Halo was, is, and will be the most memorable gaming experience to me for a long time. The first time I placed the disc into the drive and booted it up, I was in awe at the graphics, sound, gameplay, and very immersive story. The first level was intense as I learned the controls, and tried to get to the next level to continue the incredible experience!"

Overall: The game is one of the most perfect games that was ever created. Every aspect of this game was perfect in every way, from the smallest detail down to the largest detail it is perfect.
Gameplay: Long action packed campaign is one of the main things that made this game so amazing. The multi-player maps are a master piece and do not lagg or glitch. There are a few gameplay glitches but none are major ones.
Graphics: It was hard for me too believe that this game was an xbox game. The graphics are perfect and never lagg in campain or in system link. There are enough maps to keep it very interesting and keep busy for hours of gameplay.
Sound: Sound was as perfect as the game itself. The sounds of the guns and grenades were perfect and were right on time with thte explosions. The voices in campaign were pefect and matched the characters so well it was as if the people were real.
Suggestions: You should have made this mult-player!!! Everybody would rather play halo:ce than halo 2. ( i would ) If halo 2 werent already out i would tell you not to mess it up , but you already screwed it up.

Overall: Awesome, this is actually the first game I have ever played from beginning to end without stopping. This game sucks you in and doesn't let go, the cinematics are amazing!
Gameplay: Where do I start? The campaign mode is kind of short, but it is never boring. The game has very good replay value. The difficulty settings will keep you busy for hours and hours. There is one part in the game that I actually asked myself if that really happened. One of the best games of all time, a must have for every xbox owner.
Graphics: Visually this game is still one of the best looking games on the xbox and that is saying alot with it being released at the launch.
Sound: This game sounds so good in surround sound, everything sounds realistic. It gives me chills every time I hear the menu sound :-)~

Overall: Halo is the best xbox game ever. It came out near the xbox release and it still reigns champion. The single player, the multiplayer, the EVERYTHING is AWESOME!
Gameplay: Running around with big guns shooting aliens has never been better. The storyline is one of the greatest and most epic of all time!
Graphics: The graphics... wow even today they are still top notch. Everything from the map designs to the explosion effects are stunning. Still one of the best.
Sound: The charcter voices are beautiful, the gun sounds are great, and the music is the best in my books EVER!

Overall: FPS at its finest. Halo brings everything you want, need, and will ever dream of in a FPS. The weapons are all interesting and brings different gaming elements to the game. The vehicles are all a treat to take for a spin. The plot is full of twists and turns and it never lets your adrenaline stop pumping. Halo is a must have for EVERY xbox owner because it will be a classic for years to come. Halo:Combat Evolved? HA! Halo:Gaming Evolved!
Gameplay: Almost perfect gameplay. The controls are a dream to work with. Plus you are able to adjust them to your liking. The weapons are all different and unique. The pistol has changed the game completely especially in MP. The MP is absolutely flawless. LANS are a blast and it is a shame that the game is not LIVE compatible.
Graphics: Visiually, it surely does not push the xbox to its limits. However, it is surprisingly one of the best looking games for the xbox. The explosions are cool and guns firing look semi-realistic. All of the MC's look phenomenal and the Marines as well as enemies look good as well. The MP maps are what stand out the most as a true accomplishment for Bungie.
Sound: Truly the best part, I think. The musical score for the game is absolutely amazing. The music is perfect for the game and it sets the mood while entering at perfect times to make certain parts of the game more exciting. Also the sound effects are awesome. Making a nade blow up and actually hearing the sound of sand falling down as a result just brings chills to my spine. Truly a masterpiece.
Suggestions: This game just screams sequel.

the biggest reason y i play this game is the multiplayer feature with system link, or XB connect.
this is definetly a jiant party game
Gameplay: desent but single player could be better.
controlls are good but needs more tactical moves like leaning
Graphics: solid visuals with guns, terrian, and enemys. Though if you have a darker tv or high def, it gets very dark very fast

