Overall: this was my first game,i am saying it
was, because i got rid of it,i trade this one
for bloodrayne, wich is terrible game too,i
happen to love blade movies and when i
played this game, i was totally
dissapointed,oh well,like i always say,it,s
just another game.so what.
Gameplay: gameplay was totally different than what i
have played on the past 20
years, everysingle move is based on the
rigth stick wich i founded wear aftyer
all,but new at the same time.
Graphics: blade 2 looks terrible on xbox, but if you
compared this version vs the ps2
version,i know the xbox version look way
better,it showed the difference between
xbox and ps2.
Sound: sound was great to me,i played this
game more than 5 times because i
happen to like all the music on this
videogame
Suggestions: activision *honks*,lately they been making
*honk* games like this one and spider
man,i played the first SPIDER MAN for
the psx and loved that game,it was
fun,but when i played SPIDER MAN the
movie for the xbox and ps2,i think those
games are the worse on the marvel
universe,i hope they don,t put their
hands on INCREDIBLE HULK.

Overall: Blade II was some what of a disappointment I loved the movies but the game was a little too easy and cheap looking. Very glad I only payed $10.00 for it.
Gameplay: The gameplay is awkward. The camera angles sometimes left you no visual of what was going on in the game. The way you fight with using only one thumbstick, very tiring, didn't feel like the player had much control over the fighting. It was like you just moved the stick around to kick and punch.
Graphics: Actual graphics were pretty bad for XBOX awesome standards, pretty bad compared to other games. The special moves cut scenes where pretty neat at first but they got old real quick and couldn't wait for them to be over to continue fighting
Sound: Sound effects for weapons where pretty cool. Most music was pretty up beat and kept you pumped for fighting.
Suggestions: Tap into the XBOX's graphic ability and improve there. Also make combat a little more controlled

Overall: The Game itself was good i likd the missions and the fighting but the graphics were a bit tastless,it could of been alot better.
Gameplay: The Gameplay was ok but i didn't like how the moves were done by the right analog button if it were just pressing A,B,X,Y to do things then maybe.
Graphics: The Graphics were ok but when i was playing the game it felt like i was far away when i was playing like i was not in the game.
Sound: The sound was good i liked the screams when you killed people and the sound of the gun and when you pull your sword out.
Suggestions: Yes Please get the graphics in gear i need to feel like im in the game. and lose the analog thing.

Overall: It?s a real fun game, if you like extreme butt-or-any-other-member- kicking then this is your gaame.
Although the story is not very interesting it makes sense.
There are many wweapons to choose from and you can also use your uber-vamp powers to increase the butt-kicking rate!
Gameplay: It gets repetitive as you play but you can use cheats to make it more interesting. Just one Giant thing, the end will let you down, it really sucks so there is not much need of you to pass the game it?s enough to get to the last level.
Graphics: Although it doesn?t look so great it does have the right vampiric-spooky atmosphere which makes the characters blend right into the stages.
Sound: The songs are really cool, raves are the edacuate songs for this game.
But the character says the same three prhases and it gets annoying.

Overall: Well it's like the movie. It trys to follow the storyline to a degree. It's not totally stuct on it though, so that's good. You know who Blade is, lol.
Gameplay: Well based on the reviews I didn't expect a very good game. However, I was happily surprised. I thought this game was fairly well done and I had a fun time playing it. I've played it for like 5 hours so far, and I'm about 3 quarters of the way through the game. It's not a hard game, but like I said it's fun. The controls I thought were good, which was my main concern from the reviews.
Graphics: I thought they did a pretty good job on the graphics as well. I dislike games right off the bat pretty much if the graphics don't appeal to me. This wasn't a problem for this game.
Sound: Didnt really notice anything extra special, but no complaints either. Sure blade only has a couple phrases that he uses, but he only says them once in a while. Not enough to get on my nerves at all.
Suggestions: Well, make it longer. Wish it had a 2 player mode, or some online content or playability. Not all that much as far as replay value goes.

