Counter-Strike

Overall: Great game, even better than PC. I was excited at first cause people kept saying it was coming out and I didn't really see them taking action on it, but then closer to release date I realized it was and it was going to be awesome.

(I bought it and rented two copies, then gave a friend a game to trade in to get it!) Showed 5people, all are buying it.

Gameplay: Great gameplay - smooth as silk - and the bots are sooo smart!!! :) They make for a great practice even for the novice.

Graphics: Not perfect, but it doesn't matter - the newfangled lighting effect is awesome and makes up for the lack thereof.

Audio: Realistic, no complaints in this area... and has option for soundtrack if you like backround noise to the sound of you capping people.

Suggestions: One main complaint by me and my friends - system-link is screwy after you play a game... the guests load the next game TOO fast and the host is too slow.

Perhaps a patch via LIVE to download - "A waiting room so host can load" to chat about stats for a minute. Or just pause the loading till host is done.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Halo: Combat Evolved

Overall: I've been in all the iGAMES tourney's for this game, and have played it since the month it was released.

This game has more replay value than any other thus far.

We still to this day have LAN parties dedicated to this game as we have since the beginning. Lately, there has been a mass of old school halo addicts and newbies that are all coming to these LANS... just when we thought we and others fun level of the game was wearing thin... we meet newcombers that are really getting good and more competition always arises.

BUY IT TODAY... buy a second copy for a friend.

This title... almost makes it buying an xbox just for HALO! :D

S!RUS

Gameplay: ^READ ABOVE^

The gameplay is great, takes a bit to get used to (especially if you started in the beginning w/ out playing xbox b4)

I hope there are a few more options w/ buttons just for the sake of those who have to complain, but I love BOXER mode. It's my pal.

Ok, there are some bugs, and some say shooting bugs, BUT i disagree w/ most of those.

If you like many of us have, turned up your look sensitivity - then see some one turn super fast and shoot (seemingly not pointing directly at you and you die) thats just because of there look sensitivity.

If you don't believe me, take two players on split screen... turn up the sensitivity on one, really high, then start and kill or melee the 2nd player - after doing so (before the 2nd respawns) start spinning over his body and watch how there is a little glitch for the 2nd players view of you. although the 2nd player views you as not turning, your First person screen will show your actual view.

The reason for this might be a small error in how others see you, but also makes for a slight disadvantage for HIGH SPEED look sensitivity.

Graphics: Great visuals, 2nd will be so much greater, just look at the time they are taking to make sure its as perfect as possible. Some jaggies, and mess ups w/ the multi player maps, falling thru maps or body thru walls after deceased, but doesn't matter, TOO GREAT to complain about the small things.

Audio: SOUND is the coolest I've heard, many nights I've slept w/ those monks still in my head... ok maybe I've played it a little too much. or not.

Suggestions: hurry w/ the 2nd... but not too much.

*also allow for both vertical and horizontal look sensitivity options!

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Project Gotham Racing

Overall: The Best Arcade Style Racer, yet! Can't wait for the second. The graphics, sound (own music allowed), gamelplays just great.

Wished they'd made it linkable, we need a good racer that system linkable.

Gameplay: I love the way the cars handle, the kudos are just an added bonus. Easy to get into for a non-racing fan.

Graphics: Graphics are top-notch, especially since this was a release title for the xbox. No complaints in this department!

Audio: You can use your own soundtrack, or you can listen to the great soundtracks they provide for you. No complaints.

Suggestions: Make PGR:2 system linkable, since you are making it LIVE anyway.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Brute Force

Overall: A lot of time and effort went in to making this title what it is. Yes, there are many similarities of the structure and gameplay and controls to "Bungie's Halo."

If you buy it, go in with an open mind realizing its not a FPS and it is squad based and it will be a lot more fun with 3 friends having your back rather than 3 A.I.

---

Now... gameplay is tight, graphics aren't THE BEST, but are supperb, replay value is up there and will be higher -(with DL'able content coming).

I've only had the game 3 days and can now honestly say that it has been a great buy and will recommend all of you to do the same!

Gameplay: I really haven't played much of the deathmatch/Squad DM, but can tell you that the controls are great. I was scepitcle as many of you are - about it being 3rd person, but I think they made the right decision. It gives it a destinct feel and can't blame them because they had a vision and it's been a long one coming. (Since the XBOX came out I believe)

It's a little too much of a shoot em' up than I was hoping, but if you get the commands down you don't have to run and gun so much and can work on perfecting your gameplay, such as ratings stats and unlockables.

Some did state that you can just run and gun thru the level, but to finish the WHOLE mission - you need to stay alive and gain all the points needed.

Quarter screens suck in general, so if anyone says I'd don't like playing that game cause split screen is to small w/ 3-4 players. thats why you can PLAY 4 people on 4 consoles in mission gameplay!!! ANNNNDDD 2 per screen w/ 4 consoles.

DUHHH!

Graphics: The graphics and bumpmapping a great - the water movement, fog, and shadows all look great!

I love that when your peaking out and someone shoots, say a hill or the ground in front of you the dirt flies up realistically. Thats been one of my favorite touches I think. It's the small things I guess - LOL

Audio: All of the sound and voice-overs are right on key. I love it all - builds up great suspense and gives you a much needed laugh (when Tex smarts off) after having trouble with the previos mission.

Suggestions: CTF for DL'able content - more gametypes for multiplayer, maybe more missions w/ more characters - you know the drill...(if you have time and want to make a LASTING IMPRESSION of Brute Force out there.)

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 MechAssault

Overall: This game always needs a second look for gamers to get into it. I hated it the first time, cause I've never experienced a shoot-em'-up game like this one. I really enjoy playing multi-player! The missions can be a little anoying, but once you get the hang of a good mech, you'll enjoy it. Plus plenty of downloadables to keep it fun!

Gameplay: Controls aren't too hard to get used to, its the not getting too close to exploding mechs and buildings that gets ya. Once you realize what the game is about and how easy it is to get hooked, you'll love it!

Graphics: Visuals aren't the greatest, but this gamemaker from what I'm told isn't exactly one of the biggest ones around and for what this game is, the graphics do fine. If they make a second there are a lot of things they'll have money to fix since this one was such a hit!

Audio: The voice-overs were kinda gay, some things were funny, but others were just dumb. I like how the music speeds up when you're near a mech, another area to work on for a sequel tho.

Suggestions: Better voice-overs and music, graphics could be better, but great game none the less. Hope a sequel is being made!

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10
