Splinter Cell: Double Agent Delayed
Ubisoft has announced a delay in the release of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Originally scheduled in for March this year, all versions of the sequel are now due to release simultaneously in September 2006. The rescheduling to September 2006 of the launch of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent is meant to release the title on all platforms simultaneously, including the Microsoft Xbox 360 that should have a much larger installed base by that time. This will also enable [us?] to maintain the highest quality for which Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is recognised. This rescheduling will ensure the best return from the coming release as well as from future sequels of this brand over time", Ubisoft has stated about the Double Agent delay. Splinter Cell: Double Agent finds series star Sam Fisher going undercover to infiltrate criminal organisation the John Brown Army. The game's co-producer Julien Gerighty spills plenty of details on the title in our recent interview.
