Description

You're caught up in a three-way power struggle as part of a rebel faction of nomadic raiders called the Shadow Clan, but you're not alone in the hostile waters of this parallel universe. There's also the nation of Iriyan, who, much like the popular kids in school, might not have the best arsenal in the world, but is famous for overwhelming their opponents with hordes of blood-thirsty mercenaries. Last but not least in the power struggle is the Iron Empire.

Overall: This game overall stinks. I really didn't enjoy playing this game at all. It was fun for a while on Multiplayer then it went down hill.
Gameplay: Multiplayer was ok, however doing the same thing was boring. There really isn't much you can do in this game.
Graphics: Nothing too bad here, however today it's not the greatest. Could use some tweaking to make it better.
Sound: Music stunk, and the sounds of the missles and so on really weren't that great either. They need to improve in this area as well.
Suggestions: If you can make it where there is more to do in this game, improve the graphics, better sounds and so fourth you would have a better game. Or in otherwords, remake the game and it would be great I hope.

Overall: Fun multi-player experience, I think it is an under rated game in that since, however the single player took a big dive
Gameplay: Very good multi-player, a lot of fun as a party game with many upgrades available for the boats. Horrible single player with small environments and bad a.i.
Graphics: This game actually looks good, realistic environments, very good water graphics and the boats look very realistic. The only thing I have a problem with is there is really no look of damage on the boat until you actually sink.
Sound: Well, let me just say this is where they messed up. The sounds made by the weapons on the boats are terrible, they sound like toys I had when I was 5 years old, and the soundtrack is also horrible.
Suggestions: Good multi-player, however the single player needs to be redone, wheres Xbox Live?

Overall: Can someone say 'waste of space'? I really can't remember the last time I played a game that was this bad. I think the the developers had something going here but they just couldn't pull it off to create a memorable gaming experience. There was nothing to make out of the single player experience and the multiplayer was just not something that I would be proud of. Overall, it is average, at best, but I am glad that I did not purchase the game because I know that I am not missing out on anything.
Gameplay: This probably stands out as the worst aspect of the game. It is just not fun to play... at all! The game just lacked the x-factor which would have made this game a hot seller, but instead, it is collecting dust on the shelves.
Graphics: I can say that I was a little impressed with the visuals. The Xbox has again delivered on great graphics. The water looks amazing, especially with the animation of the waves. The boats are cool and the explosions were ok. I think that this game looked beautiful but again, nothing that had me in awe.
Sound: It was alright, I guess. Nothing Beethoven would have been proud of. (wasn't he deaf?) Anyway, it was just not something that made the game stand out. The lack of gameplay threw out any chance that I would be able to analyze the sound extensively.
Suggestions: You had something going but just couldn't deliver. Better luck next time.

Overall: how repetative can you get?? hpw boring can something be??? well until you have played this... you will not know
Gameplay: it should have been good, and is not an xbox exclusive to boast about. you justdrive around in your boat shooting... and that is all you do. the controls are terribal, and while multiplayer should be good... it is not, it is about the same as any other part of the game... and the whole thing is just repetative and boring
Graphics: visually average... sometimes below, and sometimes above... water effects are okay, but there is too much low res textures to call it detailed. just about average, and should be better for an xbox game.
Sound: engines are all very similar, and the environments give no impression of cruising a ship through the sea... really not making use of the xbox's audio capabilities.
Suggestions: fix the whole game.... and if it is good enough make it LIVE! playeable

Overall: Man, i fell bad i bought this game, 50 DOLLARS for a game that was fun for about 30 minutes(literally) it felt like i had to do it rather than wanted to, it wasnt fun. I am sad i wasted money on this, the worst game i have right now.
Gameplay: Gameplay gets a bit old, BORING missions! The multiplayer is descent, and is the only thing holding this game up!
Graphics: Visual-the water effects are descent, the boats are ok look, the sky is ok, so overall, the visual is average.
Sound: Sound is very boring, sounds like something taped over a taped over 1950 war movie. Not very intresting sounds, but the water sounds are very cool.
Suggestions: yea...dont go for a sequel, unless u have live, and then, u better step it up a notch...or two...or three....

