Activision Talks Sequels
Speaking in regards to its newly announced in-game ad deal with Massive, Activision presented a screenshot of what it referred to as “Guitar Hero 5” featuring a Burger King ad on the screen to describe how the ad deal would work.
During the event Activision went on to say that the next Tony Hawk game will play differently to previous iterations of the series. MTV Multiplayer reports the company as saying “you’re not going to be playing this game with a controller in your hands.” The next Tony Hawk game is expected to launch on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS in October.
Finally, the company spoke (again, briefly) about the next iteration of Call of Duty. The upcoming sequel, expected to be launching before the year ends, was referred to as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. No details on the game were released, though the franchise’s development cycles and newest name is making enough hints for itself.
Liverpool-based developer Bizarre Creations – the outfit responsible for the Project Gotham Racing series, now an Activision subsidiary – explained that it was working on a new James Bond title, as well as a game the developer described as "Mario Kart meets Forza."
