Skate Demo Delayed
The Xbox 360 demo for EA's highly-anticipated skate, the first true challenger to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater throne, has hit a snag. EA informed IGN that the demo, originally planned for an August 15 release, has been delayed. An EA representative told IGN: "Due to the intricacies of our skate demo, the demo release date has been pushed back a few days. We are trying something completely new for an Xbox Marketplace demo in allowing people to play the game and upload footage they take in-game to our skate website. Gamers can share clips of their best skate sessions for other people to comment on and rate. The skate.reel video upload functionality is much more technically complex than a standard offline demo, and the number of moving parts have resulted in undue and hard-to-predict delays. Our ship date for the game is still set for September 12 for Xbox 360 and September 24 for PlayStation 3." The demo is still expected to arrive before skate hits store shelves on September 12. With luck, the delay will only be a week. We'll be sure to let you know when the demo drops.Source: http://www.ign.com
