Overall: This is a tight game it combines the water sport I like with the game system i love. If you dont have it you gotta get it is a must play for all you jetskiers and xbox lovers.
Gameplay: a lot of gameplay ability, this game provides hours of fun competing for the best in the jet ski championship
Graphics: awsome water affects its so real I just wish there were morebonus icons i could go after and a little more 3-d on the tree works and the hole backround
Sound: I love the fact that I can listen to my own downloaded music instead of some crapy water works music like on assault of the cartographer in halo
Suggestions: Make it more of a stunt game then a race game give more stunts and bigger jumps, and maybe make the girls a little hotter

Overall: its a pretty cool game. i wouldnt buy it though. but its a good rental. i think it might be as good as waverace.
Gameplay: the gameplay is pretty good too. the controls are really good. it was easy to just pick up and play. the stunts are really cool too, and i like the stunt meter. its really fun to go all the way out, and get thrown back by that thing. lol. its really fun to do the thing when you go underwater, then come up and do a flip. its so awesome.
Graphics: the visuals in this game are really good. the water looks really awesome, i think it might be better than bloodwake. the characters also look really good.
Sound: this game has pretty good sound. the engines sound really good and everything. the voices kinda suck though. theyre a little repetetive.
Suggestions: make the levels bigger, and put some secret things in there (secret things when you go exploring). other than that, its a really good game.

Overall: Splashdown is a fun game. Fun races good courses, it's a overal good game. I think it's a game for everyone, and hopefully you will try it out.
Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty good, and smooth, but with the original Xbox controller it makes it kind of hard. Yet, the gameplay is still good.
Graphics: Very realistic water, and rider models. The water has waves, and some even crack! Grass and trees look very nice also. Plus this game has been upgraded from the PS2 verson!
Sound: Great sound in this game! Well, that is if you like punk, haha. This is more of a punk sound track. But you can also burn your CD on to the Xbox Harddrive and listen to it on this game as well..
Suggestions: Keep the good games coming, I will look for a sequel!

Overall: Solid jet-ski racing action, lots of levels. A port, but not a bad one. Very nice graphics, easy to pick up and play.
Gameplay: This is a solid racer that will give you hours of action, but it's an arcade racer at the core with little arcade fun to go along with it.
Graphics: Very good graphics, especially considering it's a port. Viewpoint is too distant to make you really feel the action though.
Sound: I don't pay much attention to sound most of the time. Nothing horrible, nothing amazing.
Suggestions: Bring the viewpoint closer to the jet-skier, add power-ups and more creative tracks.

Overall: Fun! Fun! Fun! This is one fun game! I love the look, the feel, and the overall game has a nice flow to it. I like that you can play another friend and the career mode too. The water is gorgeous! Give this a try!
Gameplay: I love the career mode and the one on one races are cool too. The water and the craft's physics are dead on. A really good sim even though they probably wanted an arcade feel. Fun game!
Graphics: Here is where Splashdown is tops! The water is unbelievable! The best I have ever seen! Simply gorgeous and the physics of the craft in the air and water are awesome!
Sound: Sounds are just fine. I'd like more comentary if that was possible. The music is awesome since it is by real rock bands. Nice touch!
Suggestions: expand the career mode and add comentary!

Overall: This is a 5 STAR game for everyone. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Any low rating is just plain stupid, this game is fun and worth every penny.
Gameplay: The gameplay is perfect and accurate. What you can do with the wave runners is pretty freaking cool. The levels are awesome, You can't wait to finish one to see what next one is like.
Graphics: The graphics blew me away. The water looks unbelievable, very real. The levels all look great and the camera angles really show of the game.
Sound: The music is to be expected. A mixture of punk style and normal everyday radio tunes. The great thing is if you have music on your harddrive the game automaticly finds it and mixs it in with the original tunes.
Suggestions: Make another one and make is online, and have a better create a player mode!!!
Go buy this game, I know I sound like someone who works for the company or something, but the truth is you can't go wrong with this game, its just plain fun and will last you enough time to get the value of your purchace.

