Overall: Pretty good racing game, not as good as NFS, but I think it is better than burnout. It is a lot of fun to play especially on XBL.
Gameplay: Very nice controls, open environment is awesome, not many racers with that feature. There are so many custom parts and things to do to your car which will keep you busy.
Graphics: Looks good, the environment and cars look good. I like the cinematic in the game and good voice overs for a racer.
Sound: The sound is just like any other racer. The engine sounds and tire sounds are good, like I said earlier the voices are good too.

Overall: It may not be a realistic racing game, but it sure is great fun! Picked it up in a sale for AUS$25 and have to say it is the best cheap game I have purchased in a long long time. I also enjoyed Midtown Madness 3 but have to say, this is much better... better collision detection basically ensured that... Anyway, lots of fun, I am about 53% through and still have Tokyo to unlock, so my review is based solely on LA and Paris tracks. Also, note I have not yet got Live so I cannot comment on the online play.
Gameplay: Street racing, rules? Nah... we don't need any rules, drive where you want, when you want, use the pyramid at the louvre to slingshot yourself over buildings... realistic, no. Fun... YES!!!
Graphics: Graphics do the job... I'm sure there is probably better graphics elsewhere but I'm happy with them...
Sound: It's a driving game... so you get what you expect... as regards the music, I must say I enjoyed the music in Paris better than the predominantly rap soundtrack in LA. Curious to see what Tokyo has in store...
Suggestions: I guess the vehicles you unlock are not the most varied... perhaps more officially licenced cars... but then hmmm, that makes this game a little bit more realistic so it probably wouldn't work.

Overall: A very disappointing racing game that does a lot of things wrong. First up, the characters are way to annoying. Secondly, no custom soundtracks -- which is bizarre for a racing game. Thirdly, I thought the cars were boring and didn't really care for any of them. Lastly, there are far better racing games on the Xbox, so avoid MC2. It wasn't all terrible, though. The graphics and environments (3 cities) all looked pretty good, and I liked the open ending races which you have several paths to choose from.
Gameplay: The controls are what you'd expect from an arcade style racer, and MC2 is a little unique in that in most races you can take a variety of paths (and short cuts) to the finish line. But, it's all rather ho-hum, and nothing new. There are a lot of better racers for the Xbox (Project Gotham, Midtown Madness, Need For Speed, RalliSport), so why waste your time on this one?
Graphics: Everything looks ok, but since everything is at night, it all looks the same after a bit and even the few changes in cities don't help the variety much.
Sound: Characters have the most annoying voices and attitudes. The music sucks, and there are no custom soundtracks. Nothing is good in the sound department.
Suggestions: Custom soundtracks, licensed cars, better characters...

Overall: This was and still is a great game! Very nive visuals and many hours of gameplay witht the addition of Live gameplay. Though I purchaesed this game when it was released, I still find time to play it once in a while.
Gameplay: MC 2 plays very nice. Many different modes of gamplay add additional life to this game, especially Live. Also, many features like turbo boosts and drifting make this game a great racer for Xbox.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are very detailed, although they are not simulated to look "real". Car models look sweet and night racing looks fantastic. Plenty of buildings and lights in this game, so you will never get lost in a race.
Sound: Sweet tracks in this game. Could have been better if custom soundtracks were implemented, but original sountrack will do, although there isn't many of tracks built in. The best sound award goes to the turbo boost!!!!!
Suggestions: Try to get this game out of the city, and custom soundtracks!!!

Overall: A great driving sim including one of the first driving games on Live. Cities are very detailed but only three kind of limits the gameplay available.
Gameplay: The ability to build up your skills throughout the game and then eventually unlock the 'batman' car are what make this game. The drafting effects in the game can easily surprise people as well, in addition to the nitro boosts.
Graphics: Visually, this game is great. The only flaw I found with it was how much the graphics degraded though when you had multiple cars in one shot.
Sound: The sound on this is great. The engines roaring, the nitrous and drafting speed boosts, horns and sirens, you can't beat it.
Suggestions: Better Live elements are needed for a future release.

