Overall: Serious Sam is a great 1st Person Shooter. a fun game that any1 should enjoy. its really fun to play the regular levels with a friend. while theres not much of a story except kill the aliens it still one of the most fun games ive played.
Gameplay: it plays like a regualr 1st person shooter like Halo & i couldnt have it any other way.
Graphics: the graphics look a little cut out at time but still they look well COOL.
Sound: id like to hear Serious Sam more than just 1 liners while playing. it would be cool if they had cutscences cause whoever does the 1liners sounds very Serious & id like to hear him speak more.
Suggestions: i really hope Serious Sam 2 comes to XB. it will prob b the same thing that happened the 1st game PC Only first then adapted to XB. anyway i just cant wait to kill more aleins.

Overall: This game is like a Doom with better graphics. It's all about shooting. That doesn't bother me however. To date i have every single first person shooter out for xbox and this one is actually high on my list.
Gameplay: The gameplay for this game overall was basically about fun. Not to much of a plot but the large variety of guns you can posess makes up for it.
Graphics: this game has about the same graphics as a ps2 fps. For the most part they are pretty good except once you get close to buildings you can see like crappy painting on them, all pixelated and stuff. The landscapes in this game can go on for miles and for the most part you could start walking one direction for quite awhile.
Sound: I dont care about sound. if i have to rank this sound i'd give it a 3 even cause it doesn't stand out and it doesnt give you nerf.
Suggestions: Maybe add more guns. but that's about all.

Overall: I bought this game on a whim as it was $20, and was pleasantly surprised. The best word to describe this game is 'mindless', but that's not a bad thing in this case. SS consists of plowing your way through several levels of wave after wave of bad guys. There are several types of guns and baddies to keep things interesting. However, the game is not without it's flaws, mainly that it gets a little repetitive at times and the graphics are not what you would call 'top notch'. Ultimately, the good things in this game far outweigh the bad.
Gameplay: The controls are easy to use and become second nature quickly. Serious Sam is essentially a move straight ahead and shoot, with the exception of a few 'key collecting/find the button' type objetives.
Graphics: There's nothing in particular that is wrong with the graphics, but they feel just slightly outdated when compared with other Xbox games of a similar nature.
Sound: The music is pretty generic. The rest of the sound effects (guns, explosions) are decent. Overall nothing to note one way or another.
Suggestions: A little more diversity on some of the levels and a slight upgrade on the visuals would have put this game up to a 5 out of 5 for me.

