Splinter Cell Sneaks Out of 2007
Buried in its fiscal first quarter 2007-2008 financial results, Ubisoft has announced it has delayed the release of Splinter Cell: Conviction until the companys fourth quarter, which is January-March 2008. Originally expected to ship this November, the games absence at E3 last week gave us a hint that we might not see Sam Fisher this year. The fifth entry in this stealth series, Conviction aims to reinvent the Spinter Cell franchise. Fisher can no longer rely on his trusted bag of tools and iconic goggles. Hes gone beyond being a double agent and is now in Jason Bourne-type territory. Hes a fugitive without the intel of 3rd Echelon or the support of his friends. This time around, Fisher is going to need more than just a dark corner to survive... This time around gameplay is based on improvisation and your environment becomes your weapon. Youll need to react to changing situations and use the environment and the crowds around you to create diversions and deter your enemies.Source: http://www.ign.com
