Serious Sam
Overall: This game is the ultimate balls to the wall first-person shooter. No thinking, just tons and tons of alien killing. The game's insane and never lets up on the action.
Gameplay: I've played both PC versions, and it was a million times better on Xbox. The controls were ultra-sweeeeet and kept the action a-flowing
Graphics: Serious Sam looks fantastic. The environments, the aliens, the effects. Everything about it blows me totally away.
Audio: You can hear things running up to you, and you get all the classic Sam quips throughout the game. Totally varied sound.
Suggestions: More, more, more! Take everything you've got now, make it bigger, and keep it crazy, baby!
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 TimeSplitters 2
Overall: I regret ever buying this piece of crap. It sucks as a single player game and isn't worth a ding as a multiplayer game.
Gameplay: Same thing as TimeSplitters 1 with just a few extra things. Shouldn't have called it a sequel!!!!!!!!!!!
Graphics: Looks the same, not noticeably improved. I've seen better graphics 5 years ago. In summary, they suck.
Audio: beep boop bop bing blong gong shong mong. There I've just summarized everything you will hear........
Suggestions: Don't bother.
Overall Score: 2.0 / 10 Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Overall: Yeah, yeah, this game has some cool tricks at first, like being able to drag dudes, choke them from behind, and dress up in other people's clothes, but once you get past all the gimmiks, it's basically the same mission over and over again.
Gameplay: Pretty standard for a game of this ilk. Although it really bothers me that your character can be shot about 50 times without dying on "normal" difficulty.
Graphics: The framerate keeps a constant pace, but only due to the lackluster environments and non-detailed character models. Overall pretty bland. Even the blood splatters are underwhelming.
Audio: I don't hear anything so great. The gunplay is substandard, and there is a lacking in the voice-over arena.
Suggestions: If this game isn't improved upon in the next incarnation, a hit should be put out on the developers.
Overall Score: 6.0 / 10 Conflict: Desert Storm
Overall: This game is definitely a slow burn. It takes a little work to learn the controls and get into, but once you're through training and the first two missions, you are totally and utterly hooked. So hooked, in fact, that you'll want to play through the entire game again at a higher difficulty just to see if you can do even better. And don't even get me started on how good multiplayer is.
Gameplay: Again, it will take your brain a little while to get the controls, but once you do it's smooth as butter, baby!
Graphics: Some reviews I've read on other sites tear CDS apart for its graphics, but I don't see where they're coming from. Perhaps it's because many of the missions take place in the desert, people think the designers took graphic shortcuts. Entirely not the case, and this becomes apparent during the city scenes. Great weather, lighting, and sandstorm effects. The best graphics ever on Xbox? No, but still pretty !&%$@#* great!
Audio: One of the game's best features. Different voice-over accents for the UK and US squads. You can hear the bullets zinging from different directions. Highly varied orders being yelled out. Top-notch!
Suggestions: Expand upon what's already been done, and make the inventory a touch easier to manage.