Overall: Allright game, I like games where you can cut stuff up and shoot people, gore filled games, this had lots of that but there were alot of things that made this game no where near as good as it could have been.
Gameplay: Controls were strange, but i loved how the right joystick was used to fight more enemys at once, but that led to camera problems, not that much to do considering it was pretty much story mode only, could have used more weapons and multiplayer story mode.
Graphics: Looked a bit dodgy, but you expect that when you see it's on the PS2 as well, the graphics were pretty good, but they could have been way better.
Sound: Sounded pretty good, it was good that Wesley Snipes actually used his voice in the game, good have used some of the music in Hunter:The Reckoning.
Suggestions: You should be able to use the sword whenever you want and there should be multiplayer and more to do.

Overall: If you have seen the movies then writing this part is easy - YOU ARE BLADE IN EVERY RESPECT! All his weapons , Martial Arts are at your lethal disposal. Fantastic.
Gameplay: First of all I think the other reviews are way to hard on this game in all departments. Trust me the developers have got the balance of weapons just right. "Why can't I use the sword all the time?" they say. Yeh right, if they gave you the use of it all the time you wouldn't bother with the kungfu blast your way quickly thro' the whole game and complain that it was over too quick, wouldn't you! Dummy.
The whole point of this game is SURVIVAL HORROR and it has been worked to perfection. With the right blend of weapons you might just mke it - save the sword power to help you out when all seems lost and you've spent your ammo. Forcing you to kick !&%$@#* kungfu to get the use of your sword is a Brilliant Idea. Anyway I like the chop socky stuff and all Blades moves are in there, god it's him , it is. The design of both joysticks to fight with is instinctive and superb, it works well. "let me decide when and how to punch and kick they say" NO , as it would start looking like you and not him, anyways move further back for kicks and in close for fierce punch combos. Besides you cannot have Tekken style fight system in a 3D arena with this many enemies, you would be fumbling around trying to work out which type of punch to hit at 4 different fighters ER NO! this would soon make it slow, less fluid and boring. Dummies. The 3D fight system is terrific! Easy! Fluid! Fights as Blade! It rocks. Believe it.
Also, one of the things I hate is getting the "Empty Corridor" situation. You know, when the designers make it a hard puzzle to open up the next levels ; you quickly kill off the enemies and end up chasing around "Empty Corridors"
NONE OF THAT HERE I'M GLAD TO SAY!
If you want Empty Corridors then go play Res Evil or something ; not this Blade quickfire Survival Horror.

Graphics: Visuals are excellent. Zoom up close on Blade like I have done - he is Perfectly rendered to the finest detail including his teeth. The weapons all superb and carryed & removed as and when he needs them.
His long black coat flows and moves like nothing I've seen before as he walks/jumps etc and I seen alot; FULLY LIGHT SORCED AS EVEN THE STROBE LIGHTS IN THE DISCO'S BOUNCE OFF IT , YEHAAAA.
Usong the Clave rocks.
The death moves are so good you are pressed to tell them apart from the movie. Fabulous. the PS2 is not capable of this many polygons on this many dying vampires at one time I am sure. YOU ARE BLADE.
Sound: Sound is good. Not straight out the movie but very simiular. I liked it.
More importantly all the weapon sounds are a super copy of the movie.
Suggestions: Nothing - Brilliant Job - Don't change the gameplay balance at all. I want more of this stuff for Xbox!

