Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding
Overall: I started out renting this game because I'm not big on Tony Hawk or SSX type games. Well after two weeks of late fees I took the stores copy back and I went out and bought my own copy. I love this game. The lerning curve was a little steep but I got it down pat after a couple of hours and after that it was all downhill (no pun intended).
Gameplay: I played this so much I have a blister on my thumb. Pulling off bigger and bigger tricks. I like the sponser challenges I feel that they really help develop your style force you to learn moves you wouldn't normally try. The pro challenges where a little tough but I'll get better.
Graphics: Stunning with no pop-up is the best. The Characters look great and the mountains in the distance are breathtaking.
Audio: The soundtrack was pretty good but after about a day I burned about 3 hours of Xmas music to board to, nothing like pulling off a double front flip to Little Drummer Boy buy Bing and Bowie. I love the use your own music option I wish more games used it.
Suggestions: Help with the snowman challenge
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Airforce Delta Storm
Overall: I must have gotten a different game than the one everyone else has gotten. The game I played was eyecandy with poor gameplay. It was boring and repetitive, and is it me but isn't it very similar (read exact copy) to a dreamcast title of a similar name? Rent this before buying.
Gameplay: BORING and having to clear the air on the way to the missions was so lame (throttle, up wait till enemy appears on close radar, throttle back, hard right, now fall in behind, fire missle, he dies) Buying different planes was an interesting twist but not needed to finish the game. I had about five million dollars left at the end of the game because I used the same plane for over half the game hoping for a challenge.
Graphics: Good but nothing really amazing sorry guys but games like Halo and NFL Fever have raised the bar now you need good gameplay to compete. Also on the after mission replay only being able to see your jet was lame.
Audio: Picture Iron Eagle with worse muzak, nuff said. The fact that I could hear the missle behind me was kinda cool but not enough to make up for the poor music and gameplay.
Suggestions: Come into the future Buy USAF for the PC take some notes and move into the future.
Overall Score: 5.0 / 10 NFL Fever 2002
Overall: I love this game! I've been playing electronic football since tecmobowl (still the greatest) but this game is a close second. I have all the big games DOA3, HALO, PGR but I use this game to showcase my system when people come over.
Gameplay: I loved the ease of play you can just jump right in. But it can be as complex as you want it to be (Team Manager Mode). The physics are unbelivable, the fact that you can almost feel your running back pumping his feet trying for those extra yards is awesome.
Graphics: Nothing compares with this game it really showcases the Xbox's power. The greatest moment was after playing my brother for almost an hour it came down to a field goal for him to win the game and he hit the uprights with it and lost. I zoomed it in and replayed it over and over from about 6 inches away YOU COULD EVEN HEAR IT HIT!! the ping as it hit the uprights was awesome!!!
Audio: Good but I turned the music, and after about a day the announcers, off. Is it to hard to record more than 25 phrases? You can only hear "What was the DB thinking on that one" so many times before the urge to kill is overwhelming.
Suggestions: Better music and commentary. When do we see NCAA Fever?
