Overall: Great game ! Everytime I have the guys
over for beers and put this game on
there's nothing but smiles and laughs
(particularly when I show the zoom
feature) If you're looking for an in depth
storyline or something than it's not for
you, however if you want to play a game
that takes less than five minutes to learn
(and that's priority for a party game)
than it rocks. Girls are hot ! I - like most
real men could stare - gawking at the
*graphics* for hours. One of the funnest
games I've ever owned ! Keep producing
these games Xbox!
Gameplay: A little awkward, but it's mostly because
the controls working with the camera and
the babes positioning. If you want to
succeed one needs to think more about
position on the court than spiking or
setting. More of an with issue with
controls. Too much to handle managing 2
girls positioning at once - would have
been perfect had tecmonic added some
sort of partner automation options like
"keep back" or "stay to my leftright"
options.
Graphics: Nerfing awesome ! Girls are hot, graphics
are super sweet. Lovin every minute of it
! All games should set this as the bar for
graphics!
Sound: Works like a charm ! Just wish you could
over-ride the terrible music when
gambling. Maybe add a casino radio
station.
Suggestions: 1. The girls autopicking of outfits Krimm!
no fashion cordination skills at all. No
real concept of choosing an outfit !
example if lisa hase leopards shoes -
don't put them on unless they match the
bikini. Also the concept of wearing heels
or dress shoes on the court is just stupid
and looks bad.
2. Add autmation settings to for partner:
options like "keep back" or "stay to my
leftright" options.
3. Suntan lotion or sunblock really does't
work. Should be able to own 6 bottles
she should continue to apply on her own
until it runs out.
4. Should be able to give a gift to your
partner durng the day (like food to wake
her up)
5. Should be able have girls not wear
some bikini : some really suck back - blah
6. Online and downloadable bikinis !
7. More, more and more! Please !

Overall: If you are looking for a game that with hot looking anime girls this is the game for you, if you are looking for a volleyball game forget about it!
Gameplay: The gameplay was horrible, only 2 buttons to push and you have to push the button hard or soft in order to get the desired result. The problem with this is that if you want to spike the ball you can't always make your player jump up in the air for an attempt. Sometimes she will just hit the ball over to the other side of the court. I wish someone would explain to me why this game is not for 4 players also. I have heard that it is because of the camera system which I find ridiculious. You can only play 2 players and then you can't even be on the same team if you want!! Basically this game is more like The Sims rather than a volleyball game because you have to keep your partner happy buying things and you have to do well in the matches or she will leave you.
Graphics: This game is one of the best looking games there is. I can't deny that it is absolutely great looking and as a added bonus the have some very nice looking woman in it. Like I said if you want to just look at the screen this is the game for you.
Sound: The main reason I gave the game a 5 here is because you can use custom soundtracks and I always like it when they let you do that. More games should put this feature in. The only thing was that it seemed to me that you could not play the custom tracks during a game only in the menus. It is possible that I just did not figure out the correct way to do it though.
Suggestions: Let's see..... gameplay should come first and everything else second. Remember that the Xbox has 4 controller ports so it might be a good idea to allow four people to play the game. Live support might also be nice.

Overall: This game is good. Its obvious that us Americans have different tastes look at how well it did in Japan....!
Gameplay: Gameplay is unique. Vollyball matches are intense because in order to get a partner you have to give gifts. So when oyu do find a partner you don't want to pis them off by loosing. 2 button gameplay is simple in theory but execution is another stroy. Its no shallow experience by any means. I will say that shopping is probly 40 percent of gameplay with 40% more vollyball and 20% oogling at the television screen..=)
If your gonna play games why not with beautiful women.
Graphics: Do I even need to explain. The visual is so good it drives you to open up more swimsuits for them to be able to wear. I want them all including the 1 million dollar almost near invisible one.
Sound: I love the songs here that came with the game all chick songs this whole game is an omage to women. I cant see myself using the custom soundtrack. Sounds are cute Japanese/American noises.
Suggestions: We have the M rating...LETS USE IT!!!!! This game is unique to America so dont take some SHELL SHOCKED bad opinions the wrong way, this type of game really has its place here in the states...Especially with the HOT 3D Women.

Overall: I can't say enough about Dead or Alive Xtreme Volleyball. It is a fresh game and is a ton of fun. It has well developed characters (in more ways than one!), beautiful graphics, and smooth gameplay.
Gameplay: I am addicted to this game. It reminds me of the Sims in that it's hard to put down. You find yourself wanting to play just one more volleyball match to get enough money to buy a swimsuit or other item. The volleyball gameplay is fantastic, and the other games (casino) are smooth.
Graphics: DOAX is Simply stunning in the visuals category. The best game I have ever seen. Even beats Splinter Cell, Halo, and DOA3.
Sound: It has good volleyball sounds and other special effects. The music is good, and DOAX utilizes the custom soundtrack option that sooo many other games forget about.