Overall: When i first saw this game i thought man this one isnt going to do well. Even some of my friends thought so, but it did better than i thought it would because i reviewed it and heard how fun it can be so i took a chance and bought bloodwake. Bloodwake was probably my second xbox game bought....(1st was halo of course)but bloodwake does keep you entertained, especially on harder difficulty options.
Gameplay: The gameplay is slow and boring and too easy if you have it on ensign but if you put it up to admiral its much better. But, overall the game is still fun and addicting on some levels. The levels get harder as the game progresses in my opinion. The levels are very big in my opinion also once again but some, like the first ones, are too easy because all you have to do is detroy these little boats and collect things. But again the better levels are when you have to protect and destroy.
Graphics: The water effects took my eyes the most. It just looks really good with the real looking wave effects. It would have cool if there were like whirlpools and watersprouts as a threat also but the water is really good though. No slowdowns during populated parts, i liked that. The mountains and shores were probably the weakest. From far away they are fine but up close they arent good. Everything else is graphically good, even the boats look like war boats.........because of there nice detailed textures.
Sound: The explostions and water sounds are good to me. yeah they could be alittle better but still good. Sounds good on surround sound..of course
Suggestions: When you make bloodwake 2, or if you do, make the mutliplayer better and make more threats in the seas like watersprouts and whirlpools. And bigger explosions.

Overall: This may sound weird, but...BEST BOAT GAME EVER. I loved it. Quite challenging especially on Admiral. The game has very little replay value, but it takes a good while and some good gaming skills to beat on its hardest mode. The story is practically some guys brother betrayed him for some booty of something of the like. Raging ship battles against ships of all sizes and shape to create good fun and good story.
Gameplay: This game was alot of fun, but after its story mode, it really has nothing going for it. Slow ships result in boring multiplayer action. But the story mode should give you a good 14+ hours maybe of gaming on Admiral.
Graphics: The visuals were awesome. With the beautiful water and island like scenery. Not to mention the beautiful assortment of selectable ships and weapons as well as the opponents own unique ships and weapons. Everything I saw was beautiful. SO water and boats were great =).
Sound: The sound was good, but played little rols in making that game anymore different or unique in sound than anyother game. Its chinese toonish tracks went with the game amazingly well, however I had no desire to listen to it. I also got tired of listening to old Blackbeard telling me what to do!
Suggestions: Beautiful game, but lets touch it up with some better multiplayer shall we?

Overall: I was nerveous about getting this game. It had alot of hype and looked good, but I heard it got old fast. I found out thats exactly what its like.
Gameplay: When I got it I loved it. But the more I played the less I wanted to play. Now I have just about given up at the missions and I just have little 15 minute deathmatches when I am bored.
Graphics: On a posative side the game looks very nice. While its no competition to splashdown, the water effects look very nice and I have yet to notice any slowdown in the heat of battle.
Sound: This is hard to judge mainly because I just dont pay attention to sound much. There is no custom soundtrack support which would have been nice but the boats sound like boats and hte guns sound like guns so there isnt much to complain about.
Suggestions: More varied missions but still keeping plenty of missions instead of stealth garbage. Also it would be nice to have more deathmatch modes instead of just having 10 different types of LMS.

Overall: I played this game alot at a friends house and found it to be a great game on multiplayer, and then he wanted to give it to me, and I thought it would be cool to play in my spare time. I have now found that this game gets boring really really fast, and even multiplayer is now getting old. I would recomending playing this game at your friends house, but don't bring it home.
Gameplay: The gameplay is great, controls well, the bigger the boat the more sluggish it is, but that makes sense. I think they did a good job with it, though they might just want to increase the handling on all boats.
Graphics: The graphics are great, that was the first thing that got my attention, the water visual and landscapes where the best i have every seen, the weapon visuals where not as good as I thought they could be, little yellow blobs arn't exactly missles in my book, but the torpedos where good looking.
Sound: The sound is ok, all you really here is the explosions and nothing else really. There is no real water sounds or much of anything else
Suggestions: If you could make the next one with more levels, and go on xbox live then maybe it would get an appeal that would last, but now it is just old, and collection dust next to my other games.

