Overall: Golf Horray slow and boring, they tried to spice it up, but failed, good job failures, I cannot stand golf anymore,
Gameplay: Hit ball move up hit ball, I swear they should make a special golf game that allows you to do more, explore the coures and such.
Graphics: Good, althought the faces are odd, enviroments rock, but I cannot get over the scary player design.
Sound: Ok clap clap clap clap clap decent, the hitting of the ball it the high point, but it's no reason to break out the 5.1

Overall: Amazing Graphics, Not sure you want to buy an X-Box? Show-em this game. I'm really glad to have a resource like this one so I don't have to buy a bad game.
Gameplay: I havn't played it a long time but I liked it enough to come here and say how much I like it already. The harder courses are more fun so I'm looking forward to more game progress. I understand they get harder as you go.
Graphics: The Visuals get a 5 all the way. Really outstanding. This I feel shows the power of the XBox.
Sound: There are birds, golf clapping and I especially liked the "quiet please" to get the rowdy crowd of golf clappers to stop. Sound is just fine.
Suggestions: Thank you for not giving a penelty stroke for delay of game when you have to step away for a bathroom break.

Overall: What makes a game 5 out of 5? For me, the ability to return again and again for pure enjoyment, the ability to play with friends online, and the ability to continually get better (and improve your character) so the first 2 points become even more enjoyable..
Gameplay: Well designed! Intuitive, with the ability to learn new techniques as you improve (just like real golf!) The Xbox live features are wonderful and the downloadable content ensures enjoyment for a long, long time.
Graphics: Stunning - A joy to play and watch. Character animations are fluid, "cut scenes" and transition animations are fabulous, courses are amazing. a quality visual game.
Sound: Great sound and effects, the announcers get repetitive, but you can turn them off when you're tired of them.
Suggestions: keep the downloadable courses coming (I like free better) - howabout additional downloadable wardrobes?

Overall: I'm not much of a sports game player but the demo on OXM got me hooked. Theres tons of modes and the skill points are well balanced. Think Tony Hawk.
Gameplay: This is the most fun sports game I have ever played. The career starts out easy but one you get to the later tours everything gets harder. The courses are more difficult, the wind is stronger, and the computer players play better. The one thing I dont like is when playing a skins tournament you cant skip watching the computer players shots. You can fast forward it but not skip.
Graphics: The graphics are amazingly good. The grass and trees look real. Your players motions are smooth. And the cool Matrix style waves around your ball when you hit a good shot are sweet. The only thing I dont like is the water. It just doesnt look right.
Sound: The sound is OK. It sounds real when you wack the ball but the built in music isnt that great. Definately a plus that it features custom soundtracks.

Overall: It follows the old links pc games. Game play is smooth. Lots of game types to choose from. Hidden clubs/balls/courses to unlock.
Gameplay: The club swing is spectacular. It works well with the spring on the Xbox control thumbstick. Lots of settings for beginner to pro.
Graphics: Good graphics. I wish the crowd moved more. You won't be disappointed in this department. Lots of camera views.
Sound: Good sound. Maybe a bit annoying after a while. I can not think of any improvements to the sound. It even calls your players name.
Suggestions: I wish I could speed the ball travel up when I am not the current golfer. My father plays and drags it out by not speeding up the shot view.

Overall: Before I start to review this game, some background. I own Tiger Woods 2003, Tiger Woods 2004, and now Links 2004. If you have ever played Links on the Computer, you will find Links 2004 for the Xbox to be very similar. You have just about every shot option you can want at your disposal, including 'blast' shots out of bunkers, which is one of the things that sets this game apart from Tiger Woods 2003/2004. The game comes with only 8 courses, which is a bit of a drawback in my opinion, but if they put lots of downloadable ones on the 'net then it may not be an issue. The biggest difference about this game from Tiger Woods is that it is far more realistic. I would call this a golf sim, whereas I would call Tiger Woods an Arcade Golf type of game. Both are great, but they are different enough that if you already have one, owning the other will give you totally different game play.
Gameplay: Gameplay for Links 2004 is very very nice. The controls are fairly straight forward, but not as simple as they are in Tiger Woods. One of the things that is nice about this game is that button mashing is not required. Simply aim your shot, and then try to get the power that you want on the power meter. You have far more control over your shots though in Links 2004 as compared to Tiger Woods, mostly because you have more shot types available. In addition, the control you have is more realistic. It doesn't appear to be possible to land the ball and spin it 90 degrees to the side like you can in Tiger Woods. I also find the game play harder in Links 2004 than in Tiger Woods, which is a GOOD thing. Shooting consistently around 50 out of a par 72 in Tiger Woods gets a bit boring.. just too easy.
Graphics: The visuals for the courses are nice. They are definitely more realistic than in Tiger Woods. Having played Grey Wolf in real life, I can tell you that it is very close in the game. The visuals for the characters are NOT as nice as in Tiger Woods. This is one of the areas that I think the game is lacking- they could have done a far far better job at creating the characters and making them more realistic. Also, you can create your own character in Tiger Woods 2004, making it look just like you if you want, whereas in Links 2004 the characters are stock models with only the clothing being customizable.
Sound: This is the biggest disappointment for me. The comentary is just plain horrid. It is very choppy, making it plainly obvious that they had different words recorded separately and then try to splice them all together into a sentence within the game. I am actually turning the comentary off it is so bad. Definitely better commentary in Tiger Woods.
Suggestions: Change the commentary. It is terrible. Absolutely terrible. The words don't even flow together, they have different pronounciations and different levels of sound. If you have ever listened to a phone service where it says "you have now pressed ONE." and the one sounds really goofy, well, that's how this game sounds when they say "He is going with a FIVE iron" or " has finished up with a PAR." Terrible. Add more options for character creation like in Tiger Woods. The character models are not very good. Very disappointing considering EA Sports has better character models than Links. Add more courses! Only 8 with the game? Give me a great, other golf games come with double that.