Overall: nice game like the ability to put own music on , nice things to buy ;)
spent to much money on casino lost most if not carful
Gameplay: buttens too simple compared to other games for xbox like DOA3 yet i dont understand the buttens good story line
Graphics: why wouldnt i like the visual appeal...
lets say every thing was well rounded ;) nothing was too compicated seeing there wasnt to many things to do
Sound: like the idea of setting own set of music and not having to listen to some of the games no so good songs, i notice my own music with some things would make a great music video
Suggestions: more days on island the ending didnt even let them make a sequel cheaper suits more minnie games the ability to just swim in the pool like in some pictures i have seen of kasumi in a inner tube make the camera easier to control the camera sould go all the way around the person and dont alwas have to hold the zoom more characters

Overall: DOAX is a pretty game, and yes, it has loads of ladies in all sorts of bikinis. But, unfortunately, that's just not enough to drive a game all by itself. Luckily DOAX has some great addictive gameplay to back up the gobs of beautiful visuals. I found it to be a very fun game that lived up to the hype.
Gameplay: The gameplay was very slick. Initially I thought the two button systemn would get old, but I found that the gameplay is a lot deeper than I originally thought. It's deceiving to say it's only two buttons, because it utilizes the analog feature of these buttons. Pressing hard or soft will make differences in what you and your partner will do with the ball. Furthermore, the right thumb stick can be used to create different formations. It was pretty easy to learn, and a lot of fun to master.
Graphics: I have a HDTV widescreen TV, and play the game in 480p. It is the best looking game I have seen on the Xbox.
Sound: The sounds are good. The music that comes with the game (lots of Bewitched and Christina Aguilara (sp?)-ish music) is only so-so, but does fit in with the game. Luckily you can crank your own tunes with the custom soundtrack feature.
Suggestions: For the next one add four player mode and make it compatable with Xbox Live.

Overall: Girls in bikinis with one of the BEST graphics to date. i dont know about the gameplay i havnt been much into it, the volleyball action seems a bit.... arcady, maybe its just the thirdparty controller i'm using... anyways clear graphics with chicks in bikinis on an island with no other guy, and you play minigames and buy things. woo multiplayer is on this game too!!!
Gameplay: the controls for the volleyball play is smooth, its not as deep as a true volleyball game like more configurations, but its ok, it gets repittive tho, so i suggest play against your friends in multiplay to keep it fresh, you get to purchase items and wrap it and give it to somebody, you get to view your player (heh good times) and you play mini games like pool hopping, and casino games, altho playin and winnin in the casino is extremely easy...
Graphics: i would love to give it a 10 out of 5, but the max i can put is 5 :(
crystal clear animations. body movements are flawless, boobs shake, sand gets tossed around when they play on it, and sharp with no jagged edges anywhere i can find.
Sound: custom sound tracks!! it sounds good on 5.1 speakers as well, although you dont really need good sound to play this game, but i can say that the sounds are good.
Suggestions: make it harder to win money at casinos, offer more clothing or items, i know there are plenty of clothes and items, but you cant go wrong with more stuff right? umm everything else is good, you got yourself a pot of gold with this game. keep up the good work

Overall: This game is a good one but its not really a sports game its more of an eye candy game, rent this game first before you bye it because its not that great of a game there is better sports games out there and this is just chics in bikinis, needs more ppl for multiplayer also and only have 2 game modes..
Gameplay: This game will kinda get boring after about a week of playing but it is still fun to just watch your babe most of the time.
Graphics: Awesome graphics, some of the best ive seen yet this is a winner great detailed models but the camera is a little confusing some times at beginning but we get used to it fast.
Sound: Great sound some of the best but the default songs are anoyying but good thing i can use my own music and otherwise good job at the sound.
Suggestions: Add more game modes in main menu and please be serious about making a sports game.

