Overall: I think the game is a lot of fun as I enjoy this style of fighter and always have. I would say rent it first though as you may not enjoy it and regret buying it.
Gameplay: This game is primarily a 2 player game as the arcade is too easy to beat. You can bash buttons and jump around and have a lot of fun in the game but if you are a serious gamer you can get very good tactically so there is a lot more to this game than what is on the surface. It's fast and fun but only appeals to certain gamers. You either love it or hate it and there's no in between.
Graphics: It looks like it does in the arcade pretty much. Bright, good character designs, but choppy at times. The end boss looks like crap and kinda looks like they just threw him in to get the game on the market already. The good characters look great and are fun to use but it's basically just the top characters used and the others are useless so that hurts the game.
Sound: There is a lot of sounds in this game as each character has specific moves but the hits generally all sound the same. The music is tacky as most arcade fighters are and not much work was put into it. But it is loud, fast, and adds excitement to the fast paced fighter.

Overall: Classic arcade fighting game with your favorite comic book heros from Marvel and cool Capcom characters. But for an XBOX game, they need to put some more work into it rather than just a port. Sure, we all like the arcade look of it all but come on, get with the recent technology and make a kick-ass game!
Gameplay: Can be favorable to those button mashers out there. But for you people who know what you are doing, it can be really fun. I was never one to memorize my favorite character's moves so the gameplay is alright. Trying to get those super combos is a challenge but fun to do.
Graphics: Crappy. For an xbox game, this is almost disgusting. They were going for the arcade look but come on, even Tekken improves on their graphics. Pitiful.
Sound: Meh, nothing special here. Just the same ole same ole. They need to get some new stuff into the game.
Suggestions: Upgrade and show some progress by using the great hardware MS has put together. Next Gen graphics better look insane.

Overall: I loved the Dreamcast version and this title is the same with better graphics. So the subtle improvments are good enough for me. I really love this game and can't see myself ever getting bored of it.
Gameplay: The gameplay is great I mean how could you not love pulling off all these wonderful combos. To me this is the best Capcom fighting game of all time.
Graphics: I love how they decided to use a 3-d background for the 2-d characters. Visually it is beautiful. I mean the vast amount of colors that rush to the screen when you do combos are tight.
Sound: The sound is fine with me, but I do wish they would of updated the music a little because it is kind of annoying, but you can't blame them for wanting to keep it old school.
Suggestions: I wish they would have added Xbox Live to it, but I know it was because of legal issues with the Marvel licensing. The sad thing is having live probably would have easily doubled it's sales, but now people might shy away from this great title.

far i am still the best in my area with the

Overall: Awesome game. Happy to see Xbox finally released a 2D fighting game with such great gameplay value which appeals to those who enjoy this style game. Fast paced and intense fighting game. love it.
Gameplay: Great gameplay. High paced action becomes very addicting and the drive to becoming a pro at the game to. Lots of fun to play.
Graphics: Visuals could use work but it is identical to the arcade graphics. But still some things could have been smoothed out to make the game even better.
Sound: Typical sounds for this style of game. No gliches in it at all and the music did not cut out at times like in Capcom vs. SNK 2:EO which is much appreciated.
Suggestions: Hope it isn't true about this being one of the last 2D fighting games. 3D games are completely different and it just wouldn't be the same without this type of game.

Overall: A great 2D fighter with loads of
characters and tons of fast paced,
confuse your friends who have never
played before action!
Gameplay: The game play is fast, fun and
faaannnntaaasticcc! Doesn't take too
long to get used to, however the hyper
combos are a little too easy to execute
(left and right triggers)
Graphics: The grapics could have looked better but
I like how it looks exactly like the arcade
game. Doesn't take away from the overall
greatness of the game.
Sound: The music is cheesy and doesn't really
get you psyched to smash your friends
with 103 hit combos. Usually the
explosive sounds for the fights drown it
out though.
Suggestions: I would suggest making the hyper
combos a little more difficult to execute
and add me as a character in the game.

Overall: Lots of Charaters, But i can't belive this game is in the top 10 fighting games and Capcom vs. SNK 2 isn't.
Gameplay: The game is pretty fun and really fast paced. The thing i didnt like was the fact that you only needed to hold the two trigger buttons to perform super attacks. Alos the absence of the mid attack.
Graphics: The game is pretty pixelated with 3d backrounds. I'm giving this game a 2.5 for graphics because for a 2D game it looks a lot more pixelated than it should. I think these games need to take a lesson from Guilty gear X which is 2d fighting with great resolution
Sound: Good music, great sound effects I like how most of the character sounds haven't really changed over the years (spider-man doesn't sound like Tobey maguierre)
Suggestions: Endings, this game had no ending what i suggest is that these fighting games need to have more ending sequences.

