Resident Evil 5 and Star Ocean 4 Hardware Bundles

If you were looking into picking up an import Xbox 360, now’s the time to do it! Microsoft is teaming up with Square Enix and Capcom to deliver special hardware bundles for Star Ocean 4 and Resident Evil 5 over in Japan.

Star Ocean 4 will be combined with the Xbox 360 Arcade system for the Star Ocean 4 Premium Pack. Inside the box, buyers will find a copy of Star Ocean 4, a 360 Arcade unit complete with the Xbox Live Arcade Omniverse Disk, a Star Ocean 4 faceplate, and a Star Ocean series soundtrack. This entire bundle will cost 24,800 yen -- a good savings over the 28,725 yen of buying everything separately.

Resident Evil 5, or Biohazard 5 as its known in Japan, will be combined with a 60 gigabyte 360 system for the Biohazard 5 Premium Pack. This bundle includes the game, the system, a headset, and a code for accessing a premium RE5 theme. Pricing for this bundle is set at 34,800 yen, also a ways lower than the 38,600 yen price of buying everything separately.

The hardware bundles will be released opposite the standalone releases, on February 19 for Star Ocean 4 and March 5 for Resident Evil 5.

These bundles are Japan only for for now. We’ll let you know if Microsoft decides to bring them our way.
