Datel Offering Portable Hard Drive For Xbox 360
Datel has unveiled an external hard drive for Microsofts Xbox 360 console. 4Gb in capacity and connecting to the 360 via USB, its rumored that its recommended retail price will be set at around 99 GBP - which seems ridiculously steep considering the official 20Gb HDD sets you back 70 quid. Initial reaction has been less than favorable, so far the only real positive thing being said about it being its design. According to our pals over at Lik-Sang.com, Datels drive lacks features sported by Microsofts official Xbox 360 hard drive. Packaging for the 4Gb unit describes its as a "portable data storage" unit that can be used to store "1,000s of songs and over 5,000 images!" - so unlike the official hard drive, it cant store game saves and cant be used for online/Xbox Live stuff. Its a fancy-looking media files transfer device, then. An official price point and release date remains unconfirmed.Source: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/
