay: Great humour, physics and controls. The characters are really entertaining. Love how you can taunt the other players, but I wish you could play multiplayer in tour mode. I can't wait for other games in the series.
Graphics: Nicely rendered courses, though not enough of them. Characters are a little blocky and fight animation a little stilted.
Sound: Good effects and voice acting, but could use a little more variety in the commentary. Background music, though repetitive, is pretty good.
Suggestions: Widescreen please. And more courses. Expansion pack in OXM like DOA3?

Overall: Love the characters and the gameplay. The graphics are perfect, and accurately portray a golf swing. The addition of trailer trash personalities are definitely awesome. Not for little children.
Gameplay: Accurate portrayal of the game of golf, with many options, and variations of the game. The big problem is that the game does not have enough courses! We need at least 6-10 courses in order to extend the replay cycle.
Graphics: Just awesome. By far the best looking golf game I have ever played and this includes all the Links versions for the PC.
Sound: Sound is very good. The big problem is not the quality, but it becomes very repetitive. I get tired of hearing "oh, there must be something going on at home!"
Suggestions: More courses, more variation on the commentary. Just give us more of the same thing!!! Also, I find it very difficult to hit 25% or less. You should be able to adjust the meter so that you can hit something a little higher. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, tell us what % we actually hit.

Overall: This is the best golf game ive ever played, its the only one that makes me want to come back for more. Outlaw golf has many things going for it: a great swing mechanism that is much more satisfying than the old style 3 button method, excellent ball physics, terrain, and wind effects, it has great looking courses, multiple game types for variety, plus funny commentary. I mark it down for stereotyped characters that often were duds, (some funny stuff too though) a putting scheme i liked but was a bit too easy too make long putts, i bet i make 4 out of 5 putts of 20 ft length, and finally not enough courses. Still the overall experience easily outweighs the negatives for a very solid title.
Gameplay: I really like the swing mechanism. You pull back on the thumbstick too hit for power, move it foward for aim. The straighter the better, hooks and slices are severe in this game. There are plenty of options for controlling everthing in your hit, spin for the ball, arc of the shot, wind conditions, it all makes for a unique experience for every shot.
Graphics: The courses and terrain were very well done. The terrrain was especially well rounded, very realistic ball movement on the terrain. Characters were a bit blocky, jaggy, kinda ugly. I found the commentary much better than the characters. I liked the ball effects when you hit it well, satisfying too see that, good reward, same with camera angle switching when the ball is going to hit very close to the hole.
Sound: Sound was good,

Suggestions: I would like real celebrities instead those characters, like mr T, or the kool laid guy, or anything that people already know. The jokes could be much better than. More courses, online might be very good for this game.

Overall: Why my cousin is always buying sport game ? They all suck in my mind but this one was really attrative, i love to beat my caddy and playing that kind of golf.
Gameplay: I must admit that this game is really tough when you start but it the same as many game. After one hour i was able to kick my cousin's ass. Againt i must say that we can beat our caddy it's is too cool.
Graphics: Visual is aren't so great because i play it on gamecube and x-box, same version no difference in the graphic and the gamecube is really a shame in the gaming conosle.
Sound: Nothing great here and he can't put the custon soundtrack ! Defintly a must have for everybody fan a golf but not for me .

Overall: this game is already out, but there's a link to it in the excitement section, so i'm treating it like an excitment rating for when i do buy or rent it.
Gameplay: the video and demo from the OXM game looks like th fighting could be appealing, but the golf part controls and play didn't set well with me - this points toward a rental status.
Graphics: the visuals are good when they show those lovely ladies in the game, the golf course environments look fine as well. other than that, it looks average - again, this places it as a rental game.
Sound: i was not impressed from any demo's or videos i saw. this is always a tough part of the game to get down. this makes me not want to even rent it.

