Overall: A great concept that didn't turn out exactly the way I'd hoped. 3 Different control schemes make the game a bit frustrating.
Gameplay: Overall not a very bad game, but some of the missions have tedious objectives that simply aren't very fun.
Graphics: Cool cel-shaded graphics reflect the style of the Macross series. They pulled this off pretty well.
Sound: Full voice and a decent soundtrack, the rest of the sounds are fine too, but nothing special really.
Suggestions: Take more time with your next title, this game could have been awesome

Overall: Whoooohooooo. I love the show when I was younger and I was all excited about this game. The one thing the missed was online play.
Gameplay: I love the game play. It was hard at first to get my fingers to transform, but after a while I got a hang of it and then It was time to rock.
Graphics: I really liked the Cell Shading because it gave the game a very good cartoonish look that made me think of the show. I also liked shooting out all the missles, that was awesome.
Sound: It was ok music, But I really enjoyed the fact that they brought in the origional voices to the game which added even more Flare to the game.
Suggestions: I love you all for making me remmember my childhood....

Overall: Holy Moses from the temple, they finally made a decent video game about my obsession: Robotech! Largely based around the Macross Saga from the cartoon we all love, and even employing some of the same voice talent from the original show, Robotech: Battlecry is a great 3rd person shooter with a bit of strategy thrown in for good times.
Gameplay: You'd think the fact that pretty much every single button has a function would make this game impossible to play or at least very frustrating. I was amazed to find how fast I was getting used to changing shape, executing a barrel roll and popping off decoys in no time at all!
Graphics: Me likes the cel shading. I know, some think it looks a little 2D, but trust me folks, the cel-shaded smoke effect trailing behind the ships you've hit is pretty awesome.
Sound: I wish they'd used the original soundtrack but the new one sticks closely to the music from the series. It's great to hear the voice-overs from the original Lisa Hayes, and the 5.1 sound proves once again why XBox is superior.
Suggestions: Bring us a Southern Cross game, now now now!

Overall: It's good the first time, I haven't played it in a while, since I don't think there is great replay value. I mean, even the Multiplayer isn't the bomb.
Gameplay: The game lasts a while, and with some difficulties. The control scheme takes a little learning curve, and there are lots of levels.
Graphics: It's cell shaded, which i think is cool, since its based on a cartoon. But it's fuzzy. Is cell shading supposed to be fuzzy?
Sound: Repettetive sounds and phrases get a little annoying after a while. But the weapons sound realistic. :)

Overall: Well, it does have a cool stetting, and the graphics are pretty, but this game is frustrating. That's not challenging, but frustrating.
Gameplay: Choosing between three forms of your veritech on fly, you take on your giant oppressors in mostly fun missions set all over the world and in space. The problem, this game is stupidly difficult.
Graphics: Almost perfect. The problems, well, this is a ps2 game and it shows in that respect. Also, The cities do not look distinct at all.
Sound: Good music, sound effects and better voice acting make this a treat. But I don't play games for the sound.
Suggestions: This could have been awesome, but you tried to fake a lasting gameplay experience by making it frustratingly hard. Heck, we even sunk so low as to use cheat codes and the game was still hard.

Overall: robotech is one of my faver cartoons i've been waited a long time for a 3d robotic game to come out. and it's worth the waiting the best ever game made based on cartoon series.
Gameplay: just like the cartoon it's self it has a very good story line. and the felling of countrolling the plane it self is ansome. a must have for fans of robotech.

Graphics: some of the peopel said the game is too colorful and look like a n64 crap. please this is a remake of the anime ofcourse it need the feel of it. but if u never watch any anime then....

Sound: great sound feels exacally like the movie it's self. good voice acting. just everything is good.....

Overall: A combination of horrible cel shading, semi-hard to pick up controlls, repetitive game play, makes this game a rent at most.
Gameplay: Oh-Hum... Fun Fun Fun... Or is it? a little repetitive. i would recomend a rent only cause it gets repetitive fast, this game isn't worthy of the XBox.
Graphics: I don't care for cel shading, but then again this game is off of some out-dated robo-tech 80's-cartoon. (i bet i just made some enemies). The poly cout is a joke it probably has as complicated mech models as Quake 1, the general textures suck big time, but whatever, its a game. In short the GFX are a total joke and not worth even 1/10th of the $50 you used to pay for it!
Sound: Ok music i guess no downers here. But as long as there is sound what's to say unless you can tell its horrible.

Overall: I never watched the TV show. The game itself is fun and great, but gets repetative a little too soon.
Gameplay: It's nice to have 3 robot modes. Controlls seem a little tough compared to a regular FPS type game. The storyline is fun because you feel like you're in the cartoon.
Graphics: Lots of bright colorfull graphics. Too bad I never saw the show.
Sound: gotta love the soundtrack

Overall: For die-hard fans of the '80s television series...this is by far the coolest game you could have ever asked for! The confidence shown by Viscious Cycle to give a true representation of the show, rather than an "interpreted view" shines through in graphics, sound, gameplay, and shear nostalgia. Unbelievable!
Gameplay: The booster, two choices of buttons for weapons in each mode, a "Special Ability" button, plus the arcade style flight response is top notch. The quick-change system for converting from battloid, to guardian, to veritech can be a tad confusing at first, as it's the D-pad that is used. maybe the new S-controller would work better. Still, it handles like a dream.
Graphics: I think the concept of Cell Shading was created for this game. What eye candy. Throughout all the levels you'll be completely enthralled, even if you put down the controller and just watch. However, the flight (veritech majority) levels come off much better than the land-based levels. Which is like saying that a Lamborghini is better than a Mercedes...they both still kick major butt compared to a Cavalier!
Sound: Straight out of the TV series. original actor's voices, original music from the show, even sound effects are reused from the series which makes for a great overall sound experience.
Suggestions: For the die-hard Robotech fan, this game will never dull. However, for the casual gamer, this game will stimulate until completion, but ultimately get tossed in with the old pile of "Beaten Games".

