Blue Dragon Demo Confirmed
In an interview with Gamespot, Mistwalkers Hironobu Sakaguchi has affirmed his development teams plan to release Blue Dragon in the West by announcing that a downloadable demo will be made available "in June or July" of this year. This will then be followed by the titles full release, currently scheduled for September. In the interview he goes on to discuss the games impact in Japan, stating that it is well on the way to sales of over 200,000 units; "Im highly satisfied with the sales, and it has proven to be one of the key platform drivers in the Japanese market. So I feel that our objective has been accomplished." The legendary former Square man also comments on his most famous former franchise, Final Fantasy. Asked what he would think of competing against a multiformat FF title on the Xbox 360, he responded "I feel that the Final Fantasy series should come to Xbox 360 as well. This is wise. It makes so much sense to me... it has so much potential in North America and in Europe. So theres a great chance for the series to succeed on 360 as well." But when pushed on the competitive aspect of a Final Fantasy game going head to head with Blue Dragon or Mistwalkers other forthcoming RPG title Lost Odyssey, his comments descended into barbs of mindless violence; "Im willing to break them into pieces, crush them at my feet."Source: http://www.oxm.co.uk
