Max Payne

Overall: Great action and an even better story. A fairly straightforward action game that keeps you hooked due to the great story. Bullit time never seemd to get old. Great visuals and sound. Nothing extra than the PC version. Extremely fun to play.

Gameplay: It's the story and Bullit Time that keep you playing. MP is a atraight forward action game but you ar always pressing forward to see new areas and the story keeps the game going at a great pace. Bullit Time is simply an awesome gameplay addition. A short game but there is some replay value in the harder difficulty modes but not much.

Graphics: Max Payne has great visuals and tuns pretty smoothly. The areas look great and they have a gritty feel. The visual mood is perfect for this game. Max animation are great especialy in Bullit Time.

Audio: Everything sounds like you think it should. The music is dark and moody and the sound effects for your weapons are great. Voice acting is also excellent.

Suggestions: Great game, please give us a sequel. Some new weapons would be cool and keep that Bullit Time!!

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Halo: Combat Evolved

Overall: Halo is one of the best FPS and video games, on any console, ever! A gripping science fiction story with constant action and huge levels. Halo may not be the most original games, it simply is one of the most fun to play.

Gameplay: Halo is full of action and fragging aliens never seems to get old particularly if you team up with a friend and play split screen co-op which adds alot of stategy and depth to the game. The enemy intellegence in Halo rivals any other FPS easily. Try playing on Legendary diffculty to get a real taste ot the A.I. What also seperates Halo is that you can only carry two weapons at any given time which makes for some intersting strategy depending on which specific aliens you are facing. Add a excellent story to set the pace and you have some kick !&%$@#* gameply. Driving the vehicles could be A game within itself.

Graphics: Huge levels and almost endless draw distances. Very detailed envoirments and the texture work in this game is some of the best yet in video games. The Marines and aliens are well detailed and move smoothly. Weapon effects are great and the lighting is well done. The faces of some of the Marines could have been a tad better. Weapons and ships look great.

Audio: Halo's soundtrack should be avialble seperatley in stores. Yes, it is that good. Halo's music would fit right in with today's top science fiction movies. Some of the best music in a video game, period!

Suggestions: Make a sequel, please!

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Blood Omen 2

Overall: Good presentation and some nice CG cutscences. Not as polished as the Soul Reaver series and lacking in depth. Where are the RPG elements that made Blood Omen so great? Excellent voice work.

Gameplay: Kill someone, open a box, fight a boss. That's pretty much it. The story may keep you playing for a while but there is some real shallow gameplay here. Not what i expected considering the other titles in the series.

Graphics: Smooth frame rate that slows down at times and a clean crisp visual look. Kain is highly detailed and is animated well but the locations and level design just are not up to bar with the rest of the games in the series. Nice lighting effects.

Audio: Excellent voice work. Music is pretty good and moody but there isn't enough of it. Sound effects are good but nothing spectacular.

Suggestions: Blood Omen 2 is a straight action game with little exploration and no RPG elements which made the other games so deep. You may want to rent this one first. I'm only compeled to finish this game becvause I want to hear Kain's voice and hear the rest of the story. A bit of a dissapointment overall.
