Sega Announces Virtua Tennis 3
Smashing news for tennis fans as Sega announces next-gen return SEGA will release Virtua Tennis 3 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next spring, the publisher has announced. The game, based on one of the publisher's most graphically impressive arcade titles, will also be on display at this year's E3 trade show. SEGA's creative director Matt Woodley describes it as "a genuine next generation sports game". With the core Virtua Tennis gameplay considered largely ideal in its past Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 iterations, development is focused on new mini-games for the career mode and improved AI, but it's the graphics that are most likely to excite gamers - a fact not lost on Woodley. "Instant appeal and all the best of the VT brand is being added to an array of new gameplay features. Virtua Tennis 3 provides a must have in-depth experience - though I'd say the graphics alone are reason to buy and the quality is so sharp and clear you can even see the veins on the players necks!" he says. Fans will also be pleased to hear that more tennis players will make it in, while the game's character-creation tool is likely to be one of the most in-depth yet seen in a sports title.Source: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/
