Armed and Dangerous
Overall: Trash, what could have been innovative and funny, is now a down graded hunk of junk...stick to star wars Lucas Arts
Gameplay: Not really all that well, the controls are loose, and the action, while fast faced, is redundant at best.
Graphics: I wish these descriptions only had to be a minimum of one word, because only one comes to mind...crap.
Audio: Auctually good, this dosen't effect the overall score, but the voice acting is auctually quite nice.
Suggestions: Multiplayer, tighten up the controls, and update the graphics engine.
Overall Score: 2.0 / 10 Burnout 3: Takedown
Overall: Something about wrecking a car for hours just gets a little dull, drive wreck, see how many cars you can take out. Hmm GTA anyone.
Gameplay: Read above, re iterating it would just aggrivate me more, I wasted $50 to accelerate to 120mph just to slam into a bus 9 sec. later
Graphics: Good, the only thing that saves this game from a trash can of doom cars shine and well it's nice, real nice.
Audio: I hate music that sucks, and this game's sound track bites the big one, cars all have a ricer sound to them and explosions sound fake.
Suggestions: EA stop buying people out, ok? You suck,
Overall Score: 3.0 / 10 Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack
Overall: Jacking a car and beating an old woman to death, kind of gives you that feeling that you only get on Christmas morning.
Gameplay: There is so much to do, so much to see, so what?s wrong with taking the back streets. Hey you never know if you don?t go.
Graphics: Nice although the characters are once again crappy with big hands, the cars look perfect, and the water effects and city at night are beautiful
Audio: 80?s music, what else can I say, well in Vice city at least, thankfully it fully supports custom sound tracks in game.
Suggestions: Multiplayer would be great split screen or live, just one or two more people, running over cops, gunning from your car, please that would be sweet. P.S. I like cops, but they are fun to fight in game
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Star Wars: Battlefront
Overall: Great, the action is enthralling, the battles visceral, and the visuals up to par with some grade A titles. Battlefront is a testament to developers using pervious successes to build upon.
Gameplay: Fast Paced, action packed, the controls of the vehicles can be clunky, but it is a minor inconvenience at the most, controls other than that are tight.
Graphics: Great character models are well made and move with fluidity, the ships all have deep particle effects, and the environments are rich.
Audio: John Williams is a genius. His music changes the mood of any game, and the sound effects of this game are solid.
Suggestions: Download content soon, possibly some space oriented levels IE low Grav
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Links 2004
Overall: Golf Horray slow and boring, they tried to spice it up, but failed, good job failures, I cannot stand golf anymore,
Gameplay: Hit ball move up hit ball, I swear they should make a special golf game that allows you to do more, explore the coures and such.
Graphics: Good, althought the faces are odd, enviroments rock, but I cannot get over the scary player design.
Audio: Ok clap clap clap clap clap decent, the hitting of the ball it the high point, but it's no reason to break out the 5.1
Suggestions: No
Overall Score: 5.0 / 10 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Overall: UBI WHY!!!!!! I loved you other games(save Dukes of Hazzard) but I cannot for the life of me stand this game
Gameplay: Fast, too fast, and if you are an FPS fan like me, it's hard, and frustrating at times like the die and rewind theme, horray dead again
Graphics: Nice once more Ubi pushes visuals, curtains move and soft light comes in from windows, very effecient
Audio: Poor voice acting, and abysmal music neat battle noises, but it dosen't compensate for the lack of other sounds
Suggestions: Pleas include live and slow it down
Overall Score: 2.0 / 10 ESPN NFL 2K5
Overall: First Off I am a Madden Fan, I purchased this game in hopes that it could rival the king, it didn't, and in doing so, fell flat on it's face
Gameplay: Odd interface, mildly amusing at times to chuck a 20 yard pass multiple times in a row using the same play.
Graphics: It shines, faces are recreated with care, and I could almost feel the snow as it fell on the field, no helmet lighting like MAdden but good
Audio: Announcers aggrivate me, "Get the ball, it's loose" just make me want to blow my head off, especially when on Live and the Pat Sayjack wanna be say's oh back to the drawing board when I am down by 25 pts.
