Overall: Game overall is addicting if you like these type of games. Don't want to ride a dirtbike all the time? That's ok, get in a monster truck, a plane, or a dune buggie. There are moving objects that you can jump off of, you can get massive air, and you can wreck hard. Tell me what's not good about this game, because to me it is sure fun.
Gameplay: Great gameplay. I like it on multiplayer. Out race your friends, or screw around. Run into each other, or see who can jump the farthest or make the most mess crashes. That's what I do and well it makes it sort of addicting. Especially when you go of certain ramps and land on houses or over objects. It's funny to jump off and hit things, it's great!
Graphics: Graphics are up there. One of the best off-road games I've seen so far. They did a great job with it and am happy.
Sound: Great bike sounds and so fourth. Songs they have are decent, also have fun with the custom soundtrack.

Overall: Rainbow Studios is known for their great offroad games and this game is just another one to add to thier list. This game has been out since Febuary and I still play it everyday, its insanely addictive.
Gameplay: This game has the best physics period! The gameplay is what makes this game so addictive! MX Unleashed has a working clutch that you can use in the corners and after you wreck to get back up to speed. The preload features is like in Rainbow's newer ATV series, you preload by pressing down then up quickly with the thumbstick to get more air allowing you to clear jumps easier or if you just crashed and don't have alot of speed use the clutch and preload to make it over the triple and get back into the rythem. And now they have added the option to do backflips! You just do a preload backwards you press up then down on the thubstick and your rider will pull back and rotate backwards. You can control the speed of your rotation by pushing either up or down on the thumbstick to slow or speed up your rotation making it easier to land smoother. And wheelies and nose wheelies are very addictive for people that have just started playing this game! To wheelie you can either just press A and lean back or you can use the clutch (L button) to gain more speed with your wheelie but using the clutch you have to be careful not to over do it and flip over backwards!
Graphics: MX Unleashed has some pretty good graphics! The riders and bikes are both well done. The riders jerseys have wrinkles in them, helmets shine, you can see individual tread marks on the bikes tires and the roost from the bikes looks pretty awesome too. And the crash animations look really awesome best in any game to date! And when you're sitting still and you're revving the bike with the clutch pulled in you can see the exuast coming out of the exuast pipe!
Sound: The bike really do sound great best in any motocross game yet! Two strokes sound nice and crisp and you can hear the difference between the 125cc and the 250ccs, Four strokes sound great too you can tell the diference between the 250F and the 450cc too. The only thing I thought was weird was that the 500cc bikes sound like four strokes. They even have 50cc mini bikes which sound alot like the real thing. The music in this game is pretty good there just isn't alot of it, but luckly theres custom soundtracks which I use all the time!
Suggestions: Live Support and a better freestyle mode more control over the way you whip the bike, I wanna be able to get like James Stewart over the tables and triples!

Overall: Decent, it was just all right, which was disappointing to say the least, I wanted alot from this game, and sadly it did not deliever
Gameplay: Alot of jumps hard controls and generally re hashed versions of other games, such as moto cross for the 32x, mind you, that was alot better
Graphics: The highpoint in my book, flying over a hill at 100mph, looks nice, and I could only imagine what a HDTV could produce
Sound: Whirr, thats it, music is ok, but Jesus if you want a moto game with good sound go with Moto GP 2, custome sound tracks, and live,
Suggestions: AI is nasty, I hate that no matter how bad you smoke them, they catch up to you

Overall: MX Unleashed is, bar none, the most realistic motocross game that has been developed. Whenever a gamer sees Rainbow Studios printed on the cover of a racing title, it is a given fact that the game will rock!
Gameplay: To me, and many other motocross purists, MX Unleashed's gameplay is perfect. I have been unhappy with other motocross titles for they do not capture the REAL physics of motocross. For example, if you hold the gas wide-open in other games, you will be able to clear all the jumps with ease. This is not REAL at all! In Unleashed, the gamer must time the jumps and learn the rhythm of the track in order to clock in fast laps. Do this, and you will smoke the competition. None of that player catch-up crap that is in those EA games. Still, the AI in this game is challenging. If you do not race with precision, you are going to get beat! As for the tracks, they are interesting and realistic, and will take more than a lap to learn. Some people who have played this game claim that the control layout sucks. I believe the exact opposite. Although I do agree each person should be able to customize their controls, the default is set up as easily and realistically as can be. I love having the clutch as the L Trigger because that is where the clutch is on a bike. In fact, I wish the R Trigger was the front brake, but that would be a bit much. Essentially, MX Unleashed is a very accurate and lifelike game. If you want something more arcade and unrealistic, play an EA racing game.
Graphics: Since I blabbed on and on about the gameplay, I will keep this one short. The graphics are good...really good.
Sound: MX Unleashed captures the 2-stroke and 4-stroke sounds very well, and the soundtrack isn't that bad either. However, I hate that song called "University"! Thank God for custom soundtracks.
Suggestions: Please add online play, and possibly add real-life nationals that the pros race on.