Overall: An above average game that has a solid single player campaign and a extremely fun 4 player split screen experience.
Gameplay: The controls are very easy to use and the default controller layout is very accessable. The single player mode consists of 29 missions consisting of escort, rescue, offensive, and defensive objectives. System link would've been a nice feature expecially with such a well done multiplayer mode.
Graphics: Top notch graphics with awesome water and little to no jaggies. The ships are highly detailed with great animations of the motors, pilot(s), and of the weapons firing and reloading. Even with loads of activity on screen the framerate is rock solid.
Sound: Average sound, weapons and motors have good sound effects. The voice acting is so so and the music is not anything I care for.

Overall: Out in the ocean,

A chaingun...

This game rocks the hell out of every other boat game!
The story is not interesting but the missions are all about destruction! and getting the shiny stones...
Although the water physics make the game a little slow at some times the weapons and the boats make it worth.
Gameplay: The story mode gets you bored with the "videos", but the Multiplayer is the best!
If you want to destroy your friends in a different way then this is your game!
Graphics: The water looks cool and the boats are sweet, although it would make it better to be on another kind of environment because the feeling of isolation in the ocean makes you feel wierd.
Sound: There´s not much to say about the sound but that the guy who speaks to you sounds like a pirate wannabe and the music needs a little more volume and presence.
Suggestions: Try putting some real videos in there, not just images with voices.

Overall: A not outstanding shooter boat game, kinda cool for multiplayer, but a g-times-you-play-it kind of game..so not very entertaining...
Gameplay: Your regular xbox controller layout, accelerate and stop with the triggers and shoot and do other stuff with the other buttons. The boat feels ok when steering. But the the waves crashing into the boat you feel too and it's cool!
Graphics: The water effects are super awesome, the boats are ok but could have more detail and they should do more boats....

Overall: A 3rd Person Shooter on the water. You zip around in one of a number of different boats, shooting and blasting and ....... err, fell asleep just thinking about it.
Gameplay: This game was a jaw-dropping experience from the get-go. That is, my jaw was in my lap at just how terrible the game was. Silly intro, silly concept, silly characters, just silly silly silly. The boats handle terribly, and the only real saving grace is ramping off of waves or other boats' wakes. Multiplay is alright, but why even go that route when you got Halo, Brute Force, or any other shooter sitting next to your Xbox?
Graphics: Oooh! Just what I've always wanted, PS2 graphics on my Xbox. At least I know the graphics processor isn't being overworked. Playing games like Bloodwake all the time could make your Xbox last a million years. Nothing in this game, and I mean nothing, is striking, or new, or even slightly admirable visually.
Sound: Again, nothing special. All the sounds you'd expect, and all done about as well as you could expect from this title.
Suggestions: Get jobs in the restaraunt industry, maybe a government job. Now, I know I've been nasty in this review, but I was really disappointed in this game. I didn't expect anything stellar, but I didn't expect what I got, either. $20 is a stretch. Knowing what I know now, I would've been hard pressed to trade an OXM demo disc for Bloodwake. Sorry guys, better luck next time.

Gameplay: Love the dynamics of the water. Hours of entertainment. The movies between levels are somewhat cheezy.
Graphics: The water looks very realistic. Great graphics overall. The explosions could be better but the graphics overall are awesome.
Sound: Sound is okay but soundtrack support would have been nice. Nice crashing waves sound and Dolby 5.1 is a wonderful addition.