Suggestions: Please emulate madden
Overall Score: 2.0 / 10 Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition
Overall: Don't get me wrong I love morrowind on the PC, and the first one on the BOX was great but LOADING......................Sorry I got side tracked....loading.....ok you should get the point
Gameplay: Walk inside loading......oh wait I maent to go o...I won't lie when I say I watched an entire 15 minute Ren and Stimpy Cartoon before it was done loading the main game
Graphics: Good, clunky characters and pop ups detract, but beautiful water effects and sun sets act like a painting
Audio: Good music, thats it, magic effects have dumb wishhhh noises, and NPC's say the darndest things "kill him"
Suggestions: Elder Scrolls IV looks great, please
make sure the equipment can handel it!
Overall Score: 2.0 / 10 The Suffering
Overall: Trash, I cannot believe I wasted my money on this, for the love of god and all that is holy, kill me.
Gameplay: Run shoot, yea! thats about it, oh then you can transform into a turd monster thing that dosen't get hurt
Graphics: good atmosphere thats it, good grief the characters were cool looking but strangely well wasted on trash
Audio: rat tat tat, F this and F that, common I know it's a prison game, but it's not OZ so it dosen't have to be so bad
Suggestions: Don't make another
Overall Score: 5.0 / 10 MX Unleashed
Overall: Decent, it was just all right, which was disappointing to say the least, I wanted alot from this game, and sadly it did not deliever
Gameplay: Alot of jumps hard controls and generally re hashed versions of other games, such as moto cross for the 32x, mind you, that was alot better
Graphics: The highpoint in my book, flying over a hill at 100mph, looks nice, and I could only imagine what a HDTV could produce
Audio: Whirr, thats it, music is ok, but Jesus if you want a moto game with good sound go with Moto GP 2, custome sound tracks, and live,
Suggestions: AI is nasty, I hate that no matter how bad you smoke them, they catch up to you
Overall Score: 2.0 / 10 Halo 2
Overall: Overall a fantastic game, the controls are smooth, the graphics stunning, and the multiplayer frantic and nearly devoid of lag. Kudos to Bungie, I cannot thank them enough, Halo 2 is a must have for any casual of hardcore gamer.
Gameplay: Smooth as silk, the game play although a tinge difficult brings back memories of days past. For once I am eager to continue an Xbox game, much as how I was with the first version. The control scheme works perfectly and after mastering dual wielding, you will wonder why it wasn?t in the first.
Graphics: Gorgeous, the first level alone is an in depth plethora of eye candy. Remember when you first stepped out of the escape pod that wrecked on Halo, and watched as the sun shown through the trees and the water fall sent up clouds of mist? Yea thought so, and Halo 2 does not let you down, the lighting effects, the normal mapping, the attention to detail. I have heard slight grumblings from people but cannot fathom why they are so critical. Look at this for example the CPU shots were High resolution on a monitor, the game is usually played on a TV with Low Res. Stop whining, this game is gorgeous, if there is any doubt, look in the eyes of your allies. No seriously their eyes shine in the light, and each has their own colored eyes, fantastic.
Audio: I originally had a strong distaste for the sound, the muffled SMG rounds, the new plasma weapon noise, it wasn?t anything I was accustomed too, but during a multiplayer round, with nearly 11 people firing the SMG?s and explosions tearing through the virtual arena I understood why it had been done. Further more Marty O?Donnell has compiled one of the most immersed sound tracks to date.
Suggestions: Bots in Halo 3 please, as the option to ban certain weapons, the ability to belong to more than one clan, and a type of Blood Gulch formed in an X that allows for 4 team ctf. Oh and one last thing, a game type that allows for one team to be all powerful, while the other three are weak and have to work together until they capture the flag from the powerful team's base, then they fight it out amongst themselves. Sounds like alot, but that is All that could make Halo 2 better.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Full Spectrum Warrior
Overall: Fantastic, a squad based, tactical, third person, action, shooter to go down in the ages as the best of it's kind...It's the only of it's kind? Well then yeah that too.
Gameplay: The tutorial is absolutely necessary, as even the most seasoned veterans will have control issues to begin with, but it's like a baseball glove, the more you work with it, the better it gets, and good god after an hour or so, it's solid.
Graphics: Superb! The lighting effects, physics, and even the gear on the back of the troops moves with such precision. Most of the time you don't get close enough to the enemy to see them (instant death) but it holds up great.
Audio: BOOM! the house rattles, not due to any bomb like the ones in Iraq, but due to the kick ace sound quality as your surround sound blows tit's speakers. Superb!