Overall: At the dawn of the 21st century, mankind makes a startling discovery. Beneath the sands of the earliest known human civilization, traces of another, even more ancient, but technologically advanced civilization are uncovered. The profound scientific implication of this discovery leads humankind to the far reaches of the universe. Everything seems perfect, but to perfect to last. In the year 2104, civilization is attacked by countless deadly monsters that were spawned from another dimension. In the battles that follow, humankind fights valiantly, but nothing can stop the monsters from coming. Earth's forces are steadily defeated, planet by planet, from alpha centaury back to their own solar system. Because of his extreme bravery in battling monsters, Sam Serious Stone becomes a legend. Wounded countless times, but never defeated, Serious Sam becomes a living symbol of the earth's resistance against the advancing evil. But, no matter how bravely the human armies fight, they are defeated, time and again, attempts to defend the solar system fail and the earth is now under direct attack. Humankind stares into the face of its own annihilation. World leaders must now turn to their last chance, an ancient artifact called the time lock, a relic from a long-forgotten race, imbued with power to teleport a single person back in time. The choice
of whom goes to Serious Sam who is becomes the final hope for humankind, he must return to the past and change it to save his race from extinction from an evil force determined to purge the galaxy of all intelligent life. Serious Sam is just a cl@!%#*!ic and a basic first person shooter with a banal story which is just a pretext to kill everybody or to lose time.
Gameplay: In Serious Sam, cycling through weapons is as easy as pressing the A and B buttons
and you can set your two favorite weapons to the X and Y buttons. Also you must press the right trigger to shoot and the left one to jump and all the other buttons are useless. In fact, Serious Sam is really too basic for a shooter and we are not accustomed to old first person shooter with nothing more than powerful gun to have some fun. The first five levels are quite interesting but more you get through the story more you find this game a little bit too boring and similar. Thirty six levels with the possibility of playing in cooperative and deathmatch is quite a good lasting appeal but it is just ineffective again a big fan of shooter like me. Also the respawning monster is really ridiculous, i mean why does the hell i can only be touch when someone is respawning in my back ? Yes, you got it ! You can kill every monster in the arena but after a while they are back and always behind you, it's get really annoying and frustating. I forget to say that this game look like an arena shooter because in the story the only thing you do is to enter an arena where you can't exit, shoot everyone and go to the next arena. If there was something special like great graphic, vehicule, challenge or outstanding action it could have rise this game a little bit more. Cooperative mod is also boring because you got a restricted amount of lives and when you are playing with a newbie, it is really hard. The only cool feature are the separate stuff where each gamer have their own armor or health, the possibility of doing all the 36 levels in cooperative but without any videos and the system link play. The split screen multiplayer
is also a lose of time, ok there is a lot of maps but there is nothing more that fragging everyone to do, so without any doubt it can be repetive. Finally Serious Sam offer nothing more than a basic gameplay, so probably that gamers will not find any attraction to this game and even if with his low price.
Graphics: I remember one of the best shooter i ever buyed on Pc, it was called Duke Nukem 3d.
How horrible the graphic was, but i never ended to play it. Serious Sam is like Duke Nukem for the visual but even more simple :
the texture are restricted to the minimum, the monster are numerous but there is no modelling in it and
there is no detail or interactivity in the game. Againt i will repeat this game his too much basic for me !
Sound: There is no lips moving when Serious Sam is talking, the voice is annoying and the sentence
who was supposed to make this game hironic
don't work with me and the music was great but sometimes they take it from other movies
( Indiana Jones ), so it like copying other production and i am not a fan of copying ( How ironic i am here ? ).
Suggestions: Hide yourself somewhere or save your dignity by erasing your name on the generic !

Overall: All fans of intense first person shooting action have no excuse not to own this game. After playing this game for several hours it will literally haunt you in your dreams.
Gameplay: The controls are tight and easy to learn. The action in this game is like no other. Fatigue sets in after the non-stop adrenaline rush of playing this game for a while. You'll know what I mean after fighting 3 dozen WereBulls at the same time in a closed arena. Multiplayer co-op is worth the price alone.
Graphics: The graphics are bright and colorful, which is nice for a change on an FPS. The levels are huge and so are some of the bosses.
Sound: The sounds are all passible. Nothing to write home about. It would be nice if Sam would make more of those remarks he says from time to time.

Overall: A great experience not to miss if you are a FPS fans. But i convince everyone just renting it cause after a period of time, it's become boring. For someone who have endless friends coming to their house, this game is really fun by killing each other.
Gameplay: You are behind a man called Sam "Serious" Stone and your job is: destroy and eliminate every aliens and species that want to invade the planet Earth. Anyway, the story is not so important in this game (if you are the one that care about it, this game is not for you). What make this game different from others FPS, is the numbers of ennemies appearing in your screen. You will see at least around 100 creatures (only one A.I.:kill YOU!)at time. Sound impossible huh ? Don't care about it cause Croteam has add some power-ups to keep you alive in the missions. Also you don't need to keep ammos you found in the level, there are popping everywhere that have a good fight. So just shoot what you have then recover it.
Graphics: I don't know what you guys thinking about it but me, there are all serious visual effects for me ! You need a really high-end PC to truly get what Croteam has done in Serious Sam.
Sound: I found that Croteam has created some good musics. When you have a big fight, the music is just going fast than normal. Sounds really into the game.