Overall: First, there seems to be a lot of reviews from fanboys and haters, which makes this forum weak. I never liked DOA fighting games, I foudn the graphics their only claim to fame; however, I do play this game all the time. I'm not 13, I'm recently 27. I'll try to give an honest review for those who want one. The rules are real, and to those that complain that the 2 player sucks-- excluding Halo, most of the Top 5 games on here have been 1 player games. This one is really a one player game w/ the 2 player thrown in for kicks.
Gameplay: First, let me say this game uses USA Beach Volleyball Rally rules: Format A. The only mod is they play to 7 (by default, this is changable) instead of 15. Format A means 1 win (not best of), and Rally means you can score regardless of who serves. Beach Volleyball does require you to win by 2, or the first person to score 17. DOAX simplified that to 7 and 10 for speed, I'm sure. The 2 button control is actually genius! Now my g/f or dad can play this game. Everyone has been in the mindset of more buttons means better, and Tecmo gave it all to us w/ 2 buttons!! It makes the game easy to learn, but the real skill comes w/ timing and positioning (of your partner via the R-thumb stick too). The weakness in the volleyball is the defense is too good. If a girl has to dive for a save, she hits it to her partner who doesn't have to move-- I think she should it it almost straight up and make her partner try to run for it. That's minor. It's strange how additive buying bathing suits and accesories is-- sad maybe too. The collection is too Japenese; they also looked like they rushed it-- you don't need to buy the pistols for them to show up on 1 bathing suit, etc. Also, the idea of keeping your partner happy is cool-- it's easy to do if you win, harder if you lose. Each character has a different personality, but somethings are B.S. that will upset you. You can partner w/ a girl that has a next to nothing bathing suit in her personal selection, give her something slightly skimpy, and she'll get upset w/ you for days. Also, the girls get mad if you goof, and won't get right again until after the match is over-- maybe that's realistic. Also, you can only interface w/ the girls that are in 1 of the 4 areas outside the hotel. You can give them gifts or ask them to partner. You can never interface w/ your partner this way-- sucks. Or at the hotel you can send gifts to anyone. Tecmo should have let you give your partner stuff during the day, and find everyone on the island via the hotel. They dropped the ball here.
Graphics: The games visuals are fantastic. The girls, the clothing selections, the backgrounds... everything is top notch.
Sound: Sound it good. There's really not too much there-- game sounds, Japanese voices (w/ subtitles), and music I didn't care for. I used my own though.
Suggestions: Work on more mini-games, expand character interaction, just add more.

Overall: While many would understandably be skeptical of a game such as this, DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball is actually quite enjoyable. You can select from a nice "menu" of women, and do just about anything you want with her. There is a great deal of strategy in playing the volleyball games, as well as securing a good volleyball partner. Not only will you have to learn what each girl enjoys, you will also have to maintain a healthy relationship so that she will not abandon you. Winning games will earn you money, which can be used to purchase a number of accessories. A ridiculously huge number of accessories. This might include anything from sunglasses or a hat to suntan lotion or sunblock (which actually will affect your girl's skin tone throughout the course of the game). Money can also be used to purchase a preferred swimsuit, a very stressful decision-making process indeed. You can find mini-games at the casino, or simply lounge around and use the camera to check out your girl from any angle you desire. The game also allows for two-player matches, and also includes the rare feature that lets you rip your own soundtracks and use them in the game. The colors and crisp characters look great, especially in 480p. It even supports 16:9 widescreen. Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball proves that you don't always need violent games to enjoy your XBox.
Gameplay: Controls are simple, but timing and reflexes will determine your ultimate success. The strategy in this game is not to be overlooked.
Graphics: Clear, crisp, colorful, and utterly beautiful. Oh, and the girls look very nice as well. Very well done.
Sound: The Japanese voice-overs sound a bit strange, but you'll adapt quickly. Ambience is nice, and choosing your own soundtrack is a big plus.
Suggestions: Good game but its too basic. Better game would be better. More open... not just using two buttons.

Gameplay: Um... play a game... buy suits... but you dont ever really win anything. Just play and play and play. Kinda loses interest after awhile.
Graphics: Visually its flat out one of the greatest looking games ive ever played. No complaints at all about that.

Overall: Really a fun game. Absolutely perfect for what I bought it for: when Splintercell or Bloodrayne (or the like) drives me to the point of wanting to chuck my controller against the wall, this is the bomb to put in the box to get back to actually having fun in front of the tv.
Gameplay: I find the gameplay close to perfect. For those who complain about 'only two buttons' I find this a very narrow minded perspective. Just because a game employs every button and 300+ combinations there of, does not make it a killer app. Nor does simplicity exclude a title from the 'great' category. This game is designed to be 'picked up and played' and as such, it nails the ball out of the park. The camera takes some getting used to, but after you become accustomed to certain things (like, the ball got bumped over, my chick is gonna come flying in from off-screen for a spike...here she comes, WHAM0!) you get used to it. Still could have been better IMOHO.
Graphics: Nothing that I can say here that hasn't been said ad naseum...but I have to fill up 100 chars, so "bounca-bou
Sound: Should have had English dubbing. Cut having custom sound tracks tips this title into the 'hell yah' category.