Overall: This game is a pile of crap, no good words for this game, o, except for the visual effects. The water looks great in this game. But besides the visual stuff this game sucks.
Gameplay: There is no aspect of fun in this game, this game seems to be made for kinds under the age of 3, I just can't accept the fact that this was a Microsoft launch game in Europe.
Graphics: OK, the visuals are pretty good, the effects of the water, it is just great. But there isn't anything else then water.
Sound: It's OK, it is not great, but it is not bad either. Only there is not a lot of sound in this game, not a real soundtrack or something like that.

Overall: Blood Wake is a very good game once you play through the story mode. But once you get through it the first time (if at all), their is nothing else to play through except the multi-player, and even that doesn't really increase the life span of this game by all that much. The ideas behind Blood Wake are very good, but it could become exceedingly better if it had more of a Twisted Metal feel to it!
Gameplay: The gameplay is good for the first little while, but once you get through the game it seems to lose its edge. Their are quite a few different options that you can decide to play in multi-player, but it just doesn't have the feeling of destruction that you would like it to have. The controls do take quite a bit of time to get used to, but once you get the hang of them, the game becomes a bit more enjoyable to go through.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are very impressive, especially the water as the physics seem to be very realistic. The landscapes are very well done to, but the levels could use a bit more variety.
Sound: The sound in this game is not all that great. Maybe its just me, but I am not really into the pirate theme music played throughout the game. On the other hand, the sound effects during combat are pretty cool as all the explosions and chain gun sound effects seem to be pretty accurate.
Suggestions: If you decide to make a sequel, consider changing the story line to maybe more of a mature, Twisted Metal type theme. Be sure to add some cinematics instead of those annoying sketch introductions! Allow the user to interact with the environments a bit, like be able to change boats mid-game. Have a better soundtrack. And possibly consider xbox live support, with more multi-player levels, and a co-op mode!

Gameplay: i liked what Blood Wake set out to accomplish, it did the boat farring battles justice i think. But because you are in a boat, it is often hard to kill an enemy who is shooting your behind... but oh well that's the game.
Graphics: Very nice visuals, everyone knows this game has good looking H2O, and the ships look great too, even the terrain looks nice.

Gameplay: They controls were hard a small bit, but were great controls for a boat. The guns were easy to aim and get your target.
Graphics: Awesome. These were great graphics with crystal clear water. The water was the most impressive object in this game. You really need a towel to play this game.

Gameplay: they needed to change up the pace every once in a while - it's basically speed up to get some baddies, shoot up, get the boxes after they explode, the race to the next spot. on the other hand - incredible water physics !!

Overall: A great and unique water combat game, that you'll apparently either love or hate. I love it. Set in an alternate Far East you take on missions to take down an evil group of baddies. Great setting, cool weapons, and challenging missions highlight this underappreciated title.
Gameplay: The one frustrating aspect is there are no mid-level saves (as in Enclave). You can work your way 20 minutes into a mission, only to die and have to replay it again and again. The difficulty is challenging, but hardly impossible. I found it quite rewarding, although honestly I would not want most games to be designed this way. Weapons are cool and well-designed. Boat physics may be a little too realistic for some, but creates a unique feel IMO. Cut scenes are sketches (like Max Payne) and story is pretty unoriginal. Overall though I think this is one of the better Xbox games out there.
Graphics: Backgrounds are a bit plain, but otherwise the game is very detailed and stunning. They focused much of their time on the water though.
Sound: Good sound overall. Voices were a bit plain and annoying, but were hampered by the contrived plot...
Suggestions: Utilize ramps more. More single-player arenas. Co-op story mode. Add enemies on foot and in land-based vehicles. More power-up variety. Add secret areas. Increase arcade elements. Add ability to choose which ship to use in each level. Have a different ending for each difficulty level. Great game!!

The Source
Date reviewed: July 24, 2002.

Overall: Imagine a game that takes you through the cycle of destruction on the high seas with some tricked out boats, awesome naval battles and missions thrown in for substance and what you have is Blood Wake. While not the most technically difficult game in the X-Box library, Blood Wake gives you all of the run and gun action that games such as Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8 on previous systems in the past have given. With several stages of action, different boats and means of overall destruction, there is plenty to do; though it does tend to repeat it in the later stages!

