Wreckless: The Yakuza Mission
Overall: I didn't think I was going to get this game, but I saw a couple copies left at KB so I decided to buy it, lol. I have been pleased in almost every aspect of the game, except it's lack of multiplayer.
Gameplay: Gameplay is fast and furious, a little blurry at times but I think it's a kewl effect. Controls are somewhat off, but easy to master. Collision detection with cars and obstacles is good, except for walls....overall plays great!
Graphics: Awesome looking, no slowdown so far, the explosion effects and car scrapings look shweet. This is prolly the best driving game graphically available now.
Audio: ehhhhhh techno music fits this game, but the sound didn't exactly strike me as great, this area could be vastly improved in future Wreckless games.
Suggestions: M U L T I P L A Y E R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and make the game with more missions, and for teh love of pizza don't make people jump out of the freakin way when you hit then, how lame!
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 NFL 2K2
Overall: After playing Madden and growing bored of it within a month or so I decided to pick up this game and I was very pleased with it. I'll keep this one until NFL 2K3 comes out *drool*.
Gameplay: I love how the game plays and there isn't much I'd change about it. Everybody knocks the computer D on runs so just set it on a harder difficulty setting. The running is superb, and catching looks better than in most games. One of the best things is how good the tackles feel, next to NFL Blitz this game features the hardest tackling in my opinion. For some reason, though, I'm not crazy about the process of choosing plays from your playbook, Madden has the edge there.
Graphics: Visually yummy!! People say NFL Fever has better graphics. I say the graphical difference is minimal and while watching the detail of the graphics on instant replay you will be truely amazed.
Audio: Great sound effects, nice commentary. Some phrases become a little repetitive but hey at least it's not Madden yappin away about why the football reminds him of a bologna sandwich.
Suggestions: Keep up the good work, can't wait till NFL 2K3.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Blood Wake
Overall: This game is at least a rent for those of you interested in combat-based games, but for some reason I'm not as hyped about it as I was before it came out.
Gameplay: Gameplay runs smooth and at a consistant framerate (I haven't noticed really any significant slowdown). The controls are still a little awkward for me and sometimes they feel a little nonresponsive, but you are in the water so I guess it's supposed to be that way. While single player is fun to play I didn't think 4 player was all that entertaining (after playing it for about 10 minutes).
Graphics: This game was very well done graphically and I can't think of anything the developers could've done differently to make this game better in this area. The water reflections are tight, and the boats themselves look fairly realistic.
Audio: The music in this game is kewl, but as far as the sound effects go I didn't care much about how the weapons sound (seemed dulled down alot). I got tired of that guy yappin away in my boat also.
Suggestions: Make multiplayer more interesting.
Overall Score: 7.0 / 10 Max Payne
Overall: I was very hyped before this game came out about this shooter, and since getting it when it was released I have yet to have been disappointed with this game. Alot of people say this is only a rent-only game but I think I will have this one in my game library for awhile.
Gameplay: This game controls very well for a 3rd person shooter and you don't find yourself having those awkward camara angles where often found in these types of games. There are some places in the game though where you have to walk over tight, narrow strips and the controls are slightly touchy at times, but otherwise it's not an issue. I love the use of bullet time to get out of tricky situations, although at some crucial moments I forget to use it.
Graphics: Very realistic environments and Max's detail is done nicely. The developers should've utilized the Xbox's power and incorporated facial expressions, though (all the developers are doing it). I did notice minimal slowdown when I was in outdoor environments, but it was no biggie. Fires and explosions are also done nicely.
Audio: Eeerie music most of the time. The screaming baby freaks me out. Max's human fodder may use repetitive phrases from time to time, but all in all the sound is done well. Gotta love the sound of the sniper rifle as well.
Suggestions: Multiplaye

gh bullet time would be weird (it would be fun w/out bullet time though). The thugs, pimps, etc. seem to be able to incredibly predict when you are going to enter a room, and grenades fall in your lap out of nowhere. Please make this not so =)
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 SSX Tricky
Overall: Okay, this is the third game I've played for the Xbox and so far it's been worth the dinero. I have never played another version of SSX Tricky on other consoles but this one is a blast!
Gameplay: Fast and furious! There is virtually no slowdown and the controls are easy to master, although I suck at pulling off tricks, bah.
Graphics: Great environments, nice character animations. Probably the best visually compared to other console versions, although I haven't played any so I don't know.
Audio: Love the sounds as you snowboard across snow and ice. Some comical comments made by snowboarders. I am already getting tired of the Run DMC "Tricky" song though, it pisses me off and makes me wreck.
Suggestions: More blood, weapons, explosions... er wait I guess ould say that about every game, nevermind.
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Halo: Combat Evolved
Overall: Initially I bought the Xbox for one reason, Halo baby!!! And after playing it since it was released I am still excited over this title. Read on to see why....
Gameplay: Awesome gameplay! The controls are very responsive and easy to master after a couple of hours. I love the choice of weapons and vehicles in the game (although I wish you could've used the sword from the Covenant and it would've been nice to use the Banchee in multiplayer). Most of the levels are super long and especially challenging on heroic, although many sufferred from repetition in level design, and who the hell came up with the Library level, booo! The game's multiplayer is fun, co-op is the greatest, although my buddies find sniping me while I take on a hoard of Covenant is amusing.
Graphics: Sweet graphics....Eye candy is really the only way to describe it. On some of the outdoor levels you will be amazed by how many things are going on around you and the framerate stays fairly consistant (slowdown is rare). I was impressed at how bullet holes remain in the environment, along with the guts of the covenant, yummy! Even though Halo showed the muscles behind the Xbox, I still believe future games will demonstrate better graphics, let's say Halo 2?
Audio: "Whoa they're everywhere!" is just one of the English phrases you'll hear those aliens cry out as you rip into them with your weapons. Although many people don't care much for this, I think it's pretty funny, and it makes me wanna kill more of the lil bastads! Shoot your fellow marines buddies and listen to what they have to say. Get slaughtered by the covenant and they laugh at you (ouch my ego!) Overall the sound is crisp and adds to the overall excitement of the game, can't get a whole lot better in this category.
Suggestions: BOTS ON MULTIPLAYER MORE WEAPONS MORE VEHICLES MORE LEVELS! BUNGIE PLEASE MAKE HALO 2, I WILL LOVE YOU LONG TIME!!!
