MX Unleashed
Overall: Rainbow studios games have never disapointed in the past (MX Madness 1&2 on pc and ATV ORC 1&2 on PS2). When I took my kids to Supercross MX Unleashed, by RS/MS/THQ, was advertised on the Big screen and I will admit that it caught my attention. But when I purchased it the dormant addiction to games was resurected (wife had me on check since my last 2 day absence from work). The first night was a long one finishing nearly 20% of the races. Race phisics, graphics, sounds, and control where all on par with prior Rainbow Studios games. The game is just real enough and over the top to keep me glued for hours. Not only do you get to race MX bikes on sweet courses but the ability to use other machines puts the iceing on the cupcakes. Theres always next weekend to spend time with the wife and kids.
Gameplay: If youved played driving games before than its just a matter of minutes untill your ripping it up. Newbies will need a little practice with the clutch use but in general its quite easy to just pickup and go.
Graphics: Its al about the HDTV 1080i !!
Absoloutly marvelous crisp graphics. Even on the split screen you are able to read your name on the jearsy. Bike, Rider, Gear, and Track Terraine graphics top notch. This game won't dissapoint.
Audio: I am a engine and special effects sound fan, not much into the music side of games, and this game delivers the good stuff. In menu music also very good. Thanks for giving me the ability to remove the in game tunes.
Suggestions: In the second installment lets get some more license agreements so I am given the choice of rideing a Honda or a Kawasaki or any slew of Race ready bikes that are offered by MX Race Teams. Toss in some atvs and my mouth will water.