Overall: An action packed 2D fighter with a strong emphasis on huge hitting combos. Very fast paced and tons of fun for any fan of the genre!

This is the type of game that you can never get tired of and will still pick up a few years from now just to pull off some sick 100+ hit combos.

Originally intended to be on XBL, it got online play cancelled somewhere along its way. Capcom vs. Snk 2 offers XBL play, so you would think this game would do it as well, but alas, who can understand the mind of a game developer?
Gameplay: Well, gameplay is pretty straight forward and closely resembles all those classic 2D fighters you remember playing. One good twist is that each round is a match of 3 on 3 fighters.

Very short (2-3 second) loading time per match. Over 55 characters are available, however not all at the start. The game will keep you playing just to earn credits. These credits are then used to purchase new characters, stages, artwork and more!

Controls are quite responsive and the button config is quite simple. the A,X,B,Y buttons are used for high and low punches and kicks whereas the triggers allow you to call in other teammates to assist you in your combo moves.
Graphics: Sadly, this is a part of the game where you can start to see how outdated some of the character models are. Sometimes not looking much different than they did on your SNES in Street Fighter II!! The 3d backgrounds are quite nice however and go well with the 2D sprites kicking !&%$@#* in front of them.

Capcom seriously needs to redo the artwork for their characters for their next game. However, the animations are all well done and things run smoothly even with the screen turning 15 different colors as a Hadouken blast fills half the screen :)

That said, we could definitely have seen something much better on Xbox, but I guess Capcom wanted to stay true to the arcade version.
Sound: The music sounds like a jazz lounge and is definitely an acquired taste, and after 5 minutes I had decided I wasn't going to do any acquiring. Luckily, the music can be turned off in the option menu.

The sound effects for kicks and punches all seem spot on and include the classics that you'll remember from Street Fighter II at the arcade.

No 5.1 and no custom soundtrack support. These could have made the game better, but not there this time.
Suggestions: Rework the 2d character models. Add some custom soundtrack support. Add XBL support!!

Overall: The game is fun, no doubt about that. With 56 different characters, multiple new levels to unlock as well as the ability to change how they assist, this game will keep you busy for awhile to come. There are some basic things that should have been done/changed, but for the most part, they did it right.
Gameplay: Gameplay runs very smooth with no hickups at all. I love the ability to unlock tons of different characters and new playing levels. However, why is there no X-Box Live support? I mean Capcom vs SNK2 has it, so why not this one? That would have been a great addition to make this one a keeper. However, from the various ways to play it, it does retain the ability to capture the player's attention for quite a while. One problem that I noticed was there was only the one ending (if you could even call it an ending). It would have rocked to have an interactive story mode like DOA 3 or X-men even. But as it is, no matter who you beat the game with, the ending is always the same. "Thanks for playing Marvel vs Capcom, please play again". Then credits. Talk about boring :x The ending could def use some spice as well as some kind of a story line at least :/
Graphics: Graphics are ok. I mean it's a traditional 2D fighter, so it's what I have come to expect. Colors are bright. But I can't help but imagine what it would have/could have been like if it were done in a 3D aspect like MK:DA or DOA 3. Hmmm.....
Sound: Sound was, again, what I have come to expect. However, that cheesy guy after every fight "I almost had a heartattack" or some other cheesy saying got really old after every fight. In fact, it was old and cheesy even after the first fight :) Get rid of the cheesy guy and get some decent "choose player" music other than "I wanna take you for a ride" crap.
Suggestions: Great idea on the unlockables. However, no X-Box Live support? What were you thinking? Dump the cheesy sayings after the fights and adopt (at a minimum) a storyline.

Overall: I went to Eb looking to pick up something new that might be out but when I saw that this was availible for xbox I didnt hesitate for a second to buy it. I have fond memories of this game and am happy to be able to play it again and see all my favorite marvel characters. This game is great and highly recommended especially if you were a fan of the original.
Gameplay: The combos are awesome and huge and all the moves are cool and well animated. Button mashing wont help get you too far as it really is about building the best team of heroes in order to win. I will definitely be playing this game to master it.
Graphics: I was a little taken aback at first because I think I was expecting a more polished look but in truth the look is a large part of the appeal as it looks and plays just like the original arcade version. Very vibrant colors and the amount of different characters is amazing.
Sound: This is the only gripe I had. The main music is waaay too cheesy and repetitive ( I wound up just turning down the music volume). The sound effects and voices are great just like the old arcade. It would have been perfect had they allowed for ripped music to be used. Oh well.
Suggestions: Great game. A welcome and wonderful classic to bring to the xbox. Really could have used better music though.