Suggestions: Multiplayer. 2 v 2 co op is great but the amusment wears off quickly. oh and add system link, thats something that should always be optional, that was sloppy.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Counter-Strike
Overall: Great Game Fast Paced with awsome multiplayer, I cannot stress how much better this game is than SOFII a must buy.
Gameplay: Like I said fast and furisious tm. quick rounds easy to pick up and play, objectives arent too liniar, and team play is fantastic
Graphics: A little dated, but still a hell of alot better than SOFII, the character modles are detailed and at certain times the terrains are too. Don't forget, this isn't Rainbow Six 3, or Splinter Cell, this games engin is 5 years old, so be kind.
Audio: Excellent, from the clip snapping into the gun to the bullets comming out of it, it really helps to immerse the player, and with soundtrack support on live....Wow
Suggestions: Great Game, make a downloadable DoD, or just release it for a comperable price, like Firearms Half life, and Dod on one disk
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Overall: Very suprised to sya the least, I have played this game for over 15 hours now, and I am still on tatooine, thats the third of 7 massive worlds.
Gameplay: I was origionally skeptical of the turn based style fighting that Lucas arts had employed, but after seeing how much cooler it looks and smoother it runs, I wouldn't have it any other way
Graphics: For the size of the worlds fantastic for example, on Dantooine, the grass bends as you walk on the fields, and the wind blows each blade. Sunlight Glistens off the water, and the character modles are second to none, (except Halo, Splinter Cell, DOA, Well they are good.)
Audio: Nothing beats the humm of the lightsaber and the screams of Tuscan Raiders as you slice through them.
Suggestions: Sequel.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter
Overall: Great game, to give you any idea on how large the stages are, it will take you at least 1 1/2 or 2 hours to make it through 1, really deep game, I haven't finished yet, but after I write this I will get back to it, oh and there are thirteen levels.
Gameplay: Fun Fast paced and deep, the control scheme is well designed and the action is well spaced, this is no Red Faction 2 and thats a good thing. In contrast to what GI thinks the stages are anything but liniar and are well designed.
Graphics: Visuals are crisp and well defined to give the game a feel for the enviroment, weapons details are, I hate to say it, better than Halo's, however, enviroments are not. For the size of the stages, it's amazing that they are that good.
Audio: Although it is sometimes hard to make out what is being said over the comm channels, it adds to the mood of the game. Bullets have their own sound and the Music suits the game well.
Suggestions: Why the Hell didn't you all do freakin Co-op at least, it was a fantastic single player but come on, games with multiplayer, have a longer life.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War
Overall: A well rounded game that shines when played online, not only does this give xbox another gem in the live case, but one many will be playing for quite sometime, although the single player may be tedious, the co-op makes up for this lack of ingenuity, and adds sheer shooting fun. Online Wolfenstine is second to only Ghost Recon as far as shooters are concerned, but lag can cause problems, so the speed indicator to the side proves helpful, a must have for a live coustomer.
Gameplay: Controls are as solid as possible, considering the task at hand, yes it can often times cause trouble, when desperatly trying to shift through weapons in the heat of battle, the interface does the best for the task at hand. Mobility is solid as is the targeting reticule.
Graphics: Visuals are by no means Halo worthy, although comparing it to that is like comparing a P-51 mustang to a F-22 Raptor, it's just not fare, they stand well on their own, but have a sort of un-realistic feel to it. I don't want to sound like I'm dogging it, character modles are great, as are the levels, (fire effects from the flame thrower are the best anywhere) but often times weapons seem bland, and textures granular.
Audio: This is where the game falters, and badly, the sound track is horribly repetitive and after ten minutes you will have heard all that is offered. While voice acting is great I feel that germans speaking in english is annoying, I mean everyone can read, so just put German language in with English subtitles. Finally is the death sounds and the weapons, dieing sounds more like someone trying to pass a kidneystone unless lit up by the flamethrower. Weapons are also similarly simple as if they used a keyboard gunfire button, as an owner of a colt 1911, and a regular user of an mp-40 I can tell you, they are way off. However the MG-42 kicks @$$!
Suggestions: Top 5 things:
1:Research into weapons Sound FX
2:More Music please
3:Allied snipers woulden't use a Mouser, Please include some downloadable weapons soon (M-1 Grande please!)
4:Mummies get old...QUICK no more tombs, try to make the next one brighter,
5:controalable vehicles
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10
