BMX XXX
Overall: I like this game. Sure, there was a lot of hype, so I can understand some of the disappointment many have. This game is not for kids, and this is precisely why I bought it. For once I wanted a game that wasn't so "correct" and this is it. OK, so the objects in this game are not well thought out, but the game is entertaining. I give it a 4... most games are not as fun as this, but of course there are a handful that are much better.
Gameplay: It takes a little while to get used to doing all the tricks. Maybe an hour or so until you really start having fun. Unfortuneately this is a game you absolutely must read the manual to learn how to play, and the manual isn't written that great. But it's all worth it when you see the cut-scenes of the girls from Scores.
Graphics: Ok... so it isn't Halo or Splinter Cell. But it's a BMX game, and personally I think the graphics are very well done. But having real video of the girls losing their clothes makes me give this a 4.5. Sorry BMX bashers!!
Audio: Nice soundtrack. Good sound effects. Nothing bad, nothing great. This is the type of game where you aren't playing to listen to sound effects anyway. We were all laughing too much to notice them anyway.
Suggestions: This game was cutting-edge in a lot of ways... bad language, hookers, pimps, strippers... I loved it! Hopefully others follow your lead. I go to Scores often and would love to have more of the girls dancing on my TV screen.
Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Quantum Redshift
Overall: I love this game. Highly addictive and lots of weapons to unlock. I'm not even close to mastering it and I've been at it for a while now. The game has multi-player so you can destroy your friends who haven't had as much practice as you. Tournament play is what I am stuck on now and I have a long way to go until I reach Redshift.
Gameplay: The game is fast!! It takes a while to learn the tracks and master each level. You will not breeze through this game like some others I've played. It probably took me a good hour of playtime to win my first race, and since then I've been really hooked.
Graphics: The graphics are breathtaking. Anyone that tells you different needs to get their vision checked. With the exception of Halo, you'll find no better game as far as visuals go. Trust me, I've played them all.
Audio: Not everyone will enjoy the soundtrack, but I did. A big plus with QR is that you can load in your own music off of the hard drive. Other sound effects are definitely a good effort as well.
Suggestions: Please make a sequel with new tracks and characters!! And do some better marketing... this is one of the finer games I've played yet no one I know has ever heard of it until now. Make the sequel available online.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Star Wars: Obi-Wan
Overall: Ok so the movie wasn't as great as we had hoped.... This game is much better than Starfighter. You have a mission with goals, and although it can get a bit tricky at times the game is smooth and addictive until the end.
Gameplay: Controls are easy to get used to. However, moving Obi-Wan around takes a little time to master. Using the force is a blast, and the tutorial makes learning the game easier.
Graphics: Graphics are nice, but not spectacular. Unfortuneately for Obi-Wan every game is compared to Halo, which is simply beautiful. This game is not disappointing at all though, and the boards have nice depth to them.
Audio: The music is excellent, as in the movie as well. Ditto for the sound effects. I swear my neighbor thought there was a light saber fight going on in here one day.
Suggestions: Game was fun to beat. Hopefully the next games due out will take advantage of Xbox' graphics potential.
