Crackdown Team Celebrates BAFTA Success
RealTime Worlds is celebrating its double win at last nights BAFTA awards, making it the most successful European studio at the ceremony. After being nominated in five categories, Xbox 360 title Crackdown picked up gongs in the Action and Adventure and Use of Audio categories. "We were over the moon at being nominated at all, never mind being up for as many as five," commented Phil Wilson, producer on Crackdown. "BAFTAs are awards that are recognised and respected both outside the games industry and internationally, so were incredibly proud that everyones hard work has resulted in not just one but two of the prestigious gold masks." RealTime Worlds studio manager Colin Macdonald said that the success was testament to the sheer hard work of the studio. "Any creative industry is tough, and Crackdown was a massive undertaking for us - taking a team of 70 talented and exceptionally hard-working individuals to pull it off, but its amazing that Crackdowns achievements have been recognised - both by the game-playing public, and now by the BAFTA committee."Source: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/