Gameplay: Blood Wake has a couple of different modes that allows you to either play through on the story mode or in the multiplayer mode. Now, the difficulty that you play with in the story mode is dependent on what you wish to choose. The higher your difficulty level, the more the enemy boats seem to pester you and they also seem to have a higher degree of stamina, which can turn your quiet boat ride into a tempest ride from hell. Once you?ve gotten into the game, you?ll find that the missions you undertake are more or less there to keep you from just constantly taking out the boats that are coming at you.

The missions themselves are pretty easy to understand, and they do take a little bit of strategy depending on what type of mission you?re up against. You?ll have to run a checkpoint race in one stage, or do an escort service in another, while picking off the boats of several enemy kingdoms on the high seas. As you move through the game, you?ll be able to unlock different boats for use not only in the story mode, but also different aspects for the multiplayer mode that include death matches and some pretty cool party games. All in all, there is plenty in the game play department here to keep either a single player or up to four people playing for quite some time!

Control in Blood Wake is nothing difficult to work with, although you might have to get used to the use of both thumb sticks to move your boat through the water. In a particularly difficult battle, you might find that the game is a little slow in this department based on the tight turning that you have to perform with each passing moment. Weapons switching and use is nothing more than a button press away and all you have to do is get used to the fact that the secondary weapons have a range and reloading time, all of which comes into the control scheme of knowing where and when to fire them off.

Graphics: Blood Wake is a good-looking game with plenty of real-time water effects and impressive looking boats. Though the game definitely has a fantasy feel to it, all of the detail that you find here is first rate, from the way that the engine turbines move on your boat to the huge underwater explosions that result from a fired torpedo! The stages on the other hand really have nothing going for them, with most of your missions taking place at night or somewhere near dusk. The locations have more of a war game feel to them, with most of the detail there having to do with the cities that you sometimes have to raid. Aside from that, it?s nothing but open sea and some speed effects thrown into the overall naval battles.

Sound: The audio that you find here is decently placed in order to not really take you out of the game, but rather attempt to put you into it. With the Asian feel to it, the music is set with a slight beat that gives you a spy-game feel but doesn?t go overboard on the techno theme that most games like this seem to have. The sound effects are minimal, with your navigator having some pretty interesting things to say depending on your performance on the water. You?ll get yelled at or praised depending and the way that the stages are explained to you almost makes you feel as though you?re in a movie. However, the blending on the audio seems to be muted throughout the entire game, and you?ll have to strain at certain points in order to hear anything new and interesting.

Overall: My son and I have been multiplaying this title for two days. It is a blast to play. Drop a few mines in your wake and try to lure your opponent into them. Or grab the accuracy Icon and shred them with torpedos.

Haven't played the single player portion of it, but have skirmished with the AI a bit. I can boast about its value for multiplaying though!
Gameplay: Very fun if you have someone you want to blow out of the water. I've had a great time getting whooped by my 7 year old son! It's a rental, but I may have to by this one. Might pick up another controller so I can launch a few rockets at the wife also.
Graphics: This is a very impressive use of graphics. The water effects are some of the best I've seen. Launch a topedo at a mine and you'll be amazed by the explosion. Set to stormy weather is great also.
Sound: Soundtracks are lame. You'll tire of them quick. Other than that the sounds are Ok. Don't expect much in this area!
Suggestions: Tons of multiplayer maps would be nice. We cranked it up and it only had 3, with 3 weather setting for each. Needs alot more maps.