Overall: i wasnt too impressed with this game, but i was only impressed with it until i beat it in single player. i didnt enjoy it much on live since it was always laggy for me. i would say, that this game is not worth 50$ and should be wait till it is in the 20$ range. but i would give this a rent first.
Gameplay: you basically race against other ppl in single player. u race for pink slips for their cars. one thing i like about the gameplay is the track. u can go anywhere u want around the city to find the fastest way to the finish line, but however, u'll have a better chance of winning by following the blue lights that leads u to checkpoints and towards the finish line. u can also play bots in multiplayer mode, which is a bonus for ppl that has no live. u can play modes such as capture the flag, detonate, street race.
Graphics: the graphics were pretty cool, but prolly not the best. it is above average i would say. the city reflects on your car and shines.
Sound: the sound is ok, but dosent catch my attention, which is why i dont really care about sounds in games since im hearing impaired.

Overall: your in the city, racing illegally and crashing through streets zooming through red lights and bumping and grinding your way to the finish line
Gameplay: you underground race, meaning you meet guys in the street and race em, same concept on live, even though they dearly needed vehicle customation to make the races more fair
Graphics: EXCELLANTE! very nice to see a game with nice graphics, although some people think they can look kinda dopey, they look nice and everything shines and glimers
Sound: the tracks are a nice blend of some hip hop and techno, you get to know some of the songs, but some of them get !&%$@#* ed annoying, cars sound really nice though....4.5 just because of some of the music

Overall: I wasn't even going to buy this game until I walked into EB Games. I think this is one of the best games right now for XBOX LIVE. I know there are no racing games out except for MotoGP1 AND MotoGP2.So I figured why not give this game a shot.Well I didn't go wrong this game is a lot of fun to play online and very challenging to play offline also.Definitly a great addition to any XBOX LIVE player.
Gameplay: Gameplay is very smooth.Lots of unlockables to build up your car collection.A great racing game with a little bit of a storyline to it.Very easy to get use to the controls after 15 minutes.
Graphics: The graphics are very good in this game.Even when your doing 200 miles an hour everything is very detailed. Can't go wrong with this game.Buy it now I need some competition online.
Sound: Sound is incredible. One minus to this game is there is no custom soundtrack. Who cares just turn up your stereo and crank out some driving music.
Suggestions: There are a few things that bothered me. Try to make your lobbies more like MotoGP2.Wheres the downloadable content????? Overall you guys did a nice job.

Overall: personally, i prefer more simulation in racing games, but this game is rather addictive once you get going. the addition of LIVE should make this game have loads of playability. running over pedestrians never gets old either.
Gameplay: first few races are pretty easy to win a new ride, though they get a bit harder as you go along. controls are easy to get used to.
Graphics: eye-candy-licious! i even saw a porta-potty on one corner!!! ever seen that in a game before? i've only driven in LA so far, but the city is enormous. sending an opponent into a gas pump and watching them explode is a blast. my front bumper got knocked off, went flying down the road and knocked over a few poor saps walking on the street! cars are very nicely done. would like in 'in-car' camera view though...
Sound: i usually turn off the music while racing NASCAR, but left in on for this title, seems ok, nothing too spectacular. no custom soundtracks? you get a lower score for that fellas...
Suggestions: BLOOD! after hitting pedestrians, i wanna see blood! some d/l content would be nice. custom soundtracks. new cars and driving locations are always welcome.

