I love the Sims for PC and have nearly every version and expansion pack. So, when it came to the Xbox I was a little skeptical that they could succesfully turn this into a console game, but I bought it anyways. After playing it, I found that the Sims COULD be very good on a console, but EA managed to mess up some things with this console version."

Overall: Overall great game, could of had some more interesting features for those not totally interested in micro-managing another person- 24/7 (24 minutes/7 hours)
Gameplay: The best part i have to say about this game is the gameplay, it totally eliminates the scroll click madness for the PC version.
Graphics: Great graphics, details are very carfully sketched. But sometimes you realize soem lines are out of line, and messy.
Sound: Not much sound in the whole game. Just certail items, like Tv, making meals, ect. It could of at LEAST have a few built in tracks.

Overall: This game kept me occupied far too long on the PC. I figured it was worth a try on the Xbox. Sadly it just didn't hold up.
Gameplay: The gameplay is much the same as in the PC version. You pretty much control one of the dumbest creatures on the planet (a simulated human). If that excites you or you have a god complex by all means try this one out but I'd rather use that time to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Graphics: Graphics are great. Not much more needs to be said about that. They are people inside of a house, hard to go wrong there.
Sound: The sound could be improved. The Sims, although human speak a language not known to any man, or god for that matter. And the music in the game is enough to make you want to take your Sim and go postal on some Sim Postal outlet.
Suggestions: Give it up, it's boring.

Overall: Another incanation of the most boring game to ever hit the planet. The Sims. EA and Maxis really need to stop making these games. It's getting rediculous. Can someone tell me why this game is the most bought PC game ever made? How can people be entertained by the same thing over and over and over?
Gameplay: You play God and control the most idiotic AI humas ever put into a video game. They do something, and you watch. You go into a hottub, they talk, you watch. They cook, you watch. They set the house on fire, you watch them act like morons. They goto work...you do absolutly NOTHING.
Graphics: Hm...The Sims which first appeared on PC looks graphically better than this one. It doesn't deserve the right to be on Xbox.
Sound: Horrible noises for dialog, annoying music, bad sound effects. It just doesn't get any more lame than the sound. Why can't I give everything a '1'. Hell nothing about this game deserves a 1.
Suggestions: ...STOP MAKING THESE GAMES!!!!

Overall: This game is based on the PC version of the game by the same name. The person doing most of the gaming is my gf and she had never played the PC version. The purpose is to guide a chacter through different parts of life.
Gameplay: The game involves your character interacting with the environment. You have to point onto different objects throught the house and then choose an action to occur. You can choose jobs and you earn money that can be used to upgrade things around you. Get a bigger house or various other aspects of your surroundings can be changed with money. You also interact with different characters and your actions can alter the types of relationships that you have.
Graphics: Basic graphics. Not too much detail is shown in any aspect of the game. Actions by the characters are not fluid and can be choppy at times. Your screen has a lot to look at most of the time, but items aren't in great detail.
Sound: Nothing to brag about. To me it makes no difference having surround sound in this game since it doesn't seem to make use of it. For the most part the audio is just basic sounds that get repeated.
Suggestions: Maybe downloadable content.

Overall: This game is nothing great. If you want to play the Sims, I suggest you play on the PC and not on the Xbox. I got bored of this game pretty quickly on Xbox, but i enjoyed PC version. They didn't really add much at all to this game, just boredom
Gameplay: I found gameplay pretty boring and difficult at time. PC version was just click and do, but on xbox you have to get used to what each button does. The feel of the game i found to be different, in a bad way.
Graphics: Visual isn't too great. I think they are better than the PC version though. The camera view can get pretty annoying at times.
Sound: Sound wasn't really changed at all. I never really liked all the sounds to begin with. The music is bad.
Suggestions: You need Xbox Live with the Sims

Overall: I'm pretty sure everyone knows what the Sims is from the PC version, this is just the same thing but with some new options. I don't think it is all that good a game, partly because it is pretty much the same as the pc version and there is nothing really all that special added to the Xbox version.
Gameplay: Exactly the same as the PC version, you do jobs and talk to people. It gets pretty boring and annoying after a while especially that the fast forward has to be held in for pretty much the whole day and it isn't fast enough.
Graphics: Looks just like the PC version but there is a fair bit happening on the screen, but it's isn't anything really good.
Sound: very annoying sound, the characters voices sound like crap and the music is so boring that ya have to put a cd on in the background considering there is no custom soundtrack.
Suggestions: Fix all the little annoyances.