A note to Viscious Cycle...eliminate the "voice over still frames" narration in between scenes. If enough time is put into crisp clear animation for the story interludes between levels, this game would have people drooling.

Overall: I bought the game because of a couple reviews. I kept thinking I was just missing something because it was so bad. I could swear I was playing a Nintendo 64. Maybe I have come to expect so much more by playing games such as Halo, RalliSport, Gotham and so on.
Gameplay: If you liked Nintendo 64, this game is great. I loved the 64 when it was the best thing out there, but there has been much advances in technology.
Graphics: Again, if you liked Nintendo 64, this game will make you feel right at home. It had a real cartoonish look. Not much texture detail. I have come to expect more realism. For example, missle and bullet trails are pretrty much "old" solid lines, I mean if you appreciate the realistic looking smoke effects in many games today, you will definitely be disappointed.
Sound: The sound was the best part of this game, but it was not good. It has a real "arcade" sound. I did not detect any stereo or surround effect.
Suggestions: From a company financial standpoint, I would suggest keep doing what they are doing because the game was $50 bucks, the same as Halo and other games that surely must have been much more expensive to develop. But if you want my money in the future, quit porting inferior games.

Overall: The game everyone has been waiting for is finally here and believe me brother it does not disappoint. Everything from the the opening sequences, which are totally reminiscent of the series, to the incredibly vivid anime style graphics makes this game great and perhaps an instant classic especially for fans. I instantly felt like I was participating in a japanese animated cartoon as I watched it. A feeling I dont think any other game has ever been able to acheive. This is the first cel-shaded game I have played that actually accomplishes what it set out to do which is make you feel as though you were actually in the animated world being depicted on screen. Bottom line. I'm hooked
Gameplay: Some reviews I have read complain a lot about the controls. Why, I dont know. It took me all of 5 minutes to gain a competent feel for all the basic controls in all 3 modes. I can already tell that once I master them the game will take on a whole new feel. You can do it all in this game. Barrel roll and shoot simultaneously, perform ariel stunts, and transform to battleloid mode inorder to attack more accurately. And you really get the sense of being in the midst of a hectic dog fight with missles and weapons fire constantly going off around you. It's awesome but not easy. Luckily you can destroy incoming missles in Battloid mode which can definitely save your butt when your getting pelted by multiple enemies. In fact your veritech handles well in all three modes and looks super cool when it transforms. The transformations are quick and extremely well animated. Mastering all three modes will take some time most especially guardian mode but so far I dont see anything awkard about the controls themselves. The only downfall I can see right now is the fact that you dont use the right thumbstick to sight your targets or strafe like in the Armored Core series. But the setup they have which is to use the triggers to strafe in Battloid mode or roll sideways in fighter mode seems to be just as affective.
Graphics: Just as I had hoped for awesome, stunning, and totally super cool graphics make this game instantly appealing for any anime fan. Like I mentioned before it really feels like you are interacting with the animation instead of just watching it. All the Veritechs, battlepods, and larger ships look incredibly detailed. The buildings are fully destructible which helps add greater sense of psuedo-realism. I was completely impressed. I just hope they can keep up this standard when it comes to making other cel-shaded games.
Sound: The music seems to go very well with the gamplay. It sounds like they took the music from the series which helps give you an even greater sense that your interacting with the animation. Call it nostalgia but it really pulled me in. The voice overs are cool but I can imagine that some people might find them annoying or repetitive. But I like what I hear so far so I'm going to give it a thumbs up.
Suggestions: You guys did a great job. I just hope that there is a sequel.

Overall: This game is the best Robotech game ever created. It actually captures the feel of the war between the SDF-1 and the Zentreadi. I was waiting for this game for a long time and I have to say that I am not disappointed at all. This game is great, the bosses are difficult and the story line is fantastic. I truly enjoy playing it because it's Robotech and also because I haven't seen a game that mimics a cartoon so well.
Gameplay: The controls take some getting use to especially because there are three different configurations for your Veritech fighter. All in all the game is very smooth and you feel like your really in heavy combat with your enemy. The only problem I see is with the camera angles, I often find myself shooting off the screen at my enemy. This isn't so bad on the story mode but it really makes the versus mode more difficult.
Graphics: The graphics are top, they really mimic the color and style of the cartoon very well. I enjoy just flying around and looking at the cool effects. It's fun to get real close to an enemy ship, change to battleoid mode and stand on top of it shooting down the enemy pods that fly by.
Sound: The sound is right from the cartoon. All of the music and explosions, even the sound of the battloid walking on the ground is straight from the anime.