Overall: This game is fun and cool for many reasons. One lot of hot chicks in it, two the volleyball action is fun. Now this is must buy game.
Gameplay: Okay find a partner be nice win games so you can be her friend. Also well the volleyball action wasn't what I suspected only pressing two buttons but hell it's so repetive and fun. The whole point of the game is explore around, find chicks, earn money to buy bikinis and lotion, and the good old casino.
Graphics: Now the graphics are kickass. The graphics in the game is better than any other game including Splinter Cell, and Halo 1 and 2.
Sound: The sound is annoying. Why do they speak Japanese, the music is boring, and they make the weirdest dumbest sound effects.

Overall: This game is a virtual supply of eye candy, great graphics, good gameplay that gets slightly boring due to repetitive nature of the game .the endless pursuit to aquire all the items can get very tiresome .
Gameplay: The volleyball aspect of this game is great I just wish it had more of a sports approach such as overall career stats. The interaction between the girls can get annoying when you spend a million dollars on a suit and thay just throw it away,it makes you wish that you could kick their but just like in DOA3
Graphics: What can I say good looking women in a multitude of skimpy and revealing bathing suits how can you improve on that.

Gameplay: its all just button mashing and the girls do everything else, just hit A A A A A A and so on... yay fun...
Graphics: this is probably the only reason people rent it, girls in bikinis. The graphics r about the only thing i can say weren't bad in the game, but good visuals doesn't mean good game. I'm not giving it a 5 because of the girls in bikini lol, but the graphics were actually good
Sound: sure as far as sound goes, how many different sounds of a volleyball hitting someones wrist have. Overall: A game based around one theme..and it aint volleyball.

Do not buy this game. Worth a rental to laugh at with friends
Gameplay: This game has very little in the sense of "gameplay". At the beginning, you choose the girl you want to be, half the time you go shopping, sometimes you play volleyball, and at night you go gamble at the casino. nuff said
Graphics: Visually, the game looks good. Some backgrounds are a little plain, but the models(girls) are very well done and very proportional (i'm not a pervert!, heh).
Sound: The Sound is very plain and forgettable. The girls speak in Japanese.. Which is evident as soon as you spike the ball and your teammate complements you by saying "Nice Spikou". THe music is very very pop. With bands like spice girls and christina aguilera. Thankfully custom soundtracks are also availble for import.

Overall: The game is pretty messed. It gets old too fast and after 2-5 hrs of jacking off looking the ladies in their bikini's and thongs and so forth. But if i have to say the only good thing about the game is that it has perfect graphics and a custom sountrack.(thank u god)
Gameplay: There is really nothing you could do except press 2 lousy buttons. Also a zoom in zoom out camera button and the use of a analog stick to move around the games.
Graphics: Like I said, this game was only good for the graphics. Real life graphics. Tecmo did alot of work here.
Sound: I can't understand japanese language. Even the non-japanese girls spoke it. Also the lousy pop music. This is y I rated this low. Also at least this game has custom sound track.

Overall: This is without a doubt the worst game I have ever played. It looks fantastic but plays like limp mung. The only way this game could get a decent score is if I had only watched someone else play. And who would play this game? A dateless pervert who never got to play with his sisters Barbies as a kid. That's how it made me feel.
Gameplay: Horrid! Absolute crap. It doesn't feel like you're even playing this game...it feels like the game is happening to you. It consists of virtually nothing but timing your button presses. If I want to do that, I'll go smack one of those stupid games that spit out prize tickets if you stop the light within the scoring zone. You can't see your players on defense, then they magically appear in place for a return, then automatically jump for a spike and all you do is press A once for each. Crap!
Graphics: The game has superb graphics, but all the best looking parts of the game are cutscenes when all you have control over is the camera. The menus are sub-par and the gambling looks like a free Windows game. Also, it's hard to appreciate the graphics when there is so very little content in the game.
Sound: Awful voice acting that's annoyingly all in Japanese. Terrible soundtrack full of yippie-skippy tracks that I'm sure made it onto the From Justin to Kelly soundtrack. I gave it a 2 because the game does support custom soundtracks, but for some reason it only works half the time.
Suggestions: If you want to develop a video game, make an experience based on the players wit, coordination, and skill. If you'd rather make interactive movies like DOAX, don't make us waste our on it by advertising it as a video game.