Overall: Serious Sam is a simple game, but its excellent fun, esspecially in cooperative. Not for the thinking, but for those who want a bit of mindless fun!
Gameplay: everything-you-see, would be a simple way to describe Serious Sam. You are the last hope for mankind, against the onslaught of numerous alien forces. Your only hope is to travel back through time to stop them at their source. Yes, the story sounds rubbish, and it is. But after a few minutes of the mindless game play you won't care. Off you go, blowing the bodys of hundreds of aliens to bloody chunks, with some of the largest guns you have ever seen. This is fun, but only in short bursts, don't play Serious Sam for long periods of time, because it can be tiresome. Multiplayer is ok, but by far the best aspect has to be the co-operative mode. You will find killing swarms of insanly designed aliens better, with a freind. The game often features comedy, so you'll have a laugh no matter how dull the story is.
Graphics: The game looks ok. Its not great, but then it does manage to hold an incredible ammount of action in one screen. It does this relatively well, but the slowdown is obvious in places. The screen often breaks into little peices of different graphics as it slows down, which could cause problems while playing. However the texture work is excellent, varied and colouful. The levels are large and look rather nice. The game holds up, and the huge variety of enemies and weapons are all constructed well.
Sound: The sound is the best part of the game. Theres not much of a soundtrack, but the music that is there always fits appropriately. The music gets more epic as action increases, and each peice of music fits the area you are exploring. The soundeffects are also good. Screaming aliens are heard from all directions if you have Dolby Digital, and the gun sounds ect. are all beleivable.
Suggestions: The game features more than 35 long levels. The multiplayer adds further to the thrill, giving a good long game life. But the replay value is lost because of the lack of a proper story, and a disappointing ending. Next time the story needs to be more central to the game. For a developers first title though, its a job well done.

Overall: terrible, cant stand it anymore wanna melt the cd and burn the intructions. this game was horribly smacked to gether and couldnt entertain a 5-yr old. the multiplayer was done ingeniously b/c theres 2 sets of items, one u see and can pick up, and the other u cant see but your ally can and he can pick it up.
Gameplay: well, theres no missing, the reticles are always centered, and u never miss a shot, the TOMMY GUN shoots a str8 line. WOW, and theres a giant horde of monsters always comming at you, and its basically just how long u can hold down the trigger.
Graphics: catoony, v-games are going down the toilet b/c of cell-shading. cell shading is all right, but lets face it, what would u rather see, some cartoons beat eachother up, or the smooth refreshing crisp looks of games like DOA beat eachother up? hmm?

Overall: I really didn't know anything about Serious Sam before I bought it, and only got it because it was a cheap title (under $20) that sounded interesting. It was a wise investment, as I found Serious Sam to be a blast. There isn't much strategy involved except plow through the sea of bad guys that come at you in large waves. It takes me back to the "old school" FPS. What really surprised me was the length. It has 5 episodes that contain nearly 40 levels total. Each level takes anywhere from 30-40 minutes each (well over 20 hours of gameplay). It also features some replay attraction as there are several secrets hidden in each level. I only have one minor knock against Sam, and that was it did get a little repetitive in Episode 2 and 3 (pyramids and more pyramids). I got a little tired of the scenery. Then came Episode 5, which changed scenery several times (dungeons, cemetaries, lava caves, ice castles, weather effects: snow, rain, etc...). They should have spread that out a little over the other episodes. But, the game was never boring as there was always a steady stream of bad guys to shoot up. Also the game has a unique sense of humor. Sam has some funny comments ("it's so cold my nipples are as hard as erasers!" was one of my favorites). Bottom line is this is one heck of a game at $20, and probably the best bang for the buck that I have every seen.
Gameplay: Handles a lot like halo, using the two anolog sticks to move. The right trigger fires and left jumps. There is a great variety of weapon and each has a very unique feel and use. I personally liked using the cannon to "go bowling" and the minigun was a good one. The levels are straight forward, and it's never too confusing, with the exception of the boss at the end of Episode 2 (top of the pyramid) which was very hard to figure out how you were supposed to kill him. Other than that, it's all straightforward shooter.
Graphics: Visuals were decent. Again, some of it was repetitive, and there could have been more variety packed into Episodes 2 and 3, instead of saving everything for Episode 5. But, overall everything was good. Nothing that will make you pee your pants, but solid.
Sound: Great sounds! Sam's comments are hilarious (there could have used more, though). Playing on surround sound was great as I could hear where the screaming bad guys were coming from. Weapon sounds were very good, and the music was just right.
Suggestions: More variety (visually) in some of the levels.

