Overall: overall, I would say that this is a decent golf game, but I think I will skip out on this title next season unless ea gets their act together and put an effort into making a very good game. graphics are not great, sound is okay at best, and the gameplay is too easy. ea does provide a good number of courses, and some of my favourites such as TPC at Sawgrass, and St. Andrews. I enjoyed the addition of the Legend Tour, but I find it can be tedious to play because you have to play these awful golfers, that and the pros that are in it are easy to beat. Overall, I like the concept of the Legend Tour, but it could be done much better. The legend scenarios are a waste of time. I find its just a quick addition to the game to try and make it last longer. who cares about playing them, there is just no point. the pga tour season is okay, but from what i have played, its not very authentic for a game with the title PGA Tour in it. tiger proofing is a nice addition to make the courses much harder, but you are very limited to what you can change. the gameface feature lets you create yourself as closely as you can to resemble yourself, even your own swing which is a very good idea. with this all said, this is a good game, a good buy, but this game has much more potential to be an excellent game.
Gameplay: the game is simple to play, just pull the thumbstick back and push it back forward, and away goes the ball. using the power boost can give you the extra yards you need, and if you're ball is a little off, you can spin the ball in the air to adjust the way it lands. the spin feature is very unrealistic, but wow, can you ever shoot low scores. putting can be difficult, but with caddy-tips on, you'll be draining putts all the time. if that weren't it, there is a tiger vision button that shows you exactly where to line your putt and sink it 99% of the time; however, you can only do this no more then four times in a round. this makes putting too simple, and on top of that, all you do is line the putt up and swing. there is nothing present to have you hit the ball at certain speeds as compared to other games such as links. i believe putting is too simple in this game, as with the rest of the game.
Graphics: awful. these graphics are very sub-par for the xbox's capabilities. more time needs to be spent polishing up the envirnoment. the golfer models are fine, but could be done better. i like the gameface features, but i could never get my character to look like myself, but i think that is just me
Sound: the sound is ok, can't say its bad or anything since there isn't much to talk about. the announcers can get annoying like they usually do with other ea games, but they also have some funny stuff to say with insulting and correcting each other. the music in the gameface menu is awful when you edit your character all the time. why must it be the same stupid song over and over, and why must it be an awful song in the first place. thankfully, you can turn it off.
Suggestions: -> more golfers such as LEFT HANDED GOLFERS
->in the legends tour, use real golfers instead of made up golfers
-> get rid of justin timberlake, there is no reason to have him in this game, this is golf, not ***** tv
-> spend more time on the graphics since they are very sub-par for the xbox
-> if you have a sound of the crowd cheering you on, would you not think you should see them......
-> the game is too easy (shooting 20-30 under par all the time, can be fun, but gets boring after awhile)
-> make a more authentic pga tour season, add more "actual" tournaments that are "actually" played on the tour
-> for all the equipment that you have, WHY IS THERE STILL NO TITLEIST
-> in general, ea, you have the money, so spend it to make better games, because most of your games are sucking now a-days

Overall: Most realistic golf sim for Xbox. Added dimensions to 2005 edition include : Legends (Palmer, Player, etc.), XBOX LIVE (FINALLY!!!!!!!!), a few more course, and TIGER PROOFING.
Gameplay: Game play hasn't changed much in this 3rd incarnation of Tiger Woods. Same swing mechanics (which take about an hour to master) dominate the key to success. A few glitches every other round are minor flaws (ie, hitting into rough edge and the system places you on the edge of the green). TIGER vision (which you get 2-4 per round gives you the exact line for putts) needs to be removed as all it does is basically give you an excuse for a poor approach shot!
Graphics: Nice presentation for the replica courses, and the fictitious courses are AWESOME although quite impractical ( I guess Tiger has BOATS off screen to take you to all the island greens and fairways!).
Sound: Add a few variations to last years game. My favorite is the drunk Heckler that screams some undecipherable garble. Who would buy a Golf game for the "sound" anyway?
Suggestions: DUMP the annoying "Tiger Vision" feature (let the players decide who RULES XBOX LIVE!)

Overall: ''Tiger woods PGA tour 2005'' is a good game, but does it beat links? In my oppinion it does not, in gameplay, in visual quality and the lack of online play for the game here in europe is just another reason to choose links2004 instead. However it is a good game, that relys on it's unique gameplay to hold it's ground... and with new additions to this title every year it proves that it is a popular game. Unique features, great gameplay and a great player and course editing system make this game a worthy competitor for the sports genre.
Gameplay: Gameplay is easy enough to pick up and play, and doesnt require a golfing maniac to get to grips with.Gameplay offers an almost addictive quality, and you find yourself constantly telling yourself, ''okay just one more hole'' however good, I still feel that the game is beaten by links in terms of gameplay... I feel it is more accesibal to people new to the sport, and at the same time more of an experience to those obsessed with golf. There are plenty of game modes in PGA2005... more than you find in links, ranging from short arcade style games, to the PGA tour it'self! Multiplayer in PGA 2005 is also good, boasting plenty of modes to keep everyone occupied... however, here in Europe we dont have the luxury of live play for this game... but even with the lack of online play, there is still enough longetivity in this game to last right until the next is released. Good gameplay altogether, but narrowly outcalssed by links
Graphics: This is one of the major down points of this game... in some areas it looks like courses are unfinished, it is blocky and horrible... When you take your shot crowds cheer, and as uplifting as that might be... you begin to suspect that the crowds are in your head, because when you look around you will find that there are no crowds anywhere... NOBODY, but when you play links there are hundreds 3D crowds randomly waving and cheering you on.... and in PGA tour there is nobody, not even the pixelated cut-out people that EA is famous for... not exaclty pushing the xbox.Water effects are also bad and character models are just acceptable. Overall visuals are really not what we should be seeing on the xbox and at best TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 2005 looks just average... Visuals are another area where PGA is beaten by links, but this time PGA is more than beaten... it is completly KILLED.
Sound: Neither PGA tour or links are exactly music to your ears, but again PGA tour is beaten because you can't rip your own tracks... Commentary is good in places, but the commentators often seem a bit wierd... and it is also strange when ivisable crowds cheer you on. environments dont give the audio impresion that you are there, but swings and character movements are okay.
Suggestions: graphical improvements