Gameplay: Ok, worst part of the game. I hated the volleyball controls. If this game had more of a story and the same controls as Summer Heat Beach Volleyball (PS2) it would be awesome!
Graphics: Humina, humina, humina...Arghhh...too...man..Definitely the best part of the game!!
Sound: AWESOME soundtrack! Really got me in the mood for some volleyball! Although I don't do much of that...i usually just play the hopping game. Anyway, one complaint they should have dubbed it.There is alot more talking and too much reading.
Suggestions: Make a sequel... give more attacks!Like one button is one move and all that. Overall: DOAXVB features the girls from the DOA series playing volleyball on Zack's island. It also includes a new girl, Lisa, that is not in any of the previous DOA games. This is one of my favorite Xbox games as it is a very fun game to play and it is very addictive trying to collect all the outfits.
Gameplay: It's not just eye candy like some suggest, it has a fun and addictive gameplay style and is a blast to play in both the single player and two player mode. It's easy to pick up and play, and stays fun for hours. I've played it for well over 25 hours, and still have not collected everything. I only wish that it would have been an Xbox Live title, or at least have downloadable content.
Graphics: The best looking Xbox game ever! This game is solid from top down in the graphics department. The outfits are very unique and each girl has a huge collection of skimpy swimsuits to choose from. The character models are very well done and I hope they use these models for DOA4.
Sound: The volleyball sounds are very good, and the game lets you play your own soundtrack. The default music is also very good, and I actually use a few songs from that along with my own music. The girls talk in Japanese which may annoy some, but I thought it was cool.

Overall: This cheeky game is all about bounce! I can't seem to quit playing whenever I get a little time to myself. This isn't so much a sports game, as the Volleyball sometimes seems to get in the way of watching the girls. Play for money in order to buy ever-skimpier outfits? That's what I call a great game!
Gameplay: Use the pad to move your girl around the court. Two buttons are all you need, one to defend/block and one to attack/spike. Depending on how hard you press the button you'll get different responses.

In the options screen you can change the controls from analog to digital, which you definitely need to do since this will set each button to perform only one action.

Once you get the gist of the controls you'll find that the game more or less "sets up" your attacks, there's not even a jump button, although you can decide when to perform a block. If you're set up, you'll jump automatically and have to choose only whether you want to spike or psych on your opponent. If they are blocking then you psyche them and shovel to one side or another.

The intrigue comes in learning how to work with your partner. Each girl is different, and if you want to earn that really nice skimpy suit (check out Lisa's, they're the best) you've got to keep her happy. Buy her presents that she likes and don't lose too many games, otherwise she'll leave you! You'll find that some characters get along well naturally and others just won't get along at all.

You can play the Hopping Game (visualize the closing credits from The Man Show) or gamble for extra cash. If you go to the casino you'll notice that some of the slot machines run "hot", but make sure to get out while you're ahead.

The stores on the island stock everything from tanning oil (it really works) to a golden revolver, and of course, SKIMPY SWIMSUITS! Just take notice of what types of gifts your partner likes or she'll leave you before too long.
Graphics: This game is all about the bounce. The game looks absolutely fantastic. If you've played DOA3 then you know the engine is as good as it gets. The outfits hang on the girls like they were real silk and even more spectacular are the "kinetics" of the characters.

You'll notice a setting in the control panel that allows you to set your age... Think of this as the "bouncy" control... if you get my drift.

Additionally, the FMV intros and fills are really great. You'll find Zack to be a bit slapstick (voice by Dennis Rodman) but the clip of Christie cliff diving is, in a word, breathtaking.
Sound: The music is good, as with all the DOA series. You can set your musical preferences and the tracks are all poppy actual releases from real recording artists like Aguilera, Spears, Baha Men, and Bob Marley. After a while though, you'll find yourself turning off the music and just running the woice and sound effects. Just throw something else on your home stereo.
Suggestions: Like other reviewers, I see a need for more "unlockable" levels, girls, games, and outfits. This was one of the real appeals of the other DOA releases, something that kept you coming back. And come on, this is a game about watching girls, there needs to be a cheeky cheat that enables super-buxom mode! Come on Team Ninja, how about it?