Overall: I had higher hopes for this game, and I am sorry to say, I was sorry disappointed. There were several frustrating elements in the game that lends to the overall appeal rating that I have given. My suggestion? Rent it first before you purchase it. Some games are just a given, like Halo, buy it :), but some need some time and a little bit of $$$ to test it out first.
Gameplay: This is probably my major gripe center was gameplay. You control the direction that Blade attacks by pressing the right thumbstick in the direction of his enemies. So you can attack multiple enemies at once, but Blade chooses what moves he performs on each one. Lack of move performed here is one big downer :( Another, as others have mentioned, is you hardly ever get to use his sword. What's up with that? His name is Blade. He's got a kick butt sword. But you hardly ever get to use it? When you do get to use it, it is righteous. But these times are few and far between. The levels almost get a tedious feel to them as well. Blow up bikes. Blow up cars. Etc. Bleh. Mabye it gets better on later levels :/
Graphics: Graphics are ok on this game. Nothing to write home about. Once again, the developer saves some development $$$ and creates a PS2 version, then ports it out.
Sound: Sound and background music were actually pretty decent. However, not enough to help raise the overall gameplayability or appeal, I'm afraid.
Suggestions: Use the sword whenever you want or at least more often. Give us the ability to choose what kicks, punches, etc that he delivers out to the vamps. That way, we will feel like we are really in control of Blade and not just pressin' a button to see what he decides he wants to do.

Overall: I think that the graphics of the game kinda s*ck but its worth trying coz gameplay is better, but its also to bad that there are only like 4 weapons or something, that sux
Gameplay: It has a good gameplay except for the fact that there are to much little bugs in it, and you cannot use the sword whenever you want, you only get it when you are raged or whatever, but the positive thing is that you must choose ur equipment before the mission begins, and gotta think with what you do, so you cannot choose a pistol(wichs fun to shoot with lol) with 1 magazin and shoot like 10 bullets on each vamp, you gotta use your brains with that one
Graphics: The graphics are kinda crappy for a Xbox game, not much to say about it, i think it sux, the scenes are blocky
Sound: sound is good, the music rox and the gunsounds are cool to, but most voices aren't real, thats to bad
Suggestions: the graphics must be better then this, and try to put real voices of the acters and get rid of those annoying reapers ffs and those idiotic zombies

Overall: Initially I thought this would be a pretty cool game, hey more vampires to waste. I thoroughly enjoyed Buffy the Vampire Slayer so surely Blade2 would be at least on par with that right? Wrong! You can tell a bad game when you hire it out and your kids would prefer to play games that they've owned for months over the new one. Not a good start. I was bored with this game within an hour and only played it for 3 hours so I felt like I at least got my moneys worth out of the rental
Gameplay: The gameplay in Blade2 was substandard at best. It left me feeling like I had no control over how Blade attacked his opponents. I keep comparing this game to Buffy the Vampire Slayer because it's of the same ilk and Buffy's gameplay has it ALL OVER Blade2, there is no comparison at all.
Graphics: The Graphics were ok. Definately a notch below what I've come to expect from Xbox. The Vampires burning up could've been so much better. The way the levels looked was not bad, even if the designs were bland.
Sound: Little to no ambience to the sound. Dolby was used adequately, but not on the level of other games. The music in Bladewas good, in fact this was the best part of the game.
Suggestions: It's effectively a fighting game right? So let us choose how Blade attacks, this was by far what ruined the game for me. I felt like I was merely pushing the thumbstick and Blade did whatever he wanted to. In fact I suggest you guys get hold of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and take notes.

Overall: blade has all the strengths and none of the weaknesses of vampires. this happened to him by his mother getting bitten by a vamp whilst being whilst in labour with blade. thus he swore to defend the human race and avenge his mothers death. he is a slayer, not like buffy because buffy is just crap. he uses guns, swords and all sorts of other gadgets to kill his enemy.
Gameplay: i thought the gameplay was pretty bloody good. i loved doing all the finishing moves, and kicking the !&%$@#* out of vampires. the controls took a little bit of getting use to but that was no big deal. all in all i thought it was bloody wonderful
Graphics: well the graphics could have been a little bit better as blade looked like he was mentally challenged or like he had an extremely bad case of an itchy a@!#. but again only sometimes he looked like this. besides the graphics really don't worry me much, just as long as it has good gameplay
Sound: the sound i really liked, but i just wish they get the sound track of the movie and get it onto the game! the sound of all the guns being fired and the swords being wielded and the and the special blade things thrown are really good. they really impressed me in this department
Suggestions: make the graphics a bit better. and have the soundtrack of the movie on the game. apart from that, the game is fine

Megaherz *RAGE*
Date reviewed: September 16, 2002.