Overall: This was a good golf game. The characters were unique and the way you hit the ball was frustrating but made the game much more difficult.
Gameplay: The gameplay was good. If you hit the ball bad, then your composure would go down the worse your composure, the worse you played. The bring this back up, you could beat up your caddy , which is fun the first three times. One thing i really liked is when you put, you can hit x to see where your ball was going to travel.
Graphics: It was okay at best. It was normal graphics and certainly not what the xbox is capable of. It could have beeen better.
Sound: The sound is fine the crowd oohs and ahs at your shots and cheer when you beat the crap out of your caddy.
Suggestions: Not much. Work on your graphics and make it so that your can make your own character.

Overall: Its golf, but its golf that someone that doesn't care for the "sport" could play. The sideshow really increases the appeal of the game, and has had friends and myself laughing time and time again.
Gameplay: Underneath the sideshow, there is a very good golf game. The golf engine is one of the best that I've played in 15 years of gaming.
Graphics: The graphics definately take advantage of the xbox hardware. Trees and water looks great. The characters are animated extremely well also, all the makings of a great golf game.
Sound: The sound is great, but that is coming from my crappy sound system. The sound of the club hitting the ball and the different sounds depending on where the ball lands are very well done. The announcer can get annoying after a while, but that is a common annoyance with most sports games now.
Suggestions: More fight animations, more between-hole animations, and more courses. Oh, and maybe a few more characters. Add in some more phrases from the commentator, or add another commentator.

Gameplay: I thought you could fight other people, it turned out that you can only watch the player do some cheesy little move. Next time, let us kick other peoples butts.
Graphics: Pretty good game. Girls slapping other girs asses is a nice touch in the player selectin mode. HAHAHA

Overall: I fail to see the appeal of this game besides the fact that it's a 'rowdy' version of golf, and that strippers are golfers.

Gameplay: The gameplay is simple to pick up, I did like how the right stick controls your swing and shot power, unlike the older games where you just tap the button a few times to hit a shot. However, this style may be too easy, I was blasting at max club power perfectly straight shots after 5 minutes of practice.

The confidence meter is a waste. It doesn't seem to affect gameplay at all. I could be at the very bottom of the scale, and still blast perfectly straight, full power shots every time.

Caddy fights, while funny, only serve to pump up your confidence meter, which, as I just said, is worthless.
Graphics: Player graphics are great, course graphics are good, but other graphics (birds, trains, trees, etc) are poor. They look PSOne quality at times. Maybe it's because I played it on a huge screen, but they were pretty low grade.

Also, I picked up a lot of clipping on the rare occasion I hit a bad ball and it went into the trees.
Sound: Good sound, decent music. Golf in general doesn't exactly have a variety of sounds to go with it, even in 'reality'.
Suggestions: More courses, 3 is not enough. Design your own player. Make the confidence meter actually have visible results on your gameplay.

Overall: Over-the-top golf w/ wacky characters doing wacky stuff in between strokes. Fun premise hides great golf game, but antics become annoying after awhile.
Gameplay: In the end you really have to like golf to like this game. Beating on your caddies is fun at first, but is the only real difference between this and regular golf sims. Fairways are standard. Characters do not say and do enough, and get boring very quickly. You will skip past them to get back to the strokes which leaves you with only a solid golf game. I'm not that big on golf, are you?
Graphics: Very nice, sharp, detailed graphics, but cartoony. Compliment the over-the-top feel of the game well, if only the gameplay did.
Sound: I don't pay much attention to sound. Voice acting was fine, but could've used more variety. SFX were fine.
Suggestions: The premise was great, but you didn't do enough with it. More characters, more animations, more comments/dialog, more mini-games and make the fairways as over-the-top as the characters.

Overall: I've always liked golf games, but this one is the best of them yet. The strange characters add a lot of value to the game, but the golf engine is amazing.
Gameplay: You can play with up to three other players in different game modes. The controls may seem confusing at the beginning but once you get used to them they are great. It would have been nice to play less than 9 or 18 holes in multiplayer, as a 18 hole four player game can take up to three hours. And the beating mode is too easy. Combos would have been nice.
Graphics: Amazing. Games like this are the reason to buy a XBox. You can see very far, the details are great, the landscape beautiful. But the characters - mainly in the beating mode - are poorly animated.
Sound: Good soundtracks and great voices. There could have been more sound samples as they repeat soon.
Suggestions: More courses!!! More voice samples. Customizable tournament (pick your own hole). More interesting beating mode (doesn't have to be a DOA3 but not just one button pressed at the right time).