Overall: A volley ball game, buts its hard to say that the emphasis is on the volley ball.
As a straight up volley ball game, the mechanics play rather simply. Unfortunatly, the direction of emphasis seems to tend more to the rendered babes...and not the game!
Gameplay: The game plays very easily. Once you get your head around the button sensativity play style, it all comes together real well. The controls are pretty much the left thumbstick and two buttons...thats it. Very easy to learn, but I'm not sure if this has in anyway held back the actual game play. It certainly makes it easy to get into the game!
There are two modes of play, exhibition and Zack's Island. Exhibition is a straight out single game for one or two players. Pick your girls and court and play. Nothing fancy, just simple fun volley ball.
Zack's Island brings some rather...odd elements into the game play. You play for cash so you can buy a new swinsuits and all manner of other items (quite a lot of which have pretty much zero impact on the game). The other purpose of these items is to aid you in bribing another one of the girls into playing with you. This is were it gets tricky, the girls all have different tastes, and will only react well to the right gifts! There is mention on the box of 'stimulating activities', but the only one I found was a funny little jumping game. If anything, this game NEEDED a lot more of these little mini games to hold intrest. The Casio feature helps, but since I'm not really that intrested in gambling (real or pretend money makes no difference to me), it did little to add to the overall value of the game.
Graphics: It would be hard to say a bad word about the visual appeal of this game. Everything is beautifully draw and animated. The fan boys will be drooling over this one, and why not!
The only gripe is with the camera. I found the in game angles a little awkward to work with.
Sound: I would have given this 3.5, but I cant stand the fact that all of the voice acting is done in Japanese. To make matters worse, almost all of the girls sound like they are 6 years old!!! I just found it rather annoying.
The in game sounds are nothing special, but then, I dont think from the volley ball I have watched on tele, that the real thing sounds all that special either!
The music selection fit in very well with the theme of the game. Not my choice in at any time...but it matches the mood of the game perfectly. You have the option to use your own music stored on your Xbox if you wish
Suggestions: Fix the in game camera!
Add a few more girls, more varitey never hurts.
This game needed a LOT more in the way of mini games, I was thinking about 15-20 different games!
A graphics improvement! Odd request I know, but with so little actually happening in game you should have plenty of processing room to move with???

Overall: ummmmm.....How do you comment about a game that you play Barbie but then play volleyball? One thing I really liked about this game(other then the swimsuits) is the Volleyball games. It was a pain to keep a partner, but they did a good job on that part of the game.
Gameplay: Awesome job on the volleyball controls, Out of all the volleyball games it was good. It was the "dressing up" the girls that after a while took the flavor away because it seemed pretty perverted.
Graphics: Who can go wrong with half naked chicks?...But at the same time how can you go right? The visuals were great but some of the posses the girls do is ridiculous.
Sound: TURN IT OFF. . . . .AWWWWWWWW. I could see if I was a 13 year old girl but Tecmo had to realise that it was going to be men that mostly played the game.

Overall: found myself playing away like a zombie on crack to this game. would have given a 5 if it had more to offer though. like all games it has its ups and downs.
Gameplay: ahhhh if your looking for something serious go get something else if your looking to relax and play a fun simple addicting game that has gambling volleyball and a hopping game LOL then go get it! although i would like more mini games but the gambling is fun and the simple volleyball is almost flawless but sometimes when i try to do a setup for a spike my character spikes for some odd reason and that can be annoying but other than that its fun!
Graphics: OH MY GOD! one of the best looking games i have ever played! but just cause it is wonderful looking doesnt mean it is the best thing since jell-o but it can help some games...
Sound: well i found the music boring but since the xbox rocks so much i took some of my cds and put my own music on the xbox with the copy feature and woo hoo i got my own music to listen to and it makes it easier to play for awhile since your hearing your own music ya know it does help alot.......
Suggestions: hmmmm just add more to do so it will be a longer lasting game to play

Overall: DOAXBV is one of those "love it or hate it" games. I'm a big DOA fan and before the game's release, I wasn't thrilled of reading the fact that the Volleyball aspect of the game is too simplistic. I play volleyball in real-life and I like my digital volleyball experience as realistic as possible. I considered canceling my pre-order, but thank god that I didn't.:) This game is "recreational volleyball" at it's finest. The Volleyball engine imitates real life "recreational volleyball". All you need are 4 girls and a court; You don't have to worry about side-outs coz' there weren't any boundary lines to worry about.

Outlaw Volleyball might've a better volleyball engine, but it could never surpass the overall quality of DOAXBV. I've seen the preview movies and I can honestly say that OV's volleyball engine takes on an arcade, more wilder approach, while DOAXBV's vball engine delivers a more relaxed and simple, but nonetheless realistic approach to the game of Volleyball.

Gameplay: The volleyball competitions are where it all comes together. I had never played a videogame version of volleyball before, so I had no pre-concieved notions about how it should be done. However, I can say without a doubt that the volleyball aspect of DOAXV is very enjoyable. There are a few quirks with the camera system (sometimes the camera doesn't pan from one side to the other fast enough, causing your character to be off screen when recieving the ball) but they are easy to adapt to and don't hurt the game too much. The real beauty in this rendition of volleyball is how smoothly everything seems to flow. The animations are very fluid and lifelike, and there are no status bars or anything of the like on the screen to get in the way. DOAXBV has the best animations ever seen in a videogame. PERIOD.

The item collecting aspect of the game is really a mixed bag for me. I really enjoy collecting the items that the girls can actually wear, such as new swimsuits and various accessories, but all the other items that exist simply for the sake of collecting or gift-giving don't interest me. If you're into this type of thing though, there are a ton of items to keep you busy for quite some time.