Overall: This is a a very solid arcade style street racing game for the XBOX. If your looking for alot of fast action you will find it in this title. Basically, you travel through three cities (LA, Paris, Tokyo) and find other street racers to challenge. You can unlock cars which can be used during play online via XBOX Live. You can also create your own races to play online or single player.
Gameplay: You start off with a really crappy car and challenge racers within the cities. If you win, you unlock cars and more areas of the game. Controls are real solid, and customizable. Just keep in mind it has a very fast arcade feel, this isn't Gran Turismo or Sega GT. Online play is addictive, if you have XBOX Live! get this game today.
Graphics: Really slick graphics. It looks really clean and clear and there is alot going on at the screen with NO slowdown. It is just as smooth when played online. There are some minor details that could be looked at, but nothing big. It is a PS2 port afterall.
Sound: The sound is great quality. I didn't really like the soundtrack, and you lose a point for no custom soundtrack, but overall sound is great.
Suggestions: Custom Soundtracks!!! Almost every game should have this!! Also, you should add the ability to upgrade and/or tune your car, change parts, etc..

Overall: Maybe it's just me but I didn't like this game. Don't get me wrong though I like the concept, I just didn't like the execution. I think the graphics are PS1 quality the gameplay is simple and at other times close to impossible, as the computer tends to cheat a little. Average game for an average system(PS2).
Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty good the cars handle well, the playability is tight. This might be the best part of the game itself. However, it got old quick for me. It was times when I had the race won and one of the AI cars came out of nowhere and blindsided me, that truly sucked. Once you get the hang of how it's all gonna go down it's not that bad. I just didn't think it was that exciting.
Graphics: The wide open space of the city was cool, it was just the cars were so bland and plain. It looked like a PS1 game. Disappointing to say the least.
Sound: Garbage, complete garbage. I don't think that cars whine like bitches being poked in the keyster a little rough and raw, do you?
Suggestions: This game is ass. I holla!!!

Overall: after watching 2 fast 2 furious, I had to get thsi game. I'm sorry everyone but I love this game. I believe its the ebst racing game on xbox. It truly brings the street onto the console. The environments are gargantuam, and the online capabilities add to the excitement.
Gameplay: In career mode, you race in massive cities like LA, and tokyo. You start off by flashing your headlights at another street racers car, and then you pursue several races and challenges against him or her. There are challenges where you have to pass through as many checkpoints as you can before your opponent does... you have to avoid police... you have to race the whole city. And racing in the city is wicked since there is a combination of freeway and neighbourhood streets. On Live, you can play capture the flag and ciruit. There is multiplayer play also. Oh did I mention, you can use N2O in this game. The speed burst is just amazing.
Graphics: The cars are made with massive detail. The screenshots don't resemble anything in game... The cities bring an extra element into play. There are civilians everywhere, and the locationing of the buildings and streets is just perfect. The cities look real! There are freeways and residential streets, and you'll never get tired of the surroundings.
Sound: No customizable music, but they do have some ok tracks. You can change the tracks while yyoure racing using your Dpad.
Suggestions: customizable music. Multiplayer on Live.

Overall: A street racing game with attitude, Midnight Club 2 keeps you pumpin'! I have a couple of concerns that keep this from taking top honors, however.
Gameplay: Race against the console, or with friends. You belong to a secret club of racers in three cities. The object is to win races, or evade arrest. One of the big draws for me is the character development of your opponents. I'm still only about 20% into LA, but I love the people Rockstar have created! The cutscene with Maria talkin' smack is excellent, as is the one with her brother. They have the flavor of LA pretty much down to a Tee. I don't really see much point to hitting the pedestrians...it doesn't add anything to the gameplay, and I find it a little disturbing that casual mayhem is so prevalent. If there were some redeeming feature, such as losing points, having to slow down, being arrested, etc., were present, I'd it wouldn't bother me. But in an age where kids are hurting themselves and others trying to imitate "Jackass", I think Rockstar made an error in judgment.
Graphics: Graphics are decent, I like the effects when you hit a lightpole and when you get blown up running into a gas pump. The atmosphere of LA is also quite well done.
Sound: ALthough I too miss the customized sound track option, I really like the tunes included in this game. The voiceovers really add to the overall immersion!
Suggestions: If you're going to include options for killing innocent bystanders, make it somehow add to the gameplay.

Custom sound track option!

A very good game overall.

