Lost Planet Enemy Intel

It’s a planet so cold that simply going outside will cause your thermal energy to slowly but surely dwindle away. And that’s the least of your worries. The real issue with braving the elements would be the seemingly endless number of giant bug-like aliens known as the Akrid. Survival will be tough if you go out uninformed. Lucky for you, you won’t have to as Capcom has sent over some descriptions of the enemies you’ll find in Lost Planet along with screens and movies to help you identify them in the wild. When you’re done reading, make sure you go to the image gallery and video page for updated media. Akrid Overview Indigenous creatures to the planet, they have adapted to the extremely low temperatures. All Akrid possess the ability to extract a rare mineral from the frozen ground and chemically convert it inside themselves into "Thermal Energy" and use it as their energy source. Humans discovered the Thermal Energy inside the Akrid and fight them for the valuable resource in order to survive in the deadly cold. Name: CHRYATIS Intel: Extremely aggressive. Upon sensing thermal energy traces from any living being other than another Akrid, it immediately attacks the source as a threat that must be eradicated. Once in attack mode, the Chryatis won’t stop until all traces of thermal energy are gone. Name: TRILID Intel: Able to fly, these Akrid are weak on their own but attack in swarms to overcome their opponents. Name: DONGO Intel: With an extremely hard outer shell to protect it from attacks, it’s also able to turn the shell into a weapon by curling into a ball and ramming its foes at high speed.