Overall: I was really hyped from the commercials when I saw this game. So I got my Xbox and bought Halo and Blood Wake. I played Halo first, that was probably my mistake. Blood wake just seemed so dull compared, The story line is kinda shallow compared to the other. It was still fun but with out a deep story line it really lacked what was needed to keep my intrest.
Gameplay: The game does not have what it needs to keep you playing it. The controls are fairly simple but you are pretty much locked down to what boat you have to what you can do.
Graphics: This to me was the one saving grace of the game. The effects of the water was good and the movements were good. But I think they could have worked a little more on how the boats looked.
Sound: This was very annoying at times, with choppy sounds of the boats and generic gun sounds I was not impressed.
Suggestions: Work on the boat graphincs, make the boats more customisable. Also put real cut scenes into the game and not just the drawings.
The story line needs to be put together alot better to draw us in.
Oh and get a new sound guy.

Overall: I saw the advertisements and I thought this will be the game that makes me put Halo down. Oh Lord, how wrong I was! I did not like this game at all. The graphics were good. The sound is terrible. The premise of the game is good. The gameplay is horrible. It could have been so much more with a little more effort.
Gameplay: There is nothing fun about this game. The gameplay is drive a boat shoot a boat. Simple. Trash. Sunk.
Graphics: The game is nice visually but what game isn't with the power of the Box pumping it up! The water graphics are spectacular.
Sound: Sounds terrible, sounds more terrible, sounds worse!!! What an outlandish disappointment. I could have done better with the sound as a deaf mute for Gods' sake!!
Suggestions: Don't insult us anymore with booty games like this one ever, ever-ever, ever-ever-ever, again!! If I could curse on this review and have be seen I would!!! FUCK IT BLODDWAKE IS ASS, I SHOULD SLAP THE SHIT OUT OF THE FUCKER WHO CREATED THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!! I holla!!!!

Overall: Blood Wake is a very fun, action packed game. There are plenty of missions to go through (and they can get VERY difficult, even on the lowest difficulty), there's tons of things to unlock, and a very nice multi-player mode to keep you playing. It's also a nice title to show off to your friends, and definitely holds promise for a sequel. Avast, ye scallywags!

Gameplay: In terms of gameplay it seems Blood Wake has been branded outright as a Twisted Metal clone. But thats not the case, Blood Wake does have a personality of it's own.Unlike Twisted Metal, Blood Wake is a mission based game, featuring huge levels where you face off against dozens of gunboats. Blood Wake puts you in the lead role of several (close to 30) missions vital to the success of your clan over the vicious, but often over-confident Jade Kingdom, and the toweringly powerful Iron Empire. Missions find you carrying out a variety of objectives, from collecting tribute from port towns, to covertly taking out ammo dumps while an enemy is out of town, to your basic 'destroy all enemies' missions. Now the actual controls of the game work well most of the time, but can often be very frustrating. For instance, try backpedaling during a fire fight and don't be surprised if you almost lose your ship trying to get realigned with the action. Going in reverse is just handled strangely, pulling it off correctly is often a hit or miss procedure. Another thing that can get in the way quite often is the shock wave that the water gives off when you blow something up. If you happen to be going at a decent speed and run into a shock wave as it happens, your boat will fly into the air for what seems like minutes, all the while as the enemies take pot shots at you in the air. Likewise, your boat has the same 'floaty' feel when going off any normal jump or big wave. Other than those irks, the gameplay works effectively, the control set up works easily and moving about is usually simple and fun, and definitely feels like you're cruising around on water.

Graphics: Now don't let the graphics fool you. I must admit, the graphics are very auto-combat-like, but where Twisted Metal has a closed course level design, the levels in Blood Wake are of an epic scale, giving the game a much more open ended and broad feeling. And where Twisted Metal goes for the dark, disturbing approach, Blood Wake tries to capture the olden-days, Chinese-like culture, painting large port cities and castles, and using stylized speedboats, gunboats, and hydro-planes as it's vehicles of destruction. Now given Blood Wake takes place completely in huge oceanic levels, a huge part of the graphics come in the form of the water's physics and their use throughout the game. Most of the time, the water in the game is used to excellent effect, it animates beautifully and always gives off some really brilliant lighting and shimmering effects. The physics are also quite dynamic, you'll see the water produce shock waves upon blowing up an enemy, and leave a very nice trail behind your ship as you speed ahead. The water looks especially nice during stormy whether conditions. All in all, the water works very nicely for the game. The castles and cities also look nice, and you can always see very far into the horizon. Some things don't fare as well though, the rock structures and grass on hills look pretty dull, and the menus in the game are fairly lackluster. The pictures that forward the story are also not too impressive (much like the ones in Soul Calibur).