Gameplay: Great gameplay. Can be tough at first but not bad. The camera angle deal is a little funky at first but not bad once you get used to it. Great Physics engine too.
Graphics: Great graphics. From the people on the side to the "sexy" characters this game is visually appealing in every sense.

Overall: The character's are tacky and entertaining. The golf engine is the best I've ever played on. For us that aren't avid golf fans, some non-golf mini-games or some character interaction via a club house would have been pretty cool. I'd give this game a 5, but b/c it's gold, the action is not intense in multiplayer, and it's really golf or nothing. Just not a genre that deserves a 5 b/c of the few amount of players that would want to do this all the time. The cheekiness of the game does make it fun for people that usually wouldn't be interested in a golf game though.
Gameplay: The good and bad is that this game has a very realistic game mechanics. It's has an hour or three learning curve, and even then you'll go from an under par player to a double boogie on a bad streak.

The "in the zone" type of feature is sweet. The more confident your player, the more forgiving the game is on your swing. However, it's easy come, easy go. Beating your caddy (when you have a beating token), helps you recover your swing.
Graphics: Wow... the courses are sweet. The greens, and roughs... sky... water hazards. Everything looks real.
Sound: The commentator makes the game. His wit and sarcasm is great. You stil have the usual birds singing, the fans, the swing of the club. The players themselves (and caddies) have some cute lines too.
Suggestions: I had to return my game b/c after buying 2 copies, both gave me "CD read" errors at bad times. Buffer on the harddrive, or watch the quality of your burns. I'm sorry I couldn't get this game to last for me.

Overall: I want to love this game, really I do. Playing as a female stipper who slaps here friend on the @ss and jumps around is very entertaining. However the game has serious control issues for me. To hit the ball you need to pull back on the right thumbstick as the power goes up and then push up on the stick. Sounds good in theory, but if you don't push perfectly up on the stick your ball will curve. Which equals out to me not being able to play though one level of this game. I've practiced for hours, but my friends don't seem to have problems so maybe I'm just retarded.
Gameplay: Playing golf in videogames (unlike real life where you would be attacked by forest creatures) is very fun. The golf courses are designed well and there is a wide variety of attractions in the game with some fun "side games".
Graphics: The game looks good. And when you get Summer playing it and dancing around it looks really good! The grass looks a little chessy sometimes, but you won't be paying too much attention to that anyways.
Sound: The music and effects are good. The game could use more sound tracks as the ones that are here will get old after a few hours.
Suggestions: Change the controls! Or at least make it an option for those of us who are incapable of pushing up on the right thumbstick perfectly.

Gameplay: The swings are much more realistic then I would have ever thought. The ball realism is very solid too such as the spin or draw.
Graphics: I absolutely love the courses. So much variety and so many different shades and grass colors. The sun also was done well.

Overall: Ok i just want to say that this is one of the funnest games out there. If you liked Happy Gilmore get this game. If you didn't get it anyway.
Gameplay: This game has lots of different options. For example the driving range. and if you unlock something for one golfer and want it with another golfer you have to earn it with the other golfer. Also the multiplayer has lots of options and game types.
Graphics: This game has good graphics from the trees, to the cars, to the amusement park behing el Diabolo country club. This game has the added details to spice it up a bit. For example the amusement park and in Jersey Turnpike they have a highway over the course.
Sound: I must say that the sound in this game is one of the funniest things about the game. From when they do the flybyes of the course to after you get the ball in the whole.

Overall: This game has great potential. I love the graphics & the hilarious announcer, but the main thing that makes the game good isn't in this game. The gameplay is horrible, if you barely move the right-analog stick a milimeter to the right is slices like 50 feet.
Gameplay: As I said the gameplay is horrible. I hate the idea of moving the right stick back for power, & forward for swing. It should have the gameplay of Hot Shots Golf.
Graphics: Nobody can deny that this game has some of the best golf graphics. Every thing has such detail. Its too bad the gameplay messed it up.

