With the NFL Season being over and me losing 20 bucks on the Super Bowl, I have been in great denial for the past two weeks with no football to watch at all. Sure there was the Pro Bowl this past Saturday, but that?s not football?"

Overall: i think this game is real good, it is simple to understand the plays and what u are going to do. the graphics are great u can see the shine on a guys helmet!! I like this game a lot and it is easy to play.
Gameplay: the gameplay is good it is fast and easy to play. u can easily understamd the plays and how to run tthem quick an dgain yards.
Graphics: the visual is good it looks like the guys are really there playing with u and u can see what the look like and the shine on there helmet is great.
Sound: the sound is ok it could be better but i can hear how the people hit and the sounds but they are always the same sound crunch and samsh on after an other.
Suggestions: I say just work on the sound and it will be a good game and all i just turn up the tv volume to hear it.

Overall: I read all the bad reviews about this game and after playing Fever and Madden, I came to realize that ESPN Primetime wasn't that bad of a game. As far as being a coaching/GM/Owner simulation, or playing every down as the coach, etc. this game simply rocks.
It's way ahead of Madden in total GM involvement details, and controls better in some ways than Fever, and Sega 2k2.
Give it a rent, you may be amazed too, I was.
Gameplay: The AI plays very well with using the clock... something that I can't say for Madden or Sega 2k2, and the graphics are slightly less fantastic than are Madden or Sega, or Fever... but it's not a system jump in technical ability. It's still a very enjoyable game to watch and play. For those who think it looks like a N64 football game, pull your heads out please. I had Madden N64 games, and this game isn't anything like that.
Franchise and coach, GMing your favorite team through the years to create a dynasty is where this game is at, and it has it in spades.
Graphics: With only a little more graphical work, this game could have competed with the big boy/media-hyped NFL Games. It's sad that most reviewers that I've read are so put off by the slightly lesser graphics, so much so that they miss out on a fantastic game.
- Smart computer A.I. - check
- Good passing and running game from both sides of the ball, and for A.I. on both sides of the ball - check
- Graphics that are slightly lower than NFL Fever, but still much better than anything from the Dreamcast generation - check

Sound: Oh man, the announcers. Yes! He could go all the way! Chris is in the game.
It's ESPN announcing quality, something that is fantastic.
There are very few repeat phrases in the same game, maybe one or two lines get repeated, once... unlike Madden games where it's just so much better to shut John off.
We know you have money John, and a good game, but could you at least try to say more than a could lines that get repeated every other minute throughout the whole game?!? Sheesh

Suggestions: Better marketing could have made this game a hit, or contender.
Heck, any marketing, as I don't remember seeing any marketing for this game.

Overall: I'm going to be honest, this game will not make you happy after the first play. But, if you keep playing and trying to like it, you will. I think this is the best football game there is to own if you are a real football junkie. It provides a great Franchise, good animations, and some lasting appeal. I own every football title available to the X-box and this is by far the best. There are tons of flaws in the game, but if someone lined all four football titles up, ESPN Primetime would be my pick.
Gameplay: This game is far from perfect in the gameplay appeal. Starting you off on rookie in your first game would've been a wise idea, because my first time playing I couldn't get a first down on over 8 attempts. The game wasn't on for more than 20 minutes when I decided to turn it off. Yet, after you get used to the graphics and the way the game has a feel for realism unlike any other title you will really appreciate it. The way the running handles is absolutely gorgeous, and the passing doesn't turn out to be so bad either. Contrary to what others may say, animations are beautifully done, and the game offers a wide variety in it's Franchise to keep you going.
Graphics: At best, the graphics are of Playstation value. When I first turned on this game I laughed at the visuals. The Player Models are just plain goofy. The guys are all stretched out and the faces look like something out of a cartoon. If your the type of person who can't stand a game with ugly visuals, then stay away! The cameras in the game should never close up on faces, because it really shows how little effort the team put into the graphics. Do not buy this or rent it looking for a visual showcase, the back of the box infers it's not before you even think of it.
Sound: The commentating in this game is horrible. ESPN's license went to waste here because Chris Berman couldn't call a touchdown to save his life. "He Could Go All The Way!", after I'd already been tackled Berman decides to spit this out. Sometimes he would stutter when you get tripped up and finish it off when you fell into the endzone. But the repetitive announcement of the down and yardline, get annoying. This commentating is just plain awful compared to that of NFL 2k2 and Madden.
Suggestions: Well since the ESPN license has already been handed over to Sega, I hope that on your next attempt I am already involved in the video game business and working for you. These visuals are stale, and with a new build-up on graphics this game could've been the powerhouse that dethroned the sleeping giant of John Madden. I recomend picking me up when I graduate from college, because I have some great ideas that could easily make the best Football game ever.