Overall: I never saw what people see special in The Sims, to me it is just a cheap franchise. The graphics are horrible, Sound is bad, Music sucks, and worst of all, I get tired of it in a few hours. I gave the sims plenty of chances, I bought it on pc, then on Xbox, hoping it would get better. Boy, was I wrong.
Gameplay: Not that great. The first hour is fun to play but then the game gets just plain stale. I haven't touched this game in ages. Also, the cursor to move people is a innovative idea, but isn't that great.
Graphics: This is a 2d game that looks like a horrible 3d game on xbox. The camera angles are horrible and you can hardly zoom in enough to actually see some detail. If you want bad, overview graphics, then get the sims!
Sound: Sound is a little bit better, but I just can't stand there music. I hope the composer of that seriously thinks it over. Also, I do not like how the text is so small, it would be much easier if they talked..
Suggestions: MAKE IT JUST PLAIN BETTER!

Overall: Awesome! Alot Better than the computer game, ALOT. I was so excited when this game came out because I am a real Sims addict. I had all the Sims expansion packs installed on my computer, but when i got The Sims for x-box, i uninstalled them from my computer because it was a serious waste of space, because The x-box game was ALOT better. It satisfied my Sims craving.
Gameplay: Awesome. though confusing at first. But you get the hang of it in no time. Yes sometimes i still get confused, but thats ok.
Graphics: Great! Alot better than the computer version. ALOT BETTER. lol I think x-box got ahold of these graphics and took them to higher levels. Good Job
Sound: The sound was good. It is probably the best sounding game i have. I enjoyed listening to the Sim talk for hours
Suggestions: Yeah, Make Sims for x-box live! oh and maybe make another game, but this time add more things from the expansion packs, like DOWNTOWN, or The Pet stores and The Clubs and Bars..

Overall: This game is VERY addicting. I played the Pc version alot when it first came out, but I was never into the expansions. When I found out it was coming for console, I figured it would be the same thing. I rented it and its so much better. The GET A LIFE mode is so sweet, I love getting little missions. Also, the multiplayer is awesome.
Gameplay: The controls are nice. I was wondering how they would pull it off... That many controls on an X controller.. But they did, and It's easy to play. Gotta love the 3d
Graphics: The graphics are a little above average. Better than PC, and I love how it's now in 3d. It looks nice, and you can interact with everything. Many new items..
Sound: Same classical music as PC. It's very relaxing, and Im glad its still on there. Many different scores added though.
Suggestions: Hmm... make a mature version of the Sims. Heh, imagine that..

Overall: Overall, it's still so so like the PC version. I rent it just to have a feeling to control the persons in it with a controller. Look like it's more complicate than the combo mouse and keyboard. Just because we are limited to only 10 buttons, so there are some missing keys for it.
Gameplay: The gameplay is like in the PC, pick a house, choose the one you want to take into his life than evolve it until he or she will get marry, a job, even adopt a animal as you want. The best part is to upgrade your house by adding stuffs like, a home theater system, a high-end computer, pool, garden, etc.
Graphics: The visual and effects are old. This seems like to run on a old PC. Characters animations are like a mimic and the detail is very basic from what i have seen.
Sound: Ok, in this game, all you have to take notice is your character and what happen to your resident, you won't concentrate on the music too often.
Suggestions: Ok, just keep it only for PC, i think is better than bring it to consoles.

