New Banjo, Viva Pinata Detailed
In conjunction with a Microsoft press event, the company officially named the new Rare titles: Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (pictured) and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise.Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is the first home console version entry into the franchise since 2000s Banjo-Tooie for Nintendo 64. The series Xbox 360 debut will be this November.
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is slated for September.
Both of the Rare games will be implementing community features. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts will allow players to invent new abilities for Banjo and design vehicles.
"...Players will continually find increasing ways to customize and improve their contraptions, creating an unprecedented level of user-generated content and emergent play for a 3D adventure game," claimed Microsoft in a statement.
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise will have gamers connecting through Xbox Live to collaborate on gardens for their living pinatas "as well as instantly introduce new piñata species to their garden through an innovative new feature utilizing the Xbox Live Vision Camera."
Microsofts other first-party published titles for 2008 include Epics Gears of War 2, Lionheads Fable 2 ("10 times the size of the iconic Xbox game"), Silicon Knights Too Human, Tecmos Ninja Gaiden II and the Xbox Live Arcade title, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One.