Overall: I had read a lot of reviews on this title before diving in and everyone agreed that the gameplay is great. I just finished the game today (all 25 levels), and I'd definitely have to say that the gameplay here is some of the best I've ever experienced. Where Halo embellishes the whole FPS genre with a lot of extras, SS is like !&%$@#* without the foreplay. You dive right into the action and are on a constant roller coaster ride for 20 hours.
Gameplay: Some of the best I've experienced. Two thumbs up! ! ! There's an occasional switch to flip, but everything is pretty straight forward - desecrate everything in sight! Croteam's approach is simple: we'll give you boatloads of ammo to fend off the boatloads of enemies you'll encounter. Simple as that. 25 levels of intense, no relief, no mercy gaming. I've gotta say that I never got frustrated with SS. My disc was one of the "problem" ones you read about all over the net, which led to long load times and occasional disc errors that would cause me to restart a checkpoint all over again. The funny thing is that the gameplay is so fun, I didn't mind re-playing what I had already completed - even the gigantic battles. One of the few titles that I really looked forward to coming home and playing. I should also add that the ability to assign your favorite two weapons to the "X" and "Y" keys is great. A definite asset when you have fifteen to choose from.
Graphics: Here's the good and bad. . . Everything is in fairly high resolution, the draw distance is the best ever, there is bump mapping over most of the textures, and the weapons look good. On the flip side, there's not a whole lot of detail and most of the courtyards are pretty barren. The skies don't move, although the sun and moon looks good. Let me take that back, 90% of the levels have skies that don't move. Some of the later levels do involve stormy conditions that have moving skies. One of the most amazing things about the graphics is the enormous amount of enemies on screen at any one time without slow down. I guarantee you've never seen this many in a game before. Definitely some of the most intense gaming I've experienced. My bottom line on the visuals is that they get the job done and actually look very appealing at times.
Sound: DD 5.1 is a real asset on this title, especially with the screaming bombermen. I would have lost many lives had it not been for the positioning afforded by the speakers. The weapons all sound powerful with the exception of the chainsaw, which sounds weak. I never really used it throughout the entire game anyway. The music is good and actually reminds me of "Enigma" at times, which is one of my favorites. When the sound was cranked, my neighbor probably thought that WWIII was going on in my place!
Suggestions: Next time around, take full advantage of the Xbox's graphics.