The relationship building is something I have really just begun to understand, but I like the idea of having to make an investment in your teammate. Having to know their interests and getting their attention by giving them gifts that are appropriate to their character. This really makes you appreciate them more once they agree to play at your side. And knowing they can leave you just as easily means you can never take them for granted.

I've found the casino gambling to be quite entertaining as well. There are eight different slot machines (one modeled after each character), black jack, poker, and roulette. They did a really good job implementing the games and didn't cut any corners
Graphics: Best Tropical Atmosphere in a game. EVER. From the lighting, sand-effects, colorful backgrounds, and sea gulls flying, to the girls, their bikinis, and the mountain bike, this game is Eye-Candy at it's finest.

One thing that I'm most impressed about this game is the animations. I've never seen a video game imitate real life animations accurately as in DOAXBV. The animation are silky smooth and it's amazing how the girls' manages to "twist, flip, and turn" in order to volley the ball back to their opponent's court.

Sound: The SFX's are great, the voiceovers are really cute, but the original soundtrack music is substandard. The only thing that made me give the game a higher score in sound appeal is the ability to play custom soundtracks and the original, cute, Japanese voices. I wouldn't say that dubbing would ruin the game, but I wish that they included a language option for the people who doesn't like Japanese gibberish. I'm satisfied with the cute and wicked voices of the girls, and personally, I would preferably choose Subtitles/Original Japanese Language over Dubs.
Suggestions: Tecmo and Team Ninja delivered a great game once again, but I would like to have more mini-games, a 4 player option, XBL compatibility, and a multiplayer status tracker if they would decide to develop a sequel for DOAXBV.