Gameplay: The basic story of this game is street racing. If you've seen the fast and the furious or 2 fast 2 furious then you'll know what i'm talking about, this game is amazing!.
Graphics: Ok , the graphics are leaning a bit towards the PS2 version , but they are a LOT better than the PS2 version (becuz i've played both).
Sound: You can't play ur own music , which is a bit of a bummer, but they tracks that are already on there are pretty good anyways. The cars and bikes sound gr8 too !!

Overall: This game is what racing should be!! its fun fun fun, you get to drive around realistic maps like LA, London, and Tokyo and the maps are HUGE.
Gameplay: FUN FUN FUN, THIS GAME is fun to play, once you start the game its hard to put down the controller. The cars are not licensed but i dont care it still has great car designs and the online play is fun, theirs nothing like racing someone across the country and talking smack.
Graphics: the graphics are ok, thier not Halo standards but its ok because the game play makes up the game, then second you will look at the graphics, and you will enjoy them because they look true to life, not all kiddy like in the Midtown Madness crap.
Sound: The sound is awesome, you hear the engines , the people in the street getting run over, the light poles falling, the cops who chase in the distance, everything is awesome and then some.
Suggestions: Make the 3rd one with licensed cars and make it have soundtrack availability, maybe some more map download content, but other then that good work, what do u expect from someone who made GTA3? pure greatness.

Overall: Your job is to escalate in rank as a member of the Midnight Club street racing syndicate. You travel to three cities across the globe: Los Angeles, Paris, and Tokyo. Every time you defeat someone, you take their vehicle. In the meantime, you unlock different maneuvers that can be used to help win races (Slip Stream Turbo, Two-Wheel Driving . . .). There are no rules. Races all include checkpoints. You must clear all the checkpoints by any means necessary. The action is intense and the races are close. Best racing game on the Xbox.
Gameplay: What makes Midnight Club II different is the number of features all of the vehicles have. Each vehicle, excluding the motorcylce, has at least one nitrous tank, that provides a huge boost when used. Later in the game, Burnout, Weight Transfer, Slip Stream Turbo, Two-Wheel Driving, and extra tanks of Nitrous can be added. This adds a whole new layer of gameplay. Sometimes, it is effective to stay behind racers, in order to use the Slip Stream Turbo. Two-wheel driving makes it possible to squeeze in between traffic. Pulling off moves is simple, but mastering them and executing them at high speeds takes plenty of skill.
Graphics: The graphics are average for an Xbox Game. Nothing spectacular here, but enough to get the job done.
Sound: The sound is great. You can here the engines and the pedestrians yelling. Before each race in career mode, you can hear what your opponent is thinking, which is cool. No complaints.
Suggestions: It would be great if you could win something other than cars. Maybe parts of cars that you can use to create a custom vehicle. Otherwise, great job.

Gameplay: Gameplay is what you would expect from an arcade style race game. Controls are easy to get the hang of, but reading the maps kind of sucks if you ask me, which take away from gameplay.
Graphics: Well this is not the best looking game in the world, but also not the worse. Cities looks cool and the cars were just OK.

Great game. NOS works real well. Graphics are great. The cars are very enjoyable, but no upgradable parts. Still, good game. No, make that GREAT game.
Gameplay: Here's the idea. You start out as a no name, and race your way up, grabbing great cars and racing top racers. While some of the characters are a LITTLE over the top, they can make me laugh at how weird they are. Good gameplay.

Overall: Midnight Club II is a free roaming Arcade racer with a career mode which enhances the online game. You have to progress in the off line career mode to unlock cars and bikes for the online game.
Gameplay: It's a simple enough racer with the basic controls of steering, throttle, brake, handbrake and several ways to view your vehicle 1st person or third person but you also have Nitrous and something called weight shifting. The big difference with this game is that you get to ride motorbikes or drive cars around 3 fairly real representations of real cities. You get LA, Paris and Tokyo and all the touist atractions that go with them. There are several game types, Career has you racing for pink slips to gain better cars, Online checkpoint racing, Capture the Flag mode and a detonation mode, but my favourite is the cruise mode which allows you to free roam the cities and learn all the secrets of which there are many.
Graphics: The visuals are very good, but look very similar to the PS2 version, which means they could have been a lot better. Still there is little to complain about, but the graphical highlight is Paris.
Sound: There are a number of tunes to listen to and they can be controlled while you are playing via the D-Pad. It would have benefitted with custom sound track but you can't have everything. The car sounds are good and the nitrous/boost sound is just awesome.
Suggestions: This game would have been better if there was no cheat modes which has made everyone cheat just to have any hope of competing on xbox live.