Overall: Ok, here goes again, for some reason my earlier review of this games mysteriously disappeared... This game is lousy! It is not a golf game but a game that is so goofy and stupid that anybody that loves golf would not want to play!
Gameplay: There is no game play appeal. There are these stupid characters that do nothing for golf. If you have a really good golf game and you need one that is purely silly?then spend 50 bucks and get this game!
Graphics: Again, it looks pretty lame; it doesn?t even use any of the Xbox?s power. I have to ask did they make this game in a day or two?

Overall: Wow! I LOVE this game. It is absolutely the funniest golf sim evr! It makes Hot Shots look like a gathering of old golfers at the Augusta country club.

The graphics are great, the sounds are outstanding (I actually thought we had a bird in the chimney after hearing some on the Outlaw course!), the physics engine is amazingly realistic (and aggravating!), and the characters are original and hysterically funny!

All this, and if you are doing badly and getting frustrated, you can beat the crap out of your caddie to make you feel better and improve your game!
Gameplay: Gameplay is very frustating AT FIRST. The sheer humor kept me playing, and after about 2 rounds, I got the hang of it. It is DAMN addictive!
Graphics: Amazing graphics! The water, trees, grass, low flying planes, etc. And the players! Summer (and caddie Autmn), Trixie, and Mistress Suki give the DOA3 girls a run for their money!
Sound: Absolutely amazing! The wind, birds, planes and other background is like being there! And some of the comments are priceless! Summer: "I feel like I'm back at the porn awards"
Ice Trey: (rapping) "Golf's my bitch, Golf's my bitch, Golf's my bitch", "I jump, I twitch, I smack the ball just like my bitch"
Many more I'm sure I haven't heard! Mature, yes, low brow, certainly, but FUNNY!
Suggestions: PLEASE follow in the footsteps DOA 3 developers! I am refering to the add-ons they placed in the DVD with Official XBox Magazine, allowing more character costumes. I have a teenage daughter who loves to change their outfits. This could also be used to add more courses, clubs, etc.

GREAT GAME!

Overall: At first I wasn't too thrilled but I have learned to love this game. I think the gameplay is pretty good and the characters are fun. It took some time to get my swing down and putting is still very difficult from far away, but that's why they have mulligans, right? I would still like to see a serious golf sim for Xbox, but this one is great with a lot of features to make you want to keep playing such as unlocking characters and a ton of different game modes.
Gameplay: It was a little rough at first, but once I got used to it, I loved it. My only complaint is with the putting, but that's getting better as well.
Graphics: The graphics are GREAT! The water and the grass effects are amazing. And that Summer........ !&%$@#* !

Overall: I am a golf fanatic and I could not wait for the first XBOX golf game. And I will still have to wait. This game is fun, but not what I need. Give me Tiger Woods or Links.
Gameplay: Gameplay is good, but could have been alot better. In my opinion there is to much room for error. The hitting system hurts the game in my opinion.
Graphics: Look great, they did a real good job with animations and backgrounds. The game looks very good, what you would expext form the XBOX.
Sound: Bla, Bla, Bla, but what would you expect its a golf game. This game has corny music like you would find woth Hot Shots golf.
Suggestions: Just not my style, I need something more realistic. Remember this is not a bad game at all, its just not a true sports sim. If you want a sim don't by Outlaw golf. If you want a fun quacky golf game then this one is for you.

Overall: i think this game could of been way better then it is right now, after watching movies of it, it looked good, but after playing it i feel like it is missing things in its gameplay,it seems more like a regular golf game when you play it.
Gameplay: all you do is pull back on the stick and push up and you kepp hitting it over and over agian, it got boring after like 30 min.
Graphics: the water look a little good and characters arent great, but it is good and if not then just decent.
Sound: the sound does not stand out to me,like music. but sometimes sounds of hitting the ball are good and the players talk alot which is a good thing.