Overall: This is one of the best golf games i've played on the xbox yet. it can't get much better than this. If you love to play golf this is defiantly the game of choice.
Gameplay: The gameplay is outstanding it is so real and lifelike. The controls are easy to use and the selection of courses and players is great.
Graphics: You can't get much better than the visuals on this game it is awsome right down to the putting. It shows you every angle that it possibly can.
Sound: Sound is good. i really like the sound option you have of bringing in your own music on the game. It also has good commentary and audience sound it's like your actually in the game.
Suggestions: I can't see it getting much better than this, but if it does it will again be outstanding.

Overall: Fantastic golf game! Hours and hours of enjoyment with my friends over many beverages. Super courses, graphics, physics and FUN!
Gameplay: What I love about this game is it's not easy. I've played for hours with friends and haven't seen a hole in one yet. When the settings are windy with hard pin locations it's tough to break par.

The driving and putting are right on, excellent game physics and controls. I really can't say enough about this game, my favorite right now when playing with friends while having many brewskies . . . the hours zoom on by with many curses and laughs.
Graphics: The graphics in general are superb. Congrats to Microsoft on the great job they did in bringing this PC game to the 'box.

The courses themselves give you a real feeling that you've been there. The weather conditions are really nice, just an overall great looking game.

Sound: The sound is fine for me, it's a golf game after all. The crowd is fine, the anouncers actually surprise me sometimes when they say things pertaining to what happened earlier in the game. They'll start razzing you if you do poorly, pretty funny actually.
Suggestions: Congrat's on a great product!

Overall: Tiger Woods golf is for people who like the more arcadey side of golf. Meaning that if you wan to know the sensation of sinking a hole in one play Tiger you will do it and do it quite often. In Links if you luck up and get a hole in one, you will jump out of your seat and know that you just made a miracle shot. Just like in real life golfing. If you would rather have this sensation then you need to go out and get Links. Not only is it a great sim, it is a marvel to behold in all of it's green glory. I love Links.
Gameplay: This game requires you to have skill witht the analog stick. This is what you use to do everything and you must perfect your swing. There is no rapid tapping of buttons to have your shot go this way or that way, it is on you to hit the ball accordingly. I would suggest for the novice to employ the mulligan system. However, this need for reading the greens and the winds and determining what shot is best for you is what makes this game great. It becomes much easier once you get the hang of it and it is an enjoyable experience. The courses are nice and the ball physics are realistic enough. I really like the look of the flight of the ball when I nail a drive, it is an adrenaline rush.
Graphics: I always neglect this part of the review because I think it's obvious. It is on the xbox, it is beautiful. I get the feeling that I am on the course, on a beautiful summer day with Serg gettin' my golf on. The graphics really takes you there. I would say this is the best graphics on any of the XSN sports games.
Sound: It has custom soundtracks. I couldn't believe it. I golf to DMX, Prince, and Jay-Z. I love it. I know that some people won't like this but I think every game should consider having this as an option. Other sounds especially the club meeting ball sounds are extremely well done.
Suggestions: More courses. More golfers. I holla!

Overall: Links. This is the Golf Sim and now it is on the convienence of a console. Perfection, almost. First you'll only have access to 8 courses if you don't have XBOX Live. New live contect is already on the way. Negative marks for the limitation. In comparison Tiger Woods 2004 has over 20 courses. However, many of these courses are unrealistic and then there is the lack of online support from EA for Tiger. Second the customization is lacking as well as the depth for the single player. That said one of the big draws in the past with Links on the PC has been online play and Microsoft got it right on the PC it is safe to assume that it is awesome on LIVE. This is the saving grace of Links '04. The ability to participate in tournaments online and in general sink that one eagle put to crush your opponent. It is all there just a shame that they didn't give gamers more at the start.
Gameplay: Typical set up thumbstick swing control but significantly more sensitive for timing and aim than others. Putting is much more realistic than other golf games with rim outs, near misses and quite realistic slope effects on your shot.
Graphics: Excellent. Aside from the character models that are somewhat bland the courses are great. The green of the grass is more natural looking than the artificial look of the courses in Tiger Woods. You ball rolling on the green is fantastically displayed as the logo flips past with each revolution of the roll. Shot cameras are sufficiently varied to keep you from getting bored. One of the nice options is the letterbox view without the display items. pretty cool just your player and the course. Nice touch.
Sound: Sound in golf, no screaming race engines, no guns firing, no explosions. Though it would have been hard to screw up golf sounds it is good to know that Links gets it right.
Suggestions: More courses - More indepth customization - More single player game modes - XBOX Live to PC Links crossplatform compatability (really open up the playing field if possible) - User based course creation and distribution FREE on XBOX Live or disc - more, more, more