I also feel a Hunter mode like MM3 would have been a wonderfull addition. As the current Battle mode games are fairly boring.

I would have liked to have seen some form of downloadable content, such as new cars and even a new city or two would have made this excellent value for money.

Overall: Overall / Summary: Aight, this will be short sweet and to the point. This game is just Fun?that?s it. No real learning curve. More of an Arcade racer as opposed to a true racer in the fashion of Sega Rally or MotoGP 2. Basically you get thrown right in the middle of a street racing scene and have to work your way up the ranks to become the best, and while doing so you earn some hot cars and some cool add-ons to make you whip really push the envelope.
Gameplay: Game play: What did I just tell you? Its an Arcade racer! Hit the gas, turn the car hit the brakes, what more do you need to know?ok, I?ll get a little more detailed. Default controls are very basic, (A) is gas, (X) is brake, (B) looks behind (Y) is camera,(Wht) is the horn,(Blk) is the nitro/turbo, (L) is weight transfer(advanced) and ® is Hand Brake. Now that we got the basic controls down, we?ll talk about how it plays. The cars basically turn on a dime (depending on which car), some need a little more persuasion to turn so you have to add a little finesse with the hand brake, it does wonders on those tight turns. While in the air off of a jump you might need to use the weight transfers to balance your car out to ensure a smooth landing, comes in handy especially if you are using the turbo and inadvertently hit something that sends you soaring into the stratosphere. Write that down. Its also very important to pay attention to the map when looking for check points?don?t want to take a wrong turn or you?ll be left in the dust.
Graphics: Visual: The graphics to this game are pretty nice, the cars look hot and the streets at fairly well detailed considering. I mean, what more do you want, its not anything revolutionary, just a nice break from those hardcore competitive games that Silvertrace is forever playing (j/k) 4/5
Sound: Sound: the sound to this game is a little weak, not very powerful if you know what I mean these cars are supposed to be hooked up, I WANT TO HEAR THE ENGINE ROAR?.oh yeah, techno is dead, I?m tired of hearing it on Racing games? And that brings me to the games biggest flaw?you can?t use custom soundtracks?.I don?t mind techno if I can turn it off and put something else on that?s worth listening to. So be ready to mute the sound track or turn on your stereo.
Suggestions: Suggestions to Developer: Custom Soundtracks. Please!!! And if I am wrong about this and someone knows how to play custom tracks please tell me. I might have overlooked something obvious.

Overall: Man I can't believe I got my hopes up for this! It's just not fun. I thought it was going to be really fun, but after playing Burnout 2, the king of arcade racers on the Xbox, this just seems like they weren't trying to make it unique.
Gameplay: drive, flash light at other driver, drive, race, repeat. . . just tiring after awhile. Maybe if they like made it so that you could tweak your car's differentials, tires, suspension, etc. Or like they coulda let you put Hydraulics on your car and be all gangsta then it would be fun.
Graphics: the visuals aren't that great, If I wanted a PS2 then I'd buy a PS2. . . The Graphics are bad, its just that they are just about the same as every other first gen xbox game. By every other I don't mean Rallisport or Project Gotham or MotoGP.
Sound: the sounds were alright, but who ever told them that rapno was good? I mean it would be alright if they put rapno in it as long as they give you the option to put in good music.
Suggestions: Custom Soundtracks, and don't port the next one! Last but not least, make it a simulation of the street racing scene, arcade racers just don't have the depth anymore
