Overall: This is without doubt one of the best, if not the best, Simpsons game around. I enjoyed this game very much. How could I not? The Simpsons are my favorite TV show. And that is not necessarily the reason why I have rated this game so high. This is a good game by itself. It mixes Midtown Madness 3 with GTA under a jump?n?run-adventure style. In Hit & Run you assume the role of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, or Apu. You proceed through the game by completed a number of missions across Springfield?s vast terrain(s). The game is truly amazing. If you?re a Simpsons fan, get it! If you?re not, then still give it a try. Hit & Run has plenty for everybody. The story in the game involves cyber-bees, Buzz cola, and a conspiracy. I won?t ruin it for anybody who hasn?t played the game yet, but the storyline WAS created by a few of the writers from the actual TV show.
Gameplay: As I previously mentioned, you ensue through the game by completed various sorts of missions, mostly with the use of cars. The game spans across Springfield (various areas of Springfield). Of course, you can go by foot too. There are numerous buildings that you can go inside too, which are usually the more famous ones like the Simpsons house, the Kwik-E-Mart, Springfield Elementary, Moe?s, and so on. While the gameplay is quite traditional, it seems very original too. Most of all, it?s seriously fun to play. There is also a stash of unlockable bonus stuff, such as cars, costumes, and cards. The game will have you playing for hours, but there probably won?t be too many of those hours - the game is very easy to beat.
Graphics: The visual aspect of the game is great too! Nearly everything has been polished and tidied up in the graphic sense. Most people would consider the visuals to be perfect, but I don?t. The key problem I have with the visuals is that they don?t make the game seem like the series - or at least enough. The solution to this problem would be cell-shading. It?s really a shame that the developers didn?t use cell-shading, because it would give the game a greater likeness to the series. Either way, still good.
Sound: The game not only looks and feels like Springfield, it sounds like Springfield too. The clever use of sound adds to the nature of the game. The music in the game is great too! The best part is that they got the cast from the series to do voice-overs for the characters, which is both important and incredibly effective.

Suggestions: Use cell-shading! CELL-SHADING! That?s my main suggestion. It would give the game a greater likeness to the series. More multiplayer and less of the driving business would be good too. It would also be great if someday we would be able to play an actual Simpsons RPG.

Overall: What can i say. I am a Simpsonolic. When i heard they were making a spoof a Grand theft Auto, i could wait. I liked this game a lot just for the fact that you can walk around freely Spingfield.
Gameplay: It was a lot like Grand theft Auto. You have to race a bunch of caracter. You get some cools cars. Why not.
Graphics: Visually, it is good. Not incredible but good. A lot like road rage. Springfield is springfield. Yep
Sound: The music is great. The voice acting is fun but way too much repetitive. over and over and over and over the same phrase...

Overall: This is the first Simpsons game I have ever played, and I would have to say that it is of a very high quality with many references to the show and so many gags there is always something to make you laugh. My favourite part of any game is the percentage complete challenge. This game has alot of things to go back and collect so you will be very busy trying to get to 100%. (At the moment I am at 71.0%)
Gameplay: The gameplay is very arcade with some ridiculous cars that could not possibly exist in the real world. It is an amusing driving game (not racing game) that lets you tear up springfield as marge, homer, bart, lisa and apu. Obviously, this game has its roots in GTA, but with an "E" rating, it will have to make do with you hitching a ride instead of throwing them out of the car and taking off with it. Overall, a mildly addictive and occasionly frustrating game to play.
Graphics: The graphics are simple, 3D versions of the popular cartoon, so it doesn't exactly leave the Xbox exhausted. Sadly, you can never quite capture the charm of the yellow people in a video game. The programme will always be better. However, I experienced no slow down or graphical glitches so it was an enjoyable experience after all.
Sound: For some, Homer chanting, "2,4,6,8, you suck, i'm great! Lah dah dah dah, you're the one.te"can get really annoying. And it does, however I give this a 4.5 for the authenticy of the sounds. The voices are all from the show, and tey are done with great style. And, a catchy soundtrack to match. Good job.
Suggestions: Give it custom soundtracks, more variety in things the characters say, and even crazier vehicles, and you'll have yourself a great simpsons game.