Overall: What an amazing game! I absolutely love it. It is slowly taking over the rest of my games and soon will be the sole one I ever play.
It is a mindless shooter, yet unlike some bad mindless shooters it is MEANT to be one. Some reviewers just don't understand this.
Overall, an excellent stress reliever and an extremely addictive game. I have never met a person (who has actually played this game before reviewing it *cough cough*) who has not enjoyed this game throughly.
One last thing to watch out about: If your game is choppy, experiences errors or anything of the like, you probably have a faulty disc. The developer accidentally burnt some of the copies on bad discs (not the game makers fault, DONT BASH THE GREAT CROTEAM!) and please call their technical support line at (410) 933-9191 and the helpful people there will tell you how to replace your disc with a good copy.
Gameplay: This game is pure fun, pure action, pure adrenaline. I absolutely love it! There is no other game out there that has hundreds of enemies running at you, (and you armed to the teeth with a gernade launcher, pistols, rocket launcher, chainsaw, and even a gigantic bomb!) which allows you to duke it out like this. It is like they took Doom, distilled the action, concentrated it onto one disc, added a few dashes of humor, and put it in one little green box for you to enjoy. People who don't like this game simply don't understand it, and what it is about. This ISN'T a Halo, or a Splinter Cell. Those are thinking man's games, full of drama and a thicking plot. This is Serious Sam. This game purposefully drops you into a level with thousands of enemies blocking your way to the finish, arms you to the teeth, and lets you blow stuff up.
The game runs smoothly, and the gameplay is flawless. Finally, not seen since the days of Duke Nukem, we see actual BOSSES! A real boss should be at least 10 times as big and as powerful as you. Heh Serious Sam's boss fights are truly memorable!
5 out of 5 for certain, the excellent multiplayer action clinches the score.
Graphics: People who think this game looks bad are insane! I don't know what you are talking about.
Many people who review this game before reaching the second part of it, never get to see Serious Sam 2. This game is two games in one: One unlocked after you beat the other. Serious Sam two was released a year and a half after Serious Sam one, so the second portion of the game has much better looking landscapes, that stretch for nearly a mile before fogging up.
Both games, when released for the PC (mind you, serious sam 2 was released only a year ago!) were heralded for their excellent graphics. No game made since can hold so many monsters and explosions on their screen, not Splinter Cell, not Halo, not any other shooter on any console. Serious Sam has been improved even more for its release on the Xbox, and plays like the PC versions with all the graphics settings turned up. Since this game is not a game made for eye-candy, and made more for gameplay, I give it 5/5 for accomplishing to create good graphics when bad graphics could have still made this game spectacular.
Sound: Do any of you nay-sayers of this game have surround sound?
There is nothing more electrifying than while running backwards away from three rocketlauching biomechs to hear behind you the haunting cry of "Ahhhhhhhh!" as the kamakazi bombers run towards you. It's enough to make your heart leap into your chest with excitement.
The sound effects are amazing, the music.. well I can never hear it over the explosions, cries of the various monsters, and the funny one-liners Sam spits out every once in a while (but never repeats, so it doesn't get annoying).
4.5/5 for great sound effects, I've only seen a few games which manage this better.

Gameplay: Yeah, great control, totally frantic and lots of fun to play, only bad part was you had to kill a certain amount of "bad guys" before you could hove on, and it was very simplistic.
Graphics: Looked fun and pretty good in a dodgy kind of way, it looked pretty old and fighting off tons of "bad guys" I think it would have been a bit better if they tried to make it a bit scarier.

Overall: This Game is one of the best FPS shooters ever. It deserves a spot next to the Doom Series, I have always loved this kind of games where you can have lots of fun.
Gameplay: This game has so much senseless nonstop action. The Multiplyer mode is a blast! All my friends love to play this game with me on CO-OP mode, The game slows down for a second, but it doesn't bother at all. We will be playing this games for countless hours with my friends.
I see this game as how DOOM should have been, being able too play with your buddies through the mission. You should buy this game if you haven't already. Its great games for hanging out with friends
Graphics: This games deserves props since it was able to port the graphics engine with no problems and increasing the resolution of the game. Since the nonstop mindless fun just overshadows the perceptions of the graphic engine. This game may not be as beautiful as most Xbox games should be. Gameplay: Very impressive gameplay. Not floaty like Time Splitters 2 or Nightfire. The controls are very simple, which makes learning quick, and suits the game well because the objective is to shoot. Auto-aim is well done (also unlike Time Splitters).
Graphics: Graphics are decent for an xbox game. It is a port of an older PC game, so you shouldn't play it expecting it to be Halo or Rallisport. But the framerates are very smooth and the graphical quality is somewhere between Nightfire and Unreal. The levels are huge.