Overall: Im not a big fan of Golf but this game really surprised me. It has great graphics, great and realistic gameplay.
Gameplay: The gameplay really makes golf funner then what you think. In the gam you have to ajust your shots to the wind or depending on the terrain your on. Theres xbox live and XSN support for tournaments and online play.
Graphics: The Graphics look As good as it is in real life. Theres times in the game you will see a blurred spot. But it doesnt effect the overall feel to the game.
Sound: Its a golf game so dont expect much. Just announcers, Custom soundtrack, and the crowd chearing as you hit a shot

Overall: this is probably the best golf game i've played. the online play is what makes this game shines, as well as the XNS tournament feautre.
Gameplay: the gameplay is like any other golf games. u play golf of course and u move the left thumbstick back and forth to hit the ball and use the right thumbstick to control the spin. u also play through career mode or challenge mode to earn money and unlock golf stuff. u will use the money to buy skill points and with the skill points, u will be one of the best players on live.
Graphics: the graphics are stunning. i like the camera angles after i hit the ball. the camera follows the ball high in the air, making a pretty decent scene to look over the ocean or the course. golf is a game that looks bueatiful through nature and this game did a pretty good job on the graphics.
Sound: u pretty much hear the crowd cheering or applauding, but what i like the best about this game is that u can rip ur songs and play it while playing the game, which is pretty cool. this section recives a high score because of that
Suggestions: maybe allow us to be able to stay hooked to live while playing singleplayer, that way, we can get invites from our friends that are playing.

Gameplay: i love the fact that u can play on line and still get money to buy skill points so that u can go to career mood and unlock everything that u need to make u a better player
Graphics: i gave that game a five becasue ive played tiger woods before andd i loved that game and id have to say the overall graphics ar better tha tw and the tw graphics were excelent
Sound: i like the fact that the commentators give u tips and stuff and that u can make it harder by turning off the putting lines and what not
Suggestions: well if u could make that game better than it already is then u must be a genius

Overall: Links has always been one of the top PC golf games and thankfully it made a great transition to the Xbox. A truly addictive game, I find myself constantly wanting to play just one more round.
Gameplay: Imagine Outlaw Golf without strippers pole dancing on the flag stick or bikers beating up dominatrices. The golf "simulation" is superb and the controls are very similar to those in OG (i.e., left stick controls the swing). Unlike Outlaw Golf where you had a pretty good idea of where your shot would go, in this game, you really have to take into consideration things like elevation and wind and the lie when slecting your club. Thus far, my only complaint is one dirty disc error. However, all of that being said, this game has one thing OG definitely does not have and that is online play. There is just something about going online talking trash over a game of golf. Just make sure your opponent doesn't mind a few "distractions" (read me screaming in his ear) during his back swing or on a particularly important putt. :)
Graphics: Very good graphics with only minor flaws. The courses and fly-by's are excellent. I just love the "bullet-time" effect when you hit a good shot. They use a variety of camera angles after the ball is hit keeping the presentation fresh.
Sound: Great sound effect and the commentary is decent. However, I have noticed that many times the commentary won't play for a shot or two, but then it comes back. This can be a problem when you want to hear the description of the hole on the fly-by. That being said, the game definitely gets credit for allowing us to use custom soundtracks.
Suggestions: I would have liked to see a more in-depth career mode. Possibly letting you play for multiple years, going from tournament to tournament trying to get wins.

Overall: WOW, This is some addictive stuff! This game could possible cost me my marriage. (lol) At first I did not know if it was what I was expecting, but let me say that it is more than expected.
Gameplay: Gameplay has a pretty good learning curve. Intermediate can be to easy at times but can be adjusted to frustration with a few adjustments of pins and wind, just like real golf. Advance is a trip, no meter bar at all, just your analog and your skill. I did not even mention beginner because its a waste of time. Each shot has its own difficulty and the smallest mistake can be devastating. Online gameplay is best described as a bad drug habit, addictive is an understatement.
Graphics: This game looks absolutely great. The courses, and the surroundings are beautifully rendered and look very crisp. Not much more to say here, looks great, good job.
Sound: This is where the game really rocks, because of me. Using the Music Mixer I made some awesome soundtrack's taking my MP3's from the computer and putting them right into the game. No more commentators, just rocking music and knocking the ball with the stick.
Suggestions: A more in depth career mode, and a create a player just like Top Spin utilizes. This is a great effort at the first online golf game for XBOX. If you love golf then you would be foolish not to try this one.