Overall: THE greatest game in computing history, i dont care what all you half life bums think, this wupps half life and all its mods combined, this is gaming, i bought this game nearly 2 years ago now, and im still playing it now, ive nearly played this game every day since i got it, fantastic graphics, (in my opinion), fantastic sound, sensational gameplay, beats all other games, the only game you will ever need....EVER.
Gameplay: Like i said the greatest game ever, what more can you ask for killing, many different species, lots of blood, marines getting killed left right and centre, first person shooting + flying + driving and an awesome multiplayer aswell, how can anyone ask for more, this is all types of games in one, including beat em ups, ooooooo killing an elite with ya fists, cant get any better than that (well until HALO 2 that is).
Graphics: In my opinion ace, has its flaws i will admit but still watching a frag grenade explode in the middle of a jackal gathering and watchin the plasma grenade stick to an elite is alrite in my book, and as for the blood, even tho its all diff coloured, (what you expect, aliens havin red blood), also the water effects are brilliant, and as for the detail on Master Chief...well its just ace.
Sound: Listening to the scorpion tank unleash its fury on the banshee, hearing an elite scream for help when you kick ten lots of **** out of it, well what more can you ask for.
Suggestions: No suggestion at all, you have created by far the greatest game ever, well done bungie and microsoft. I pay my homage to ya.

Graphics: I have no words to describe the graphics but since you need 100...how bout Perfect, Flawless, Amazing, Incredible, Unreal etc, etc.

So i say get out there and buy it!
Gameplay: The gameplay very easy to pick up its 1 of those games you just pick up the controller and learn it within a few minutes.

its a very realistic game that just gets your adrenalin pumping
Graphics: Now on to visual Eg. The grass has been patched in which means it actually looks like real grass it is truely amazing and the graphics on the guns are also very good personally the best iv seen so far

Gameplay: The gameplay is awsome, the fit the controls just right to the xbox controller and its easy to pick up. Single Player is great and playing campaign on co-op mode is a blast. The multiplayer is great and even better with system link.
Graphics: The visuals were great at their time and are still good compared to some games out now. They could have been a little more polished but they were fantastic back in 2001.

Overall: Released alongside the Xbox itself in 2001,Halo is truly the killer app for the Xbox. The graphics, the sounds, everything takes advantage of the Xbox's awesome power. The multiplayer is one of the best I've seen since Super Smash Bros. Melee! I can't say enough positive things about Halo. All I can say is,bring on Halo 2!
Gameplay: The controls are quick and responsive, with the only weakness being the initially aggravating vehicle controls.
Graphics: From the massive environments to the highly detailed characters and weapons,Halo, even to this day,has some of the best graphics ever seen.
Sound: The voice acting is dead-on,from the Marines' smack talk,to the screams of the Grunts. The environmental sounds are highly realistic,as well as weapon noises. However,it's music that earns sound the 5.0 rating.

Overall: Is best game ever a description? Its a shame no other FPS can compete with its quality. It is a bit short, and doesn't allow for many options in MP though. Still its fun and excellently designed. A work of art.
Gameplay: Battling aliens has never been this fun. Running them over in a jeep, or blowing them 50 feet into the air with a few grenades, or dropping one from hundreds of yards away with a sniper rifle, this is stuff dreams are made of, mine anyway.
Graphics: Visual description: EXCELLENT
Textures are great, and bump-mapping boggles the mind. I love draw distances, and hence I love Halo. Sure it isn't photo-realistic, but its really nice anyway.
Sound: I love hearing explosions, automatic gunfire, and little aliens scream like pigs as I lay waste to them. The theme music is some of the best in any game.
Suggestions: It sounds like the sequel will have everything I could ask for. More is definitely better.

Graphics: The graphics were awsome. No doa3 but still completely perfect. The well orcestrating and ever melding graphics as you took down the blue blooded covenant.