Overall: Serious Sam on Xbox (a.k.a. when I grow up I want to be just like Halo) is sheer mindless FPS fun. This is a passable buddy game in cooperative mode. However, repetition, repetition, repetition kills this game. This is a rental game you play to vent with. Played this game with a buddy for three hours (half way through it) the other night and I've had enough
Gameplay: Let's be serious here. You won't buy or rent this game for its fine use of tactics. This game is about putting as many rounds downrange as you can and dodging incoming fire. My major beef is getting lost on a map where everything looked the same.
Graphics: Good but not great. This game suffers some jaggies and slow down with a higher volume of fire and enemies. My biggest gripe with this game is the screen presentation in cooperative mode (2 player). Why didn't they just copy Halo's presentation (horizontal split and the entire screen)?
Sound: A redeeming quality for this game. With a surround sound system you'll be hearing the soothing sounds of the kamikaze bombers in your sleep. They actually have a doppler shift like effect in this game which is oh so cool. The soundtrack is not half bad either and picks up to let you know somethings up.

Overall: This is game is pretty fun. Main purpose of it is run-n-gun type of gameplay. You keep going and shooting, its repetitive. This game is worth a rental and to a small amount of gamers, a purchase. The graphics are not great, and not bad. The sound is pretty good even with all the things that are happening on screen at one time. For hardcore fast paced shooter fans, this game should not be missed.
Gameplay: The gameplay can get boring extremely fast for some gamers. All you do basically is keep running and shooting everything in sight. There is a single player campaign, a deathmatch multiplayer mode, and a co-operative multiplayer mode where you and a partner can team up to go through the single player campaign. There are many, many different kinds of monsters in this game and also many different kinds of guns. But, even with all that variety, the gameplay still is repetitive. Serious Sam's gameplay is more of a faster pace than regular FPS's. The monsters keep coming at you and you hardly have time to stop for a long breather. Overall, the gameplay isnt that bad, but isnt great either.
Graphics: The visuals seem kind of out of date. It looks kinda like Giants: Citizen Kabuto for PC. The characters are cartoonish but reasonably rendered. THe environments are nice up to certain borders where the rest are 2d graphics. The guns are also reasonably detailed and also the aliens. The graphics cannot compare with Splinter Cell, cannot compare to Halo, but can be compared to games like Giants and Serious Sam on PC or games with mediocre graphics on the Xbox.
Sound: The sound is ok in this game. Aliens scream, bullets fly out of the gun with sound accordingly, aliens cry out, doors open with sounds, footstep sounds, and some comments by Sam make the sound not too bad. I haven't really paid attention to the music so I don't really know if they even have music. Overall, the sound is acceptable in this game.

Overall: If shooting and mowing down
hundreds of bad @ss creatures
appeals to you, then this game has
much appeal.
Gameplay: The gameplay for Serious Sam is
pretty much run and shoot. You can
not stand still for any amount of
time unless you have already killed
all the baddies or you have hit
pause.
Graphics: Stunning are the graphics for this
game. There is nothing like
playing a game that has
breathtaking landscapes that seem
to go on forever.
Sound: Frightening. This sound for this
game is absolutely shocking. The
noises of the enemies will have you
sitting on the edge of sanity as
you wait for them to come over a
hill or from wherever. Lay heavy
on that fire button!
Suggestions: I suggest creating and XBL
component. That would totally own.

Overall: If you like fast paced shooters, and lots of fun, this game is perfect for you. Even gamers who have played the PC versions should consider picking up a copy.
Gameplay: Controls are very easy to be picked up by anyone. Very fun and the serious engine does excellent job of rendering lots of enemies on the screen without slowdowns.
Graphics: Very good. Occaisional slowdowns but nothing too bad. Could have been better though, but still great.
Sound: Excelllent ! Great Music, the music really matches this Game PERFECT! most of the time you hear enemies before you see them. All monsters sound cool.
Suggestions: Great game. I would've like better multiplayer modes though (eg. Capture the flag) but still good. I hope you have chosen the xbox as your console to stay.

