Dead Or Alive Delayed
The Japanese Xbox 360 launch took another major hit today when Tecmo announced a delay in the release of Dead or Alive 4. Originally scheduled to launch with the system on 12/10, Team Ninjas latest will now hit one week later on 12/17. IGN was given access to Team Ninjas development studio last week and learned that DOA4 was, at the time, 95% complete. We were able to play the game and could have been fooled into thinking it was a complete title, what with its slick presentation and the surprising amount of content. Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagaki stated to us that the last five percent is one of the more important periods of development, and Team Ninja plans on giving the game close attention during this final phase. With Dead or Alive 4 now missing and Enchant Arm having recently been pushed back to January 12, the Japanese X360 launch now stands at a paltry six titles. On day one, gamers will be able to pick up Ridge Racer 6, Every Party, Perfect Dark Zero, FIFA06, Tetris and Need for Speed Most Wanted. Somewhat surprisingly, the original Xbox had more Japanese support at its launch.Source: www.ign.com