Overall: judging by the majority of reviews, I seem to be the only person who think that this is just another simpsons game... it is a very good simpsons game, but as games go, this is at best average. Its a pity, because it has the potential to be the 1st good simpsons game, but it trips over its gripes & flaws and falls flat on it's fat yellow face.
Gameplay: gameplay should be familiar to anybody used to 3D 3rd person platformers, but the question is is gameplay good... well... no. It is tediously, annoyingly and frustratingly repetative... there are a few rather enclosed areas in which you must complete missions again and again and again... and the story line is a bit boring. cars handle nice enough... but really, if you are playing this game for it's gameplay, it beats me why your playing it at all.. its just not good enough
Graphics: It really beats me why they didnt go for the cell-shaded look... if they were trying to convince the player that they were in the simpsons world by puting reflections and progressive shading on characters and objects, they failed. It doesnt even look like simpsons, it is somewhere in between realistic and fantasy in terms of visuals... and they just dont mix.
Sound: hey, they got the real actors in the game... thats cool! hey whats that bart said? he said eat my shorts! WOW!!! ... listen! hes saying it again!! oh... and again.. and again? I think you get the point here, sound is repatative and annoying, the same few bars music plays constantly during gameplay, and just adds to the repetativness of audio... it gets an extra mark for the actors, half of which is taken away because they dont shut up. :P
Suggestions: cell shaded graphics... and for gods sake fix the boring gameplay... and suprise us... make a good simpsons game!!!

Overall: Very hillarious game. Fun just to run around doing nothing, (except running over unsuspecting victims).
Gameplay: Great gameplay didnt have one time where the car even ran over the yellow lines, (be a safe driver) until i saw a very slow pedistrian crossing the street :D
Graphics: Funny visuall affects punching a lab rat and seeing him rolling all over the floor, whats better than that?(I got some ideas for sience class now).
Sound: Nice sound/music cant find nothing to complain about, other than sometiems the voices sound distant when its supposed to sound right next to you.

Overall: A nice alternative for those who think GTA 3 is too much for them. Also fans of the cartoon will really get into the Simpsonesqe humor and missions.
Gameplay: Easy controls, and the driving is not bad for a game of this kind, yet with similar games, you may get frustrated when behind the wheel of certain vehicles. The levels done well and in loyal hardcore Simspon fan fashion.
Graphics: Good looking 3D version of Springfield. The camera can sure use an upgrade, but the tighter areas of city levels and with the myriad of characters you can interact with, you may not care.
Sound: Perfect Simpson sounds, and fan favorite inside jokes and references keep those new to this kind of game going, while the fans will want to hear it all.

Overall: This game is absolutely amazing for a simpsons game. It's Just like GTA only simpsonized. Once you've started playing you cant stop. You can play as Bart , Lisa , Homer, Marge and Apu.The missions and story lines are hilarious but you should be a regular simpsons watcher if you are going to buy this game.
Gameplay: The game play is good but not great. The cars should go a hell of a lot faster and the controls are a bit demented. Some of the missions are quite difficult which is hard to believe for a child's game. Even know this is directed to younger people it can go from 5-75. The way you can walk out of your car is great and sometimes hart to find on games , This really is an amazing game.
Graphics: I hate to say this but the visual is CRAP. I know this is a cartoon but did you have to make it look so crappy . Even the signs and buildings are a little blurry. Sorry but this was the games biggest flaw.
Sound: The sound is really funny because of all the voices you hear. They all have their catch phrases.{WARNING}Some people might find this annoying. it is understandable that they didn't have a real soundtrack as it is a cartoon.
Suggestions: could we please be able to pick up weapons to hit people with or something like that, Kicking isn't enough. Also please ,make cars go faster .

Overall: This game is set in the Simpsons town. You are homer, marge, apu, lisa, bart in diff. levels and race around town solving insane problems...WHICH IS PURE FUN!!!
Gameplay: Gameplay is like crazy taxi, the cars drive really well, i wasn't expecting that for a Simpson game, and the other good part of the game is that you also can get out of the car and explore the towns, its like Driver 2 were u can get out of your car and go into someone else's.
Graphics: their great...all the characters are rendered in 3d to the best xbox standards, some drawbacks are different character gliches but does not mess up the game at all.
Sound: the sound of birds and other town stuff is good also the car sound is good, and the music in the background gets the player into the game.
Suggestions: Online somehow would be cool.