Overall: Amazing. A whole new world for you to explore all on one disc. Live a new life and make your dreams come true.......
Gameplay: You basically live a life within the game. Some might say that it's sad , but it really is MAJOR fun....
Graphics: As good as it can be. Some really funny things crop up (being electrocuted is a ball!) and the characters look gr8!.

Sound: The sound is terrific. All the sounds that you hear from day to day...the speech is really well done too !.
Suggestions: Make another one , make more life options availible....

Overall: I'm sure you've heard of the sims after 3 years of being one of the top selling games on the pc. If you've played the sims on the PC you'd know that after about 4+ hours the game becomes a snore-fest. Your sims get aggravated, lazy and demand you keep up to their needs. And with no goals in The Sims, you start to feel like your fighting an endless battle. The game isn't worth .02, much less $40.00.

I'm also sure you have heard of ea games. I'm not going into detail but, EA games isn't well respected in the xbox community.

Well I have to tell you, i thought EA Games + The Sims = Messy Port. I was wrong. The game is great. With the new get a life mode it gives you 15+ hours of gameplay.
Gameplay:
Simulation games and consoles are like cats and dogs. They don?t mix well. But Maxis pulled it off. This sims has very intriguing controls, the controls fit the game very well. The learning curve is high, especially in build/buy mode. But once you get over the learning curve, the gameplay is a breeze.

Graphics: Although this game isn?t full of eye candy, ala DOAX. The Sims can be very visually entertaining. The graphics are a vast improvement over the Sims on the pc. I do think there could have been a better use of the xbox hardware, I?m pleased with them overall.
Sound: Same old, same old. It?s the same crappy sounds Nothing new. If this is your 1st sims game the sound may be nice at first, but I don?t think it?s anything amazing.
Suggestions: Let?s get some online support. I know you are very greedy at EA, but lets make the FANS happy ONCE. If you don't want to make online support get some content downloads.

Overall: highly recommended. though not as open-ended as the pc (no expansion packs and downloads), the console version of the sims ultimately holds its own as a different game, not just a port. it is easily as addictive as the pc version... if not more so, since you'll be playing it on your sofa instead of computer chair... so that ups the comfort rating to about a 7 instead of a 3, and if you have a nice big tv, the fun rating is about 9... throw in the ability for two to play at once and the social rating goes up too! yeah, i know, i'm a herb... but even the most cynical have to admit that there's something morbidly wrong and yet friggin hilarious about watching a little virtual you curl up in the fetal position and die of pneumonia in a puddle of his own urine because of your neglect.
Gameplay: the controller takes some getting used to, but the button layout is well thought-out in the end. build mode is more of a pain than on the pc, but there are lots of exclusive features that make up for it. in "get a life mode" you have a series of challenges to complete, which basically train you and hone your skills, but are funny and entertaining. i haven't unlocked multiplayer mode yet, but playing the sims split-screen mode adds a whole new dimension to the banal appeal (i know it's an oxymoron) of micromanaging little virtual people.
Graphics: graphics are great, i can zoom all the way out on my 32" tv and still be able to select an object the size of the phone... and the level of detail in the textures on the completely 3D polygonal environment is as smoothly implemented as on the pc version's bitmapped 2D objects. for the small objects when zoomed far out, i recommend investing in s-video or component video cables for your xbox.
Sound: same great sound as the pc... the sound is the unsung hero of the original versions of this game, as its unique charm and light-hearted tempo really sets the atmosphere... the music is perfect for the game, and there's always something making noise in the house, rap on the radio, soap operas on the tv, flies on the dishes... the quantity and variety of effects and voices is impressive.
Suggestions: i can not stress this enough.... maxis, if you're listening, what were you thinking not making this game live enabled!!!! jeezus h!!! if only for the ability to download content and expansion packs... i hope against reason that somehow it's not too late... otherwise the appeal of this game long-term is only a fraction of what it could be...
