Overall: I want the 2 hours of my life back! This game is a true flop. The game did not appeal to me in any way, shape or form. I was happy to finally trade it in for MVP Baseball. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this game. Mostly the gameplay is what drew me away.
Gameplay: This was the worst aspect of the game. I couldn't even figure out how to hit the darn ball. Fielding was ok but not great. Pitching was a pain in the neck. I just couldn't bring my self to even playing three games. It just frustrated the heck out of me.
Graphics: This department was good. The visuials were clean, the animation was fantastic. It really did look nice and appealing.
The ballparks themselves were the most impressive. Very realistic and it was great to see some of the attractions at any given ballpark. I especially enjoyed seeing the ones that I have been to.
The player models were to scale and overall the players looks realistic. They did good with the facial aspects. Still could've used improvment though and it didn't come close to pushing the Xbox's limits or capabilites.
Sound: The sound was average. Nothing that made my jaw drop. Everything sounded semi-realistic and the music was proper for the mood and setting. I really enjoyed hearing the sounds of the different ballparks.
Suggestions: Make it easier to play. Don't make the gameplay any more difficult than it has to be.

Overall: overall a good baseball game, was expecting more and was let down, graphics sucked, but gameplay was really realistic. didnt use x-box capabilities to the fullest Ive been playing this game for a couple months and havent really gotten sick of it, ive played every baseball game out there and this is still the most realistic but its definetly not the best when it comes to graphics. Batting interface is also very difficult even after youve played the game for a while. I still have trouble getting a hold of certain pitches.
Gameplay: most realistic baseball game I've played. controls could use work but homeruns are awsome the camera is sweet when you hiy it out of the park, batting is very difficult also. Which is a good thing IMO.
Graphics: Could have been 100 times better played the ps2 and graphics were horrible was hoping x-box version would step it up but sadly it didnt
Sound: nothing special at all. Generic baseball sounds some half decent commentary. The ball hitting the bat is very erotic. Very kinky. Sounds like wood knockin balls around.
Suggestions: Ummmm no more ps2 graphics... booo

Overall: This was an ok game i've played all 5 of the new baseball games and this one is probably in 4th:

1. WSB 2k3
2.MVP baseball 2003
3. HHB 2004
4. This game
5. Slugfest 2004
Gameplay: I find the game mode boring and kind of complicated it gets boring unlike WSB and MVP.
Graphics: Not bad better than HHB and Slugfest but not the other two but pretty good. Fields look good.
Sound: The sound was boring and not really that good. The best sounding baseball game is probably slugfest.

Overall: Obviously this is a baseball game. It has the basic modes that all do and is a decent game that is worht your time
Gameplay: The pitching and batter interface is decent. I would have liked if the controlls were a bit more tight. Infielding and throwing is easy to pick up on. However Tripple Play has better controls imo.
Graphics: Decent graphics and colors. They could have pushed for more details and used the xbox's power much more.
Sound: All-star baseball does a good job of incorperating the sound in this game. High heat has better sound then this but its still aboe average
Suggestions: If your big on baseball games that rent this one out. It could suit your taste but for me i am stickign with MVP all the way

Overall: overall this game is ok. It doesnt woo me. Its ok if it was the only baseball game out there but its not. If you like fast paced, and decent graphics in a baseball game then this is your kind of game.
Gameplay: The gameplay is realistic. It plays smoothly and it does things rights. I just hate that its kinda hard to react to its quick speed of pitching.
Graphics: I personally hate the graphics. It has nice stadiums but the view and overall graphics are pretty ugly.
Sound: The music is ok. I mean the music doesnt do anything in a baseball game. Its just there to add style to the game.
Suggestions: improve the graphics and make it a little easier to hit

Overall: What a great game. The best baseball game I have played in a long, long time. I haven't really played any other All Star Baseball games so the pitching system was new to me and I love it (moving the cursor to the pitch location). It makes the game much more realistic, enjoyable, and suspenseful. Yes, that's right, suspenseful, just imagine being in an 18 inning overtime game (I was playing against a friend).

Oh yeah, lots not forget the Multiplayer, 4 players at a time. That's great, and as far as I know, a first with a baseball game.

Great game.
Gameplay: Good controls, realistic setup, great pitching and batting system, everything is very very smooth. The gameplay really shines
Graphics: The graphics don't fully take advantage of the XBox, but there aren't many games that do. The graphics aren't bad, but they could have been better.
Sound: The commentators get really detailed with the pitches, hits, and plays, which I really really liked.
Suggestions: XBox Live.

Overall: ASB04 has nearly everything you could want from a baseball game except a good baseball engine. We didn't even mention all of the great old school players from the Dead Ball era, Negro Leagues and post WWII legends featured in the game since it would probably just frustrate everybody even more.
The game improved the feature set from ASB 03, but that's it. The baseball engine isn't strong enough for Acclaim Austin to get away with a few extremely cool cosmetic upgrades wrapped around the same subpar baseball game. We were dazzled in 1998 by the N64 game but we're baffled today by the limited evolution of the gameplay.

The initial promise of online gameplay through Xbox Live fell through for whatever reasons, but we still have to hold Acclaim accountable for that promise. The downloadable rosters will be nice but it's nowhere near what we were expecting.

Gameplay: If a player batted .600 he'd be a legend. Unfortunately six out of 10 here means somebody's just not trying to make this baseball fun.
Graphics: There are too many things that just don't look right and they're all right next to things that look really impressive. Just not a good mix.... i would rather it all look sub-par almost.
Sound: Ahora en Espanol! Spanish announcing, walk-up music and crowd sound effects are all topnotch. Custom soundtracks and even more audio samples would be nice.
Suggestions: fix the gameplay... it is just blech.

and PLEEEAAAAAASEEE put as much effort as u did in the good things graphically wise to the whole game.... if that makes any sense to you.

Overall: All-Star Baseball 2004 is a good baseball game, but not one of the better ones. It could have been an amazing game, but the developer has turned it into just a standard baseball game. Baseball fans might want to pick this one or maybe rent it, but its a bad choice, especially if you have better baseball games like WorldSeries Baseball 2K3 or MVP Baseball 2003. However, the game has fair visuals and sound, but it suffers mostly from gameplay. Rent it, but don't expect a great game.
Gameplay: All-Star Baseball 2004 includes many modes such as Franchise Mode and Home-Run Derby. Whats good is that it includes many great special features, for example a baseball trivia game. The controls are somehow messed up, especially since its really hard to hit the ball. Pitching isn't good either. The problem with these annual sports games is that they come out every year, so improvement can happen more frequently, but there isn't enough time for it. The developers also concentrate on one aspect of the game, while no caring about another one. The game also has some downloadable content, such as rosters, but it doesn't make the game too much better. Gameplay is fun for a short while, but that short while isn't too good either, since batting gets more and more frusturating.
Graphics: Visuals are the better part of the game, but aren't still perfect. Player faces, baseball stadiums, and animations are well done, but could still be improved. In other words, don't push your luck. Early screenshots may have looked great, but on the inside, the visuals are a bit worse.
Sound: Sound is good and thats all there is to say about it. Sound effects such as batting contact and crowds are good, but could be much better. The commentator announcements are probably the finest part of sound, but Acclaim could push the sound a bit further.
Suggestions: There are tons of suggestions, but I have probably already made my point. It is certain that Acclaim will release All-Star Baseball 2005, because they always do. Xbox LIVE online play would be nice, instead of simple roster downloads.
