Project Gotham Racing

Overall: Project Gotham Racing is one of the premier driving games I have played. Great graphics for the time and excellent gameplay. Also, certainly challenging races.

Gameplay: The controls are quick to pick up and work well with the game. The cars move and slide rather true to life, making the game that much more enjoyable.

Graphics: The cars are excellently detailed. The environments are also very pleasing to the eye. I've never been to any of the locations in the game, but I'd feel confident in saying that they'd look relatively close to how they do in the game

Audio: The sound is great. Well, the original music is crappy, but my custom soundtrack rocks which is what makes the sound in this game awesome. Also, nothing wrong with the SFX in this game.

Suggestions: Keep up the good work

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Halo: Combat Evolved

Overall: Halo is the epitome of video game. It's what every game wants to be and what every gamer wants to play. The perfect mix of a killer single player game with an addictive multiplayer experience.

Gameplay: I've been playing this game since launch and it still hasn't grown old on me. The campaign has a great story. Not to mention the Xbox controllers seem to be designed for Halo, not the other way arond. The controls are utterly perfect in every sense of the word. Also, the multiplayer, which is probably the cornerstone of the game, is probably one of the best experiences I've had over network gaming

Graphics: The graphics are excellent, for the time. I can't wait to see how they improve on such a beautiful piece of artwork in Halo 2

Audio: The musical score in this game is some of the best anywhere. The main theme is one of those themes that just gives you goosebumps. Plus the sound effects just rock.

Suggestions: Can't WAIT for Halo 2

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Overall: One of the best Xbox games to day providing an interesting storyline with some of the best steath gameplay I've ever had the priveledge to come across.

Gameplay: The controls are great, following a similar scheme to most Xbox action games. The gaming experience this game provides is second to none. The feeling one gets from slowly creeping out of the shadows and choosing a moment to strike is enough to make even the most critical gamer need a new change of underwear

Graphics: You know, attempting to describe the visuals in this game without using noises that, if spelled out, contain very few vowels, is next to impossible. So let me just break it down for you. They're very very good.

Audio: Again, excellent. The sound effects from the AI and Sam alike walking on different surfaces are very true to life. All the environment sounds are true to life, as far as I can tell. Plus, Name of the Game is a kick !&%$@#* song

Suggestions: More of the same :)

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 MechAssault

Overall: All in all a fun Mech game. However, now exactly my type of game, I don't think. The multiplayer certainly adds to it and makes it that much better, however. Personally, I think the multipalyer shines above the single player game.

Gameplay: The controls are pretty simple and it's pretty quick to pick up. The game is quite fun, but definitely becomes repetitive after a while and loses its appeal

Graphics: The visuals in this game are definitely nice. I really enjoy seeing buildings crumble after you shoot at them. Also, the proportions of the Mechs to the buildings and the people are good, which adds to the realism of them game.

Audio: No real complaints about the soundtrack. Nothing horrible, nothing extrordinary. Middle of the road, as far as I'm concerned.

Suggestions: I'd say work with the single player a bit more. Also four player split screen would be nice.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Deus Ex: Invisible War

Overall: As a huge fan of the original game(Personally I consider it to be the best game ever), getting my hands on the sequel made me giggle like a school girl. It surely didn't disappoint. An excellent gaming experience worthy of the name 'Deus Ex'

Gameplay: The physics in the game are great, with every object reacting near perfectly to how it would in real life. Even thoguh the gameplay is great, I do find it to be slightly inferior to its predecessor. I remember reading in an interview during the early stages of the game that they were going to try and compress all the interface and information screens, however I don't really like this move. As someone with a short attention span I find my mind wandering from time to time and miss parts of a conversation. In Deus Ex this wouldn't have been a problem since it logged all your conversations, but Invisible War doesn't. I also kind of miss the point system to upgrade your skills, instead of having to use a biomod slot in order to hack a computer, for example. Finally I just felt the story moved along to quickly. Albeit a GREAT story and i love it to death, I would have liked to have seen it slow down, maybe over a couple trips to a couple other locations. All in all, I still really loved how the game played out, but not quite as much as I did in the original Deus Ex

Graphics: The visuals in this game are definitely stunning. No other way to describe it. Every model in the game is very well designed and looks great. The shadowing off each character and object in the game is true to life and all around adds to the experience of the game.

Audio: As with the original Deus Ex the soundtrack in this game is great. from the main theme to the club music. I did notice somethings when listening to other peopel have conversations that there was a significant, unnatural pause between when one person talked and when the other person responded. Playing the game with a more steathy approach, I liked how I was able to hear footsteps as they moved cloer or further away so I could judge whether or not to make a break for it. Also, as cheesy as the one liners that the guards would throw out saying something about how he lost me were a great help to know that I can move out of hiding, for example.

Suggestions: I'd say bring back some of the things from Deus Ex, like the skill points system, and conversation logs. Also, try and stretch the story out over a couple more levels.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Overall: Absolutely amazing. This game is one of the reasons I'm a gamer. You go full fledged into the Star Wars universe with very interesting and amusing characters, each with their own in depth story to tell. The story is deep to keep you interested the whole way through, with some surprising plot twists along the way. The enviroments are thorough with many side quests and a few mini-games to enjoy. Some little elements and information that will surely make fans of the movies smile. This game was worth all I paid for it, right down to the last penny.

Gameplay: The gameplay flows nicely. The battle system employs a sort of combination of real time and turn based elements. However it did take me a bit to master it. Also, watching the characters fight as opposed to fighting yourself was a bit of a let down, albeit a very small and insignificant one. The controller scheme is very well set up and takes very little time to master. The game itself is challenging with multiple ways out of situations, most of the time based on if you wish to pursue a light side or dark side paths

Graphics: The graphics are definitely, dare I say, above par with todays standerds. I haven't seen many RPGs that look this good. The landscapes of the enviroments are almost breathtaking if you can look past the fact it's nothing but bump mapping and pixels The cinematic cut scenes are also a treat. Camera angels are smooth 99% of the time. Really a treat to play

Audio: The sound in this games is also a great. With many pieces coming directly from the movies and being played at the appropriate time it's enough to give a fan goosebumps. The music shifts appropraitely during certain situations.

Suggestions: Perhaps another game of similiar style in a different era? Maybe making one post-ROTJ set in the distant future. I absolutely loved uncovering new information and history about the Star Wars universe.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