Overall: so close to perfection yet sooo far away. no online ..and only 2 player split means tons of playing with yourslef.lol
Gameplay: the button layout is crap...any racing game that doesn't use the triggers for gas and brake loses points right away.
the suspension preload is sketchy and and is short on capturing the concept of what it is meant to do. They hype the physics as revolutionary and I'm not sure about that yet..there's just something about the bike handling that I don't like. The big bikes don't seem any faster then the 125's...they seem to have trouble clearing the same obstacle as the 125's....just no real feel of added power on the big bikes...the 50's are rediculously fast. I do like the AI though...good competition. The tracks are well made...supercross is technical and nationals are very scenic and fun.
Graphics: I have a sony wega 36"hdtv..and I must say this is a nice looking game especially since the game was dev'd on a ps2 environment.
Sound: the custom soundtrack feature is good to have but I can't figure out how to configure it yet..in other words it finds a way to play the songs I hate from my personal collection...
the bike sounds are good..no complaints although the motor doesn't sound right goin thru the whoops..same sound as going down a smooth straight.
the crowd niose is wierd..sometimes cheering you on and the next minute booing you.
Suggestions: I'll never understand why rainblow studious did not make online play a requirement...huge letdown and will, no matter what anyone says bring down the replay value of this game...within the 1st 5 minutes of playing I couldn't stop thinking..."man this game screams for online racing" but rainblow wasn't listening. They say it will be in mxu2 but I question that title will even make it out before xbox 2 launch next year. If your not sure about mxu vs mtx I would say wait a few weeks until mtx comes out and rent both as mtx will feature online racing and a track editor. yeah it's a good game....could have been incredible!
Once the career mode is done the game will collect alot of dust imo.

Overall: Rainbow studios games have never disapointed in the past (MX Madness 1&2 on pc and ATV ORC 1&2 on PS2). When I took my kids to Supercross MX Unleashed, by RS/MS/THQ, was advertised on the Big screen and I will admit that it caught my attention. But when I purchased it the dormant addiction to games was resurected (wife had me on check since my last 2 day absence from work). The first night was a long one finishing nearly 20% of the races. Race phisics, graphics, sounds, and control where all on par with prior Rainbow Studios games. The game is just real enough and over the top to keep me glued for hours. Not only do you get to race MX bikes on sweet courses but the ability to use other machines puts the iceing on the cupcakes. Theres always next weekend to spend time with the wife and kids.
Gameplay: If youved played driving games before than its just a matter of minutes untill your ripping it up. Newbies will need a little practice with the clutch use but in general its quite easy to just pickup and go.
Graphics: Its al about the HDTV 1080i !!
Absoloutly marvelous crisp graphics. Even on the split screen you are able to read your name on the jearsy. Bike, Rider, Gear, and Track Terraine graphics top notch. This game won't dissapoint.
Sound: I am a engine and special effects sound fan, not much into the music side of games, and this game delivers the good stuff. In menu music also very good. Thanks for giving me the ability to remove the in game tunes.
Suggestions: In the second installment lets get some more license agreements so I am given the choice of rideing a Honda or a Kawasaki or any slew of Race ready bikes that are offered by MX Race Teams. Toss in some atvs and my mouth will water.

Overall: This game could be the perfect motocross game but it lacks a few critical things: No online play, no system link, no four player split screen, no custom button configuration (horrible button layout) and no tuning options really hurt this great game.
Gameplay: I am reviewing this game as if it is actually the third installment of Motocross Madness, renamed of course. The new physics in this game are near perfect! There are a huge number of tracks to race. Fast lap attack is awesome. This should be the perfect motocross game...but it is not! It is quite upsetting to see a game get so close to perfection but miss the boat. First of all no Xbox Live hurts this game tremendously. System link was also dumped and so Xbconnect or LAN play is out of the questions as well. The other thing that makes me scratch my head is why we don't get to customize our controller configuration. Xbox racing games generally use the right trigger for gas and the left trigger for brake. There are four presets that you can use which only let you use either the A & X or black and white buttons for gas and brake...not only is it unnatural unless you are a PS2 gamer but it really starts to hurt the thumb after long gaming sessions. It should be standard (at least in racing games) to let people choose their own button configuration but at the very least they should have offered a configuration that use the triggers. This game is also severely dumbed down for the masses. Some of the changes could be viewed as good since it is much harder to wreck than it used to be. It is too bad though that there is no power curve editing, individual part settings or bikepart upgrades...basically you pick a bike to race and that is it...the only thing to unlock in the way of bikes is 50cc and 500cc but those can't help you in the career races. My final comment is that this game is great for single player gaming except for the button configuration but if you'd like to put your skills to the test and race others (and you can't afford both) then I think you would be better off getting MTX Mototrax and pray for MX Unleashed 2 to get here before Xbox 2 : )
Graphics: This game will support HDTVs in 1080i and looks spectacular. I don't think that anyone can be dissapointed here.
Sound: Custom soundtracks are supported and there are many sound configuration options. Bike sounds are amazing and it sounds incredible in 5.1 surround sound.
Suggestions: Online play, system link, custom button configurations and tuning options are missing and need to be implemented.

Overall: VERY VERY VERY AWESOME GAME. The best motocross game EVER MADE. Its simply the best. Controls are flawless, gameplay is perfect.
Gameplay: Not much to say here, other than it is perfect. There is no other game out that can match the gameplay of the in the motocross category. What Halo is to first person shooters is what this is to motocross games X 10. Its simply amazing
Graphics: The visuals are very nice. The rider animations are extremely good and everything is majorly better than mcm2, off road fury 2.
Sound: Wow, rainbow FINALLY updated the sounds. this was needed very badly and they did an amazing job. The bikes sound REAL and I would know lol. the soundtrack taht comes with the game is very good, but there is custom soundtrack support too.
Suggestions: 4 player and online play. other than that i cant think of much more.