Overall: This is my first review and Im gonna have to tell you some info about me. Im a gamer, which is hard to please. I only have 4 Xbox games and 1 Gamecube game(Well preorded Mario). So for me getting this game should say alot if your a difficult chooser like me.Now back to Splash Down. This game is one of the greatest Xbox titles out there.Cruising through the tracks at max speed running over ramps. Ducking under obstacles. Finding hidden passage ways by going through or doing the un-do able. This game is Pure fun in a DVD! Doing awsome tricks with the tap of TWO buttons. Holding them down hoping you have enough time to build up your Performance Bar. Fortanly in this game No Pain = Gain. Or esle I wouldnt be here right now :).The Gameplay revovles around 2 buton combos.
Gameplay: Steering through twist and turns. Leaning to dodge obstacles. Finding hidden routes to obtain hidden items. The Gameplay to this game is very appealing. 27 normal moves and 9 signature moves for each of the 9 characters. (Some you have to obtain by versing them in carrier mode). Playing the game through normal is pleasing enough. 3 Laps and 5 players. You have to get 2nd in race. Every so-often you get to challenge a indiviual person to obtain them to play. None of the levels look the same either. All are pretty custom to their own look. Many levels (If not most) have untracked parts of it. Some of them might be guarded by a squid looking monster that you cant dodge (sadly). Also I am sorry if I have typos got a new keyboard and not used to it yet.Visual Appeal is great it could be better though.
Graphics: Graphics are a little above average for a racing game. Water is neat. Many gamers and I are sick of the paper looking trees though. We got the technology to make trees look good (DoA3). Why not make them look good? Sadly alot of games have plastic trees and this one does also. Also the crowd is pretty cheap also. Its like the game "Paper Mario."Except more like "Paper Crowd!"Outside of that the game has a pretty neat visual appeal. Trailing through the shinney water trying to miss the "hole" trailing your enemies jetsky. The character models are cool and each indiviually made. Non of them really look the same. The jetskies do look the same though just different coloring for most of them. The Levels have alot of detail but I wish gaming companies lost the "Paper" look for crowd and trees.
Sound: Splashdown has a great soundtrack to listen to while playing through the game. It also takes the ablity of your harddrive so you can played burned songs while playing the game. The sound effects are cool also. Listening to your player go "Ouuchh.." and "Cya at the finish line.. Losser" as he/she stumbles upon a obstacle or passes someone up.Thats about all for the sound.
Suggestions: More players.. Only 2 Come on!! I wanted to play tag. Add more modes to Versus.Loose the paper appeal please. Great game non the less. Keep up the good work!

Overall: The thing that attracts me so much about this game is that it's flat out racing with the fun of racing on a completely dynamic track. The water movement, balance of the watercraft and judgement of the surface of the waves makes this racing game a little different than most out there.
The visuals are pretty !&%$@#* impressive. The models are a little to be desired and the splash effects are not the most impressive(but are effective in their physical nature), but the water is absolutely AMAZING. I have never seen water done this way in a game before. I thought it looked great on the PS2. The few levels that were made for the Xbox exclusively look rediculously realistic.
The tracks, though somewhat similar, do vary in their methods of racing, locales, shortcuts, and effects.
All in all this game is enjoyable and very approachable. It is nice to have a game about recreational activity and done with such fluidity.
Gameplay: Though I figured out the controls very quickly and quite easily, I have experienced that some do need some time to figure out the physics. The physics are a bit forgiving in this game and are pretty loose, but it actually doesn't make the game aggrivating. Slamming into the water, submarining, jumping and doing tricks are VERY simple tasks, and always should be in the case of a game. There is just something enjoyable about speeding along water that looks like REAL water! The mechanics can be a little cheesey and the AI can screw you over, like placing you infront of a jump just after you bailed only to find that you can't get over the jump without more distance and velocity. All in all though very enjoyable.
Graphics: I can understand that the models, watercraft, splashes and environments would seem to be a bit of a let down but that is only because of the amazing job they did with the water and the lighting. Seeing a setting sun and the sky reflected by a realistically transluscent liquid(water, duh) is almost photorealistic. Its not like that in every level, but for the most part, THIS is the benchmark that they should use for all water. It reacts to your craft, to surrounding changes in the environment(not weather) by creeping and breaking apart up the banks of the riverside, and it even reacts to you flying through the air and sinking into it. You have to see it to understand how nice a job they did with H2O. Not the best models, but the water is great!
Sound: The sounds in the game are pretty mediocre. It has the generic boring new punk soundtrack including all your sounding the same bands like Blink 182, Sum 41, SRD71, Sum 182, SRD41, Blink 71, Blum 1871 41, 41 Sum Blink, SRD Sum Blink 182 41 71.....you get the picture. They let you put your own soundtrack on, but you can't save that as a setting which is annoying. Other than that there are a few voice overs, that are lost in the noise of the race, of the riders when they go ahead or fall beind. They aren't interesting unless its a funny accent a la Raphael. But I could do with better scripted sayings. Not the best, but you still get that great option of adding music, which should be in EVERY racing game.
Suggestions: How about a stunt mode? More interaction with the tracks, but still stick to the original idea of racing. Less bands with numbers in their names and more chords in their songs.

Overall: This game is ok for rental but seems to get old pretty fast.
Gameplay: I think the best part of the game is the cool tricks and backflips. There is no analog (trigger) accelerator control. What's up with that??
I do approve of the physics of how the machines move, for the most part. I think it's fake that you can cruise at 70mph then just lean forward a little to submarine. Yeah right!?
Graphics: It's pretty nice but nothing special. The "splashes" weren't very convincing.
Sound: I music tracks were nice, but the lyrics were for mature audiences.
Suggestions: This should be a $20 game.

Overall: I don't normally enjoy racing games, I am more into the adventure games, but when my son handed me the controller, he didn't get it back.
Gameplay: Of course that would be because the first hour I did nothing but crash into things, but after you get the hang of it, it is addicting. Some of the characters are hard to handle, but that could be because I am new at this. The courses are varied in different countries & here at home, it's a different feel every time you race.
Graphics: The water is realistic, & the characters are sweet. It is what you would expect to see at a real event if you were a racer.
Sound: The music is terrific, and you can adjust it any way you like it, and pick your soundtrack for certain races. The wetbikes sound real, they stall & the splashes when crashing are definately an annoying sound when you WERE in the lead and now all of the sudden your at the back of the pack.