Overall: The best game ive ever had the pleasure of playing. Getting this game is the best choice you could make, especially due to the new low prices. XBOX wouldn't be the same without it
Gameplay: You can't get much better than this, with a smooth story line finished off with a twist to excite any gamer. Smooth running controls to add to the already stunning handling of the game.
Graphics: As one of the first XBOX games out, you would expect many improvements over the years. But this game still falls above many games in quality and . Although levels tend to repeat the same type of rooms over and over, the enemy gives you little chance to notice.
Sound: Great sound. It really takes affect on the library level, giving you the feeling of danger. The sound in this game doesn't irritate you like others will, even after you have played it for hours and hours.
Suggestions: For a game that has been said as the best on xbox, you wouldn't find many suggestions to give. I was a little disapointed at not being able to use banshees in multiplayer though.

Overall: Best game I've ever played. If the sequel is better I'll never get anything done in life, since I'll be playing Halo 2 nonstop. I'd give it a 4.9 if that was an option, just to leave room for Halo 2 to get a 5 (hopefully), but !&%$@#* if it doesn't deserve a 5. 29 months and still going strong! Gameplay: Controls are perfect. Action is perfect. Physics are amazing. Just the right combination of fps, storyline, adventure, etc.
Graphics: Stunning. Is it really going to get better without going to XBOX 2? It is amazing that they got this kind of quality out of a launch title.

Overall: Halo is the best first person shooter of our time, bar-none. This game is an action simulator, not a treasure hunt for keys or switches to open doors. The unique thing about Halo is that you can only carry 2 guns and 2 types of grenades, which not only gives a realistic feel, but adds a great strategic element to the game. Single player lasted me at least 24 hours, just because of the legendary, a near impossible game, but it was very fun and worth the time. Then their is mutliplayer. O how sweet it is! Up to 16 players can play by connecting up to 4 xboxs and it's the greatest multiplayer explerience of all time! From driving vehicles, destroying aliens, and owning friends in multiplayer, Halo is the best FPS of all time, and you owe it to yourself to pick up this baby!
Gameplay: Greatest gameplay in a game ever. This game could have been broken down into 2 seperate games with all the stuff you can do! Going from 1st person shooter to driving a tank or jeep is flawless and easy, no loading times. Switching guns and executing shots is simple and becomes very easy when you get used to it. And it is also the greatest grenade using game, its so easy and well executed, you will be at Bungies mercy!
Graphics: The greatest graphics in a game I have ever seen. The visuals are simply stunning and it trully shows what the xbox can do.
Sound: This to me is the weekest part of Halo, but it is still great! From the trashtalking marines to the high pitched voices of the grunts, to the "wart wart warts" of charging elites, the voice acting is dead on, the best I've ever seen in a video game. My only problem is that with my stereo, the bullets don't sound as powerfull as they should be, but it's probably my fault anyway!

Overall: When I first played Xbox, Iplayed Halo, I was so impressed and about 2 hours later I found out I was getting Halo and Xbox. I was so happy. I played it for hours, and unfortunetly I had the game beat by the end of the day. Now don't get me wrong this is one hell of a game, but I like replay value and this game lacks horribly in that category. I had the game beat on legendary by February, 5 person Halo is a blast, but multiplayer is the only reason I give this game 1.5 I love multiplayer! But the fact of the matter is this isn't a very good game.
Gameplay: I like it between December '01 - February '02. Then I got bored of it. No replay value, No extras to keep me playing this game.
Graphics: The visuals are nothing short of amazing. Not as amazing as DOA3, but amazing. The detail in the dirt, blood, and alien were great, one (okay about the only) of the best aspects in the game.
Sound: Great sounds from the guns, to your teamates, to the aliens screaming "Run, He'll kill us all" I love it. The grenade's (exspcially Plasma) sounds were awsome.
Suggestions: I must admit I cannot wait for Halo 2. But Hurry up and make it! Halo was the main reason I wanted Xbox And I was very dissapointed. Add some replay value to Halo 2, and alot more levels. 8 isn't enough.

Overall: I remember when I first got my Xbox through EB Games. The excitement of setting it up and the ensuing debate of just which game to play first. I settled on Halo and sat back in wonderment (even playing on my cheezy old 13" tv).