Overall: The Simpsons Hit & Run is an in and out of the car, mission based game. You play as Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, & Apu, but you can drive around as many people aroun Sprigfield like, Cletus, Comic Book Guy, Principle Skinner, Snake, Grandpa, Frink, and many more.
Gameplay: The gameplay consists of in and out of car, mission based gameplay. Most of the missions will have you in a car, completing mission which include things like, races, collecting items, getting to a place in a certain time, deliverys, destroying cars and objects, and well, thats pretty much it. Most of the out of car missions pretty much just have you doing some platforming to reach something. Even though there are a lack of mission types, they somehow all remain fresh and fun, because of the simpsons humor. There are 7 levels consisting of 7 story missions, 1 bonus mission, 3 steet races, and 1 wager race (2 for Homer, 2 for Bart, 1 for Lisa, 1 for Apu, and 1 for Marge). Really there are only 3 levels (Evergreen Terrence, Pier, and Downtown) But as the story progresses they change. For example the Evergreen Terrence level is use for levels 1, 4, and 7,but each time it changes. The first time you are there with Homer and it is normal, level 4 you are there with Marge, it is at night and more is accsesible (like you can go into Mr. Burns' mansion, which you could not do in level 1), and at level 7 with Homer, The town is is mostly in ruins, zombies everywhere, etc. (you can even climb to the conference room of the power plant, where you can find Mr. Burn hiding!)and the story will explain the zombies at the end. Oh, and that leads me to the story, it is pretty funny and very good, I don't want to ruin it for you though so I won't reveal anything! Here are some mission examples: One mission with Homer, you have to help Marge steal all of the new video games (Bonestorm),because they are too violent. You drive with Marge(with Homer as the passenger) and you bash the delivery trucks, collect the dropped games, and store them in you trunk.
Graphics: Visually, the game is not ground breaking, but definatly great. It is in 3-D, but almost has sort of a cel-shaded feel to it. The environments are very detailed, down to names on mailboxes to your favorite Simpsons characters walking around. The character models are VERY good, as well as the cars, which realistically smoke, break, and catch fire! The movies are hilarious and very detailed.
Sound: Oh my gosh! This is probably the best qualities of the game. There are just so many people to talk to, all voiced by the cast of the seris! The sound bytes are very funny and there are enough of them so the game does not get too dull. The sound is overall, excellent!
Suggestions: Ok, we want more levels! More freedom to go into more buildings. Possibly weapons also. Otherwise great game!

Overall: One bit Simpsons and one bit GTA. This game is an awesome game that incorperates both of these games into one. The best Simpsons game yet!
Gameplay: The gameplay is a mixed bag. You can explore Springfield in 7 seperate levels collecting cards that inform you of some of the many Simpsons episodes. Also you can follow the main missions that are quite fun and tedious. The missions are somewhat repetitive, mostly the same. You usually have to drive somewhere, collect something, or bash the hell out of a car.

The game has a great sense of humour and sticks to the show quite well. Even the head of Jebediah Springfield kan be kicked off, true to one of the episodes. Mostly great gameplay with almost no bugs.
Graphics: The graphics in Hit and Run are not ground breaking, but do the job nonetheless. Surprisingly, the game is not cel-shaded, the characters are actually 3-D. Some minor lighting effects are used for pickud items and doors and such, but other than that there are no other significant graphic boosts. There is close to no slowdown which is great!

One of the best things is that everything is as I would expect it to be in the Springfield universe. Buildings are the same colour as in the show and have all the right details. Great job here.
Sound: The sound is almost perfect. H&R has gotten all of the actors from the show to do the voice acting, which is a blast. Characters all have a few wisecracks which can get annoying, but tend not to do so that much. Also, each character has specific music for when they are in their car, which is pretty cool. Plus different locations around the town can trigger different music tracks.

Suggestions: -Add a free-roam mode with all of Springfield included.

-More characters to choose from

-More buildings you can enter

-Other than that, great game. Keep up the good work!
