Microsoft Unveils $10 Price Point On Select Games
Microsoft on Thursday announced that it will introduce a collection of best-selling Xbox games called the Best of Platinum Hits to retail. Beginning in March, best-selling games like Fuzion Frenzy, Project Gotham Racing 2 and MechAssault will retail for $9.99. "Microsoft is very happy to introduce this new program to our customers. With over 24 million Xboxs and over 200 million games sold worldwide, we believe this new program provides a great value to Xbox owners, our retail partners, and publishers" states Gunn Robison, Director of Games Retail Marketing for Xbox. Other titles included in the program are Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Enter the Matrix, Shrek 2, Soul Calibur II, Tom Clancys Ghost Recon, Tony Hawks Underground, Tony Hawks Pro Skater, True Crimes: Streets of LA, and Counterstrike. Microsofts Xbox 360 console has sold under expectations on low availability. The software giant expects to sell around 4.5-5.5M units by fiscal June.Source: http://news.punchjump.com/