Overall: The ladies from the million-selling Dead Or Alive Series are back and sexier
than ever as they embark on a wild, new adventure to the tropical resort,
Zack Island. Join Hitomi, Lei Fang, Tina, Ayane, and the others as they strip
off their fighting attire and slap on their bikini for the most outrageous
beach volleyball game you have ever seen. What's more, the points you earn
on the court will enable you to customize your character with over 100 swimsuits
and accessories to choose from. And when the day is done, the fun has just begun.
The first ever Sports Fantasy Simulation boasts a whole bunch of different
nightlife activities to choose from. What ever your pleasure, Dead Or Alive
Extreme Beach Volleyball promise extreme action and total satisfaction. Here the
story for the pleasure of your eyes, you know what i mean ! After winning his
fortune in a Vegas Style Casino, the famous Dead Or Alive rebel, Zack, invests
his money into an exotic tropical island, which he names after himself Zack
Island. After purchasing the island, Zack transforms the tropical paradise
into an exotic playground for him and his guests. His dream is to create an
adult paradise with a variety of activities to entertain his guests during the
day and night. Zack declares the island the official location of the fourth Dead Or
Alive tournament. When the invites are sent and people start arriving, everyone
realize that only women were invited to the island. The ladies have been tricked but
suck it up fast when they realize they are stuck on a beautiful tropical island to have
fun in the sun playing volleyball. Forget all that i said about Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball,
because it is only one
advertising web of lies that induces you in a fatal and deadly error. In fact, Tecmo and Team Ninja
has fallen deep in my heart with this horrible game called Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball and
again they proved that they are better doing the visual than the gameplay. No one said to you that
the visual is only one signifiacant part of a game. This game is only for those who are porn lovers,
who got no life or didn't know how bad the gameplay is ? Extreme Volleyball, i didn't see something that was
looking as extreme volleyball and even as volleyball. I prefer to pass my turn than buying this
monstrosity which is supposed to be worthy of the X-box.
Gameplay: In Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball, especially in volleyball matches, you must press A to perform an
exchange, B to receive the ball to allow your teammate to make some spike and the right thumbstick to
control your teammate. Then, if i want to review this game corectly, i will divide this in two part,
one where i will talk about what can happen for approximatly fourten days in your vacation and the exbihition
mod where you can play in multiplayer. So after we saw the little introduction who show Zack flirting with a
unknown beautiful women, we start at the poolside where the new corner Lisa, our default partner, start showing
the island. First, we take a look at the accessoiries shop and sport shop, where you can buy goodies and swimsuits.
After looking around for couple of minute, Lisa ask you to prepare yourself for your first volleyball match,
so let's play ! Don't be so happy, it's not so simple to play volleyball because timing is critical and the sensitivity of
your button is important, but the major mistake they done is that my button are not so sensitive than before,
then it is much more difficult to play corectfully. In fact, to learn how to play volleyball as a professionnal,
it tooks me much more time than envisaged, especially because of their new rules which make this game look more as a tenis
match than volleyball with deuce and stuff like that. Some people will say that the volleyball is not attractive because it's
too simple, but me i will say that it was a way too hard and the main reason is because there is no training. For a game who got Extreme Volleyball
in the name, i can say that it wasn't the main attraction, again you probably know what i mean ? After my first match, i gone
to the hotel ( it was an obligation ) and it where it's supposed to be funny, just remember the sentence " And when the day
is done, the fun has just begun ", but it's not true. The only thing you can do in your bedroom is to open your gift because Zack
is always giving gift when you are back to the hotel, watch your collection of item which is probably the only thing to do in Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball
and also you can play to the casino. Playing blackjack, poker, slot machine all night and betting on the roulette
can be really fun but the main goal of the game is to collect all the item and you must buy them all, so this feature is useless.
In sumarize, the problem you got when playing on casino is that you always lose a ton of money or simply it's a trap for gamers.
Only one day has gone and i was ready for my second volleyball match, but Lisa has split up with me just because we lose the last one and the worst thing in this
story is that sometimes, like what i does, you can spend like twenty days playing mini-games to buy the right gift for the right
girl, it's annoying and terribly tedious. Yes, you can buy item and wrap them to finally give them to a future partner, but even
if they like video game like Tina, they can throw the prototype x-box on the garbage. What a waste of money and time !
The two last feature are rest and the hopping game. hen they were talking about mini-game, i was hoping that
they will be more than one. Jumping onto square floatation pillows lined up accross the pool can be really boring
and rest, where you must watch you favorite girl doing some sexy movements with zoom and different camera's
angle, look like a boring way to pass the day and a spot for a bikini magazine. In multiplauer, the only thing you can
do is to play on a versus mod at volleyball, it is great but it suffers from major lacks, anyway. Finally, Dead Or
Alive Extreme Volleyball can be sumarize as raising money to buy item that are useless ( sub-machine gun, driving
wheel, etc .. ) or swimsuit to play on exbihition, all the other feature are just a means to to embellish the game.
Graphics: The starting video is well polished with a realism to make you fall on the ground, the girl are splendid and have
interresting attraction, you can even see their facial expression when they are playing volleyball and there is a ton
of different item and sexy swimsuit. All this stuff goes with high definition television enabled and graphic which reflect the power of the x-box. Also the
interactivity when playing volleyball is quite good because you can see the sand moving when the girls are walking on him
and even the wind's effect on the tree. The only thing i really dislike is the vegetation of the environment. Do you remember
the plants of the first level of Turok : Evolution ? Look like they were in two dimension again. To conclude the only attraction
in Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball is to watch those great babes on the beach with their sexiest swimsuit
( You can even see Tina shaking her a-s-s between two fire on the private beach with a sexy american swimsuit ).
Sound: Finally, Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball got the Dolby Digital system that goes with a descent soundtrack where you can
heard a relax music type ( Bob Marley, Baha Men, Christina Aguilera, B*witch ) and the famous theme song How Crazy Are You (
What they mean by this song is : How crazy are you to buy this game ? ). The custom soundtrack is an another plus but our music
seem to don't fit with volleyball, beach and babe. Imagine i got some Disturbed, Rammstein, Megaherz and Rob Zombie.
The main soundtrack is really better to fit with the theme, but can be really annoying. The sound was one of the biggest mistake they
done because the voices are in japan so when they are exchanging some sentence when playing you can't heard, at least
outside the volleyball court there is some subtitle. But why an american like Tina is not speaking in english, sound bizarre ?
It's rather difficult to me to write and understand in english, imagine how i am feeling with a japense language ?
Suggestions: Change the name Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball to Dead Or Alive Extreme Beach Shopping or
Dead Or Alive Extreme B-i-t-c-h Volleyball !

Overall: same thing like with DOA3, good visuals but the gameplay sucks so badly. it's even too much to call it a volleyball sim. it's more a barbie game and not much to do with sports. iNOTHING FOR TRUE GAMERS!
Gameplay: gameplay? is there a gameplay? buying stuff and making gifts is no gameplay. and the actual part of playing volleyball is just very bad!
Graphics: not bad, I am a man and I like big breasts so this part is actually by far the best of this "thing" (i really cannot call it, a game)

Gameplay: I thoroughly enjoyed the Volleyball gameplay system. I thought it was very easy to learn, and was surprised at how deep it actually was after I logged a few hours of gameplay in. I think that anybody who does not like this game or calls it too simplistic, obviously did not play it for any length of time.
Graphics: On of the best in game graphics I ever seen, this puts in the dust anything that any other consoles can put on thier system.