Overall: I must concure with a-train on this one. Just do a simple ditto from what he wrote a couple of reviews earlier and you have my basic opinion of the matter as well.
Gameplay: See above.
Graphics: Seen better. In fact, seen much better. Ports aren't always what they are cracked up to be and this one just goes to prove it.
Sound: Sound is more annoying than anything else. Maybe just put on some loud music and turn the sound off on this one, perhaps ;)
Suggestions: A PC port? You can't be serious.... well.... then again :0

Overall: I absolutely hated this game. It just plain sucked! It sucked on the pc and it sucks on the Xbox. Maybe some people like it, but I just hated it. Rent it before you buy, is my suggestion.
Gameplay: The game was just dumb. Give me Unreal, Half Life, hell... even give me Quake 1 before this crap again :p
Graphics: Graphics were ok, I guess. Looked just like the PC version. People with bombs for heads don't require much polys I suppose :0
Sound: Sound was ok as well. But just like the PC version, what more can you expect from a game that all you hear is "aaaaahhhh", "bang", "aaaaaahhhhh", well you get the idea.
Suggestions: Don't bother with a sequel.

Overall: Excellent game with high replayability value. Stunning sound and great visuals, definitely worth the price. Buy it!
Gameplay: Non-stop fast paced action. Forget about Halo or other 'thinking' shooters, this is 'THE MOTHER OF ALL FPS'!!!
Graphics: Nice visuals although more details would be nice. But since this game displays hundreds of enemies at once, I can't say anything bad.
Sound: Terrific sounds and music, maybe the best I heard so far. 5.1 surround support helps a lot determining where enemies are coming from.

Overall: Serious Sam for XBox shows how a PC to console conversion is all about. Not only do you not have to worry about frame rate (which is stable) but the graphics and models are also improved. If you like games like UT2k3 or Quake 3 you should get this game.
Gameplay: Very fast gameplay. Non-Stop Action. 100s Enemies on Screen At One Time. Goofy Humor and An Arsenal of Super Weapons.
Graphics: This game looks really good compared to other FPS on consoles. The graphics in the cut-scenes are also really good.
Sound: Awesome sound track. The music and exitment go up at the same time which gives it that fast paced feel.

Overall: This game is really a great game, it should have gotten more publicity, because it is such a great game. But its a different type of great game, not like Halo, not like DeathRow, but like a Serrious great (lol, sorry i had to crack a serrious joke)... The game is a BLAST to play, totally action packed! If you have NEVER played Serrious Sam, its a rush and a half, HELLA fun levels to play, awesome guns to blast away with, its like Quake 3 Arena on Speed, with 100* the bad guys! Split screen is the BOMB to play (though it does slow down a bit, its still great fun). It looks like a true XBox game, CroTeam did an excelent job on the PC title, and did an equally creditalbe job on the XBox version. I recomend you play this game once in your life, its a sure Rent, and a probable buy. The only down side to the game is that... Well its a flat shooter; meaning all you do is kill kill kill, and also avoid some traps here and there, BUT like i said the levels ARE THE BOMB! Totally fun to play, i have seen some things done in this games levels NEVER DONE IN ANY OTHER GAME! Its a very original game in-itself, but at the same time not.
Gameplay: Wow, its fun, i love the guns, so many to play with... There isn't much to say about the gameplay, its pretty much a straight forward shooter. But the game always has you doing some sort of task, (for a retro example: getting the DOOM keys) for example, aligning an alien radar so you can enter a room, but this is no easy task, first you have to searh that (particular) map and find the 3 switches to get the radar to align, all along the way fighting hundreds of bad guys, and even HUGE BOSSES! Once you pick this game up (EVEN IF YOU ARE TIRED OF Quake 3 Arena [or any other FPSooter]) Serrious Sam is a Serrious Blast to play.
Graphics: The game looks great, the levels are HUGE! The span miles (well not really but sure as hell are massive) the level design is for the most part, great! Some original cosepts set into alot of the levels, for example: in one level you enter a massive room, and see a curve on the floor that looks like a wave (peaking out at the top and going flat) ...it looks like there is no where to go, but if you just keep walking forward you'll see your character (Sam) can walk UP THE WAVE! Its crazy cool, you actually walk up the wave at a 90degree angle to the floor you were just on, FIGHTING BAD GUYS AT THE SAME TIME!
Sound: Well, err there are alot of sounds in the game, pretty average, but NOT at all annoying. The guns are guns, and the bad guys make sounds too. Nothing wrong in this department/just nothing done super-well (but who really cares).