Sound: Speaking of the story, the story is forwarded along with some very nice voice samples (well except the main character, who sounds like he's been smoking more of the green stuff than Cheech and Chong). The guns, missiles, and other assorted weapons all have some nice sound effects as well. The back ground music on the other hand, leaves a little to be desired. I mean it has style, sounding like something a DJ from China would produce (yes, a DJ from China, complete with scratching and distorted sounds), but it's very sparse, drowning out for a moment, then coming back for a bit, then going back out. Strange, to say the least, but it does have personality.

Overall: Everybody was excited about Blood Wake but i was one of them that put the game away before its release. Of course i saw the video with the boat doing a special trick on a half-pipe and that why i rented it to try it by myself but in fact i play like 14 hours in single player and i never a saw a half-pipe or something that look like a jump. So let's our different there and talk about the story. Its run around a man that was violently attacked by his own brother. What he want ? Vengeance. How should he do that ? With his new pirate clan. One thing make me really excited when i was playing Blood Wake and its was how the story was presented. They show it on old papper with great draw and amazing voices, its a great work in my mind ? Im having a big problem i guess, because i always forgetting something and it's probably always the multiplayer. I shouldn't talk about them because they are the worse i was able to see in my live but i will do my best of course. In multiplayer, ennemies's boat are faster than you, same if you take the same boat and its look like more a twisted metal than a boat war but a least we got bots.
Gameplay: When we are talking about gameplay in that game, the only word that came through my mouth is bad. Why its was so bad ? Probably because its was too realistic, wait a minute i am blaming a game because its was real. Not really because trust be this part ruins the game because when you are turning on one way the boat take the wrong one. My buddies said that was realistic but for me its took part of a bad gameplay that should be more simple. A another thing, with your mini-gun in front of your boat you can shot gun-turret that are so farm that you can't see them. Many error make the game boring but the big one its what we do in single player, we can summarize this as shooting ennemies and repeat the process.
Graphics: When i saw mountain, ennemies, boat i was totally dissapointed but when i lower the head, i was able to see great water effect. In conclusion we can see two thing that were nicely done in the game : the draw on the old papper ( in overall appeal ) and the water effect.
Sound: Imagine you are in a boat war and everybody keep shooting at you and you heard some classic japanese music, oh my ears its hurt ! You should put it off, too worse and repetitive for me. But if we are talking about the voices its not the same because they were too amazing especially when they show the story to us. Finally, we got two way here one is good and the other one is worser than go to my grand mother house !
Suggestions: Plenty of suggestion : better graphic, multiplayer, sound and gameplay. In fact they should do a another type of game because we don't want a sequel !

Overall: Blood Wake has its good points and its bad points but overall the game is actually pretty good. Blood Wake has some really good graphics but some really cheesy missions and not the best sound that makes the game really good. But the game is fun and pretty cool. It is more fun to have it on multiplayer which me and a few friends always play.
Gameplay: Blood Wake is a good game but looses its touch fast. If they would keep the gamers more into the game then that would help a lot. Gamers lose interestin the game fast.
Graphics: The Ggraphics in Blood Wake are pretty good. But some of the gameplay appeal isnt actually what a game is looking for. To make the game better i would have added more movie/scenes in the game and keep the player more into the game. So he actually has a clue of what he has to do.
Sound: The sound isnt exactly what people would say is the best. Some of the sounds in the game are really corny. Reminds me a little of the gamecube. But yet at that it has some good sound effects on the boats. I like that the best.
Suggestions: Add more movies/scene's into the game and make the gamer more into the game.