Overall: One evening, in a hospital of a region still stranger, a strange phenomenon occurred. A woman had been bitten by one sort of creature in the carotid and this one was encircled with a child. Regrettably the mother of blade suc !&%$@#* bed has her wounds but the child survived. Blade has all the forces of the vampire but has no weakness from those except that he got their bloodthirstiness. Blade is slayer quite as buffy but the stakes are not is favourites weapon and his boss is not an old librarian, in fact it is a new kind of slayer and possibly the greatest of all the time. Does Blade 2 is good as the movie, just read my review to have the answer ?
Gameplay: When i first play Blade 2, i encounter some major problem with the joystic because you must fight with the one at your right and this is impossible to win with your gun because you didn't have enough ammo. Also the primary objectives and the secondary objectives are always the same ( destroy computer, kill some reaper or find something to pass through the levels ). The weapon carry system is really great because you must think about what you need to accomplish the mission but the blade special power is boring because you can't take his sword when you want. I really seen better in the pass !
Graphics: When you start the game, you can see the blade 2 trailers. In fact, it was a publicity in a game, where we are going ? Ok i must admit that it's was really cool to see. The in game graphic are so so, blade is not looking as Wesley Snipes, the story of the movies didn't fit with the game, the background and the object are not so well and when a vampire goes to dust it's pretty ugly.
Sound: The music is probably the only perfect thing here. A mix with some techno and trance music is the way to give the best of a soundtrack. I didn't remember a lot about the sound but as i said habitually : when i forgot, it's because it was ok.
Suggestions: Multiplayer, better graphic, deeper gameplay !

Overall: It's fun. The story lacks the depth and intrigue of the movie, as it is set after the death of the Reavers, but it makes up for it in gameplay. Bottom line, wasting vampires and becoming the Daywalker is cool all by itself. Interesting point system, but this one lacks the replayability. Once you are done, you are done. Rent but don't buy.
Gameplay: It's fun. The story lacks the depth and intrigue of the movie, as it is set after the death of the Reavers, but it makes up for it in gameplay. Control is good. I would have liked to see a more interesting unarmed combat system. Somehow timing my pushes of the right analong stick in the direction of the enemies deprives me of the satisfaction I get from beating someone senseless in DoA3 or something of the like. It's fun, but it gets old. The levels progress slowly, each level getting progressivly larger, with ridiculous objectives. (i.e. smash 3 big purple things to open a door). The only real beef I had was that I couldn't use my sword whenever I wanted to. I had to pummel 6000 guys to get my blood rage meter up, and then I can draw my sword. This is stupid as hell. I would be using my sword constantly if I were him. Other than these minor things, the game is fun, you get to do cool finishing moves, but don't expect ultra-realism in terms of combat or shooting.
Graphics: This was good. Blade looks almost right, except for his arms look very strange, and in an attempt to make his facial features as suave and cool as wesley snipes, he looks either mentally retarded or constipated. The environments were neat, I liked some of the explosions, and the blood effects are nice. Vampire elders and such look excellent. All in all, very nice.
Sound: Hmm... The sounds themselves were very nice, and the Wesley Snipes impersonator was almost right. My big thing was the timing. I found that he would do some cool move, all the other baddies would sorta stand around and wait for him to deliver his line, ("Ooh, so exciting.") A lot of the sounds were out of place or strange. Gunshots good, slicing noises good, but they went and synthesised the blood rave song from blade one and some other tracks. The blade soundtrack is arguably the best movie soundtrack out there; I would have liked to hear the kicking tracks from the soundtrack as I ran down the halls kicking ass.
Suggestions: Guys. Get the real stuff from the movie. Real voices, proper tracks, etc. If you are going to link them so much as to leave in a trailer for the movie, then please at least have the movie sounds and songs.