Overall: If you own an XBox, there's no reason you shouldn't buy this game. Even if you've already played through the PC games, you'll love having it all in one package, as well as being able to play new levels with new skins. The new cutscenes themselves are enough to cover the price of admission. Combine this with endless hours of entertainment, comedy, and high-fiving co-op action with your friends, and you've got what promises to be one of the most fun games in existence.

Gameplay: One of the many strange things you'll encounter are phone booths amidst the fray. These are your save game points, and are usually located just before/after large, difficult battles. Whenever you run out of lives, or turn off your console, your last save game point will be where you start from again. However, the abundance of lives makes these next to useless, aside from when you decide to take a break to refill your caffeine supply. By the final boss battle, I had well over 160 lives. Because of having so many lives, the stress of trying desperately to stay alive in the PC games is completely eliminated. All that's left for you to do is sit back, take aim(optional), hit the trigger, and have fun. One of the nice little features included in the game is temporary invulnerability upon respawning. After dying, you get five seconds before respawning should you choose not to immediately get back in the action. Once you respawn, you get three seconds of invulnerability to prepare for current threats. This is very helpful should you spawn in the center of a circle of kleer skeletons...

Graphics: Sam is a dated game, there's no denying that. The first game came out over a year and a half ago, while the more recent Second Encounter isn't quite as old, it didn't really feature that big of a graphics improvement. Serious Sam: XBox doesn't improve much, if any, on its PC ancestors. However, just because it isn't up to date with the latest build of the Unreal Engine or Doom III doesn't mean it looks bad. In fact, it's the complete opposite. Serious Sam continues to look amazing on the Xbox, as it has on the PC for over two years.

Sound: In addition to excellent graphics, Serious Sam: XBox also has amazing sound and music. Damjan Mravunac's work is nothing short of exemplary, engaging you in the best fight music ever to be included in a game. During a heavy firefight the tempo and volume of the music picks up, and while you're running around waiting for the next wave it slows down some into a more moderate, but still awesome, beat. Firing away at tons of enemies while rockets explode all around you, the music thumps, and enemies explode while sitting on your couch with the surround sound turned up has to be experienced to be believed.

Overall: cant get enough of this game!! been playing it on pc for over 2 years and havent stopped. Now thats addictive
Gameplay: The gameplay is reminiscent of doom which I loved playing and played for many years. With the exception that there are about 500% more monsters on the screen at any one time than doom. And their all gunnin for you... have a nice day :-)
Graphics: the only word for this is Stunningly huge and well layed out (both gameplay and historically) levels but with a cartoonish feel.
Sound: heh nother one word explination. OUCH! the sound is so lively and well done that i can almost feel the minigun's trigger
Suggestions: more monster types and some more weapons would be nice. Other than that its just about perfect... just need some vehicles to get across those large areas sometimes.

Overall: Hords of headless freaks and the biggest collection of weird and exoctic creatures from all across the universe ever created, and all you're armed with is a double barreled shotgun.
oh yeah!
This game is worth getting a new X-BOX, because once you buy it, you'll never want to eject the game.
Gameplay: This game is truly prefect, you enter several large arena style areas through the game, where you must face several hundred enemys. The raw rush from watching your ammo counter dwindle and perish, while hords headless soldiers assult towards you.
The multiplayer mode is also a true winner, I still have no idea how Croteam managed to enshure such addictive multiplayer gameplay while mantaining an enjoyable single player game.
Graphics: The visuals of this game are nothing less than awsome, honestly there are times where you must face several hundred highly detailed enemys.
Sound: The ambient sound seamlessly treansitions as the game progresses.
Often the sound you've been hearing throught the level is infact one of the things which you must face off.