This game has doubtlessly changed the way combat games (especially with intriguing storylines) will be made for the next 5-10 years. The originality factor is high, if a bit inspired by its predecessors Half-Life and even Doom--but it pays sweet homage.

Its system of controls has become the standard of almost every FPS on the Xbox since its release.
Gameplay: For the first time player, the controls take a little while to get used to, however they are intuitive and are adjustable for the most comfortable gaming experience.

You have the options of piloting all sorts of vehicles in concert with the storyline, which is arduous but has a great payoff.
Graphics: The visuals of Halo, like so much of the rest of the game's aspects, have set the standard level of expectations from us gamers. Some may find them slightly less than perfect, but to me they made a totally immersive gaming experience.
Sound: The sound of Halo is in depth and varies in style and mood as you progress through different areas and situations. All in all, the soundtrack itself is excellent, as well as the foley/sound effects. The voice acting is quite good.

Gameplay: The gameplay is amazing the whole story behind the game is so complex you really cant grasp the whole thing playing the game through once it also has an amazing multiplayer option.
Graphics: The graphics are really good for the time it came out. Sence then the graphics on games have inproved but I still say that this game wins overall even with old graphics.

Overall: Is there really anything to say. It's the best XBox game there is, even though it is now over 2 years old. Halo has everything a true gamer wants. As some of you may know, OXM apologized for not giving Halo a 9.9999, due to that they didn't know everything they know now about Halo. Multiplayers i [f]ucking amazing as well! Everytime friends come over, it's the only thing we play all night. It's get's even better with lan parties (System-Linking with 4 other xbox's) as well as Xbox Connect, which allows you yo play online.

Suggestions: Hurry up making Halo 2, and don't push it any further back than Fall...

Overall: The Best video game I have ever played in my life. I look forward to Halo 2 and hopefully Halo 3 and 4.
Gameplay: All I can say is that this game is Fast, Exciting, Fun, Challanging, AI and intreaction with AI is awesome, Interaction with the different machines and weapons is awesome.
Graphics: Halo has brought the standards of video game graphics and play up to a new level from previous video games.
Sound: The sounds are awesome. Although I do not have the best sound system in the world to hear them on, they sound really terrific.

Overall: cmon, who hasn't played or heard of this game? in fact, so my review isn't like the many others on this site, i'm gonna grade halo on todays standards. most people know the story (uber marine cyborg fights aliens and destroys a little halo thing). since this was a very original concept (at least to me), the game gets a 5 in that department.
Gameplay: i can name 2 games off my head that have used this type of control/gameplay engine after seeing how big a hit Halo was. what's not to love? run, shoot, melee attack, and (in 2 am multiplayer matches) hump the dead bodies by crouching a lot on em :D (and i know i'm not the only one who finds this funny). meh, my only complaints are the sniping (it's too hard to do head shots!!!) and cheap respawn deaths.
Graphics: wow, this game really looks over 2 years old. blocky character models (i still roll my eyes when i see Cortana) and the good ole "have i been in this hallway/tunnel before?" bring this game down. guns look nice though, and so do explosions and the death physics :).
Sound: da da da DAAA, da da da DAAA, da da da DAAA da da DAAA da da da DAAAA (sorry, but even when i go for months without playing halo, i can still hum the theme to it :D). anyways, besides the ubercool theme, a lot of the tunes are repeated, but the voices are good and so are the vehicles and gun noises. odd fun fact : the lady who did cortana's voice is the same who did princess peach in Super Mario Sunshine -_-;
Suggestions: good job on halo :). however, if you screw halo 2 up.... well i'm still gonna buy it and enjoy the hell out of it but pleez don't screw up :D. my actual suggestions to them are sound in multiplayer matches (custom soundtracks, in game tunes, whatever), and some killer easter eggs to make playing the single player mode more worthwile (like unlocking new maps, or better yet a map editor, new skins for mp characters, and just some new stuff)
